Careless Happenings
Fade, part 2

The human wakes to his new alarm, feeling lighter than usual. After getting tired of the blares, and the times he woke up, he changed his alarm, but it doesn't stop the headache that's appeared.
Ever since he slept in the forest the first night, he's been getting headaches, and hasn't improved over time. He's tried relaxing, listening to music, and watching the fish in the river, but none of it worked. This morning, however, was different. Instead of seeing the forest as normal, it looked cartoony.
Thinking this was the result of the headache, and the loss of his glasses, he went to do some foraging. While fish could provide food, it couldn't provide all the nutritional needs, and needed another source of food. He found some crabapples, and some variety of berries, but he still needed to test them for poison.
He gathered the fruit, a metal water-bottle, putting it in his bag, and rode off on his bike near the river. It was hard to see far in the forest, but he needed a general clearing, one where animals could come very often.
After 15 minutes he finds one, but knowing he can't see clearly, he sets the fruits in an organized pile and saves some apples for himself. There were orange colored berries, black colored berries, and supposedly blueberries. He climbs a tree and waits.
"Let's see what nature has to answer..."
^ 2 hours later ^
Animals came by, from a brown wolf, to a few birds but none of them went for the food.
That is until a deer came by and saw the piles of fruit. It sniffed the orange ones, but quickly got away, went to the black ones and took a few bites of it then ate the whole pile. Before it could get to the blue ones, it fell and convulsed for a minute before throwing up a black liquid.
The human jumped from the tree to examine the deer up close, and when he landed the deer saw him and tried getting away. "Hey, easy, I'm not gonna hurt you!" the deer didn't listen and tried to run, but fell, letting out a loud grunt. When the human touched the deer it gave up escape and waited for death... but it never came.
Confused, it looked at the human, "Told you I wasn't going to hurt you... want an apple?" he asked, offering the crabapple. It sniffed at it for a moment before eating it, "Yeah, sorry for poisoning you, but im trying to not risk myself." The deer looked at him again, stopping its chewing. "Got some water as well." he offered the water to the deer, but it looked away. "Well, I done all I can... don't eat the orange or black." He said, typing on his phone.
"Haven't been this close to a deer before," he said. He took a few pictures of it, and before he knew it, the deer slowly got up and left. Once it had disappeared in the foliage he got on his bike and rode back.
He ate a few apples while riding back, and was full when he arived. Bitter as the apples were, it was his breakfast on the bike. 'Big game was there, but there's predators, a lot of meat to drag, and pretty far from camp.' Unsatisfied with the taste, he got a fire going, and set up for his own apple sauce.
He got his mug filled with water, cut some apple's in it, cooked it, and mashed it. 'Better than bitter.' he thought while drinking it, leaving some to spare.
Satisfied with breakfast he saw a patch of "blueberries" but still unsure of its edibility. Not wanting to wait again, he got a berry and looked at it, 'looks like a blueberry... hmm?' then rubbed some on his skin. When nothing happened, he rubbed some on his lips, and still, nothing happened. He chewed a berry, spit it out, and set a 5 hour timer.
With nothing else to do, he put out the fire, and went hiking into the forest with apples and water, a shovaxe, his phone and earbuds, and put his music to shuffle.

The first song was short, but when the second song came...

It was perfect.
Some songs later, he came across a deer. It perked when it heard him, and immediately calmed down when it saw him. "You the same deer? heh, lookin' good." and he threw an apple to it. Thinking this was a good place to turn back, he walked back.
Ariving after 2 hours of hiking and lesser apples, he arived at camp. Taking his earbuds off he went for some apple sauce, but heard a snap. Turning he saw the deer had followed him back. "Uh...?" The deer sniffed the place around and went to the human, sniffing the mug. The human drank some, and gave the rest to the deer. "Why d'you follow me...? You know I can eat you, right?" the deer looked at him, but didn't back down.
He ignored the deer, sat to fish and listened to music, with his slight headache. An hour had passed, and he caught a few fish, 'How's my panel and bank doin'...?' he looked to where it is and saw the deer inspecting it. "Don't get too close!" he warned. The deer backed away, and went to get some water from the river.
When he turned to the deer again it was looking into the forest, unmoving. Without thinking, he grabbed his shovaxe and adjusted it to be a pickaxe, but when he turned to the deer, it was gone. He put away his earbuds, and paused the music... watching... listening.
When nothing happened for some time, he slowly turned away, thats when he heard shuffling, and reacted, swinging the pick to his target. It connected, and he heard a whine. "Wolves..." he identified, and turned to swim in the river, but didn't notice another wolf sneaking on his left side, and the wolf pounced.
He fell to the ground and immediately put his left arm up for the animals jaws. The second wolf bit his arm, "ARG!" and he shoved it to the side. With the smelly wolf on the ground, pinned between his legs, and now bloody arm, he rears his right to use his shovaxe, but was knocked off by the first wolf. He quickly got up, river to his back, and saw the situation.
"A third one...?" he said annoyingly. There were 3 brown wolves, 2 on his right, 1 on his left. He stared down at them, and they stared back, growling. He swore that the eyes were glowing, but that didn't matter. He took a hard step forward and growled back. The wolves, not expecting this, steped back, and began circling him.
"I'm blind, wounded, and it's 3 against 1. Come on!" and the human charged at the middle wolf. the wolf widened its eye's, and before it could move, he striked it, and it collapsed to its side. "What the—?" but before he could think, a wolf pounced on him, bitting his shoulder. "Fucking—!" he jumped to land on his back, wolf still hanging from it, and when he landed, it hurt. "Unf!" he got up to finish it, tool raised, but saw a pile of wood. He saw the third in his peripheral, and swung at it instead, and when it connected, that's when he saw it.
The "wolf" bursted into wood instantly, and left the human to many questions. "What the fuck is going on!?" he yelled, first question asked, but winced when he felt his wounds. he walked to his backpack, grabbing a small bottle of alcohol spray, and put it on his wounds. He went to get a roll of bandages, but saw a glint nearby. "Oh shit, my glasses!" he wiped 'em and put them on, seeing the world... but not his world.
Everywhere he looked, it was a cartoon. The trees, his bag, 'what about—?' and himself. He looked at himself through his phone, and he looked cartoony as well. "No, no, no, no no no nononono..." he had a feeling he knew where he was at, but had to confirm it. Getting up to look at the wood piles, he waited. That's when it formed, wood glowing green, floating back to its original shape, and stinking the place. He readied his pick, when they all fully formed. Raising his pick high, spreading his jacket, looking big, he roared to the timberwolves, "RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGH!!"
The timberwolves, not wanting to burst again, ran off whining. When they were gone, the human went back to cover up his wounds. Spraying the alcohol again, he wrapped up his arm and shoulder. Out of breath, and headache rising, he called in early, walking to his shelter. "First thing in the morning, I'm packing up everything, dismantling what I made, and exploring this forest." Getting in his bed, he got as comfortable as he could, and went to sleep. The last thing he thought, was... 'Shit, I'm in Equestria.'
