Cupcake wars!!
“Hello and welcome again, my viewers! I’m your host Pinke Pie and this is the most delicious and coolest show in whoooooooooole Equestria! The only war which is sweet, the CUPCAKE WAR!”
The host takes out a party cannon and starts shooting confetti as she bounces around with a smile.
“And, to help me judge this competition we have the co-founder of the first bakery in Ponyville, Sugar Cube Corner. Let’s give a warm welcome to Miss Cake!”
The light blue earth pony with pink swirly mane waves to the camera.
“Next, the owner of LeGrand’s bakery farm and former head baker of the famous Prench bakery, Petits Gâteaux. Chef Gustave LeGrande.
A griffin with an elegant mustache dedicates a small nod.
Pinkie giggles and hug the two judges as she winks an eye.
“Let’s meet the competitors, shall we?”
The scene is replaced by several takes of Ponyville. And suddenly, a gray pony with light blonde mane and cute-looking mismatched eyes.
“Hey there! I am Ditzy Doo, and I am the owner of Derpy’s muffin delicatessens. I have a full-time job as a mailmare in Ponyivlle, which helps me with my deliveries. I always have huge orders for my sweets. From muffins to cookies and even cupcakes! Winning Cupcake Wars will give me the opportunity to open my own shop in the outskirts of Ponyville and dedicate my passion full time. My assistant would be my best friend Carrot Top, we’ve been friends from since I am little. We are a great team together. I brought the imagination, Carrot the method and order.”
Carrot Top grins to the camera.
“As long as we are together, that prize is ours!”
As soon as the yellow pony with orange mane finishes talking, several takes of the capital, Canterlot show on screen. Half of a minute later, the city is replaced by a beige pony with brown mane working on making some dough.
“Hey! My name is Donut Joe, owner of Joe’s Donuts. Catnerlot’s most popular breakfast spot. I entered this competition only to prove everypone that just because my name is ‘Donut’ I can only bake donuts! Well, you’re wrong gentlecolts! Donuts are my specialty but I graduated with honors from the Academy of gifted bakers of Princess Celestia! My assistant would be Moon Dancer, she was a regular but one summer she started working part time with me for some extra bits to buy a new bookshelf or something and before I realized she became my right hoof pony. Win Cupcake Wars would make ponies finally realize I am more than just a donuttier so they can finally try my other baked goods!!”
Moon Dancer, a yellow unicorn with dark red hair with purple strands, just rolls her eyes and smile to the camera. She is wearing a black sweater and thick-framed glasses.
“I’ve been researching exotic flavors and recipes, and Joe have been kind enough to try them on his kitchen. With my knowledge and his cooking skills, we will crush the competition.”
Ponyville comes back to the screen and then it’s replaced by a cream-colored mare with a curly purple and pink mane.
“Hey! I am Bon-Bon, owner of Bon-Bon’s tastes. The Cakes may own the cake market in Ponyville but sweets are my territory. I may be an expert confectioner, but I have some experience with baked goods too. Winning Cupcake Wars would help me to expand to Appleloosa, or Trottingham, or anywhere. My assistant would be my partner Lyra, she is a little crazy with her human obsession, but she is very loyal and together we are the best team ever!”
A minty-green unicorn waves a hoof to the camera enthusiastically.
“Hey Bon-Bon! Do you know that TV is a human invention?!”
Bon-Bon face-hooves but end up giving Lyra a kiss on her cheek.
The scene cut right to various takes of a farm surrounded by apple trees. A mare kicking some trees looks at the camera and waves to the camera.
“Houdy fellas! Is a pleasure to meet ya’ll! Here at Sweet Apple Acres we like to make new friends. The name is Applejack, and me and ma’ family own Sweet Apple Acres, the biggest distributers of apples, and apple-based products like cider, apple jam, apple sauce, ya’ name it! Ma’ granny, who would be helping me today, teach me all A’ know about cookin’ since A’ was little. If we win Cupcake Wars we’ll make some improvements around the farm. We’re ready to the competition, right Granny?”
The old pony waved to the camera and went back to her nap.

Pinkie Pie smiled to the group of ponies.
