Hello my name is Milo Keevan this is the story of the pony transformation-virus. It started with a harder than normal flu season with 40% of people getting sick with it but the worst that people got was being bed sick for a few days and then getting better. I was lucky I got a weaker version of the flu and I was only out for a single day because I am at college studying for my environmental sciences degree. But 3 weeks after people got things started to get weird and we realized the full scope of the flu.
On march 21 I was woken up by my roommate John “yo dude, wake up. We got to go to class." As I wake up I look at my alarm and it is 7:10. “What did you do with your hair? It looks weird.” he said as he walked out of my room.
“I didn’t do anything to my hair. What are you talking about?” I ask him as I put on my clothes and go out to the bathroom. Once I get into the bathroom I look at my hair and notice it went from a dark reddish brown to an orangish brown. “Wow it does look different John. But I didn't do anything to it.”
“Well we can talk about your hair later now we need to get to spanish class.” he calls from the kitchen. Then I hear him walk out of the dorm and to class. I grab a granola bar and my backpack and head out to my dorm to class not giving a second thought to the way my hair changed. I start to make my way to my class and luckily I make it there on time.
When I was in class I noticed that the hair on some people were also changing. It was getting darker on some people and lighter on other people. After I noticed that I knew something was up but I still did not know what this would turn into for everyone.
After class I decided to head back to my dorm because I had another class later so I can do homework and relax before the next class. When I got back to my dorm I looked at my hair again and it changed to be lighter than it was in the morning. Which I thought was weird but did not think about it because I was feeling fine and not in any pain.
After my last class and dinner I went back to my dorm to scroll twitter and only when I started to know that other people were having the same symptoms as me with their hair changing. That ruled out what I thought it was at first just some dye getting into the water on campus. Unknown to me at the time this was only the beginning of our journey.
When I woke up I felt weird. I could not put my finger on it but I just felt like something was off with me and I could not tell what it was. As I went to the bathroom to brush my teeth I looked into the mirror and saw that my hair had completely turned orange and grown by at least 3 inches. The next thing I noticed is that my eyes turned from blue to a bright orange. “Oh no.” I say to myself feeling my hair and looking at my eyes “what is happening?” I wonder to myself as I brush my teeth and get dressed. As I eat breakfast I see my roommate John and his hair is lighter now and getting a pinker shade. ”What happened with your hair I ask?” when he walks in.
“I didn't do anything to it!” he says to me, clearly annoyed by what is happening. “Just like you yesterday I just woke up like this. I have no idea what is happening but I don’t like it. And with the look of your eyes I can tell that this is something more than just dye in water.”
“Yes I don’t know what's happening with my eyes but it also has made my skin feel weird. Like it has gotten harder over night.” I say as I feel my arm. “Well it’s a good thing I only have one class today then I am free.” Then I get up, grab my book bag and head to my class.
After my class and dinner I was back in my dorm and I heard my phone ring and I saw it from my mom and I answered it. “Hi mom.”
“Hi Milo, how are you? How is college going?”
“I’m good, college is good, my grads are good.”
“Well that's good. Well I was calling because I heard from Zoey and Ally that something is going around and changing people's hair color. I wanted to make sure you are ok.”
“Yes I got that thing you heard about it has changed my hair and eye color”
“Oh no. Are you ok? Do you need me to pick you up?”
“No mom, I am ok. You don't need to pick me up. I'm fine, almost everyone at the college has it so I think it will be best for me to stay here. Ok?”
“If you think that's best then ok but if anything happens call me and I will pick you up ok?”
“Yes ok bye mom”
“Bye now love you” she says as she hangs up. I sigh as I realize that this is going to be a bigger deal than I thought. After I hang up I start to scroll through twitter and release how big of a thing this is truly going to be.
The next day I woke up with a strange feeling all over my body that felt like my skin was getting less flexible. I also feel this pulling on my back up near my shoulder. I put my hand on my back where I feel that and I notice how my skin feels harder, more like leather than normal. I ignore the weird feeling of my skin. I can not feel anything wrong with my back so I ignore it and get out of my bed and head to the bathroom to brush my teeth and take a shower.
When I got to the bathroom I stopped at the mirror and I paused at the thing I saw. My skin has darkened to a gray color and my hair and eyes have become bright orange. I am stunned by my appearance that I just stare at myself. I kept staring at myself until my roommate passed the bathroom and looked in at me and yelled “WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED?”
I yell back ”I DON’T KNOW! When I woke up my skin felt weird and I came here and now we are here.”
“Ok” John said “are you ok? Does anything hurt?”
“My back hurts some but not that much.” I say “other than that I feel fine.”
“Well that's good I guess” he replies with a sigh. “Do you think that it is because of the hair and eye changing things?”
“Yes I do.” I say to him “I don’t feel bad or in any pain so I’m just gonna ignore it until it starts to hurt. Can you go out and get me some food please?”
