Careless Happeningsby LazeChaptersOG: A long rideFade, Part 1Fade, part 2SightingTextMessenger BirdProteinOG: A long ride"ALL ABOARD TO THE CRYSTAL EMPIRE!" "Welp, that's our queue." he muttered quietly to a sleeping Flurry. Getting up, crouching, with Flurry in his arm's, he hastily walked up to the train cart. "Ticket please." said the ticket agent. 'Hoofing' the ticket over, quick enough to be unseen by any pony, he quickly got to a seat, and covered more of himself and Flurry Heart with his large coat, and waited until the train started moving. "NEXT STOP, THE CRYSTAL EMPIRE!" said the conductor. The 'pony' breathed a sigh of relief, and said to himself, "This better be worth it." before looking to Flurry, still sound asleep, and said quietly to her, "And I hope we don't meet again. Your parent's must be worried." The train jolted forward, making him lurch back. He quickly checked on Flurry, but after seeing that she was still asleep, the 'pony' finaly relaxed. After everything he's done to take care of Flurry, be unseen, and a little planning, he was awaiting their destination, "Killing two birds with one stone." he said, then played his music on loop that fit the mood. "Heh, if Twilight saw my phone or earbuds, there would be so many questions. Hell, if she saw me, a human, there's no telling what would happen. (snort) A human in Equestria, like those fanfics." he muttered. He knew the darker side of the fanfics, but if this world was peaceful, somewhat, he didn't want to taint it. ^ 2 Hours Later ^ The human was starting to get a little tired, until Flurry started stirring in her sleep. "ma...ma..." "We'll be there soon, just wait." said the human, taking off his earbuds, pausing the music. It wasn't enough to calm Flurry however, and she began to cry. "Mama." 'Any louder and I'm gonna get attention.' he thought. Just as Flurry was about to wail, he began to whistle a song from a movie. 'I should see that movie when I get back.' he thought. He hummed the last half of the song, just as Flurry was falling asleep. Tiredly, he said, "You're a handful, you know that. " ^ 1 Hour Later ^ Flurry woke up with a yawn, and smiled when she saw the tired human. "Better not make me sing again." he said tiredly to her, but just as he was about to fall asleep Flurry stomach growled, "Man, your guys's stomachs are loud." he quietly said, annoyed, but it needed to be done. Getting the flask from his belt, he gently fed Flurry milk, while looking for anyone who was watching. No one did, and he finished feeding her without any issues. Once he knew that he was safe, he put away the half full flask of milk, and succumbed to his insomnia. ^ 3 Hours Later ^ He woke up with a jolt, looked at the pony who woke him, and froze. "Are you okay?" the pony mare asked. He got out of his shock and looked out the window, holding Flurry a little tighter, "Ye-Yeah! Um, yeah im fine." he said, thinking 'I hope she didn't see my face, even if i have this cloak on' "Are you sure? You were twitching there for a while." She asked concerned. 'Must be from stress and weird dreams. God I hope we get there soon.' he thought. "Umm?" "Huh, oh, sorry, got lost in thought... umm, weird question did you see my face?" he said, still looking out the window. "Uh... no, why?" "(Thank god) Heh, no reason," he then remembered the original question, "and yes, I'm fine, thanks." "Baa?" "Shh, go back to sleep." he said quietly to Flurry, unfortunately the mare heard her. "Oh, is that your foal!?" the mare exclaimed "(Shit.) Yeah, (for now), and I'm trying to get her to sleep, so, (go away go away go away)." "Oh sorry, what's her name?" the mare asked. "Fl, (NOT FLURRY HEART!), Flicker, her names Flicker Match. (seriously that's the best I could come up with!?)" he said, while silently scolding himself. "Such a cute name. Oh, where are my manners I'm--" "Look it was nice talking to you, but I really need to get her to sleep, and I need some privacy." he said a little forcefully, trying to make the mare leave. "Oh, alright. Well I hope I can see you again. Have a nice day!" she said, walking off. 'Man, I thought she'd never leave. I don't need to be attached to this world, or people... creatures... whatever, than I already am. I just need to return Flurry to her home, see if the mirror portal is there, and hopefully get to a more familiar place, even if it's not mine.' (sigh... ) 'And when I do... well... planning that is for later.' ^ 2 Hours Later ^ The human made sure to stay awake for the duration of the ride, watching any pony that walked by. He also made sure to have music to be entertained, he didn't want to be bored. But he was close now, the Crystal Empire was just a few minutes away. He then listed out the things he had to make sure he has everything. 'Let's see... Flurry Heart, phone, wallet, earbuds, solar panel, cable, flasks one, two, and three, cloak, glasses, and my favorite fingerless gloves. Alright, ready to go. That mirror better be there.' The train slowly came to a complete stop to the station, and the human was glad it did. He did not want to have a fussy baby right there, not when he's close. If she did wake-up, hopefully the rest of the milk and apple sauce in the flasks would be enough to appease her. 'I know you're a baby, but your picky.' he thought. "Crystal Empire everypony, watch your step!" the conductor said. "Welp, that's our queue." the human muttered quietly to a sleeping Flurry. He got up, crouching, with Flurry in his arm's and walked out the cart. (inhale)... (exhale)... "Finally." Author's Note Let me know what you think of this short. I've had this idea for some time now, and I wanted to post a small portion of it here. If it's good, I'll start from the beginning, if not, eh... I'll continue with my life, and read others fanfic. This is my first time writing something with effort, so please take this with a grain of salt or whatever. OG Title: Let me know what you think. Fade, Part 1The human groans from a headache to an alarm, and goes to turn it off, but before he turns off his alarm on his phone and goes back to sleep, he met with a forest in front of him. Confused, he wondered why he was in the forest before remembering, thinking out loud, "Oh, right. I wanted to be here." turns his alarm off, and goes back to sleeping against the tree. An hour later, he wakes again to the dawn of the forest, sunlight piercing through the trees, and into his eye's. He groans to the intrusive light when the sun began to come up. He was still tired, but gets up anyways. As the saying goes, 'the early bird gets the worm.' and he needed to find the nearest source of water. He went into the forest without thinking much, but didn't go totally unprepared, as he had a backpack full of stuff. He wanted to survive in it, and maby even thrive in it. After collecting his stuff, and getting on his bike, he rode off, opposite to the way he was facing while sleeping. Now fully awake, he sets his gears, and pedals at a moderate pace. One good long ride later, he finds a river that he could get water from, but looks for a place near the river to set camp first. "Too many trees..." "Not enough flow..." "Hmm...no..." After about 30 minutes of looking, he gives up and decides to set up right then and there. Parking his bike against a tree, and his backpack on the ground, he thinks of how to filter the river water. He remembers videos of how to make a filter, but those had plastic bottles, which he currently doesn't have. "but i can make one..." He got to work, collecting sticks, tree sap, mid size stones, and a lighter. After placing a pile of sap beside him, he made a small teepee full of sticks surrounded by stones, he lights a handfull of dry leaves on the bottom of it. It took a minute, but after a while it was looking promising. He knew it wasn't going to last so he walked to his backpack and shuffled through his stuff until he found what he was looking for, "a shovaxe..." It didn't take long to find a dead tree, and started chopping. The tree wasn't too thick, as he could grab it by the bark, but it was long. This was perfect for two of the things he needed, and gathered as many as his arm's could carry. When he got back to the fireplace it was almost out. 