“Bakers! Are you ready for the fun to start?! In only a few hours, Cloudsdale would celebrate their festival, including the best flyer competition. Both flyers and judges are hungry. Hungry for cupcakes! You already know Miss Cake and Gustave, now let me introduces you to our guest judge. Spit Fire, captain of the wonderful WONDERBOLTS!!”
The Wonderbolt leader walked in dressed in her jacked and sunglasses.
“It is a pleasure to be here. You better make me cheat on my diet worth it.”
Pinkie Pie giggled at this and bounced to a huge table full of all kinds of ingredients as she turned to the competitors.
“First challenge is flavor! Pegasi athletes must follow a strict diet, full of protein so their bodies can keep up with their speed. Here we have haybacon, sweet potatoes, carrots, dried fruit, cheeses of all kinds, organic honey, maple syrup, yummy daisies, olive oil, roses, just to name a few. They have to use at least three to make the most delicious of all cupcakes. You have an hour, your time starts… NOOOOOWWWWW!” she shouted firing her party cannon.
The four bakers ran to their assistant bakers to decide.
With Derpy:
“Carrot, we are lucky! Why don’t we make your famous carrot cake? Maybe a goat cheese cover with honey. It would be great!”
Carrot nodded enthusiastically.
“That’s a great idea! We can even use some olive oil for moisture. That always work to make it magical! Oh, and what about some nuts inside the dough? It would be a nice surprise for the judges!”
The two friends made a high-hoof and ran to get the ingredients.
With Donut Joe:
“Okay Moon Dancer, we’ve come to win! Do you have any ideas?”
“Remember that recipe I suggested you the other day that became a top seller at the store?”
“Oh yes! Maple and haybacon! You’re brilliant.”
“Let’s make the cupcake version of it and see how it goes!” agreed Moon Dancer. “Like with the donut we can add crumbles of haybacon on the dough to make it crunchy and delicious.”
“And since this is practically a breakfast cupcake, we can add a cream cheese cover to make to top it all. No, wait! Double cheese cover! Cream and goat cheese!”
“Oh, you’ve been reading the notes I’ve been leaving at your desk! That’s great!”
With Applejack:
“Ya’ know Granny? When A’ was little’ A’ loved yer’ cheese-apple pie. Is something out of this worl’. Why don’t we fill the cupcake with the filling. And A’ was thinkin’ in taking a big risk and combine it with a carrot and honey dough. It would make the fillin’ more amazing.”
Granny Smith nodded. “Good for me, move yer’ behind Applejack! Oh, and throw some peanuts on there. I am sure it’ll be good.”
“Let’s show em’ how us Apples do things, Granny!”
With Bon-Bon:
Bon-Bon looked at Lyra and nodded. “Chocolate! When I think in protein I always think about chocolate. A delicious chocolate cupcake with lots of walnuts and hazelnuts. Not only is delicious but with my brandy chocolate dough we’ll conquer the judges.”
“Hey Bonnie, do you know that if we were humans, we would get protein from beef or fish among the options. Imagine how crazy we could go if we had some of those among our options!”
“Lyra! You cannot say that you want to eat meat in national TV!”
Lyra chuckled. “Just kidding, love. To be honest, I love your chocolate dough but is a bit too sweet so I was thinking we could add something to counter the sweetness. Like mascarpone! Let’s make a mascarpone filling with a cream cheese cover!”
“Perfect! This is why I love you Lyra!”
They both share a quick kiss and run to get their ingredients.
…
As soon as the bakers get their ingredients, chaos ensues. Everypony is running up and down as they frantically mix the ingredients, make the batter, struggling to throw their cupcakes on the oven and start making the cover as they wait for the cupcakes to bake.
“Coming up, coming up!” shouts Moon Dancer carrying a hot tray with her magic.
The camera turns to Lyra is measuring the ingredients and passing them over to Bon-Bon who is putting everything on the industrial blender. Everypony is focusing on their own projects.
Derpy is carrying a lot of trays on her back when she trips, and all the trays end on the floor. She shakes her head and shrugs. “I don’t know what went wrong.”
“Luckily those were empty trays!” says Carrot as she helps her friend to stand up.
Suddenly Pinkie Pie pulls a megaphone out of thin air, takes a deep breath and speaks through it.
“Thirty minutes bakers! If I were you, I would fly!”
Spit Fire groans at the stupid pun. Gustave rolls his eyes, but Miss Cake just giggles.