“Sure I will go pick up some food for us.” he said, walking away from the bathroom and out the front door.
“This is so weird” I say to myself as I finish brushing my teeth and then I start to get undressed as I am naked. I looked at my body and I noticed some weird things. I see around my upper stomach the color is lighter than the rest of my body. Then my gaze looks do and my penis has shrunk a few inches to my surprise. But I don't think that it is important to just finish my shower and get dressed.
After the shower I get dressed in my normal clothes and go on my phone and look through twitter. When I was scrolling through them I found that multiple people are having a similar problem that I am having but they are growing fur all over their body that is different colors like red and pink and people were freaking out about it. So I posted a picture of my arm and how it is not furry and then talked about how my skin is changing color and texture.
After John got back from the store he brought back a lot of food for the rest of the weekend. Once he put the food away and he came over to me and said “What's up? Find anything about what is happening to you?”
“Yes I did” I said to him as I pulled out my phone and opened the post about the other people that are changing like me. “It is happening to other people that had their hair changed. But mine is different because I'm not growing hair, my skin is just changing. But no one is dying but it is weird.”
“That is weird.” he said as he handed my phone back.
“Your eyes have changed to the way they are now, they are blue and your hair is pink.” I said to him, as I got up and got food from the kitchen.
“I know, '' he says “But like you said I’m not in pain so it doesn't matter. Have any authorities said anything yet?” he asked me.
“No, no one has said anything yet.” as I make a bowl of cereal. After I finish the cereal I go to my room and I don’t do anything for the rest of the day.
The next day was an important one in retrospect. When I woke up my back didn't hurt anymore but my skin felt weird and my hands and fingers felt weird. I looked down on my hands to see that there was more skin in between my fingers and I can’t fully pull them apart. As I got up I felt my arms that felt harder than normal. So I got up and went to the bathroom to look at myself and what I saw shocked me.
When I look at myself in the mirror I see my skin has become completely black. As I look at my skin more I think of it like a beetle shell as I feel my skin more. It is not completely hard but harder than it was yesterday. I also see my skin has turned a bit orange where my skin would bend. Those areas have not gotten hard like the rest of my skin. I make sure the door is shut when I start to get undressed to look at the rest of my body. As I take off my shirt I see I have 4 orange rings on my stomach. I feel them and I realize they are hard and have a fleshy feeling in between the rings. The feeling when I put my fingers between it made me feel weird because they feel extremely sensitive. I remembered that my back felt weird so I turned around and I saw that I have what looks like two wings that come out of my back near my shoulders. I looked at them in complete surprise and then I tried to move them and the wings that were around 8 inches. As I wanted them to go up I think that and they went up on my command. I kept moving them until I remembered that I needed to look at the rest of my body.
As I turn around I notice something on my head like a bump. I get close to the mirror and look at the bump and feel it. It does not hurt or feel uncomfortable which is good so I ignore it. As I took off my pants and looked down at my privates I realized my penis has shrunk more and my balls have completely disappeared and there was a weird slit under it. As soon as I realized this I had an idea of what was happening. I know that I am turning into a girl. This is not completely unwanted but it is a surprise. After I finish looking at my body I get into the shower and then get dressed and turn on the TV. As I walk into the living room and realize that I'm walking differently than I normally do and my toes are fused together and I put more weight on the part of my foot that's near my toes than normal.
As I turn on the TV to see that there is a commercial on the news show as they end it pops up with breaking news. As the show starts the newscaster says “welcome back if you have not seen it yet the white house released a statement on what is currently going on.” As she is talking I notice that her skin is now pink. She then explains that people are transforming into something else that is not human. She also states that the people that started changing first have had their hands and feet turn into hooves and they are turning into a horse like animals.
And then my roommate walks in and as I look over I see his skin has green fur all over it “have you seen the news?” I as he walks in.
“Yes it's weird and the school has canceled classes until this whole thing is over. They said that everyone should stay where they are and not leave.” he said when walking to his bedroom.
As he entered his room I heard my phone ring as I looked at it. It was my mom calling me. “Hi mom” I say as I answer the phone.
“Hi Milo, how are you?” she asked happily and I heard people talking in the background.
“I’m good, how are you?” i say.
“Well we got the disease that they are talking about on the news and we are changing.” she said with a hint of sadness.
“Well I have it too” I said to try and cheer her up. “Some people online said that about 40% of the people on earth have it. I think that I'm turning into a bug pony thing because of how my body looks.”
“Oh” she said with a little bit more hope than before “well we are surviving. Do you want me to pick you up?” she asked me.
I thought about it and came to my idea “no I think I will stay here. I don’t think this will last for long and they will find a cure for it soon.” unknown how wrong I truly was at this moment.
“Well ok but if you need us call and we will come pick you up.” she said to me. “Love you by Milo”
“Love you to mom” as I hang up I go out of my room and walk to the kitchen and see my roommate eating a sandwich.
