ponies of the park
Chapter 1: Ponies of the park
It was a typical day in South Park, Colorado. The sun was shining, the snow was ice cold, and a new kid had moved into town. His name is Hector Parker, and he was on a quest, a quest of friendship. It sounds cheesy, but he was living in a redneck town so he started this mission for a reason.
“Okay, the internet says this neighborhood is full of kids, but I don’t think that means my quest will be easy,” said Hector, as he took a walk outside of his ‘house’.
While he was walking around the neighborhood, he bumped into four boys around his age. Their names were Stan Marsh, Kyle Broflovski, Eric Cartman, and Kenny McCormick.
“Hey guys look, it’s the new kid,” said Stan, as he pointed at Hector. “Hey kid, what’s your name?”
“I’m Hector Parker. Me and my family just moved to this town,” said Hector. “What are your names?”
“I’m Stan. This is Kyle, Cartman, and Kenny,” said Stan, as he pointed to his friends. “You wanna hang out with us?”
“Woah, hold on Stan! You want to add a member to our group without letting us take the time to get to know him. Isn’t that a little concerning?” asked Cartman.
“Just ignore captain fatass, he thinks our group isn’t worthy of new friends,” said Kyle, causing Cartman to throw a rock at him. “Ow! What the hell was that for?!”
“You know damn well what you said jewboy,” said Cartman. He then faced Hector. “So, are you joining our group or not?”
“Sure, I could use a friend group,” said Hector. “So, what’s on the agenda for today?”
“We were going to play kingdom of Zaron, someone lost the stick of truth,” said Stan, pointing at Kenny. “Because of that, we’re going out into the woods to look for a new stick of truth. If you want to come with us then that’s fine, but it might be a long trip so you might want to pack some stuff for the road.”
“Way ahead of you,” said Hector, who packed his backpack while Stan was talking. “I took the liberty of asking your parents for your backpacks.”
“(Thanks dude),” said Kenny, in his muffled voice. “(To the woods).”
Once the five boys were in the woods, they all started looking for the perfect replacement for the stick of truth. “How about this one?” asked Hector, holding a sixteen inch stick, with a little leaf on the top.
“That’s perfect,” said Stan. “Alright, we found the perfect stick, but since we have some time to spare, I guess we can explore the forest while we’re here.”
As the boys searched the forest for something interesting, Hector found something unusual. It was an old looking door, with carvings of what appear to be ponies. “Hey guys, check out this weird looking door,” said Hector, as his new friends showed up next to him. “What do you think is behind this door?”
“(Maybe it’s a parallel universe),” said Kenny.
“Or a place where being a hippie is against the law,” said Cartman, causing everyone to give him weird looks. “What? A kid can dream, can he?”
“Well, whatever’s behind this door is probably gonna be boring, so we might as well go home,” said Kyle.
“Yeah, but it could also be something dangerous. Maybe we should leave it closed,” said Stan.
“We could do that. But on the other hand, we won’t know if it’s dangerous unless we either open it and wait for something to come out, or we can open it then go inside if nothing happens,” said Hector. The five friends nodded in agreement, as Hector (without hesitation) began to slowly open the door. “Looks like the darkness consumed this room, let’s go inside and take a closer look.”
The five boys then walked into the room, all the while chills went down their spines. Suddenly, a magical force closed the door and began pulling the five friends down a spiraling path, causing them to scream in terror.
Somewhere, in another world…
After what seemed like forever, the five friends landed in a dark cave where they regained consciousness. “Ugh, my head hurts,” said Stan, as he rubbed his head with (what he assumed was) his fist. “Is everyone alright?”
“I think so, but for some reason I can only walk on all fours,” said Hector, who (along with the others) was walking on all fours. “Let’s get the fuck out of this cave.”
As the five friends walked out of the cave and into the sunlight, they made a surprising discovery. They turned into… ponies (more specifically, colts). “AHHH! PONY FACE!” yelled Stan, as he looked at his reflection in a puddle of water. He turned to his friends, which made them realize the same thing. “Holy crap! We’re all ponies!”
(In case you’re wondering, Stan and Hector are unicorns, Cartman and Kenny are pegasi, and Kyle’s an earth pony.)
Cartman, Kyle, and Kenny started freaking out, while Hector started breathing heavily for a minute. “Okay, let’s try not to panic. Everybody take a deep breath and let it out,” said Hector, which seemed to calm everyone down. “Okay, now that we’re all calmed down, let’s go look for someone to ask for help.”
While the five friends walked through the forest, they started talking about their lives and getting to know each other. After about two minutes, the five friends found a small town inhabited by other ponies. “Oh great, we found queersville USA,” said Cartman, who was bored after all the walking. “Do you think they have any food? I’m so fucking hungry.”
“Why don’t you and Kenny fly over us to see what it's like,” said Stan, to which Cartman and Kenny used their wings to get a better look at the town.
“(It’s a town full of ponies of different sizes, ages, and colors),” said Kenny, as he and Cartman flew back to the ground. “(Let’s go see if anyone can help us).”
The five colts eventually made it to the town, where they were looking for someone to ask for directions. “Why don’t we ask her?” asked Hector, pointing to a pink earth pony with a poofy pink mane. “Excuse me, can you please tell us where we are?” The pink pony just gasped and ran away. “Okay, that was weird. Let’s ask someone else.”
