Rarity's Special Request
One Last Job
Load Full Story“Y-You want me to do what, now?”
Rarity bit her lip, her pale face currently redder than a fresh crop at Sweet Apple Acres. “I want you, Sunset Shimmer.......tobullyme.” She had spent the past few days rehearsing this request over and over and over and it did absolutely nothing to make saying it out loud less difficult. The fashionista couldn’t even look her girlfriend in the eye, her delicate hands gripping the mattress of the bed she was sitting on like she’d fall into The Endless Void Of Embarrassment if she let go.
“...your special girlfriend emergency request....is for me to bully you?”
Rarity nodded, finding the ability to speak words incredibly difficult at this moment. Hearing Sunset actually say her heart’s deepest, dirtiest desire out loud was enough to make her ears burn with shame, her nails digging deeper into the mattress while she anxiously kicked her legs in the air.
“Uh, I mean.....may I ask why you want me to bully you?” Rarity swore she could hear the shadow of a chuckle in Sunset’s voice, still unable to make eye contact with her. She supposed it was preferable to her sounding repulsed or angry, but it still didn’t make her feel great.
Not to mention, she’d been dreading having to actually explain this........want to Sunset for awhile now. It was all so deeply humiliating. But, she needed to come clean, otherwise this was going to hang over their heads for the rest of their relationship. So, gathering all the courage she could muster, Rarity took a deep breath, and explained:
“T-Truth be told, Sunset....I’ve wanted this for a long time now. Well before we started dating, even..” Rarity was now absentmindedly playing with the purple skirt of her blue dress, giving her hands something, anything to distract themselves with. “I...began having dreams of you harassing me, acting like your old self. You’d call me just the most nastiest things, things you never said even when you actually bullied me.”
The fashionista bit her lip, her chest and face growing hot, her hands now twisting her skirt into knots. Oh goodness help her, here was the worst part. “A-A-And I’d often.....I’d often......w-wake up deeply aroused by them!”
Rarity had left out the part where she awoke from those dreams with her panties soaking wet and her nipples so hard they were visible through her nightgown. Even with how open and vulnerable she was right now, she was certain she would actually, literally die from embarrassment if she mentioned those details to Sunset.
Still, that didn’t do much to keep Rarity from wishing her bed transformed into quicksand and sunk her in until she vanished completely. She kept her head down, ready for Sunset to yell at her any second now. She expected Sunset to be rightfully disgusted and to break up with her, for who could ever want to date such a degenerate? And Rarity knew how sensitive of a topic Sunset’s past as a bully was. How selfish of her to force her to relive those awful memories, the one’s she’s worked so hard to atone for just to satisfy her horrible little fetish SHE was horrible she was the worst girlfriend ev-
That’s when Rarity heard giggling.
Before she knew it Sunset was sitting right next to Rarity on her bed, placing a hand on her shoulder. “I uh, I appreciate your honesty, Rare.”
This forced Rarity to actually look her girlfriend in the eye for the first time since this confession started. She saw Sunset had a warm smile on her (incredibly lovely) face....though she swore she could see a faint hint of red splashed across her cheeks too.
Still, that assurance from Sunset did enough to quell the cyclone of anxiety in Rarity’s mind and she returned Sunset’s smile with one of her own, inching closer to her significant other.
“S-So you’re not upset?” Rarity inquired, her cheeks still glowing scarlet. “I know you don’t like being reminded of your old self.....
Sunset wrapped her arm around her favorite fashionista, affectionately nuzzling her head. “I don’t, no, but well, I admit I never knew you were into.......that kinda thing.” She let out another nervous giggle and just gosh-Rarity thought- Sunset was so cute she was so lucky to have her.
“Curious though....” Sunset asked, breaking their cuddle session. “What turns you on about that? I mean, I was pretty awful to you, I figured you wouldn’t be eager to relive those memories.” It was Sunset’s turn to avoid eye contact, as she was suddenly fascinated with a random strand of her flame colored hair and decided to play with it.