After Pinkie says that, the bakers starts to freak out and start.
“Come on! Why those things cannot go faster!” complains Applejack staring at the oven.
“Let it be Applejack! As all things in life batter needs time.” said Granny Smith as she was making the pie filling.
Pinkie smiles and takes her megaphone again. “Attention bakers! The judges at the best flyer competition would evaluate you in gracefulness, agility, and speed! And that’s what you need now. Speed! Teeeeeeeeeeen minutes!!”
All of the bakers already have their cupcakes out of the oven, and now is the time to put on some decorations.
“Granny, hurry up with the decorations! Cupcakes cannot wait any longer!”
“Ya’ always runnin’ Applejack, if ya’ keep running like this ya’ll screw the final product! Is that what ya’ want?”
“ONE MINUTE BAKERS! ONE MINUTE!!”
The clock advances menacingly as the three judges start the countdown.
“Ten… nine… eight… seven… six… five… four… three… two… TIME’S UP!”
Commercial break:
“My Little Human, My Little Human… aaaaaaaah”

A toy Angel Bunny is playing the drums as it moves around Canterlot Castle with its wheels, then it continues its travel through Appleloosa, the Dragon Lands, the Yak Mountains
“Yep, still going, and going, and going! Bunnergizer Alkaline Batteries.”

Pinkie is standing in front of the bakers.
“Bakers, for this round you were asked to create a super-delicious cupcake based on the top-notch pegasi athletes’ diet! Hello Derpy!”
“Hey Pinkie Pie!”
“Tell us about your cupcake!”
The gray pegasus smiled. “For starters, we made a carrot cupcake, we added some olive oil to the bater to add an extra layer of flavor, and that extra protein bust every athlete needs on their meals. It has a goat-cheese and honey cover. I was about to add some extra sugar to the batter, but Carrot convinced me that honey is best.”
The judges raise an eyebrow and take a bite of the cupcake.
“What you say Gustave?”
The griffin elegantly cleaned his beak with a cloth napkin and twisted his mustache.
“What can I say? I can feel the carrot, the honey and cheese. I must congratulate you madame. Your friend nailed it with the suggestion. However, you owed me the olive oil, but I have three ingredients so I am happy!”
Gustave nods happily as Miss Cake gave Derpy a gentle smile.
“What can I say but delicious! Like Gustave said I don’t really feel the olive oil but we have what we asked. Great job!”
Spit Fire fixes her sunglasses.
“Derpy, you may create aerial disasters everywhere, but you are a magician on the kitchen! If the cupcake was a maneuver, I’ll give you a ten!”
Derpy blushes a little and makes a small nod happily. Pinkie winks an eye at her and turns to Applejack.
“Hey Cuz! So what are you planning to surprise us with?” asked Pinkie happily.
“Okay, for this we decided to take a risk and decided to make a carrot batter with honey. Too sweet so we cut off the sweetness with a cream cheese and apple fillin’. Granny Smith’s special recipe. Is decorated with peanuts and nuts because nothin’ goes better with apple pie than nuts!”
Pinkie nods and turns to the judges.
“What do you think Miss Cake?”
The good earth pony tries the cupcake and smiled after cleaning the crumbles with a napkin.
“Don’t take it the wrong way Applejack, but I am a bit disappointed with the overall result. I have all the ingredients but they do not go well together. There is no flavor harmony! Is like every flavor is trying to overcome the others. It doesn’t work for me!”
Applejack shakes her head in disbelief. She cannot believe what she is hearing.
“I’m afraid I agree!” says Gustave. “It tastes like a bunch of different desserts put together. It doesn’t work at all!”
Spit Fire shrugged and smiled. “Well, I did like it! I don’t know a thing about desserts, but this is great snack after a whole afternoon doing maneuvers. Great job, recruit!”
Applejack nodded and walked away as Donut Joe takes a step forward.
Pinkie Pie greets him with a smile. “Hey Donut Joe! I see that you stopped ruining other ponies’ desserts and become a good guy again.”
The baker groaned but smiled and proceeds to introduce his creation.
“This is a cupcake version of my famous maple and haybacon donut. It has a maple-flavored batter with bits of haybcon to make it extra crunchy. The cover is a combination of cream and goat cheese. Enjoy, this is one of Donut Joe’s specialty.”