“But what if they ask about our parents?” asked Kyle.
“That’s easy, I already made up a backstory for us,” said Hector. “You guys come from abusive families, and you ran away to get away from them. Meanwhile, I was put in a foster home, and I ran away because they didn’t care about me.”
“Okay, that could work. Let’s find someone to ask,” said Stan, as he looked for someone (or somepony) to ask for directions. He then spotted a purple pony with wings and a horn. “Let’s ask her, she seems important.”
The five colts then walked over to the winged unicorn (hoping that there was a better word for that). “Um, excuse me, can you please tell us where we are?” asked Hector, which got the purple pony’s attention. “We’re lost and we don’t know where we are?”
“Of course, you’re in ponyville. You colts must be new around here, because I’ve never seen you before,” said the purple pony. “My name is Twilight Sparkle. What are your names?”
“I’m Stan Marsh,” said Stan.
“Eric Cartman, but you can call me Cartman,” said Cartman.
“I’m Kyle Broflovski,” said Kyle.
“(My name is Kenny McCormick),” said Kenny.
“And I’m Hector Parker,” said Hector. He then noticed that Twilight had a horn and wings. “Um, not to be rude or anything, but why do you have wings and a horn?”
“Oh, it’s because I’m an alicorn. I was born a unicorn, but I got these wings when I became a Princess,” said Twilight Sparkle, causing the five colts to bow mockingly. “You don’t have to bow, though. Anyways, are your parents nearby or is it just you five?”
“P-parents?” said Cartman, followed by him and his friends crying.
“What’s wrong?” asked Twilight, sounding concerned.
“C-cartman, Kyle, Kenny, and I lived with abusive families, but we r-ran away to get away from them because they were going to euthanize us,” sobbed Stan, who's clearly done this before. “A-as for Hector, he l-lived in a foster home with a mean provider, and he ran away because she was going to k-kill him.”
“Oh you poor little things. I didn’t know your lives were that bad,” said Twilight. “Don’t worry, I’m going to find each of you a home that you’ll be happy with. But first, you might want to see what my friend Pinkie Pie did for you.” She then walked inside (what the colts assumed was) her castle, as the five friends waited.
“Damn dude, that’s like the sixth time that’s worked,” said Stan.
“This is the tenth time for me,” said Hector. Just then, Twilight peeked out the door.
“Okay colts, you can come in now,” said Twilight, as she led the five colts inside a dark room. When she turned on the lights, it revealed a bunch of ponies of many different colors.
“Surprise!” shouted everypony. Just then, the pink earth pony from earlier hopped her way to the five colts.
“Hi there, my name is Pinkie Pie, what are your names?” asked Pinkie Pie.
“I’m Hector. This is Stan, Kyle, Cartman, and Kenny. We’re all new in town,” said Hector.
“Nice to meet you all. I saw you earlier and realized ‘I’ve never seen these colts before, I’ll throw them a party to welcome them to ponyville’. And while I was getting the party ready, Twilight told me your sad backstory, so I thought you’d feel so lonely after running away for so long,” said Pinkie Pie, talking faster than Quicksilver running in a marathon. She then regained her breath, and began talking again. “I just hope you enjoy this party, because I know that a party can cheer anypony up.”
“Well, thank you for the party. Come on boys, let’s have some fun,” said Stan, followed by the five colts partying like there was no tomorrow. Stan watched Trixie’s magic act (to see how bad it was), Kyle shared stories about his religion with some of the ponies (who thankfully didn’t know what he was talking about), Cartman chugged down the punch as other ponies cheered, and Kenny was flirting with some of the mares at the party.
As for Hector, he was still wondering about the portal that brought him and his friends to this place. His train of thought was interrupted when he accidentally bumped into a filly his age, causing his glasses to fall off. “Oh my, I’m so sorry. I didn’t see ya there,” said the filly in her country accent, as she placed Hector’s glasses on him. The filly was yellow with a red mane and a bright red bow in her hair. “Hi, I’m Apple Bloom. What’s your name?”
“I’m Hector Parker. Apparently, me and my friends are the guests of honor,” said Hector, trying his best not to gloat. “So, what brings you here, other than the invitation?”
“Well, I overheard Twilight talking to Pinkie Pie about your situation, and I thought I would cheer you up by, you know, being your friend,” said Apple Bloom, who started blushing. “By the way, before I forget, do you by any chance have a girlfriend?”
“Not anymore, my ex-girlfriend tried to get me to rob banks with her before I finally got the guts to break up with her,” said Hector, who was also blushing. “Other than that, I’m single. Why do you ask?”
“Just out of curiosity. I was also thinking that we should hangout if you’re not busy,” said Apple Bloom.
“I’d like that,” said Hector, who (without warning) gave Apple Bloom a kiss on the cheek, causing both of them to blush bright red. “See ya later.” He then met up with his friends, before Twilight and her friends walked towards them. “Hey Twilight, who are your friends?” Twilight then gestured for her friends to introduce themselves.
“The name’s Rainbow Dash,” said Rainbow Dash, in a raspy voice.
“Howdy, my name’s Applejack,” said Applejack, in a country accent.
“You already met me,” said Pinkie Pie.
“My name is Rarity,” said Rarity, in a slight British accent (with a hint of French).
“Oh, and um, I’m Fluttershy,” said Fluttershy, in a nervous tone of voice. “We all heard about your backstory, it must’ve been so hard on you poor little things.”
