//-------------------------------------------------------// An Alicorns Element -by FlutterRock28- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 1 //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 1 The two alicorn princesses couldn’t do anything for the insane citizens of ponyville for the time being that discord was dominant. They weren’t exactly as ‘mentally stable’ as they both wanted to be. Luna’s horn flashed as the morning sky turned into pitch black darkness. She grinned before being pinned back to the ground by her elder sister. Celestia chuckled before her horn glowed yellow and made the light of day once again shine down on ponyville. Luna kicked her sister off of her as she backed up. She then charged at the alicorn before her and collided into her. Princess Celestia cringed as she felt Luna’s – or rather Nightmare Moon’s horn penetrate her back, making her wing twist in an awkward position. She switched the tables as she zapped her sister’s back leg, making Luna grind her teeth together in pain. Luna kicked her hind hooves into Celestia’s face, smacking part of the princess’s horn in the process. The two sisters detached from their crooked positions as they both crashed into the walls behind them. Celestia gasped before speaking, “My poor, dear sister, have you forgotten once again that I am stronger than you?” With her flowing dark purple mane covering her face, Luna screamed, “No, I haven’t! But I DO know that you’ve grown soft since I left. A thousand years sister…a thousand years I’ve had time to plot against you, and grow stronger and better my own element! And what have you been doing here in ponyville exactly? Nothing. That’s what you’ve been doing!” The alicorns horns clashed together once more as they struggled to overpower each other. Luna’s stamina and strength was slowly draining as her sister stood above her, gazing into her soul it seemed. Luna closed her eyes and winced. “You should know by now what makes me angry, and this is DEFINITELY an exception! Nightmare Moon, you shall once again be reunited with the night sky! I here by condemn you, TO THE MOON!” Luna’s blank eyes widened as she felt both fear and anger boil within her very being. How DARE she say those words to her! How DARE she portray herself as a princess! Luna was NOT going to be wielded with such disrespect, and she was NOT going back into the inferno that her sister sent her to years before! With great power and strength, Luna flung her neck upwards, causing her horn to slash Celestia’s cheek, and knock over her crown. The crown that she had wanted for many years to belong to her… She hovered above her sister, who was now cowering beneath her and sobbing. Her eyes were wide with shock and surprise. Had her younger sister been right? Had she really grown soft? Was she really overpowering her? “You shall no longer rule us sister!” Luna was now speaking in her royal canterlotte voice, “We shall live in harmony on our own, and you shall be the one stuck on your own element for a thousand years! Prepare yourself for your fate!” Luna loomed above Celestia, her horn illuminating the darkness she had created, as she readied herself to attack her sister with the spell she had used against her long ago. But before she could proceed any further, a colorful light flashed in the sky, and a rainbow appeared. Their grayish coats returned to their regular white and teal. Their blank eyes returned to their normal colors as they gasped, finally returning to their sanity. The two alicorns just stared at each other.  Completely at a loss for words. They didn’t know what to say. As a price for immortality, they didn’t remember discords doings as a nightmare. They saw it as stone cold reality. Something they had actually done. All those harsh words they had spoken to each other, all those brutal marks they had left, all signs pointing to the fact that they had not forgiven each others pasts. And they weren’t willing to change their ways for the sake of their friendship. That’s when Celestia pondered, had she even known what friendship was at all? Was Twilight Sparkle the teacher, and she the student? Or was she really going soft, just like her sister had said? Did she even rightfully deserve the crown that had been thrown several feet away from her? In both shock and despair, and with a heavy heart, she used her magic to drag the golden crown to her feet. She lifted it so that it could levitate just at her sister’s eye level. She knocked over the smaller crown on Luna’s head, and replaced it with her own. The white alicorn lowered her head and walked away, with her pride destroyed. She never deserved that crown. After all, she didn’t even know what true harmony was. Luna just stood there, staring at her broken sister who was walking away from her. “Wait, sister…” Celestia stopped, not even bothering to look back as she kept her head down. Her eyes popped open as she felt something being propped on her head. “Take it. It’s yours. You know what true harmony is, you just forgot for a while…I definitely have a lot to learn about it…” Luna smiled warmly. Celestia looked up, as if she had suddenly become the younger sibling, and Luna the older one. Tears streaked past both their eyes as they hugged each other. They were no longer discords puppets, they weren’t being controlled. So from that point on, they would start anew. A real one. One in which they could control their actions, in which it would be their choice in what they did, and didn’t do. One in which they would live in harmony…forever…