“For a long time I didn’t understand why it aroused me so either.” Rarity admitted, gripping the skirt of her azure dress just a little tighter as she steeled herself for yet Another Embarrassing Confession. “But the truth was, Sunset, I did understand, I understood perfectly. I was just too terrified to admit it, even to myself.”
Sunset stopped fiddling with her hair long enough to look at Rarity again, her sea-green eyes meeting Rarity’s deep blues. “And what was that?”
Rarity felt her face heat up again, the last bits of her composure she was hopelessly clinging on to mere seconds away from collapsing into dust. “Because......B-Because.....”
With an intensity that shocked both of them Rarity grabbed Sunset’s hands while her sapphire glare looked at her with frightening intensity. “Because I need a bad girl in my life, Sunset Shimmer.” She declared, any shame, any hesitation, any self consciousness gone in that moment, leaving only raw clarity.
“I need a sexy woman in a leather jacket with a sneering attitude to dominate me so, soooo bad. I need it so bad it makes my very soul ache! And you, my dear Sunset, are the best candidate to fulfill this desire. None of the other girls have the gravitas to sell that fantasy to me! Will you fulfill that fantasy for me, Sunset Shimmer!?” Rarity commanded, her voice now playing to the cheap seats.
As Rarity held her gaze, she could see that the small blush on Sunset’s cheeks had now completely taken over her face. They stared at each other for several seconds, the only sound being their mutually pounding heart beats. Rarity could practically see the NOW REBOOTING icon floating above Sunset’s head.
Just as she was starting to worry that she may have Overdid It a tad, Sunset finally regained the ability to speak words. “I’ll try my best?” She flashed her lover a nervous smirk.
The smile on Rarity’s face would light up all of Canterlot City. “OH THANK YOU SO MUCH SUNSET!” She grabbed her into a tight embrace. “You’re the best girlfriend a lady could ask for.”
“What kind of girlfriend would I be if I didn’t indulge in your weird kinks a bit?” Sunset chuckled, happily returning the hug, the warm fuzzies melting away any feelings of uncertainty.
Rarity was as giddy as a schoolgirl now. She was so, sooooooooo scared that this was going to end disastrously, but no, it was actually happening. Oh, somebody pinch her! (not literally please) As they pulled away Rarity was bouncing on her bed, her whole body surging with happiness.
Sunset stood up to stretch her legs. “Alright so, should I just start throwing random insults at you?”
Rarity nodded. “Affirmative, and don’t worry about holding back. I want you to be as mean as possible, really bring out your inner Queen Bitch!”
“Right, right.......gimme a moment to get back into character then.”
While Rarity tried to ignore the gnawing guilt in the back of her mind, it was clear Sunset still didn’t sound one hundred percent enthusiastic about this proposition. Before she could give her another out though Sunset fixed her with her best mean mug and Rarity felt her heartbeat’s speed increasing rapidly. It was that same old arrogant sneer she used to have almost glued to her face, the one that was just so infuriatingly sexy.
“Hey........loser.” Sunset jeered, trying to put some real mean girl energy into her delivery. Rarity gave it an A for effort but.....it just wasn’t doing anything for her. “Loser” didn’t have much bite to it, personally. But still, this was just a warm up, she was certain Sunset would get the hang of it soon. And perhaps call her one very specific and highly taboo thing that she wanted most.....
Clearing her throat, Sunset pulled out another insult. “Well look, it’s Queen Lame-O! Bet you’re doing some real dweeby stuff with your lame dweeb friends am I right!?” This time Sunset attempted to put a rasp in her voice, clearly going for “intimidating” but to Rarity’s ears it came off more as “constipated”.
“Oh come now Sunny! You can do much better than that....” Rarity challenged. “I’m giving you free rein to be as crude and mean and politically incorrect as you want! So don’t hold back, darling!”
“Got it, got it! I’ve been pretty out of practice on the whole bully thing but, I’m sure I’ll shake the rust off soon.”