“It was, but now we just want a place to stay until we get back on our… hooves,” said Hector, who is used to saying hands instead of hooves.
“Which is why I made living arrangements for each of you,” said Twilight, as she pulled out a list. “Cartman will stay with Rainbow Dash, Kyle will stay with Pinkie Pie, Stan will stay with Fluttershy, Kenny will stay with Rarity, and Hector will stay with me. And as a bonus, you five can take turns helping Applejack at Sweet Apple Acres, mainly because I didn’t want Applejack to feel excluded.”
“And I thought Rarity was the generous one,” said Applejack, causing the others to chuckle.
“Anyways, once this party is over, you colts will be staying at the homes you were assigned. Any questions?” asked Twilight, followed by Hector raising his hoof. “Yes, Hector.”
“I have two questions: One, do you have any chili dogs? I'm really craving some chili dogs. Two, if you do have chili dogs, can I go to bed after I finish eating?” asked Hector.
“First off, yes we have chili dogs, but it's vegan meat,” said Twilight, as she handed Hector two chili dogs, which he happily ate. “Second, when you're done eating, I’ll lead you to the room you’ll be sleeping in.”
Suddenly, Hector was done with his chili dogs, letting out a small burp. “Excuse me,” said Hector, followed by Twilight leading him to the guest bedroom. “Thanks for letting me stay here Twilight. Who’d have thought that I would be staying in the castle of a princess.”
“Sometimes things just happen whether we expect them or not,” said Twilight, as she tucked Hector in his new bed. She then put his glasses on the nightstand, turned off the lights, and went to close the door. “Good night Hector.” She then closed the door.
“Good night,” said Hector, as he drifted off to sleep.
Chapter 2: Fitting in
Hector woke up from his sleep, feeling well rested. “Wow, what a great dream,” said Hector. He then looked at his hands (or hooves) and realized that he wasn’t dreaming. “Oh, well on the bright side, I’m in the castle of a Princess.”
He then got on fours and trotted off to look for the kitchen. “Hello! Twilight! Where’s the kitchen?!” asked Hector, only for Twilight to teleport right in front of him. “Ay caramba! You almost gave me a heart attack!”
“Relax, I was just going to show you where the kitchen is. Hold on tight,” said Twilight, who then grabbed Hector’s hoof, followed by them teleporting to the kitchen. “Something tells me this is your first time using a teleportation spell.”
“What was your first clue?” asked Hector, sarcastically. He then sat down at the dining table, waiting for breakfast. “So what’s for breakfast? Please let it be pancakes.”
“You’re in luck, it is pancakes. Eat up, little ponies need their strength,” said Twilight, as she placed a plate with three neatly cut pancakes, which Hector happily ate. “Hector, I’ve been meaning to ask, what was it like staying in an orphanage?”
“It was tough. I thought it would be a nice place to stay until I got adopted, but when I found out that the caretaker was going to leave me on the streets I realized that there was no hope in a place like that,” said Hector, who was putting his acting skills to good use. “I decided to leave the orphanage, and I’ve been staying with friends all across the country just to stay alive. Eventually, I found Stan, Cartman, Kyle, and Kenny, and that’s when I found out that I wasn’t alone in this world.” He then started to tear up.
“Oh, you poor thing,” said Twilight, as she gave Hector a hug. “I promise you that I will find you a home, even if I have to search all over Equestria.” Just then, a little purple dragon walked into the room. “Oh, Spike, you're awake.”
“Yep, and I filled out those forms for you, just so you wouldn’t have to worry about it,” said Spike. He then noticed the blue colt next to Twilight. “Hey, isn’t that the colt from the party last night.”
“Yep, my name is Hector Parker. And I assume your name is Spike since that’s what Twilight just called you,” said Hector. He then faced Twilight. “So, is he your adopted little brother?”
“Not exactly. I may see Spike as a little brother, but my parents never ‘officially’ adopted him,” said Twilight. “Anyways, I’m going to be busy with my royal duties today, so I guess you can see how your friends are doing and maybe explore ponyville. Just don’t go beyond ponyville, or get injured.”
“Okay, thanks,” said Hector, as he trotted outside. He looked around town to see what he should do first, until he saw Apple Bloom talking to her friends. “Hey, Apple Bloom! How are you doing today?”
“Oh, I’m doing alright. I hope you’re having a good day too,” said Apple Bloom, who was clearly nervous, which her friends noticed. “Oh, I’d like to introduce ya to my friends, Scootaloo and Sweetie Belle.”
“Hi,” said Scootaloo.
“Hey, Apple Bloom has told us so much about you,” said Sweetie Belle.
“Hey. You do know we hardly know each other right?” asked Hector.
“I know, but I just couldn’t stop thinking about you,” said Apple Bloom, who was blushing bright red. “Not in a creepy way, I meant in a friendly way. So, do you want to see how your friends are doing?”
“Sure, let’s check on Stan first. Does any… pony know where this Fluttershy lives?” asked Hector. The three fillies then walked with Hector to Fluttershy’s cottage, where the yellow, pink maned Pegasus answered the door.
“Oh, hello young foals. What brings you here?” asked Fluttershy, in her usual shy voice tone.
