A GLIMPSE AT THE BEAST WITHIN (Edited)

(Sureiya 1st pov)

I was absolutely livid, one minute I’m chilling and bathing with boo, and then the next thing I know, ponies storm into my camp and wreck shit up.

As I held the pony in my grasp, my tail tightened around his neck, squeezing with enough force to make him gag. I threw him to the ground, getting a better look at him. He was a unicorn stallion with an ash-gray coat and a light blue mane and tail. From what I could see, he had a decent build, and his armor stood out from the others, making it clear he was more important than the common foot soldiers surrounding him.

Looking back at the Demimonsters, I took stock of their condition. There were around 60 of them, but only 12 had been caught up in the skirmish, judging from the bloodstains, cuts, and bruises marring their bodies. Then I noticed something that made my blood boil—they had tied up the children.

They tied up fucking children.

A wave of pure rage surged through me as my bloodlust and killing intent started to leak uncontrollably. My eyes burned into the offenders, a dangerous glow flashing behind them.

“Sureiyā,” I heard a soft voice call. I turned to see Miia, bound and helpless among the captives. “Calm down, please. We’re okay,” she said, her voice gentle and reassuring.

Her words managed to cool the storm brewing inside me just enough to rein in my anger. But I turned back to the ponies, and that’s when I noticed six familiar faces. They were starting to put the pieces together, realizing who I was.

“So, we meet again,” I said coldly, my eyes narrowing.

The lavender one—Twilight—tried to speak, but her words died as I raised my hand.

“Why did you attack these people?” I asked, keeping my tone as neutral as I could manage.

The rainbow-maned pegasus darted up to me, her arrogance radiating. Clearly, this bitch hadn’t learned her lesson. “Listen here, buddy. We’ve been ordered by the princess to bring you in, and you’re coming, whether you like it or not.”

“Yeah, I don’t think so,” I growled. “I know the only reason she wants me is to figure out if I’m a threat.”

Suddenly, a gasp broke through the tension. I turned to see Miia staring at the guard I’d been holding earlier. She knew him. It was obvious.

“Miia,” I called, and she looked at me, her eyes filled with a sad, quiet understanding. “Is he…?”

She only nodded.

“I see,” I muttered, staring into the guard’s eyes.

Lifting him by his throat, I stared deep into his soul. What I saw disgusted me—his soul was black, a swirling mass of filth and corruption. Sins of lust, greed, and violence oozed from him. His atrocities extended far beyond the Demimonsters; he’d harmed his own kind as well.

With a snarl that no doubt twisted my mask into something monstrous, I dug my claws into the back of his neck. His screams filled the air, shrill and desperate. My claws connected to his spinal cord, allowing me to tap into his memories. I saw everything—every sick, twisted act he’d committed. And more importantly, I found what I was looking for.

When I was done, I let his body slump to the ground, his screams now just pitiful whimpers.

Another guard rushed me, even though he was unarmed. Admirable, but foolish. I sidestepped him with ease and delivered a swift chop to the back of his neck, dropping him like a sack of meat. Another guard tried his luck, aiming a kick at me. I grabbed his leg, lifted it higher, and drove my fist into his crotch, sending him into a high-pitched scream of agony.

Seven more charged at me in unison. I used the guard in my grasp as a weapon, swinging him into their ranks like a battering ram. Each impact was gruesome, their bodies crumpling like broken dolls. When I had reduced the last of them to unconscious heaps, I hurled the guard in my hands into a group of four more, sending them into the dirt.

The last two standing were unicorn mares, their horns barely sparking before I grabbed them by the heads and smashed their skulls together. They fell limp.

The four remaining pegasi guards took to the air, diving toward me like a pack of vultures. But I was quicker. I dodged easily and stung them all with my venom-laced stinger. They dropped, paralyzed, twitching on the ground like insects.

I looked back at the last conscious ones—Twilight and her friends—and the guard leader. Their faces were masks of terror, even the cyan one had lost her bravado.

Dragging the unconscious bodies of the guards, I dumped them in a heap before the remaining ponies.

“Leave. And do not come back.” I gestured to the Demimonsters. “These people are under my protection now. If any of you are foolish enough to return, you’ll regret it.”

Suddenly, the Demimonsters began to glow with a golden light. When it faded, they appeared stronger, healthier, more powerful. I recalled Faust’s words—Demimonsters grow stronger based on the strength of their leader. And now that I had inadvertently become their leader, they had evolved.

“Freaks. All of you freaks.”

The sneering voice was the unicorn stallion. He spat out more venomous words, his hate dripping like poison. “I pray that the princesses rise up and destroy and eradicate all of you. You’re nothing but freaks who deserve to be in chains or in the dirt”.

My patience snapped.

I stormed over to him, grabbing him by the arm. For the first time, I used my Overhaul ability on a living being. His arm exploded into a bloody mist, his screams like music to my ears. But I wasn’t done. Grabbing his jaw, I activated the ability again, and his lower face was reduced to a gory mess.

I cauterized the wound with my fire ability to make sure he didn’t die, then threw his mutilated body at the feet of Twilight and her friends.

“Get the fuck out of here. Now.”

They didn’t need to be told twice. Twilight teleported them all out, leaving the blood-soaked camp behind.

I turned to the others, their expressions unreadable but filled with shock. Before I could apologize for what they’d witnessed, they began to bow, one by one. Even the children.

“You’ve proven time and time again that you are here to help us,” BeniMaru said. “We will gladly follow you, my Lord.”

“Not exactly what I was expecting, but you know what this is fine,” I thought to myself.

“Master,” shion’s voice called out in my head, due to the ruckus that has been cost in this area I think it would be wise to move.

She definitely had a point there, for all I know they could come back and marching with a bigger army, or even the princesses themselves, Something we did not need right now.

“All right, listen up,” I said, clapping my hands together and catching their attention, with the commotion has been stirred up here, I believe it’s in our best interest to pack up and leave.

“whatever food rations we have left bring them to me to store away, grab any belongings and utensils you can carry and don’t worry I can always re-create more huts, so don’t worry about shelter.

Nodding their heads , they begin to gather what belongings and utensils they had and could carry, And within a few minutes, we were on the move.

Not exactly how I want it to start this off but hey, progress is progress.

Now Let’s just see where it takes me.