Taking a deep breath, Sunset went back into Bully Mode. “Rarity? More like RariDORK!”
Alright, that one was bad enough that it actually took a decent hit off Rarity’s arousal. “Errrr, try again, dear.”
“Butthead?”
“No.”
“Doofus?”
“No.”
“P-Prissy pants?”
“Sunset Shimmer, are you taking this seriously or NOT!?” Rarity bellowed, her patience thin as she stood straight up from her bed to glare at her ineffectual bully. “Because if this is just going to be a joke to you then this is a waste of our time!”
Sunset took a step back, raising her hands up diplomatically. “R-Rare, chill! I’m doing my best here like, look, I promise this next one’s going to be heat, okay? Like some real queen bitch shit that will tooooootally turn you on.”
Rarity crossed her arms, a look of doubt etched on her face. “Okay, show me.”
“.....HEY, GEEKBURGER!”
The last vestiges of Rarity’s arousal died a sad, quiet death.
“Geekburger.......” Rarity whispered, eye twitching. Sunset never talked like that during her mean girl days, she sounded like she came right out of one of those cheesy anti bullying videos Miss Cheerilee put on when she didn’t feel like teaching that day. “Geekburger..........GEEKBURGER!! SUNSET ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME!” She roared, marching right up to her girlfriend until her back was forced up against the bedroom’s violet wall.
She didn’t let Sunset say a single word (not that she was able to come up with anything resembling a coherent response right this moment), instead slapping both of her hands open palmed against the walls, trapping Sunset between them. Her blue eyes bore right into the former pony’s very soul. “Sunset Shimmer, I’ve been hoping you would just figure this out on your own but clearly, you are too damned thick to realize so I’ll just make it plain: I want you to call me a faggot.”
After a few seconds to let Sunset.Exe process all of this, she responded: “Y-You want me to call you a......a faggot?” She said the last word in a hushed tone, like a teacher was going to suddenly materialize out of nowhere to write her up for using such foul language.
“Correct.” Rarity said, her glare staying unbroken. “Sunset Shimmer: I want you to call me your little faggy girl, that is the sexiest possible thing a woman could call me. I don’t care how problematic that word is, this will never leave the bedroom but I need it you don’t understand I need it. I’ve heard you call me a sissy faggot in so many of my dreams and it makes me erupt Every. Single. Time.”
Of all the ways Rarity expected Sunset to respond to her ultimatum, the last thing she expected was for her to start laughing.
“W-What’s so funny!?” She demanded, her authoritative tone faltering, a more than faint hint of crimson shading her cheeks.
“S-Sorry Rares just, I won’t lie it’s really fucking funny that “faggot” gets you all hot in bothered.” Sunset replied, her own cheeks quite red though more from laughter than embarrassment. “Like, just the idea that you get your panties wet from the same shit random dudes call me when I beat their ass in a round of Tirek’s Revengeance.”
“Oh.”
Rarity suddenly felt.....tired, too tired to keep Sunset pinned to the wall any further. She lowered her arms, her shoulders slumped, all her righteous anger deflating in an instant.
She felt silly. This whole affair was silly.
Sunset noticed the forlorn look on her girlfriend’s face and ceased her laughter immediately, her own face now full of concern. “Hey Rare you alr-”
“Let’s just forget this, Sunset. I’m sorry for wasting your time.” Rarity cut her off, her voice monotone, devoid of the accent she so heavily maintained. She crossed her arms, once more unable to look her in the eye. “I-If it’s alright with you, I’d prefer to be alone right now.”
“Rarity I’m so-”
“Please, just.....let me be, Sunset.” Rarity’s chest felt heavy, her throat dry, vision growing blurry. She made a valiant effort to hold it all back but as she felt her mascara slide down her cheeks, she knew she was fighting a losing battle.
She couldn’t believe she was about to sob over something so, so stupid. So her girlfriend thought it was funny that being called a gay slur got her sexually excited, who wouldn’t think that? It was absurd, an idiotic fetish really.