Gustave cleaned the cover from his mustache.
“What do you want me to say Monseour? The only problem I have with this cupcake is that the goat cheese completely overwhelms the cream cheese.”
Donut Joe almost faints.
“But I have the three ingredients so I am happy!” continues the griffin.
Spit Fire finishes the cupcake. “This is great! Have a couple of these for breakfast and you get energy for a full day of maneuvers. Ten out of ten!”
Donut Joe nods and it is time for Bon-Bon to step forward and Pinkie greets her with a huge smile.
“Hey Bon-Bon, tell us about your cupcake.”
The baker presents her cupcake. “Well, I think this is the perfect cupcake after a tiring day of training. It is a chocolate batter with walnuts and hazelnuts. We also counter arrest the sweetness of the chocolate with a mascarpone filing and a cream cheese cover. I hope you enjoy.”
Pinkie relishes as she looks to the camera. “Sound delicious! What do you think Miss Cake?”
“I was a bit worried that the cream cheese would overcome the mascarpone but surprisingly enough the two cheeses combined perfectly. The two flavors complement each other and the crunchiness of the nuts gives a especial touch. I really like it. I may buy you the recipe for the store one of these days.”
Pinkie’s eyes widen. “Oh wow! It must be reall y good then! What do you think Gustave?”
The griffon finishes the cupcake.
“Actions tell more than words. Magnifique!”
Pinkie smiles to the bakers.
“Very well bakers, the judges have a lot to talk about. Good luck everyone!”
Commercial break:
Images of Carrousel Boutique latest dresses are flashed through the screen. Carrousel Boutique, elegance and fashion for all.

Back with Pinkie and the bakers:
“Bakers! For this round you were asked to bake a cupcake based on the diet of pegasi athletes. One of you took a risk by combining her signature desserts into one, but sadly it didn’t work. It really hurts my heart to do this to one of my best friends in the whooooole world, but is my job. I am sorry Applejack but you’re going home!”
Applejack sighed and nodded, waving a hoof to say goodbye. She started walk through the main door alongside with Granny Smith. She looks at the camera.
“A’ take a gamble and lost. A’ took too many risks with that combination and it didn’t work out as planned. Cupcake wars is one of greatest challenges A’ve faced. A’ thought that A’ could handle it but maybe one day.”
Back with Pinkie Pie:
“Bakers, whoever passes to the next round would have to create a structure capable to hold one thousand cupcakes that you’ll offer at the famous Cloudsdale festival. But in order to get there, you’ll have to pass this challenge first, where we will evaluate both presentation and flavor. For this round you’ll have to create three cupcakes that represent everything what Cloudsdale is. They have ninety minutes. Your time starts… NOW!”
Pinkie Pie fires her party cannon, and the bakers run to their station.
With Derpy:
Carrot Top turns to Derpy. “You lived in Cloudsdale when you were little, right? What comes to your mind when you think in Cloudsdale?”
The gray pegasus smiles happily. “Well, clouds derp! We have to make a chocolate cupcake with delicious marshmallow clouds. Oh, I’m tasting it already! Then the next things that comes to mind is the flying academy! Back in the day they constantly told us to get as much vitamin C as possible because the sky is colder than ground and young pegasi can easily get a cold and gave us orange juice every day. So what about an orange cupcake with lemon cover!”
Carrot Top nods approvingly. “Sounds great! We can decorate it with a pegasus wing made out of an orange segment!”
Derpy smiles. “What a great idea Carrot! Then the next thing that comes to mind when I think of Cloudsdale is the weather factory! We can make a storm cupcake, a storm of flavor! A fruit cupcake with blueberries on the batter as it was muffin with a strawberry filling decorated with lemon cream and we can also add it a straw filled with orange liquor to represent the rain that keeps the earth alive!”
“Alright let’s go!”
With Donut Joe and Moon Dancer:
“Okay, Cloudsale equals clouds, very obvious.” says Donut Joe. “Any suggestions Moon?”
The unicorn thinks about it for about half a second. “What about a bubbly and fluffy flavor like champagne and strawberry cupcake? We can decorate it as a cloud!”
“Sounds good! Now when I think of Cloudsdale, the first thing comes to my mind is the best flyers competition. I know! A Wonderbolt-themed cupcake! We can make a Blue Velvet cupcake decorated with yellow fondant lightnings! And finally, we can make a rainbow cupcake, you know. To represent the weather factory! A spicy cupcake because you know… rainbows are very spicy too!”