“We’re here to see how Stan is doing, and also wondering if wanted to hang out with us,” said Hector. Just then, Stan walked towards the four foals, but for some reason he had soap suds in his mouth. “Good morning, Stan. What’s with the soap suds in your mouth?”
Stan then spat out the soap suds. “I said a ‘bad word’ in front of Fluttershy and she stuffed soap in my mouth for no reason,” said Stan.
“Well, I’m sorry Stan, but I had to teach you a lesson about bad language. Didn’t you ever learn that saying swear words in front of innocent souls is wrong,” said Fluttershy, trying to sound tough. “Now run along and play with your friends, and be back before dark or else you’re grounded.”
“You’re not my mom, so you don’t have the authority to ground me,” said Stan.
“Technically, she can do that since she’s your legal guardian and essentially your honorary mother,” said Hector, causing Stan to glare at him. “I know, I know, I’m not helping. Let’s just go get Kenny.”
The three fillies walked with the two colts to Rarity’s boutique, where they were greeted by Rarity (Sweetie Belle’s older sister) putting the final touches on a tuxedo that Kenny was modeling. “(Oh, hey guys. Check out this tuxedo I’m modeling),” said Kenny, in his muffled voice.
“Hey Kenny,” said Hector. He then faced Rarity. “Why is he modeling the tuxedo?”
“Well, Kenny thought it would be ‘fun’ to peep on me while I was in the shower. So in order to make it up to me, he agreed to model this tuxedo for me while I put on the finishing touches,” said Rarity. “Honestly, you can’t really blame him, he’s not the only colt who simps over me.”
“That actually makes a lot of sense,” said Stan. He then faced Kenny. “We’ll wait until you’re done with this, then we’ll meet up with Cartman.” Kenny nodded.
A few minutes later…
Once Kenny was finished modeling the tuxedo, he joined his friends and the three fillies as they all made their way to Cloudsdale… until they realized that Cloudsdale was located in the clouds (which actually made sense in hindsight).
“(How the hell are we supposed to get up there? I mean, me and Scootaloo have wings so we can get up there but the rest of you don’t,” said Kenny.
“Actually, I have a wing disorder that prevents me from flying, but I can still stand on clouds like my fellow pegasi,” said Scootaloo.
“I think I know a way to get us non flying ponies to Cloudsdale. I read a book of spells that just so happen to have two spells just for this occasion: one to levitate ponies, and one that lets non pegasi stand on clouds,” said Hector, as the others gave him weird looks. “What? Twilight Sparkle has like a billion books in her library alone, and I’m a sucker for books with magic spells.”
“Just do the fucking spell!” said Stan, to which Hector cast the spell, causing the non flying foals to levitate towards Cloudsdale. “Are you casting the other spell?”
“One step ahead of you,” said Hector, as he cast the second spell. “So where does Rainbow Dash live?”
“We’re right in front of her house,” said Scootaloo, followed by her knocking on the front door. The door was answered by Cartman, who looked like he had a big breakfast. “Hey, you must be Cartman. Nice to meet you.”
“Nice to meet you too, not that it really matters, but it’s nice to meet new friends,” said Cartman. “I honestly thought staying with someone with an ego as big as my own would be hell on earth, but Rainbow Dash and I actually had fun all night.”
“It’s true. He may be a bit of a handful, but he was fun to hang out with nonetheless,” said Rainbow Dash. She then faced Cartman. “Maybe you should hang out with them, they are your friends after all.”
“Okay, I’ll be home before it gets dark,” said Cartman. He and the other foals were then safely transported back to the ground with a teleportation spell that Sweetie Belle used. “Okay, that was pretty cool, but next time give me a warning before you teleport me off of a cloud.”
“Duly noted. Now let’s get Kyle, he should be at Sugarcube Corner,” said Hector, as he and the other foals walked to Sugarcube Corner. Once they were there, they were greeted by an exhausted looking Kyle. “Woah dude, looks like you didn’t get much sleep last night.”
“That’s because Pinkie Pie was keeping up all night with her party planning ideas. I could barely go five seconds without her waking me up,” said Kyle, who was drinking coffee to get his energy back. The five colts and three fillies eventually made their way to a treehouse near Sweet Apple Acres. “What’s this?”
“It’s a treehouse, shit for brains,” said Cartman.
“I know that, jackass. I meant who does this belong to,” said Kyle.
“It’s ours, we call ourselves the Cutie Mark Crusaders,” said Apple Bloom. “We noticed that you boys don’t have any cutie marks, so we decided to let you join us until you get your cutie marks.”
“Could you explain to us what the fuck a cutie mark is,” said Cartman, causing the Cutie Mark Crusaders to gasp. “Are you gasping because I said a swear word, or because we don’t know what cutie marks are?”
“The second one. And to answer your question, a cutie mark is a mark you get on your flank when you discover what your special talent is,” explained Sweetie Belle. “Do you guys know what you’re good at?”
“Well, Cartman’s good at being stupid,” said Kyle.
“At least my mom wasn’t a stupid bitch every time she saw tv!” said Cartman.
“We can argue about who has a worse mom later. But as for talents, I have a pretty gross talent,” said Hector.
“What is it?” asked Stan.
“I can play a flugelhorn… with my butt,” answered Hector, causing the others to gag. “I could demonstrate if you want?”
“No thanks, that won’t be necessary, we’ll just take your word for it,” said Sweetie Belle. “Do you have any other talents?”