She refused to look at Sunset, knowing the second she did the dam would burst for good. Eventually, she heard the sound of her door opening and closing gently, confirming that she was alone in her room now. And with that, Rarity let it all out as she collapsed onto her bed and wailed.
I am the worst girlfriend in the fucking universe
That was the one and only thing Sunset thought for the entire miserable motorcycle ride home. She fucked up, she fucked up she felt awful she WAS awful she sucked so fucking much. Rarity trusted Sunset enough to share a deeply private, intimate part of herself and how did she respond? By fuckin yucking it up.
She made her girlfriend feel stupid and small and now she was in her bed crying on what was SUPPOSED to be a fun Saturday night for both of them like, it was perfect, her parents were gone for the weekend and Sweetie Belle was staying at the Apples till tomorrow like they had the entire place to themselves and she FUCKED UP.
And what right did she have to think that it was goofy that Rarity got flustered from being called a faggot? Like she had any right to judge? Like she wasn’t ALSO into a ton of weird shit? Like she didn’t get really fucking horny when she and Twilight were tied up together last year at summer camp by that crazy nature lady and there was the strong possibility that they were gonna die an-
Sunset suddenly realized that she almost passed her apartment, too busy wallowing in the myriad reasons why she was The Worst Girlfriend In The Universe to focus on trivial things like “paying attention to the road”. She slowed down and pulled into her driveway, parking the motorcycle in the little garage.
She killed the engine, removed her helmet and hopped off, walking out of the garage and to the front door with her shoulders slumped, fiddling with the keys and pushing through the door, ready for a fun weekend of doing nothing but staring blankly at her TV and/or phone and occasionally eating junk food. Just really marinating in that self loathing and depression, hell she might skip school on monday just to indulge in it a little more. Who cares if she got in trouble for it she made her girlfriend upset and nothing was worse than that.
Sunset flopped on the couch, turning the TV on to some junky reality show and just laying in a wretched heap for the next half hour.
Eventually, however, even Sunset was starting to get pretty sick of her own non-stop self-pity fest and forced herself up from the couch, deciding it was time to feed Ray.
Shambling over to her bedroom, Sunset turned on the light to see the cage of her precious little guy. Ray smiled, excited to see his owner back and well aware that meant Feeding Time.
Sunset returned with a small smile of her own, just the sight of her favorite lizard was enough to lift her spirits a little. As she opened a nearby drawer for his food, she saw her closet from the corner of her eye and suddenly, she had an idea.
An idea to make things up to Rarity.
It was a risky, pretty fucking stupid idea. But it was an idea nonetheless
After pouring some food in Ray’s bowl, Sunset walked over to her closet, rummaging through her clothing until she found it, buried alllllllllllll the way in the back.
Her old leather jacket, the exact one she wore during her infamous days as the cruel queen of Canterlot High. It was still intact, though beat to shit and hastily patched up after quite a few Rainbow Blast of Friendship induced tears.
Sunset hardly wore it ever since that fateful night at the Fall Formal, too many bad memories. But.....if she was going to enact this (ill advised) plan, she was going to need it.
She stared at the coat, feeling her sense of resolve grow and grow, she had to do it. For one night, she had to bring Bitch Queen Shimmer back to life.
She was the old gunslinger coming out of retirement for One Last Job.
Do It For Rarity.
Rarity glared at the latest draft of her apology text to Sunset with dissatisfaction, she had written and deleted what she wanted to say to her for the past hour now and nothing felt good enough.
She always prided herself on her way with words, whether negotiating with an unreasonable client or giving a dear friend some much needed encouragement. But frustratingly, her silver tongue was failing her when she needed it most. Any apology she wrote down just felt deeply inadequate for the way she hurt Sunset, it was a writer's block of the worst order!
With a theatrical sigh Rarity tossed her phone aside, opting to focus on the opened pint of mint chocolate chip ice cream resting on her lap instead as she shoved another spoonful in her mouth.