'Must've taken longer than I thought.' he thought, and dumps the wood next to the fire, and gets more sticks. Getting the fire going again, he puts some wood on top, with more to spare. 'prolly should've split it...' but it was already burning. He grabs one of the wood logs and used his shovaxe to split it in quarters. Then he splits the wood corners close to the bark as possible. After that, he went to his bag to get some fishing line, and went to tie all the wood pieces together. With the fire almost out he gets his mug. It was a stainless steel mug that could hold a lot of liquid, but unfortunately he had to use it to melt the sap. While the sap was melting, he collected 2 pieces of charcoal from the dying fire, and rubbed them together, making char-dust over the mug. Then, one of the stones around the fire exploded. It wasn't big, but luckily it didn't hit him. "Better hurry..." he said, speeding up his grinding. After about a minute, he mixes the coal and sap thoroughly, making sure it was still liquid. 'Pitch' He then gets his makeshift wood bottle, AKA, a square filter, and pours the pitch in the bottle as evenly as possible. Once it had cooled, he grabbed all thats required to make a water filter. "Thought my mug would be ruined, but thank stainless steel, heh." Finishing his filter, he puts it over the mug and starts filtering. ^ 3 Hours Later ^ After getting filled with water, he made a shelter, and a bed. It wasn't too bad, as he had his jacket, and 4 days worth of clothes, one of which being sweat pants. He got those on and goes to make a fishing rod. It wasn't to hard making it, he even made a wood hook with his bouie knife. Getting worms as bait was easy as well, 'just dig around and they'll come out...' baits his hook, and starts fishing. After some time, with the sun getting close to the horizon he finally got a bite, but the fish was too strong, and the connection broke. Inspecting the rod he finds the hook broke before he could catch the fish. With a sigh, he goes back to his shelter and digs around his bag for an MRE. "Damn, only 2 more... at least i know the rod works." With the sun setting, he gets to work on the fire again. Gather sticks, light dry leaves and charcoal, and get it started. Remembering to split the wood pile, he gets some, and puts it into the fire. After the fire, the sun had set, and the moon following it was getting brighter. Now being night, he gets a stick, chews it, uses it to brush his teeth along with some water, and throws it away. Getting comfy in his bed and shelter he began to think what led him here, and immediately throwing the thought out. He made sure not to make the fire big, only to ward off predators. 'Yeesh, got lucky no animals killed me against that tree.' and set his alarm on at a later time in the morning. Some time later, he heard a howl from afar, and a bit later, another that was closer. He wasn't afraid of predators getting near his camp, he knew the risks coming here. "If they get close, I have my knife, shovaxe, and the fire itself." some time later he was asleep. The breeze kept the trees shaking, and the fire cracked from time to time, showing no rest within the forest, but the human slept all the same. As the sun rose from the horizon, the human got up with another headache, alarm blaring. Turning the alarm off, once again, he got up and began fishing with a new bait and hook. He was successful this time, with 1, then 2, then 5 fish. They were weaker than the one fish, but he now has food. He got the fire pit roaring in no time, and began to gut fish, remembering from the internet. It took some time, but he now has breakfast, and took his first bite. He thought it 'could be better...' after all, it wasn't seasoned, but he enjoyed the experience. "This is it. What I wanted, and what I left behind... they couldn't 'ave let me be, when I wanted to be alone. Now I'll just... fade." Author's Note Its a start. Also, art is a little hard. I'll be making more. Fade, part 2^ 4 Days Later ^ The human wakes to his new alarm, feeling lighter than usual. After getting tired of the blares, and the times he woke up, he changed his alarm, but it doesn't stop the headache that's appeared. Ever since he slept in the forest the first night, he's been getting headaches, and hasn't improved over time. He's tried relaxing, listening to music, and watching the fish in the river, but none of it worked. This morning, however, was different. Instead of seeing the forest as normal, it looked cartoony. Thinking this was the result of the headache, and the loss of his glasses, he went to do some foraging. While fish could provide food, it couldn't provide all the nutritional needs, and needed another source of food. He found some crabapples, and some variety of berries, but he still needed to test them for poison. He gathered the fruit, a metal water-bottle, putting it in his bag, and rode off on his bike near the river. It was hard to see far in the forest, but he needed a general clearing, one where animals could come very often. After 15 minutes he finds one, but knowing he can't see clearly, he sets the fruits in an organized pile and saves some apples for himself. There were orange colored berries, black colored berries, and supposedly blueberries. He climbs a tree and waits. "Let's see what nature has to answer..." ^ 2 hours later ^ Animals came by, from a brown wolf, to a few birds but none of them went for the food. That is until a deer came by and saw the piles of fruit. It sniffed the orange ones, but quickly got away, went to the black ones and took a few bites of it then ate the whole pile. Before it could get to the blue ones, it fell and convulsed for a minute before throwing up a black liquid. The human jumped from the tree to examine the deer up close, and when he landed the deer saw him and tried getting away. "Hey, easy, I'm not gonna hurt you!" the deer didn't listen and tried to run, but fell, letting out a loud grunt. When the human touched the deer it gave up escape and waited for death... but it never came. Confused, it looked at the human, "Told you I wasn't going to hurt you... want an apple?" he asked, offering the crabapple. It sniffed at it for a moment before eating it, "Yeah, sorry for poisoning you, but im trying to not risk myself." The deer looked at him again, stopping its chewing. "Got some water as well." he offered the water to the deer, but it looked away. "Well, I done all I can... don't eat the orange or black." He said, typing on his phone. "Haven't been this close to a deer before," he said. He took a few pictures of it, and before he knew it, the deer slowly got up and left. Once it had disappeared in the foliage he got on his bike and rode back. He ate a few apples while riding back, and was full when he arived. Bitter as the apples were, it was his breakfast on the bike. 'Big game was there, but there's predators, a lot of meat to drag, and pretty far from camp.' Unsatisfied with the taste, he got a fire going, and set up for his own apple sauce. He got his mug filled with water, cut some apple's in it, cooked it, and mashed it. 