“(We’re all pretty good at singing),” said Kenny. The boys then sang a sample of the song ‘Fingerbang’ (which I can’t show the lyrics for because it’s not an MLP song ), and the girls thought it was really good.
“Wow, you boys are naturals. It’s like you’ve had practice before you ran away from your homes,” said Apple Bloom. She then realized what she said. “I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to bring that up.”
“It’s okay, I know you didn’t mean to bring it up, but it’s okay if you want to ask us about it,” said Hector, followed by a wink to his friends, letting them know that he knew what he was doing. “If you want, I could tell you about my life before I came to town.”
“That would be nice. Which reminds me, how did you survive on the run?” asked Apple Bloom.
“I did something I’m not proud of… I stole from ponies so that I could provide for myself,” said Hector, causing the foals around him to gasp.
“Why did you do that?” asked Sweetie Belle.
“It was because I was under the influence of my now ex-girlfriend, Emily,” said Hector. “One day in the big city, I was alone in the streets. But when I met Emily, she helped me search for food and shelter whenever I needed it. I don’t remember when it started, but she and I eventually started stealing food from stores and restaurants, and we even stole jewelry just to sell it on the black market for cash.”
Hector was starting to tear up. He was actually telling the truth about his life, the only thing he changed was the mention of humans.
“It doesn’t stop there,” continued Hector. “One day, me and Emily saw a shiny crown in a jewelry store, and she immediately knew she wanted to steal it. When I saw my reflection in the window the night of the heist, I saw what I had become… a common criminal. Once I heard the cops coming, I ran away with the crown and left Emily. And when she got arrested, I never got to see her again.”
“What did you do with the crown?” asked Scootaloo.
“I sold it on the black market, and I’ve been trying to never look back ever since,” said Hector, as he wiped away his tears. “Okay, now that you all know how I was doing before I came to Ponyville, why don’t we try some activities to earn these cutie marks.”
“Oh, okay. How about we try ziplining?” suggested Apple Bloom.
“NO!!” yelled four of the five colts, with Hector being the exception.
“Last time we went ziplining we almost died, and it almost cost us our friendship,” said Cartman, who was still traumatized by the last time he and his friends went ziplining. “Is there anything else we can start with?”
“How about we start with cooking,” said Apple Bloom, to which the five colts agreed. “Okay, let’s head to Sugarcube Corner.”
On the way to Sugarcube Corner, Hector had a few things to ask Apple Bloom. “Hey, Apple Bloom, I’ve been meaning to ask, what’s it like having a family?” asked Hector. Apple Bloom just looked down, making Hector assume that he shouldn’t have asked that question.
“It’s nice, but you have to appreciate what you have until it’s gone,” said Apple Bloom. “I may have a family, but I hardly knew my parents. They died when I was too young to remember. I may not have known them for long, but it still feels like they’re still around.”
Hector was feeling sorry for asking the question, prompting him to give Apple Bloom a hug in order to cheer her up. “It’s okay, I know what it’s like to not know much about my parents. But I always tell myself to keep moving forward, and it always makes me feel better,” said Hector. “They may be gone, but they are not forgotten. If you think about them a lot, it’ll make you smile and make you feel like they’re still here for you.”
Hector was close to tearing up, but Apple Bloom wiped away his tears. “Don’t cry, you’ll find a family someday,” said Apple Bloom.
“Hey, lovebirds, are you coming to Sugarcube Corner or are you going to stay and make out?” said Kyle, running the touching moment.
“Alright, save your breath kosher boy!” said Hector, as he and Apple Bloom walked to Sugarcube Corner.

the quest for cutie marks
Chapter 3: The quest for cutie marks
Once the eight foals were at SugarCube Corner, they all tested their baking abilities by making a cake that best suited their personality.
Cartman made a cheesy poof shaped cake, Stan made a football shaped cake, Kenny made a cake shaped like a gold bar, Kyle made a cake shaped like one of those Jewish stars, and Hector made a cake shaped like a castle.
“Wow, these cakes look amazing,” said Scootaloo.
“And they all taste pretty good,” said Sweetie Belle, as she taste tested the cakes.
“They look great, but why is yours shaped like a castle?” asked Apple Bloom, facing Hector.
“Oh, it’s to represent my dream of being part of a family, preferably in a big house, or in this case a castle,” said Hector.
“Well, you are staying with Twilight, maybe she’ll adopt ya someday,” said Apple Bloom. “Maybe you’ll become a prince if that happens.”
“Yeah, but I doubt that a Princess would ever want to adopt a colt that was raised on the streets,” said Hector. “Then again, she does have a dragon for a servant so I think it’s a possibility.”
“Hey, Spike is not a servant, he’s like a little brother to Twilight, and he’s her number one assistant,” said Sweetie Belle.
“That sounds suspiciously like a servant, but let’s be glad the little guy doesn’t scrub the toilet,” said Cartman, causing the colts to chuckle.
“Okay, you make a good point, but he’s not a servant,” said Apple Bloom. “By the way, before I forget to ask, do any of you boys have any girlfriends?” The boys suddenly started blushing at the question.
“(I’ve got one, her name is Tammy. But she likes… adult type stuff),” said Kenny, which left the fillies confused until they found out what Kenny meant.
“I had a girlfriend named Bebe, but she dumped me for my friend, Clyde,” said Kyle.