“Have you tried a rainbow before?”
“Yeah, I was in a fieldtrip with my school and someone dared me to try it.”
Moon Dancer nods. “I see. Okay, so what about ginger, cayenne pepper and saffron? We add some coloring, and bam! We have a rainbow cupcake.”
With Lyra and Bon-Bon:
“Lyra, you’ve been in Cloudsdale before. What do you think about the city besides clouds?”
Lyra thinks about it for a second. “Okay… pegasi and the weather factory. Oh, also Rainbow Dash’s Sonic Rainboom which is the stuff of legends. We can make a Sonic Rainboom cupcake.”
Bon-Bon smiles. “Great! But I’m not a fan of adding too much food coloring so we can use different types of fruits to make for the color. We can also make something related with the weather factory. When pegasi schedule a storm you have to stay at home and drink hot chocolate or tea with some cookies… we can make a vanilla cupcake with nuts like my homemade cookies that I make every time the pegasi schedule a storm, and we can make some green tea cover! It would be great!”
Lyra smiles. “Cool! Oh, what about something related to the tornado Ponyville’s pegasi create to send water to the weather factory?”
“Lyra you’re a genius! Yes it would be a great idea! A Blue Curacao cupcake with blueberry cream in the shape of a tornado!”
Lyra winks to the camera. “As human say, all hands-on deck!”
Bon-Bon makes an exasperated groan but runs to get the ingredients.

Pinkie Pie shots confetti and serpentines with her party cannon.
“Young flyers would be tired after flying all day and they’ll need cupcakes to replenish their strength! You have one hour bakers!!”
As soon as she finished talking, the bakers started to freak out.
“Dang it, dang it, dang it!!”
“Those oranges do not like pegasus wings! We have to start again!”
“For Celestia’s sake, Lyra. Stop goofing around and take it seriously!”
“Hurry up, we have to win!”
“The first ones to put the cupcakes in the oven!”
Pinkie giggled at the frantic chaos as she shoots her party cannon again.
“The weather factory called, it’s time for the perfect storm bakers! THIRTY MINUTES, YOU HAVE THIRTY MINUTES!”
Groans, curses, shouting. Everypony was in pure chaos running around with trays of cupcakes and mixing bowls, sometimes bumping against each other as they desperately finished setting up the decorations on their cupcakes.
Finally Pinkie makes the final announcement. “One minute, bakers! You have to be ready to take the stage. Five, four, three, two, one… TIME’S OVER GUYS!”
The bakers finally cleaned the sweat out of their foreheads as they just finish to put the cupcakes on the plate.
Pinkie smiles at them. “Great job bakers! You were asked to create three separate cupcakes that represent Cloudsdale. Two of you would pass to the next round, and one of you would go home. Hey Derpy!”
“Hello again Pinkie!”
“Please tell us about your cupcakes.”
Derpy smiles and proudly presents her cupcakes.
“Okay, our first cupcake represent mornings of every young pegasus. Since we live on top of the clouds we have to have lots of Vitamin C to not to catch a cold. I just made an orange cupcake with a delicious lemon cover decorated with an orange segment cut to look like a pegasus wing. The second cupcake represents the clouds of Cloudsdale, is a chocolate cupcake with marshmellow clouds decorated with tiny sugar raindrops and fondant lightings. Finally, we decided represent weather itself and how it keeps alive the earth, so we made a mixed berries cupcake decorated with our light cream cheese cover to represent shaped like a cloud, and it has a little straw filled with orange liquor to moisture the cupcake as the rain moisture the forest.”
Pinkie covers her mouth with a hoof so no one sees her drooling. She shakes her head and turns to the judges.
“What do you think Gustave?”
The griffon tries the cupcakes. “This is delicious! Excellent, magnifique cupcakes madame! You definitely captured the essence of Cloudsdale with theses flavors. My favorite was the citric cupcake, not only because it was delicious but because of the originality of the theme.”
Spit Fire had to agree. “You are right, orange juice are a vital part of our breakfasts at Cloudsdale. It’s a shame you don’t live at Cloudsdale anymore, those cupcakes would be a huge success!”