'Better than bitter.' he thought while drinking it, leaving some to spare. Satisfied with breakfast he saw a patch of "blueberries" but still unsure of its edibility. Not wanting to wait again, he got a berry and looked at it, 'looks like a blueberry... hmm?' then rubbed some on his skin. When nothing happened, he rubbed some on his lips, and still, nothing happened. He chewed a berry, spit it out, and set a 5 hour timer. With nothing else to do, he put out the fire, and went hiking into the forest with apples and water, a shovaxe, his phone and earbuds, and put his music to shuffle. The first song was short, but when the second song came... It was perfect. Some songs later, he came across a deer. It perked when it heard him, and immediately calmed down when it saw him. "You the same deer? heh, lookin' good." and he threw an apple to it. Thinking this was a good place to turn back, he walked back. Ariving after 2 hours of hiking and lesser apples, he arived at camp. Taking his earbuds off he went for some apple sauce, but heard a snap. Turning he saw the deer had followed him back. "Uh...?" The deer sniffed the place around and went to the human, sniffing the mug. The human drank some, and gave the rest to the deer. "Why d'you follow me...? You know I can eat you, right?" the deer looked at him, but didn't back down. He ignored the deer, sat to fish and listened to music, with his slight headache. An hour had passed, and he caught a few fish, 'How's my panel and bank doin'...?' he looked to where it is and saw the deer inspecting it. "Don't get too close!" he warned. The deer backed away, and went to get some water from the river. When he turned to the deer again it was looking into the forest, unmoving. Without thinking, he grabbed his shovaxe and adjusted it to be a pickaxe, but when he turned to the deer, it was gone. He put away his earbuds, and paused the music... watching... listening. When nothing happened for some time, he slowly turned away, thats when he heard shuffling, and reacted, swinging the pick to his target. It connected, and he heard a whine. "Wolves..." he identified, and turned to swim in the river, but didn't notice another wolf sneaking on his left side, and the wolf pounced. He fell to the ground and immediately put his left arm up for the animals jaws. The second wolf bit his arm, "ARG!" and he shoved it to the side. With the smelly wolf on the ground, pinned between his legs, and now bloody arm, he rears his right to use his shovaxe, but was knocked off by the first wolf. He quickly got up, river to his back, and saw the situation. "A third one...?" he said annoyingly. There were 3 brown wolves, 2 on his right, 1 on his left. He stared down at them, and they stared back, growling. He swore that the eyes were glowing, but that didn't matter. He took a hard step forward and growled back. The wolves, not expecting this, steped back, and began circling him. "I'm blind, wounded, and it's 3 against 1. Come on!" and the human charged at the middle wolf. the wolf widened its eye's, and before it could move, he striked it, and it collapsed to its side. "What the—?" but before he could think, a wolf pounced on him, bitting his shoulder. "Fucking—!" he jumped to land on his back, wolf still hanging from it, and when he landed, it hurt. "Unf!" he got up to finish it, tool raised, but saw a pile of wood. He saw the third in his peripheral, and swung at it instead, and when it connected, that's when he saw it. The "wolf" bursted into wood instantly, and left the human to many questions. "What the fuck is going on!?" he yelled, first question asked, but winced when he felt his wounds. he walked to his backpack, grabbing a small bottle of alcohol spray, and put it on his wounds. He went to get a roll of bandages, but saw a glint nearby. "Oh shit, my glasses!" he wiped 'em and put them on, seeing the world... but not his world. Everywhere he looked, it was a cartoon. The trees, his bag, 'what about—?' and himself. He looked at himself through his phone, and he looked cartoony as well. "No, no, no, no no no nononono..." he had a feeling he knew where he was at, but had to confirm it. Getting up to look at the wood piles, he waited. That's when it formed, wood glowing green, floating back to its original shape, and stinking the place. He readied his pick, when they all fully formed. Raising his pick high, spreading his jacket, looking big, he roared to the timberwolves, "RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGH!!" The timberwolves, not wanting to burst again, ran off whining. When they were gone, the human went back to cover up his wounds. Spraying the alcohol again, he wrapped up his arm and shoulder. Out of breath, and headache rising, he called in early, walking to his shelter. "First thing in the morning, I'm packing up everything, dismantling what I made, and exploring this forest." Getting in his bed, he got as comfortable as he could, and went to sleep. The last thing he thought, was... 'Shit, I'm in Equestria.' Sighting My name is Button Mash, and I was hanging with my friend Rumble. It was another day in ponyville, and we were in the game place, going to the arcades to play the new trail punchers game. He was mad for beating him a lot, but he still plays to try and beat me. After that we see somepony strange. they were wearing a brown cloak like the cohorts of hungolia. They were just walking around looking at stuff. I decided to spy, and get to there lair and get there treasure. Rumble didn't want to but he went with me. we followed it untill we were hungry. after that we went home. It was a cool day. "That was a great story Button. I liked where you became a spy, but you shouldn't follow ponies like that. Now is there anypony else that wants to share what happened this weakend?" Ms Cheerilee asked with a smile. A colt raised their hoof. "Yes, Pipsqueak. What did you do this weekend?" Pipsqueak bites his paper and trades places with Button Mash. "This is how my weekend went. It all started when—" Button sat back into his seat next to Rumble. "Why didn't you tell them we went into the forest?" Rumble asked quietly. "I don't want to get us in trouble. My Mom would ground me forever if she found out." Button whispered back. "You still need to tell me what happened in there. I almost called for help when you didn't come out." Rumble said, worried. "It was sooo coool. It was—" "Is there something you would like to share with the class, Button?" Ms Cheerilee asked with an inquisitive look on her face. "Uh, no..." Button said, embarrassed. The whole classroom giggled at Button, and the situation. "Sorry Pipsqueak. Now you said you got ice cream with your dad?" Ms Cheerilee asked with a smile, trying to keep the class focused. "I'll tell you later." Button whispered quickly. Rumble couldn't help but be curious about what happened in the Everfree Forest. ^ Yesterday ^ "Oooh , you got lucky that day, today's the day I'm gonna beat you." My friend Rumble was still mad about beating him at Saddleback Fighters, and I'm not gonna lose my winning streak. "In your dreams Rumble. You didn't even come close to a knockout, and I had a few flawless victories." He didn't have the skill to beat me, not when I have hours of gaming, though I did feel bad for not letting him win, I did have an idea to make him feel better. "I was close though. You were down to 6 HP 'till you used that special move, but I have an idea to beat you now." Though I did go easy on him one time to give him a chance, his new strategy might not work. But I wasn't here for that, but for a new game. Theres a new arcade game called Trail Punchers, and its a co-op game where we have to save some princesses. "We're not gonna play Saddleback, we're gonna play Trail Punchers." I was sooo excited. What was the arcade game gonna look like? How many players can be in it? What's the— "Are you scared your gonna lose to me?" He asked looking all annoyingly proudly. still doesn't mean he'll beat me. "Nah, my winning streak will hold, but this is a co-op game, one where we fight bad guys, and save princesses." I'm so glad I saved a lot of bits for this day. "Oooh, okay, but after that I wanna try and beat you at Saddleback." He'll learn how unbeatable I am, but for now— "Whoa..." The arcade game looked cool. There was 4 of 'em, 2 facing back-to-back, all different colors, but the same title. "What do you think this game is about?" asked Rumble, getting my head out of the clouds. "I don't know, but I can't wait to find out!" I went for the orange one, and Rumble went for the blue one. I inserted 2 bits for each of our game, and we started playing. ^ 30 Minutes Later ^ "I can't believe we can't beat that wood monster! " Rumble was grumpy, and excited at the same time (and was also surprised that I couldn't beat it). We were walking through the shops to go to the park, thinking of strategies to beat him in that forest. "You know what the worst part is?" "What?" "We have to start from the beginning." "Uuugh!" There was a code to save the game, but once we got knocked out, and 20 less bits, but we didn't have a paper and pencil, and the code was sooo long, we can't even remember it, and the code would only last for 2 days. "Just imagine what the evil wizard would be like. That wizard single hoofedly took out the royal guards and took the power stone." That pony was terrifying when it came to power. "Yeesh, I wonder if we can ever beat him with what