“Well, that doesn’t surprise us. As for me, I’m currently in a somewhat rocky relationship with my girlfriend Heidi, we started off a little rough but we made it work,” said Cartman.
“I’m in a relationship with a girl named Wendy, but sometimes she questions whether I love her or not,” said Stan.
“And you all know about my love life, so I don’t think you need a recap… again,” said Hector. “I think it’s safe to say that we’ve been through the troubles of having a relationship.”
“Ok, that’s good to know,” said Apple Bloom. “Also, I don’t think you got your cutie marks in baking, maybe we should try something else.”
“What’s next, finding out that the inner machinations of our minds are an enigma?” said Cartman, rhetorically.
“I was going to say that you should help other ponies with their problems,” said Apple Bloom. “Or we could do… chemistry, wink wink.” She said that last part while winking.
“If you want to learn about love you could just tell us instead of leaving it ambiguous,” said Hector, causing Apple Bloom to blush. “If you want to find love, you must wait for it to find you. And then when your moment comes, you spend your life with the pony you love.”
“That was beautiful, dude. Very inspiring,” said Stan, who was trying to hold back his tears. “I guess your talent is being inspirational.”
“Yeah, I guess it is,” said Hector. Suddenly, he started to levitate in the air as sparkles of light surrounded him. “What’s happening?!” Once he stopped levitating, he noticed that he now had a cutie mark on his flank. “Holy shit! I got my cutie mark!”
Hector’s cutie mark appeared to be some sort of equation. “What do you think the equation means?” asked Stan.
“Oh, I’ve seen this equation in Spider-Man, it means ‘with great power comes great responsibility’. It’s basically an inspirational quote,” said Hector. “I guess my special talent is being inspirational to others.”
“That’s a pretty good talent. Maybe you can be a motivational speaker when you grow up,” suggested Apple Bloom. “But now I’m sad that you’ve got nopony that’s gonna be proud of you.”
Hector started to get upset. “It’s okay, I still got you guys,” said Hector. “I’m going back to Twilight’s castle, you guys can keep trying to get your cutie marks.” He trotted back to the castle, where he found himself sitting in the map room. “Wow, pretty big map.”
“Hey Hector, what’s wrong?” asked Twilight, as she walked up to the young colt. She then noticed his cutie mark. “Wow, you’ve only been here for two days and you already got your cutie mark. Judging by the equation, I assume it has something to do with being inspirational.”
“Yeah, but there’s no one in my life who can be proud of me. I’m all alone,” said Hector. The alicorn princess then hugged the young colt, which only slightly cheered him up. “I just wish I had a family, or, at the very least, a mother who would love me forever.”
Suddenly, Twilight got an idea. “Hector, how would you like to be adopted by… me?” asked Twilight. “I promised you that I’d find you a home, and I’m going to give you one.”
“Really? You would want to adopt me?” said Hector, in disbelief. “No offense, but you look a little young to have a kid, let alone an adopted one.”
“I’m only 22, I think I’m old enough to take care of a foal. So is that a yes or a no?” asked Twilight.
“Please excuse me for my language… hell yes I want you to adopt me!” said Hector, as he gave Twilight a hug.
A few days later…
Hector had recently been adopted by Twilight Sparkle and so far he was enjoying having her as his mother. Meanwhile, his friends were in the library trying to find some information about the portal that brought them to this world.
“Hey guys, check it out. This book has a picture of the door,” said Stan, holding a book with the picture of the door portal that brought them to Equestria. He then proceeded to read the book until he found some useful information. “It says here that the portal was created to bridge a gap between Equestria and the human realm. It was designed to allow humans to explore Equestria in their human form, but the spell used to create it also allowed humans to turn into ponies.”
“Are the effects permanent?” said Kyle, to which Stan shook his head. “Oh, thank heavens.”
“You do know Jews don’t go to heaven, right?” said Cartman, mockingly.
“Fuck you, Cartman!” said Kyle. He then faced Stan. “Does it say anything about getting back to the human realm?”
“Yes, but since it’s been a week since we entered the portal, we’ll have to wait two more weeks for the portal to open up again,” said Stan.
“I don’t know about you guys, but I’m loving it here in Equestria,” said Hector, as he walked into the library. “Things are going well. I’ve got a new home, a mom, a new family, and new friends.”
“(Does this mean you’re not going back to the human world with us?)” said Kenny.
“Sorry guys, but you need that world more than anything. I’m gonna miss you guys,” said Hector, as he and his friends engaged in a group hug. “Well, we better get some shut eye.” His friends then said their goodbyes and went to their respective legal guardians.
Later that night…
Once everypony was asleep, Hector snuck out and went to the location of the door portal. “Sorry guys, it’s for the best,” said Hector, as he shattered the portal.

looking for a new way home
Chapter 4: Looking for a new way home
Hector had just woken up from a long night as he made his way to the kitchen for breakfast.
“Hey kiddo, is something wrong? You look like you got brought back from the dead,” said Twilight, as she gave Hector his breakfast, which was his favorite, pancakes of the buttermilk variety.
“It’s nothing, mom, really. I just had a long night,” said Hector, as he began to eat his breakfast. “It’s just, I have this secret that me and my friends have been trying to keep hidden from the other ponies, but I feel like I should ask for help or advice at the very least.”
“There, there, you can tell me what’s wrong. After all, mother knows best. Now, tell me everything,” said Twilight.