“Does this taste weird?” as he hands me a sandwich.
I grab it and take a bite as I do. The ham tastes better than normal but the lettuce tastes really weird and I said “the ham tastes good but the lettuce tastes weird.”
“Well that's weird.” he said and rubbed his chin “that was the opposite for me the ham tastes weird.”
“Well it may be because we are becoming different species, we have different taste palates?” as I take out the lettuce and eat the rest of the sandwich.
“Man that sucks, if I can’t eat meat I am going to be so pissed.” my roommate said as he eats the lettuce I put down and and from his sandwich.
“Well we will not know what will happen until the transformation is finished.” I said as I finished my sandwich. After that the rest of the day not much happened and I went to bed.
As I was awakened by my alarm and I went to turn off my alarm I saw what happened to my hand. I did not have a hand. It was a hoof as I look at it is a little darker than the rest of my body and is harder than the rest of my body. As I get up to look at myself I get up on my legs but fall over as I can’t walk on 2 legs so I walk to the bathroom to look at myself.
I look completely at myself. I see the bump on my head has become a complete horn and it is a spiral about 8 inches long. My wings have completely grown throughout my whole body which was about 5 feet long. After that I saw how tall I was. I was over 7.5 feet tall. That was surprising to me because the news said people got smaller.
“Oh you're awake! That's good I was wondering when you would get up.” I heard someone say from the door and I look over there I see a pony at the door. He was about 4 feet tall and was a unicorn with pink hair and green fur. “You were out for a few days and I was worried and went to the doctors and they said you were ok but transforming.” he said as he walked towards me and gave me a hug.
I found that very uncomfortable “um who are you?” I tried to push him away but was unable to for some reason.
He looked at me with confusion then he remembered “oh you did not see me transform I am John” he says that with a smile which for some reason made my stomach feel warmer.
“Wow you got smaller.” I said with a laugh and then he started to laugh with me too. Then I ask him the important question “so how long was I out?”
He slowly stopped laughing and said “you have been out for three days.”. Immediately after he said that I started to panic and look around and he noticed “calm down nothing bad is happening the doctors notified your family and they know what's going on and I should get you to the office so they can look over you and have you call your family.” As he walks out of the bathroom I start to follow him.
As we walk through the room I walk like I have done before with no trouble as we head to the door I ask him “can I go get some clothes before we go?” I say as I look down and release that I am naked as I put a front hoof to cover myself.
He looks back at me and says “oh we do not wear clothes now they don’t fit anymore and people don’t need them any more.” he says as he walks to the door when he gets to it I see his horn light up and then a light on the knob that twisted it opening the door. I look at him in complete shock. As he walks out and I do not move after a few seconds he comes back and looks at me and sees my shock “oh you have never seen magic. I will explain on the way to the cafetera.” he says as he walks out and I follow him.
As we walked to the cafeteria he explained how everyone who was not transforming home and every one who was staying here even brought people from the town here. And once they get everyone in the cafeteria they explain how they did this to protect people until the transformations will be stopped in about 4 days then we can go home. But they keep us here so people will not attack us. The he explained the 4 major types of ponies called earth ponies that are just normal ponies like I normally see, pegasus where they have wings and can fly, unicorns that have horns and can use magic, and lastly bat ponies that have wings that look like bat wings and are the rarest type. He told me that I'm the only one of my race so the doctors want to look at me. He then explains that the magic is limited and only can lift things up and move them with magic but they think they can do other stuff.
As we walk to the doctors I notice that a lot of ponies are around and they are looking at me. I see them flying through the air, using magic, making plants grow and lastly sleeping. When I’m looking around I see that I am extremely tall. Most of the ponies are less than 4 feet tall. They seemed to fear me when I was walking to the doctors. Once we finally got to the doctors I had to duck to get in. As we walk in, a group of three people in lab coats come up to us.
“Hello mr. Smith I see Ms. Keevan is fully transformed and awake.” The female doctor says she waves her hand and the two male doctors walk into a room on the side.
“Yes she has," he said “well I'm going to go now. Hope your test goes well.” as he walks out of the building.
“Well if you're hungry we got food for you ms. Keevan.” the doctor said.
“Yes, I am hungry, thank you.” I said as I followed the doctor into the same room as the other doctors went into. As soon as I stepped in I saw a table full of food on it.
As I walked to the table the doctor said “you can eat all you want, it is just for you.” As I walk to the table I start to smell all the food on it, realizing that most of it is fruits and veggies. I started by smelling them. First, realizing how bad they smell I pull my head back in discussion. I hear the doctors whispering to each other. I keep looking at the table realizing there is some chicken at the end of the table. I go over and it smells really good and I take a bite of it. Then I eat every piece on the table as I finished up the chicken. I realized that the doctors were talking the hole time and how long of a day I was in for.
This is the first time I tried to write something that is not for school so there are going to be mistakes if you find any point them out and I will correct them.