our characters are like." Rumble was still angry, but I knew that if we want to beat that wood monster, we need to work together. "Yeah, but we'll beat that wood monster, and anything else that gets in our way!" I said proudly, but Rumble was looking at something else, all confused. "What is it?" I looked where he was looking, and saw somepony... interesting. "Is that Zecora?" My friend asked. "I don't know. That cloak looks like Zecora's, but it's walking weird and slowly, and... is it wearing 2 cloaks?" Yeah it was, the other was black underneath, and was looking around. It looked like one of the Cohorts of Hungolia. "I'm gonna ask where it got its cloak. Hey you!" they looked in our direction, "Where did you get that cloak!?" but it turned, walking away. Before I could lose them in the crowd, I followed it making sure it didn't see me. "Button, where are you going?" Rumble asked. "I'm gonna get that cloak back, I think they stole from Zecora." This could also be a start of an adventure, like Sweetie Bell's friends. "And it's not gonna get away with it." ^ Some Time Later ^ Rumble decided to go with me, and we followed it untill they walked into the Everfree Forest. We were hiding behind the trees at the edge of the forest, and they were still walking. I was going in the forest until Rumble stopped me by my tail. "Okay, I get that you want to return the cloak back, but this is getting dangerous, my brother said to never go in there." "It'll be fine Rumble, besides, what's the worst that could happen?" And I walked into the forest. "I don't know Button, this seems like a bad idea." Rumble said, following me. ^ 5 Minutes Later ^ "Where did you go? They were just here, it's like they disappeared." We followed its weird hoofsteps, and in between them was getting longer and longer, until we couldn't find it anymore. "You know, being in this forest reminds me of Pinkie's old song." Rumble said. I remembered Sweetie's friend, (Applebloom?), went into the forest, and she became friends with Zecora. "Yeah, everypony was afraid of Zecora, who knew she was nice all along." SNAP! "What was that?!" Rumble whispered. "I don't know!" I whispered back. That's when I smelled it. It emerged from the bushes, and we were scared when we saw it. I wanted to run, but my legs couldn't move, and with Rumble beside me... "Rumble, I'm gonna distract it and if I don't come out of the forest, call for help." "Button waii—!" "OVER HERE YOU PIECE OF GARBAGE!" And I ran deeper into the forest. It howled behind me and when I looked back, I wish I hadn't. Rumble wasn't there anymore, but the timberwolf was. I never, in my life, ran so fast. I was so scared, what happened to Rumble, was it still chasing me, am I having a nightmare? Everything around me was so blurry I couldn't see anything for a minute, and that's when I fell. When I did, I hit a tree with my head, and I felt dizzy for a little bit. I shook it off,and backed up against the tree feeling the bark on my back. This was real, and the timberwolf was looking at me from the small cliff. It looked at me with those glowing green eyes, and I couldn't help but cry. "WAAAH, MOM!" The timberwolf was slowly walking closer, and closer to me, and I closed my eye's, crying. "Goodbye Rumble, Mom, Sweetie Bell. (Sniff!)" CRASH! And everything was silent... I opened my eye's and saw the cloaked... thing... and underneath it was a pile of wood. It was breathing hard, and after a minute, it got off the wood pile. The wood began to float. 'What is it doing?!' the wood turned into a timberwolf in no time, but before I could run away, the thing stomped its foot close to the timberwolf, shaking the ground a little, and roared at it. "RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGH!!!" It was the most scariest roar in my life. The timberwolf ran into the forest, whining, and I was left with something much scarier than the timberwolf. This 10 foot beast was strong enough to beat a timberwolf to a pile of sticks, shake the ground with just a stomp, and make a terrifying sound that could be heard for miles. It turned to look at me, I couldn't see its face underneath the cloak it was wearing, but i knew it was looking at me. I was so scared, I couldn't move, breathe, or blink. "Hey, you okay?" 'THE BEAST CAN TALK?!' "…" "Hello?" "…uh?" "Oh good, you're not dead. What's your name?" "Uh, Button. Who are you?" "Doesn't matter. Do you know your way back home?" I looked around, and only saw trees around. "I'm… lost…" "I see… well come on, I'll show you the way." It started walking off, an stopped when it looked at me."Well?" "I'm… I'm not going with you." Even if it saved me from that timberwolf, I was still scared of the thing that was talking. "Hmm… Okay, good luck finding your way back." and walked away again. I thought about what it said, and they're right, I'm not gonna find my way out, not in this forest. "Wait!" It stopped right there, facing away. "Um, sorry. I da— I do need help." "Alright. Come here then." I tried walking, but I felt dizzy and fell. It turned to look at me, "What happened?" I shook the dizziness off. "I was with my friend, when that timberwolf came. I distracted it so my friend can escape." "Mhm, where's your friend now?" "He escaped to Ponyville." "Mhm, I see… and why did you go in the forest?" I didn't want to answer, "Button?" but it looks like I had to. "I—Uh, we were following you. That cloak wasn't yours, and I wanted to give it back to Zecora, but we couldn't find you. I bummed my head when I tripped over a cliff and to the tree." "Ouch, well then…" It walked to me and picked me up with its weird claws. "Heh, you're like a small puppy." "Hey, I'm not a puppy!" It laughed. "Sure, now let's get you home." And it started walking. I never been carried like this before, and I can see everything with how high I was. I had so many questions, and it was a cool… thing. "What are you?" "Oh, I'm called a human." "And are you a colt or a filly?" "Uhh? Oh, I'm a guy, or stallion you would call." "So a colt like me?" "Yes." "Why do you have Zecora's cloak? "Okay, as much as you want to play 20 questions, your friend's prolly worried 'bout you." "How long until we get to Ponyville? "You want the slow way, or fast way?" I was so confused with that question. "Fast?" "Fast it is." and the human started running, and holded me more tight. "WOAH!" When I was running I thought I was fast, but he's way faster, maybe even faster than Rainbow Dash. It only took a minute, but we made it. "Well, we're here, the edge of the forest, (Huff)." "Button Mash!" I heard my friend calling me, and he wasn't far. "And seems like your friend's looking for you, (Haa), least he's alright, (Sigh)." He put me down and breathed hard, like in the forest, 'Is that how fast he was running?' "Well, go home, and forget what's happened today... Actually go to the doctor first, don't know how hard you hit your head, you probably have a concussion." And he started walking in the forest. "Wait!" he stopped, looking at me. "Thank you, Mr Beast, I don't know what I would do if you hadn't come." "Just don't follow me, and forget about this day... and dont call me MrBeast, that name has already been taken." Now I really wanted to know his name. "What's your name? I'll call you Mr Beast, until you say your name." It looked at me for a little bit, and let out a breath. "(Sigh). Hmm... Ah! Call me Aiden, Aiden Peirce." "Button! Where are you?!" "Now get out of here." and he ran into the forest. I wanted to chase him. "Button!" but my friend was calling me. "Rumble!" I was running to where he was calling, and when I saw him, he saw me and tackled me. "Button! Thank Celestia your alright! Are you hurt?! What happened?!" My friend was breathing fast when he was asking. "Rumble, calm down. I'm alright, I just hit my head. I think I need to go to the doctor." I think I felt a bump when Aiden was holding me. "What happened in there?" "I'll tell you later, but I have a headache right now." Before we started walking, I heard a growl. I looked where the forest was, but when I heard it again it came from Rumble. He looked away, but my stomach growled too, and when he noticed, we were laughing. "Come on Rumble, let's get something to eat. I still have some bits in my hat." After