Hector then proceeded to tell his adoptive mother about the portal, where he and his friends were from, and how they had been trying to get back home. He even told her that he smashed the portal into pieces, which shocked her a little bit.
At first, Twilight was upset that Hector had lied to her and all of ponyville, but then she realized that humans aren’t exactly a common species in Equestria. “I’m glad you told me about this. But why did you shatter your only hope of getting to the human world?” asked Twilight.
“Because I don’t want to be a human anymore. Ever since I got here I’ve been very happy with my life. I’ve got new friends, I’ve got shelter, I’ve got food, and the one thing that I’ve always wanted… a mom,” said Hector, who was beginning to cry. “When you’re a human, nobody cares for you if you’re an orphan, and I had to live on the streets and steal my food to boost. And to top it all off, I had a girlfriend who I thought cared for me but was only using me to steal a Queen’s crown.”
Once he was done rambling, he finally caught his breath. “So you see, I don’t want to be a filthy human, but I didn’t think that I would ruin my friends lives by shattering their ticket home,” said Hector. “Do you think that there’s another way to get them home?”
“As a matter of fact, I have a magic mirror that leads to the human world. I have a friend who lives there, and she mentioned a ‘redneck’ town called South Park, so I think your friends can just take a plane home,” said Twilight.
Just as their conversation was over, Hector’s friends walked into the room. “Hey dude, how are you?” said Cartman. He then read the room. “Oh for Fred Fucks sake, you told her the truth?”
“I’m sorry, but I figured out how to get you guys home,” said Hector. Twilight then led the five boys to the mirror portal to the human world. “If you jump through the mirror, you’ll be able to go back home, after a plane ride of course.”
“That’s great, but aren’t you going back home with us?” asked Stan. Hector shook his head.
“I’ve decided to stay here in Equestria. You guys have families in the human world, and they’re probably looking for you,” said Hector. “Besides, my coronation is in a few days so I can’t miss it. I’m going to miss you guys.”
“You know what, if you’re not going back then I’m not going back,” said Cartman. “You showed me the bright side of being a good person, and I’m not going to let you live without friends.”
“(Me too, you’re one of the only ponies who can understand me both physically and emotionally),” said Kenny.
Stan had to think for a moment. “You know, we barely have any interactions, but you’re still a good friend. So, I’m staying,” said Stan. “It’s all up to you Kyle.”
“Sorry guys, but I’m going back home,” said Kyle, which shocked the others. “I just miss being human. There’s nothing electronic or human related in this world. So I’m not going to be staying.”
“Well, good riddance. We don’t need a fucking Jew on our team,” said Cartman.
“Yeah, sorry for this, but Hector’s a better friend than you and your bitch of a mom,” said Stan. Kenny just nodded.
“Fine, have fun without fingers,” said Kyle, as he disappeared into the portal mirror.
“Good riddance,” said Cartman. He then faced Hector. “So, what was that about a coronation?”
“Well, since my mother has royal authority I’m going to become a prince, And I was hoping that you guys would be able to help me with my royal duties,” said Hector, to which his friends eagerly nodded. “Cartman and Kenny, you two can be my royal guards, and Stan can be my royal adviser.”
“We accept the offers,” said Stan.
“This isn’t an offer, it’s ordered by Princess Celestia. But thanks for accepting anyways,” said Hector.
Two weeks later…
After Hector’s coronation, Cartman and Kenny were instated as royal guards and Stan became Hector’s royal adviser. Suddenly, Kyle came out of the mirror portal, and was stopped by Cartman and Kenny (who had his hoodie down so he could wear his helmet).
“Halt, who goes there!” said Cartman. “Oh, look who decided to pay us a visit.”
“Shut up, dumbass,” said Kyle. “Where’s Stan? His parents are worried about him.”
“He’s doing just fine as Hector’s royal adviser. Me and Kenny on the other hand became royal guards,” said Cartman. Just then, Hector and Stan entered the room. “Your highness, the traitor has returned, shall we alert your mother, or perhaps princess Celestia?”
“ At ease soldiers, we’ll deal with him later,” said Hector. “In the meantime, we’ve got a big day ahead of us.”
“What’s the hurry?” asked Kenny.
“It’s Apple Bloom’s birthday, so I’ve got to be ready for the party,” said Hector. “I know leaving your families has been hard, but it means so much that you stayed with me for so long. I don’t know how long our lifespan is, but I know that we won’t waste it.”
The four friends then group hugged, while Kyle joined in out of pity. They all went to the party (except Kyle), and they enjoyed the rest of their lives in Equestria for years to come. Except for Kyle who lived in the human world.

Chapter 5: Epilogue
Many moons later, Hector and Apple Bloom were preparing for the biggest day of their lives… their wedding day. Everything was set, all that was needed was the bride and groom.
“Okay fillies and gentlecolts, let’s get this wedding party started,” said Pinkie Pie, who was in charge of planning the wedding. “The banner goes over there, Stan. Thanks, and I love the cake, boys.”
“You’re welcome pinkie pie,” said Cartman, as he and Kenny carried the cake to the dining table. “Looks like the guests are arriving, where the fuck is Stan?”
“Sorry I’m late, I had to wait in a long line to get these rings,” said Stan, who was chosen to be the ring bearer. “Being the royal adviser has its perks and downsides.”