Pinkie nods and turns to Bon-Bon.
“Tell us about your cupcake Bon-Bon.”
The confectioner confidently smiles.
“When I think about Cloudsdale what always come to my mind are the pegasi programming a storm. The first cupcake is a ‘stay at home during the storm’ cupcake, with a vanilla with nuts batter and a green tea cover. The second cupcake is inspired in the pegasi gathering water from Ponyville to then send it to the weather factory, is a Blue Curacao cupcake with blueberry cover shaped as the water tornado. And finally a multi-colored cupcake representing the legendary Sonic Rainboom. No artificial food coloring here, all the colors are from the different fruits we used in our delicious cupcake!”
Donut Joe’s flinch at the mention of food coloring, but says nothing.
Pinkie turns to the judges. “Judges, what do you think about this cupcake?”
Miss Cake smiles kindly.
“Alright Bon-Bon, great cupcakes but with the exception of the third one, none of them actually represent Cloudsdale. Seems that the star of your cupcakes is Ponyville. I’m sorry, I do liked the cupcakes but I cannot give them a pass.”
Gustave shakes his head. “I am with Madame Cake. The cupcakes are greatly executed but only one represents Cloudsdale.”
Bon-Bon lowered her head as Spits Fire tries hers.
“I give you a 5.5, the maneuver was greatly executed but a little out of place.”
Pinkie gives Bon-Bon a concerned look but she knows she can’t do anything for her.
“Donut Joe, tell us about your cupcake.”
The donuttier takes a step forward and starts describing his cupcake.
“Alright, the first one is a spicy rainbow cupcake. Everypony knows that rainbows are spicy as hell, so we made a multi-colored ginger, saffron and cayenne pepper cupcake. A little treat that reminds you the weather factory. The second cupcake is a Wonderbolt-themed cupcake, is blue velvet decorated with yellow lighting as the mighty flyer team. And finally, we created a cloud cupcake, champagne batter with strawberry filling and a marshmallow cover to make it as clouds!”
Pinkie Pie smiled and turns to the judges.
“What do you think Gustave?”
The griffon stuck out his tongue, showing it was now multicolored.
“My biggest problem here is the excessive use of food coloring. The rainbow theme was a great idea, and I admit I had the spice punch I was hopping for, but the coloring was a bit too much for me.”
Miss Cake nods. “I am with Gustave. Us bakers have to use food coloring all the time but you overdid it. Other than that, I liked the flavors. Great job Joe!”
Donut Joe says nothing and nods as Pinkie Pie stares to the camera, making the camera pony to move backwards.
“Alright everypony! The judges have a lot to deliberate, see you in a while!”
Commercial break:
“My name is Sterling Silver, and this is my pawn shop. I work here with my dad, and my daughter Silver Spoon. Everything haves a history and a price. If something I’ve learned after 20 years is that you never know what would come through this door.”

There’s a panoramic take of the Cupcake Wars kitchen and suddenly it switches back to Pinkie Pie.
“Bakers! For this challenge you’ve been asked to make a cupcake that represents the spirit of Cloudsdale. Unfortunately, one of you did not get the memo and the star of her creations was Ponyville not Cloudsdale. I am sorry Bon-Bon, you have to go home.”
The earth pony nodded and sighs as Lyra pats her back. She looks at the camera.
“I saw it coming. Well, at least they liked them. I think I need to put more thought on my cupcakes for the next time.”
“But it was fun, wasn’t it?” says Lyra.
They both kiss before walking to the door.
Pinkie Pie turns to the bakers. “Congratulations bakers, you made it to the final round. Each of you would have to create a giant structure to display a thousand cupcakes! The winner would go to Cloudsdale the other one would walk home. But don’t worry, you won’t be doing this alone. Each of you would have four assistants and a carpenter to help you.”
The ten ponies enter through a side door.
“You have two hours, your time starts NOW!”
The two contestants ran to the carpenters.
Derpy smiles to the carpenter as she begins to explain her idea.
“So I want a replica of Canterlot Stadium, and put the cupcakes in the grandstands and on the center. And at the background I want a small cutout of the weather factory that you can see from the stadium so both Cloudsdale and the Stadium are well represented in the structure.”
The carpenter nodded. “Gotcha!”
Donut Joe is also discussing the plan with his assigned carpenter.