all that running, I didn't see how hungry I was, and Rumble didn't either. "Yeah, let's go get some Hay fries!" It was the coolest day, ever. Text “……” “………” “…………” “……………” “………………” "(Gasp! Huff… Huff…!)" “……” “……” “……” “……” “……” "(Sigh…)" “……” “……” “……” “……” “……” "ZZZzzz…" “……” “………” “…………” “……………” “………………” Before Entry 1: I woke up expecting everything from before to be a dream, but nope I wasn't dreaming. I'm still in Equestria. But knowing where I was, was a good thing. I'm in the Everfree Forest right now, and usually people in these fics would go to the ruined castle of the sister's. Would this be considered fiction anymore, or any of the other fics? Eh, whatever, best not to think about it. I'm typing this so I don't go more insane than I already am. Everyone on my earth is already insane in some way. But right now, it's night time, and I spent most of the day taking down my shelter, firepit, and packing all of my things for this bike. I also spent most of the day sleeping until 2 PM, yeah I'm a heavy sleeper. I'm biking during the night because 1, timberwolves, 2, ponies, aaand this doesn't make sense. Let's start over. The timberwolves, while afraid of fire, aren't afraid of me, and will attack if the fire went out. Traveling at night will ensure the timberwolves will just stalk me until I make a fire, or, what happened during my fishing in that day, stay still while looking away. And then theres the ponies. I don't know if I'm in a world of dark, or a normal world, but either way, I don't want to be in this. Yeah, someone who knows about this world, doesn't want to be in it… whatever. Once I drank all my water, I'll use my filter, make a new fire, and get hydrated. I'll be typing this at the start of night, and see how things go. See me L8ER. Entry 2 Well, day 2. Man I am not used to this. Anyway, I biked, and I couldn't find any ruins. Now, if I were an outsider, you'd be asking,"Why the ruins?" and it's because it's ruined that no one goes there, and I could do anything I want with it. Noo Joker don't do it! I'm gonna do it Batman! Heh a little sidetracked there. As I was saying, once I find the ruins, I can mess with it as much as I want, and if someone comes to visit, everything is already a mess, so they wouldn't look twice. Another thing that I couldn't find was a way out, and I was biking for a while, though it's hard to see, even with the big moonlight. I should try a different direction… hang on. … … … Timberwolves. At least there easy to scare. Just yell, and they'll go away. Hopefully they don't get brave, it would be inconvenient. See ya. Entry 3 No ruins Goddammit, but I did find a very muddy swamp. Though it would be a little hard to walk in, even if my boots are water resistant. But with this swamp in my mind I'll be going a different direction, but not where I came from. I basically just turn 90° for a different direction, and this'll be my second. I also decided to make these into paragraphs cause looking at what I wrote, or typed, before looks ugly. Maybe make it look like a story to look back to, even if it is on my phone. What this world will bring me, idk, but I'Il think of something. Now, time to turn right, and see some ruins. k bye. Entry 3.5 Well...I found Ponyville. I don't want to go in, but..this won't happen every night, so imma go in. Entry 4 I read my last entry and forget to say what happened. I'm a proud member of Ponyville! Ha! No. I just looked around, and went in quietly. Had to leave my stuff in the forest for a while, like my bag & bike. Used my hood, and stayed in the dark, but really, there was nothing to see. Actually there was the castle, and I flipped it off. lol, it really looks like a middle finger 🖕. Even got it to fit my hand in it at a distance. After that, i just went in the forest till I slept, though it's hard when you're hungry. I got up made a new fishing rod, and ate. Should find some crabapples to take. I know I have 2 MRE's, but I like to save. Biking in a forest, do do dew. Entry 4.5 I found Zecora's hut, or house thing, almost tripped on a fallen mask near it… man, biking is hard at night. I thought the sound of the mask breaking would warn her, and go outside, but it was silent. And when i looked inside it was pitch black. I went and made noise with my metal cup far away to be unseen, and still, nothing happened. I took a risk to go inside with my lighter, looked around, and no one was home. There were even some webs and dust. normally I don't pay attention to that. But i started a fire underneath the cauldron for light. heck of a surprise when a green glow came from the cauldron. With that, I looked around. Potions… everywhere… And a bed. I'm gonna sleep in it even if it means I'll get caught in the morning. been sleeping in dug up dirt and covering myself. I'll find the ruins tomorrow. Entry 5 Well I found the ruins, and god it was awful to look at. Some crystal tree was growing, and I ain't going near that. Oh, before I forget, I got up at 12 pm, and no screams of "intruder!" so that was good. I left the ruins and went to spy on Ponyville late in the day. it was about 4, i think. Anyways, seeing how small they are, I doubt it would be easy to be in disguise, they look like they come up to my waist. But when I was spying on Ponyville, I got to thinking of a plan. There was a human world… not mine, but better than nothing. It's only accessible through a mirror portal. I remember the mirror being in the Crystal Empire, and that's all i need. though getting there is a different story entirely. I'm gonna make base here in the hut looks abandoned for some reason, don't know y. … Oh hello brown coat. Entry 6 Shit… I have to get out of here, I've been seen. Can't stay in this hut 'cause a kid knows about Zecora, he might try and see me again. Have to leave this cloak here. I'm not too worried about me getting hunted down, only 1 kid knows. Even if he tells something about me, he's just a kid, no one would believe him. Gonna miss that bed. Entry 7 Well, I'm back where I started… next to a river. I fished, biked & crashed, and fished again. fed some chickens too. I should have just stayed here next to the river in the first place. It's not like the shelter was uncomfortable, or the place was bad, just wanted a bigger place. Entry 8 I don't think I want to type anymore. Too much time wasted, and I think I'm just gonna focus on what needs to be done. Funny, I originally did this for my sanity, but I don't like to write, and this is pointless. So, last entry. Goodbye. Messenger BirdAs the king steps onto the balcony, he looks into the night, over his subjects, his kingdom, and his forest. On the outside, he usually has a content face with his territory, but inside he feels a great pride over his kingdom. In this breathtaking view of the Everfree Forest, all the different sounds of nature can be heard. The chirping of crickets, the sway of the leaves in the trees, and the occasional hoots of an owl. This usually calmed the king, knowing that everything, all that is natural, is right. Although recently within the past few days, he looked serious, as if he were facing an enemy, because in the view, he hears more noise than usual. While the howls of timberwolves comes and goes, recently they've occur more frequently than normal. Not only howls of the timberwolves, but also an unnatural scream that goes with it. It frightens many of his subjects and the creatures of the forest, and they all worry that the timberwolves would come and attack. As if that was not enough, there's the rumored monster of the forest. He's been informed by a little bird, reporting an unusual, tall, bulky, bipedal creature from unknown origins. It sounded like a minotaur, a creature that had been a conundrum in the past, but the information from the bird said otherwise. This creature didn't have huge horns, or any hooves, but had unusual legs, and dressed all over. The information also said that it rides on mechanical wheels that can go on any terrain, while also carrying a large bag on its back. This didn't sound like any minotaur he's heard of, as they usually stay home in their mazes. He always knows what comes and goes in his forest, but there were no signs of anycreature going into his forest recently. This