“We still need the best mare, but we don’t know where or who she is,” said Kenny. “I thought Hector said he chose his best mare?”
“He did, he said she was an old friend of his,” said Twilight, who was the caterer for the wedding ceremony. Suddenly, a beautiful mare (around Hector’s current age) entered the altar. “Oh, hello. I don’t believe your name is on the guest list. Who are you?”
“My name is… Emily, Hector chose me to be his best mare,” said Emily. “You must be Twilight Sparkle, Hector’s adoptive mother.”
“That’s me, it’s great to finally meet you. I’m not fond of the bad things you taught Hector, but I’m willing to give you a chance to be a part of the greatest day of my son’s life,” said Twilight, who was hoping that Emily would make the right choice.
“Don’t worry, I wish your son the best of luck with his new bride, your highness,” said Emily, as she bowed before Twilight Sparkle.
“I guess even thieves can have manners,” said Stan. “Oh, I’m Stan Marsh, Hector’s royal adviser. Since you are the best mare, Kenny will show you where to go.” Kenny showed Emily where to go, while Stan checked up on the groom. “Hey buddy, how are you doing?”
“I’m excited, but mostly nervous. This is the biggest day of my life and I don't know if I’m ready to go through it,” said Hector, who (like everypony after the time skip) was now all grown up. He was wearing a black tuxedo for this special occasion. “But I’m still going through with it because I know that my friends will be there by my side.”
“That’s why we didn’t leave, because friendship is the best thing to have,” said Stan. “It sounds lame, but it’s true. Btw, we need you at the altar.”
“Okay, let’s do this,” said Hector, as Stan walked his friend to the altar.
Meanwhile, Applejack went to check on the bride, Apple Bloom. “Hey, Sugarcube. How are ya?” asked Applejack, who was proud of her little sister for getting married.
“Excited, but I’m also nervous. I’m about to become part of a royal family, and ah don’t think I’m ready for the sophisticated life,” said Apple Bloom, who was wearing a white wedding dress.
“Oh, if only mom and dad could see you now,” said Applejack, as she began to tear up. “It seemed like only yesterday that I was holding your bottle. And now you’re getting married to the stallion of your dreams.” She then burst into tears. “I promised myself I wouldn’t cry.”
“It’s okay, sis. I’m still gonna be your little sister, but I’m not so little anymore,” said Apple Bloom, as she hugged her big sister. “I promise I’ll write to you during the honeymoon.”
“I know. Now, let’s get you married,” said Applejack. As the wedding began, Applejack walked her sister down the aisle, where the groom was waiting.
“Friends and family, we are gathered here to celebrate this momentous occasion,” began Twilight. “May I have the rings?”
Stan then handed the bride and groom the wedding rings, which were placed around their necks instead of on their hooves (which actually makes sense when you think about it). “You’re welcome, by the way,” said Stan.
“Thank you, Stan,” continued Twilight. “Apple Bloom, do you take Hector to be your lawfully wedded husband, to love and to cherish for as long as you both shall live?”
“I do,” said Apple Bloom.
“And Hector, do you take Apple Bloom to be your lawfully wedded wife, to love and to cherish for as long as you both shall live?” asked Twilight.
“I do,” said Hector.
“Then by the power invested in me, I now pronounce you husband and wife, you may kiss the bride,” said Twilight. Hector and Apple Bloom then shared their first kiss as newlyweds, causing the guests to cheer.
At the after party…
The after party was going smoothly, and the newlyweds were having the time of their lives. “I still can’t believe that we’re finally together after all these years,” said Apple Bloom.
“You mean marriage wise, right?” asked Hector, to which his bride nodded, followed by them kissing each other. “At least I didn’t have to step on a glass vase.”
“Hey lovebirds, how are my son and his wife doing this fine evening?” asked Twilight, as she and the rest of the mane six showed up. “So, how does it feel to be royalty, Apple Bloom.”
“It feels good, but I think it might be a while before I get used to these wings and this horn,” said Apple Bloom, who was now an alicorn. “But other than that, I’m happy with what my life has become. Besides, I also got a new mom.”
“Technically, she’s your mother in law but she’s a mother nonetheless,” said Applejack, who was okay being related to her friend (even if it means being a daughter in law). “Just remember that your real mom and dad would be so proud of you.” She started tearing up again. “Great, now I’m crying again.”
“I thought you only cried on the inside,” said Rainbow Dash.
“I only cry on the outside on special occasions,” said Applejack, as she wiped away her tears.
“It’s okay, darling, we all have to grow up eventually,” said Rarity.
“Speaking of growing up,” said Stan, as he, Kenny, and Cartman joined the conversation. “We were thinking of staying in this world longer than we intended.”
“So you guys are staying?” asked Hector.
“Obviously, we like the lives we have in this world. Also, a certain somepony was chosen to be Apple Bloom’s mare in waiting,” said Cartman, just as Emily joined in the conversation.
“Did somepony mention me,” said Emily.
“Thanks for being my mare in waiting. It’s great to see that you’ve changed over the years,” said Apple Bloom.
“It’s an honor, your highness,” said Emily. She then faced Hector. “Treat her right, I think you picked a good one.”
“I’ll keep that in mind,” said Hector.
“So… what’s next for all of us?” asked Kenny.
“I don’t know, but whatever comes next, we’ll be ready,” said Hector, resulting in a group hug.
