//-------------------------------------------------------// The Pendant -by Thunder Ice- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// The Idea //-------------------------------------------------------// The Idea Chapter I: The Idea Thunder's P.O.V. After around about an hour of constantly placing books in their right order, I finally placed the last book in its proper place on the library's bookshelf. "Thank you so much, Thunder," Twilight said, thanking me for helping her, "With Spike gone, it's been a little harder to keep this place in order." "No problem, Twilight," I replied, getting down from the ladder I stood on. "By the way, where did Spike run off to, anyway?" I added, curious as to where the purple dragon had disappeared. He leaves all of a sudden, and no one seems to be surprised? "Him and Rarity left for a fashion show in Baltimare," Twilight replied. Figures. Of course, I had forgotten about Spike's obsession over that mare. Twilight then added, "I don't really think he goes for the fashion. I think he just goes so he could be with her." "That would make sense," I responded, chuckling at my own comment, with Twilight giggling along. Being tired with doing nothing but placing books for the past hour, I headed over to Twilight's couch to sit down. I rested into the cushions, letting its soft feel overtake me, as I dipped into relaxation. *RING RING RING* What the hell was that? Was it an alarm? Were my ears ringing? Was it the Equestrian Alert System? Asking these questions, I turned my head to the right, where the source of the sound came from. Oh yeah. Twilight's phone. Before I go on anymore, allow me to give you kind of a backstory as to what happened in the past 2 years since I arrived here in Equestria. As you have not noticed yet, when I first arrived here in Equestria, there were no phones. Phones did not exist. The only close communication with far away friends or family was from writing letters. There were no televisions, but only radios, with very limited music. There were also no computers. That was all when I first arrived. Then about a year after I came here, there were rumors going around that this company in Califoalnia was creating what appeared to be some sort of cell phone. It looked quite similar to the Apple Iphones on Earth. The rumors were indeed true, and within a few months after the rumors started, the Pear Ipony was released, and quickly gained fame throughout Equestria. No more would ponies have to write letters to each other and expect a response in a few weeks. Now they could get one in just 3 seconds. About a month after that, new rumors came around about a computer-looking machine being made. Again, they were true. The Belle computer was released, and gained even more fame than the phone. After that, televisions were created, and then began the shows and cartoons that followed: Pinkie and the Brain, Fallout: Equestria, The Trotting Dead, and even a cartoon called "My Little Human", which was similar to My Little Pony. I was surprised how they even knew about the human race, but I eventually found out they didn't. They believed humans were only fictional, yet each episode of MLH contained events that actually occured in human history. Julius Caesar's assassination, Pompeii, the Civil War, Lincoln's assassination, the Titanic disaster, Hindenburg disaster, 9/11, and a ton of other events. Surprisingly, all of the events were completely spot-on. Not a single part of each event was out of place. They got the Pompeii event historically accurate, and even 9/11. They had the World Trade Center, and they even had planes. Another surprise is that nopony even knew what the hell planes were. I'm pretty sure I'll be seeing that in the real world pretty soon. Anyway, back to reality. "I'll get it," Twilight said, which snapped me back to the real world. I watched as Twilight walked over to the phone, and with her magic, picked it up and answered it. The conversation she had was the typical conversation you'd originally hear on Earth. "Hello? Oh, Applejack, hi! What? It's stuck?" I nearly snickered at the question. To be honest, I've always had a dirty mind since I was a teenager. I couldn't help it. Anything anyone said sounded dirty to me. You know...boys will be boys. Or in this case, stallions. "Stuck where? ...What hole?" Damn, she's making it difficult not to laugh. But I also felt a bit serious as well. What were they really talking about? If they were talking about...that, then how would AJ be able to get anything stuck up there? "Okay, I'll be over in a minute. Bye!" Twilight pressed "end call" on the phone and placed it down onto the table. Quickly, she walked over to the door. "Uh...Twilight?" I spoke up, stopping her just a few feet from the door. She turned back, asking what I wanted. "What...were you guys...talking...about?"