creature was the origin of the screams, and while it's strange screams frighten the timberwolves away from itself, it has the potential to threaten the way of life for everycritter. It could lead the timberwolves into the kingdom and other creatures territory, and hurt many, deer and critters alike. Some critters and deer may have overheard the situation, and talked about it in their friend group, possibly spreading the rumor over the kingdom like a dangerous wildfire. Thankfully, he has managed to calm everydeer down in the kingdom of Thicket, but it won't release the fear it has caused. He announced that a day ago he sent Blackthorn, his strongest deer of the guard, to find and negotiate with this rumored "monster of the forest". While he was awaiting his return, the king went back inside his chambers, and on a desk, writes a letter to the new princess of Equestria. Dear Princess Twilight Sparkle, I first want to congratulate you on your ascension to Ruler of Equestria, and to apologize for not attending your coronation. I hope this won't make you think less of us, as you would know, not all rulers can make time for themselves. But due to circumstances unknown, the forest has been becoming more dangerous, and I would like your help. There is a creature in my forest that has been inflicting fear into my subjects. I have sent Blackthorn, the strongest deer guard, to find and negotiate with them, and possibly be given a summons, to question its intentions. If this creature decides to come before us, I need some advice on how I could befriend them, and if you could personally meet— (Bang!) "Your Highness!" a guard shouted, barging through the entrance. The king jumped at that, and with a frown, turned to ask the guard to knock next time, but the guard spoke before he could open his mouth. "Blackthorn has returned!" the guard said. With eye's wide with surprise, he quickly regained his composure, focused on the breathless guard, and gave a command. "Send him to the throne. I'll be there shortly." Blackthorn, who was now before the king, bowed to him. "Rise, Blackthorn. What happened to the creature? More importantly, what happened to you?" the king asked with mild concern. "I'm sorry if I look a little dirty, but I had to run away." Blackthorn said. He normally has a clean coat, along with a polished wood keg on his chest, but now has bits of twigs and leaves in his antlers, and mud all over his hooves. "Run away from what exactly?" the king asked. "From the creature… no, monster of the forest." The king was surprised at that, but asked him to elaborate, and with a nod, Blackthorn continued. But what he would receive from Blackthorn, wasn't what he had expected. The first thing I did when I got out of Thicket, I asked Calvin the bird to show me where he'd last seen the creature, knowing I could track them down easily. Even easier with a dirt line besides the prints. When I arrived at the last place Calvin saw the creature, I started looking around for tracks. As I was searching, I found a dirt spot that was softer than normal, like a garden bed, along with a lot of dead leaves and branches around the area. A little ways away, there was charcoal, like ones you see after lightning strikes a tree, but burns out before it could spread. It looked to be an abandoned campfire if the surrounding rocks had anything to go by. After investigating the area, it was easy finding the weird hoofsteps. It was bigger than our hooves, but smaller than a manticore paw, and looked like a collection of smaller mishapened triangles and rectangles in the shape of a weird oval. Also, based on how deep the print went into the ground, it was pretty heavy too, as well as the line trail. Finding the prints was easy, following them was easier with how close together they were, along with the line besides it, but getting to them, I underestimated how difficult tracking them would be. I trotted and trotted, but either they knew that I was trying to find them or that this creature could travel a long distance, it was nowhere to be found. Sometimes it was just a line, sometimes both, and rarely just the prints, as they were around the thick flora, seeming like they don't care about the surrounding terrain, going straight through it. If tracking them was not going to work, then maybe a different perspective would. "Calvin, can you come down here!? Calvin!?" A minute later, he flew onto my antlers and gave me a questioning look from his upside down view. "I need you to go above the trees, and fly towards the direction of the prints. See if you can spot the creature." he gave me a salute and flew above the green trees. I continued to search for them, but it's been a while since Calvin flew away, and hours since we started tracking. I was getting tired with all the trotting that I did, and I knew we couldn't find them that day, so I used my potion to make a simple vine shelter, and went to sleep. A few hours later, Calvin came back tweeting in my ear to wake me from my short sleep. He does this every morning, and this nap wasn't anything different. "Ugh, 5 more minutes…" but I remembered I sent Calvin to look for the creature and woke up immediately, "Wait, did you find them?" but he just flew a short distance and flew in place waiting for me. I tried trotting closer, but he just flew away, and I realized from my tired mind he found them. I ran deeper into the forest, ignoring any berry bush my way, not wanting to stop when I was so close. It was late in the afternoon when following Calvin, and I was fully awake after a few minutes. Soon enough, I saw where they were, and about 50 feet away, was the creature. They were traveling near the river, downstream, and away from Thicket, and was pushing the mechanical wheels beside them. Now the report said it covers themselves in clothing, but not how much. It's basically covered from top to bottom with clothes, as if it was wearing full body armor. I will admit, I hesitated a little bit, but just as I was starting to trot up to them, howls can be heard everywhere, even on the opposite side of the river. This ambush was planned, and I wanted to help, but… "Come Out You Piles Of Shit!" What it said silence everything for a few seconds before it started again, with some barks coming closer. All of this tells me I shouldn't interfere, so I decided to hide in the meantime. I watched as the creature shook its head, as if annoyed by the timberwolves, and dropped its back saddlebag while setting the wheels aside a tree, then got its large cloak off, and hung it on the tree. They were thin, thinner than what Calvin had saw, and I could tell it was the thick cloak was mistaken for their size. The creature took some stuff it had and placed it inside the bag, and took out what looked like an over bent shovel. It twisted something on the broken shovel, and before my eyes, it turned into a pickaxe shovel hybrid. It also got a small black thing from their saddlebag, only realizing it was a container after it opened it and took something smaller from it. They stuck 2 smaller, what I would describe as beads, to the side of the head, and stayed on somehow. After that, they took a black crystal out, and seeing that it glowed purple for a moment, I knew it was dark magic. They put both crystal and container in a small slit of their clothes leg, and walked to a nearby clearing, with the hybrid tool on them. They got that crystal out again, and a few seconds later, a faint harsh rhythm came from its head. They winced for a moment but after messing with the clothes leg where it stored stuff, they looked relieved. They then walked in a clearing by the river, and stopped at the center of it, just standing there facing the trees. I laid as still as possible, not knowing how they would react to seeing me if they were hostile. A minute later, a pack of timberwolves emerged from the trees and bushes, snapping at the one creature. One even came out beside me and looked back at me, only to continue towards the creature. 