“We don’t have much time so let’s be clear. I want a replica of the city of Cloudsdale, get it? With the most important buildings well displayed but with enough space to put the cupcakes in between. Do you think you can do it?”
“Of course, I know Cloudsdale as well as the back of my hoof!”
They started working. The scandal made by pans, industrial blenders, ovens and such fills the air. It was so much chaos that Discord would be proud.
Pinkie Pie then shots her party cannon to the air. “Ninety minutes bakers! One of you would sky rocket to the city of Cloudsdale , the other would stay on the ground.”
They started to frantically put the trays of cupcakes in the oven, doing everything at unbelievable speed. Pinkie shot her party cannon again.
“Not only you but your business may sky rocket too if you win! One hour bakers, ONE HOUR!!”
Both carpenter entered the room carrying the structure and started to put them together.
Donut Joe glances at the Derpy’s structure. “Dang it, that thing is beautiful!”
Moon Dancer makes a small nod. “Don’t worry about that. Ours is more impressive!”
Both teams start to put the cupcakes on the giant structures just as Pinkie makes another funny comment and shots her party cannon for the last time.
“Time’s up! Hooves out of the structure!”
Both bakers make a high-hoof with their partners as they walk back to the judge panel for the last time.

“Bakers, you must feel super-duper proud of yourselves. You made it all the way to here, but only one can take off to Cloudsdale with Spit Fire. Joe, tell us about the structure.”
The unicorn smile happily and waves a hoof to the Cloudsdale model. “As you can see, I decided to symbolize what Cloudsdale is. The free spirit of the pegasi who give us clear skies or a miracle rain. My idea is to exalt all the magnificence of the place. My cupcakes represent the pegasi citizen walking through their city.”
Pinkie whistled impressed and examined the structure alongside with he judges and then she turned to Derpy.
“I am speechless! Derpy, tell me about your structure!”
Derpy nodded as she showed them the structure. “Well I based the structure in the Cloudsdale Stadium, where the festival would take place. The cupcakes are placed as both the performers and the public attending the festival. I also included the weather factory that you can see from distance at the stadium and is also Cloudsdale pride and joy.”
Pinkie was amazed looking t the structure, until Gustave called her back to reality by pulling her mane. Blushing, she nods.
“Very well bakers, now is time for the judges to decide. See you in a bit!”
Derpy and Donut Joe moveto a resting area as Gustave, Spit Fire and Miss Cake evaluate the structures.
“What do you say, judges? Donut Joe overdid himself, right? It is so great!”
“Joe nailed it when it comes to represent pegasi pride!” said Spit Fire. “We all love our city and he made a great job by representing the city. To be a unicorn he seems to know Cloudsdale very well.”
“What about Derpy?” asked Pinkie. “She chose topic of the festival and the best flyer competition instead and I must say I love this structure!”
Gustave agreed. “Yes, also her cupcakes were delicious.”
“Have you made your decision?” asked Pinkie.
“Yes call them please!” said Miss Cake.
The bakers walk back to the judge panel.
“Bakers, you two showed that you know your cupcakes. Impressing us one round at the time, but only one of you would go to Cloudsdale. Joe, your structure impressed the judges nailing pegasi pride.”
Donut Joe grins. “Thank you Pinkie Pie.”
Then Pinkie Pie tursns to Derpy. “Derpy, yours not only showed pegasi pride but you focused on the Cloudsdale Festival and the Best Flyer competition which is the event you are supposed to cater. Congratulations Derpy, YOU ARE GOING TO CLOUDSDALE!”
Said that, Pinkie stars dancing with Derpy who happily tags along and danced enthusiastically as well. Donut Joe simply took his hat off and sighs as he looks at the camera. “No, they made the right choice. I focused on Cloudsdale and Derpy chose the festival itself. I lost fair and square, but if I come back I swear I’ll take the prize home.”
Moon Dancer pats his back “At least we learned from this experience.”
Joe groans and both exit the kitchen.
The scene changes to the Cloudsdale festival, as Derpy and Carrot offer cupcakes on the VIP area. The camera even catches the Wonderbolts making a toast with the cupcakes before proceeding to enjoy them.
Derpy giggles to the camera. “Ehehehe, I always dreamed to be a part of the festival when I was little. I guess this is good enough!”