'Whatever did they do to make the timberwolves this mad?' The creature then took a wide stance when they saw the pack, and held its forelegs out, with one up high, holding that hybrid tool in its paw. It was trying to scare the pack by making itself look big, and while it slowed the pack, they didn't stop for a second. Only when the pack stopped about 10 feet from them did everything go silent, where all you could hear was a small breeze, and the river. While I had seen and fought my fair share of duels in the barracks, nothing could compare with what I witnessed. In less than a second the lead timberwolf pounced on their right, but while the jump was fast, their swing was faster, like trying to follow a blur of an arrow. It swung with it's whole body, legs bent, body down and straight, powerful enough to beat that timberwolf in one hit. It scattered onto some of the other timberwolves, and the creature took that moment to take a lond stride forward to stomp on another timberwolf, defeating it, and causing another to back away from the blindness. The timberwolves that weren't in the crossfire of the first ones branches, very few went after the creature a second later. The creature kicked a pouncing one far out of the way, but didn't see the other behind. They fell, and the others noticed, taking the opportunity to finish it off. I couldn't see what the timberwolf on top was doing, but as soon as the others were a couple seconds away from devouring them, they pushed aside the one on top, tripping another on one side, quickly defeating a timberwolf on the other side. Before more could get on top, the creature rolled to the side and hopped out of the way. It was back on its hooves, but the timberwolves didn't stop, and clawed on the creature, trying to bring them down. "Get Off!" The creature lifted one of the timberwolves, and started swinging them onto the others, making quick work of them. "Kill! Them! All!" The creature then threw the timberwolf in the bushes near me, making it yelp and run away, and all others that had the time to reanimate soon started following. Now with the fight over, they stood there breathing, as heavy as it was, and a minute later they grabbed the hybrid tool they dropped during the scuffle, and turned it back to the way it was. After that, they lifted their clothing, somewhat undamaged, and looked at the scratches. Oh, it was bad, and there was a bit of blood. "Ouch… " they said. Ouch? Ouch!? It was clawed by a pack of timberwolves, now bleeding, and all it had to say was, ouch?! This thing was a monster, capable of fighting off a pack, maybe even a manticore, possibly more. Shaking myself out of my thoughts, I noticed it was wrapping itself with a bandage roll, but it looked… elastic? Aside from that they wore it's thick clothing and sat down against the tree, then took off the beads from its head seconds later. I had enough information, and slowly but quietly, backed up to go home. In hindsight I should have looked where I was going. SNAP! I had stepped on a branch causing it to snap its head at me. I froze, looking at the monster, while it was looking back at my hiding spot. It got up a minute later and slowly walked where I was hiding. I could fight it, but I would need an army to have a chance of beating it. Fortunately, fate was on my side, and timberwolf howls were heard by the thing, and it looked away for a moment. That's when I ran as fast, and far away from it as possible, traveling to Thicket. When Blackthorn finished his report about the creature, a question came to the kings mind. "How do you feel about the situation between this, monster, and the forest?" With a nod, Blackthorn responded. "The circumstances have not changed, and the monster is still a threat to everycritter, and now with the timberwolves added, I would say with predators as well." The king lifted a hoof and said, "I understand. Before you go, how soon do you think we should handle this creature?" "Preferably as soon as possible, and I think we should act, before any more problems arise." said Blackthorn. The king thought on this. "Thank you for your report and opinion, I will see what we can do. You are dismissed." With a wave of a hoof, he watched as Blackthorn was leaving the room, but not before a guard near the door stopped him to ask a question. "I get how you got the extra antlers, but what about the mud all over your hooves?" A barely coherent mumble came out of Blackthorn. "I tripped into a mud puddle halfway coming here." The guard sputtered once, holding in his laughter, and with that bit of embarrassment, Blackthorn left. The king smiled, its good to have morale high at the worst of times. High spirits are essential for his subjects, and with running a kingdom… over 1000 years of experience speaks for itself. With the throne room empty, he announced that he will be in his chambers to plan on what to do next, but first... Dear Princess Twilight Sparkle, I first want to congratulate you on your ascension to Ruler of Equestria, and to apologize for not attending your coronation. I hope this won't make you think less of us, as you would know, not all rulers can make time for themselves. But due to circumstances unknown, the forest has been becoming more dangerous,.~~and I would like your help~~. There is a creature in my forest that has been inflicting fear into my subjects. I have sent Blackthorn, the strongest deer guard, to find and negotiate with them, and possibly be given a summons, to question its intentions. ~~If this creature decides to come before us, I need some advice on how I could befriend them, and if you could personally meet~~ But with the return of Blackthorn and his report on them, I need to warn you about the creature, and the situation that is going on here. This creature, while it looks scrawny, is fast and strong, and wears an abnormal amount of clothing that makes it look bigger than what it seems to be. It's also around the height of a minotaur, just without hooves on it, but has no similarities on other animals of what it could be. It's as sentient as any creature, but the mention of its killing and violence makes it dangerous, and I urge you to inform anycreature going into the forest to stay out, as we take care of the problem. I will send you a report if there are any more upcomings, regarding the Everfree. ~Sincerely, The Heart of the Forest With the letter done he went to find somedeer that could send it with their bird. Soon enough he finds a familiar doe. "Ah, Miss Holly, you always seem to show up at the right time. Do you mind having your bird send a message? More specifically to Canterlot Castle for Twilight Sparkle?" "Yes your Majesty, right away. My bird is the fastest of the forest, and she will get it by the morrow." Holly said. "Good, thank you Holly. It gives me great comfort to have my subjects safe." The king said with a smile. "The honors all mine, King Aspen." ProteinA week ago, Fluttershy left a message for her animal friends to look over the cottage while she was away. Something about helping Twilight with exploring. But while she was gone, she left me in charge of taking care of the cottage, and her animal friends. I may be small, but that doesn't make me less than capable of doing things. I wanted to go with her, but she explained that Dr Fauna would be at the sanctuary, and nopony else would be there to take care of the cottage. Well, except for her brother, but he doesn't count. It was up to me to make sure everything goes right. She even made a list of things to take care of. I've known her since the day we met, and she may be quiet, but she works hard. She has her animal sanctuary that she, and Dr Fauna, works in, and they work to care for every animal in there... even a timberwolf, (timberpup), one time... blegh. With everything in the list done for the day, I hop on my favorite place on the couch to rest, and with carrots to snack on. Jeez, it's been crazy this past week, with all the animals asking to stay in the cottage these past couple of days and trying to keep the cottage clean. I asked about what's happening, but everyone says they hear a monstrous, unnatural roar in the Everfree. I thought it might be Harry, but he said it isn't him. Everyone is scared of it, and most of the animals come to hide under Fluttershy's bed, while these roars happen. Not only roars, but howls of timberwolves, angry, or frightened, and whatever is scaring the timberwolves is more dangerous than them. Just when I was about to eat my carrots, a loud roar and some howls echoed through the trees of the forest. I jumped, and although I've heard it a dozen times, it still scares me. It also meant her animal friends were coming to hide in the cottage. I hopped off the couch, heading towards the door, and braced myself for what's coming. Just as I open it, all the animals came stampeding in the cottage, and almost ran me over. "Watch where you're going, guy's!" I said, even if they can't understand me. When all the dust settled, I counted all animals thats been hiding for these past few days. 3 birds, 2 beaver's, 4 mice, 4 chipmunks, 2 raccoon's, 2 squirrel's, a ferret, 2 badger's, 3 snakes, a weasel, Harry, and 3 rabbits, counting 28 of us, (including me) . Now, I can't really speak, but I have made some paw signals for these past few days to say what to do in this situation. I told Harry to close and lock all windows and front door, signaled the squirrel's and chipmunks to close all curtains, have the bird's peek out the window and chirp for intruders, having the beaver's barricade the front door, and the rest to forage all food underneath the bed. Talking in the animal support group has really payed off. With everything finished, and a bit of cleaning, we all hide under the bed, waiting for the roars to stop, but they didn't stop. It kept getting closer. I peeked from under the blanket thumping my leg to get the birds attention, trying to ask what's going on, and after a few seconds they get it, but they just shrug, and turned back to peek outside. After 10 minutes passed with no roar coming, I decide to get out from the bed and join the birds in watching. I heard nothing outside for a while, and it was starting to get to me. It was unnatural for everything to be so quiet, not a peep coming from nature. Then a timberwolf came out of the forest after 5 minutes, and it looked tired, trying to take deep breaths with a fish in its mouth. After a minute of resting, it then looked at the chicken coop and started sniffing around. Knowing it would hunt the chickens, I signaled Harry that the roars were gone, and to come out to protect Fluttershy's— "GET BACK HERE YOU FUCK!" and Harry went back to hiding. I was shocked when I heard it, and watched as a creature... no... monster, came out of the forest. It was on 2 wheels, that was connected with some sticks of metal, coming out of the forest with great and silent speed towards the frightened timberwolf. The monster itself was big, and looked black on the upper body, but blue on what I assume to be leg's, ending with brown on its hind paws. With great speed, they crashed into the timberwolf, with parts of it flying all over the place, and the monster itself went flying too. "Shit—!" CRASH! It was like watching everything in slow motion. The monster went over the front wheel and it flew flat into the fence of the coop, bending it like a big bubble. The metal thing with wheels slid across the ground, and when it stopped, the monster fell on it with its upper body. "Oof! (Gasp! Cough cough!) oh.. (Groan)" ... what... just happened? The chickens started clucking all over the place, and some got out the coop, but went back inside when they saw the monster. "(More groaning)" This is what all the animals were afraid of? They started to move, but rolled slowly on its... back? It then did something strange... it was unzipping... itself... and underneath the thick black coat, was a thin white coat. It covered its whole body except for its front claws and head. They also took off its weird black claws, a black scarf(?), that was hanging off its neck now, and a black hat, and I can see there's more underneath, what I now know is clothing. Hairless, but hair on top of its head. It was brown with black hair, and small, black, sunglasses were on its face. This monster sure loves black clothes. they were still lying on the thick jacket, and I told Harry to come and look. One by one all the animals came up to the window to see this monster. The monster then dug something out of its jacket. A bottle with some clear liquid, and a rolled up bandage. I turned to see all the animals were talking to each other, and asking so many questions. "It's huge!" "What is that thing?" "Is that the monster?" "It's bleeding!" I stopped to look back at it with that statement. The monster was now sitting up, like how harry sits in a picnic, and sure enough, it was bleeding on its left claw, but not a lot. It took the bottle with its other claw and it sprayed it on its wound. "(Hiss), Urg—! Arg—! (Haa)!" They did the same thing with its leg, took off its left horseshoe and did it again. It took a small thing out of its lower clothes and flicked it. It was a knife. All the animals started chattering loud, but when the monster looked in our direction, we all stayed quiet. The monster looked our way for a few moments, but turned away to cut the bandage, and everyone sighed in relief. They cut enough to tie all its injuries, and moved every part of its body. It looked satisfied, put the bandage and spray away, and got up on its hind legs to get their wheels. The monster stood the wheels up, and used its leg to move a stand on the wheels. It straitend something that looked like handles, which was connected to the wheel, then nodded their head. The monster now looked where the timberwolf dropped the fish, picked it up with the tips of its claws, shook its head, and was walking to the front of the cottage. Once it was out of sight everyone started chittering, while I hopped to look out the front window. They tossed the fish in the stream, and went back where it walked, and everyone was silent again. Climbing onto Harry's head, I watched as the thin, but tall, monster, was putting on its horseshoe, and all of its clothes, but stopped to look at the fence. After a few moments, they grabbed the fence and twisted it to be straight again. It wasn't pretty, but it's fixed now. It then got some chicken feed from a nearby bag, an tossed some in the coop. The chickens, slowly, one by one, got out to eat, not minding the monsters presence. I dont think this is a monster anymore, with the things they did, but I don't want to get close to it. After they were done it put its jacket on, but didn't notice the wood floating past it. The chickens started to cluck loud, and flapped their way back into the coop. The timberwolf, now fully formed, and unnoticed, prepared itself to pounce, and when the tall thing put its hat on, and turned to look at the cottage, the wolf jumped. But as soon as it was close to latching on to them, it kicked so fast, I barely saw it. The timberwolf was now in bits, and I changed my mind about this dangerous monster. "That's a first." it said. It stood over the wood pile, and after a minute the timberwolf formed again. The monster stomped its horseshoe, getting close to the wolf's face and roared. "RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGH!!" Hearing it was one thing, but seeing where it came from, was terrifying. Everyone in the cottage stood still, and while we were quiet before, now, you could hear a pin drop. The timberwolf whined and yelped, running back into the Everfree, and the monster got on its wheels and went in the forest, but a different direction from the timberwolf. After about 15 minutes, the chickens got out again to eat, and everyone in the cottage asked if they could stay the night. Knowing what's out there, I agreed. I cleaned a bit of the mess that happened when the monster was visiting, and soon it was nighttime. I wished everyone a good night, but after what we witnessed... (Shudder)... I don't want to think about it. There were a few roars and howls, but it got quiet after a bit. Tension was high, and some went to sleep later than the rest. I was the last one awake, but eventually went to sleep. As long as they stay in the forest, theres nothing to worry about. Author's Note been a while lol
OG: A long ride"ALL ABOARD TO THE CRYSTAL EMPIRE!" "Welp, that's our queue." he muttered quietly to a sleeping Flurry.
'Shit, I'm in Equestria.'
Sighting My name is Button Mash, and I was hanging with my friend Rumble.
"The honors all mine, King Aspen."
ProteinA week ago, Fluttershy left a message for her animal friends to look over the cottage while she was away.