The cold creamy chocolaty minty taste was divine -as always- but it did little to ease Rarity’s melancholy. None of the usual pampering she indulged in when she was depressed did. Not the nice long, hot shower she took after her cry session, not putting on her favorite fluffy pink bathrobe (with a matching towel currently wrapped around her wet hair) and not even the (third) glass of finely aged red wine that was sitting on her coffee table could soothe her broken heart.
Rarity leaned back on the couch, staring at the living room ceiling, another sad exhale escaping her lips. She wished she handled that whole affair better, she really did. Sure, it legitimately hurt her feelings when Sunset laughed at her.....but could she truly blame her for that?
It was rather silly to get off on being called a faggot.
And it’s not like Sunset was judging her negatively for it, she didn’t reject her or brand her a freak for being into it but Rarity reacted like she did. And she was doing her best, it wasn’t fair to expect her to just read her mind and know that’s what she wanted to be called.
Not to mention, she was forcing Sunset to relieve a part of her life she despised and looked back on with shame, for what? To get her rocks off? What in the world was wrong with her? This whole idea was a disaster from the start, it was dead on arrival.
Swallowing a lump in her throat, Rarity grabbed the wine glass off the coffee table and took another drink. And now Sunset was home alone, likely feeling awful over this whole thing on what SHOULD have been an incredible weekend.
Rarity’s lip quivered, tears once more stinging her eyes. She took another sip. What an awful girlfriend she was. Perhaps the worst girlfriend in the entire uni-
The sound of the front door of Rarity’s home suddenly swinging wide open put an immediate, premature end to her self flagellation session as she shrieked in shock, dropping her carton on the floor and spilling quite a bit of wine on her bathrobe in the process.
Normally Rarity would be most displeased by getting wine all over her favorite bathrobe- not to mention the melted, sticky green ice cream that was now oozing onto her nice carpet- but that wasn’t her most pressing concern for the moment.
Instead it was who was barging into her home at such an hour. It couldn’t be one of her dear friends as any of them, even Rainbow would be considerate enough to at least send her a text beforehand.
It also wasn’t likely her parents returned early because again, they would have contacted her well in advance.
So obviously the only logical answer was that her visitor was a burglar coming in to steal her valuables and possibly murder her.
A burglar who was getting closer and closer to the living room she currently occupied, their footsteps increasing in volume as did Rarity’s heartbeat. Panic was starting to set in as she realized she didn’t have many means to defend herself with. She had left her geode in her bedroom and she called herself stupid and an idiot and several more unkind things with explicit, un-lady-like language for doing so.
OH THIS IS WHAT I DESERVE FOR DRIVING SUNSET AWAY IF I DIDN’T SHE’D BE HERE TO PROTECT ME RIGHT NOW
Rarity shook her head, no, she could not afford to lose her composure, not during a life or death scenario like this. Regaining some clarity, she eyed her phone laying on the couch cushion next to her and realized oh wait, she could just call 911 and then run like-
“Sup, faggot.” An angelically husky voice Rarity would recognize anywhere whispered in her ear, emphasizing that Forbidden Word like she was sticking a knife in her back.
“S-S-Sunset!?” Rarity stammered, her already rapid heartbeat now pounding so fast she feared it fly out of her chest. This wasn’t real, was it? She was just having another wet dream, obviously, Sunset Shimmer had not actually barged into her house late at night and was not calling her slurs in an incredibly hot way. This was not actually happen-
Her thoughts were cut off as a pair of hands that felt very real roughly unraveled her towel turban, freeing her still damp indigo locks. She could feel Sunset run her fingers through her hair, burying her face in it and taking a big, greedy sniff like it was her personal property. “Mmm.... smells like strawberries, heh, fitting you’d have such a fruity scent.” Sunset chuckled.
There was a sneering tone to Susnet’s voice, a tone Rarity hadn’t heard in a long time and it was as thrilling as it was terrifying.
She felt Sunset let go of her hair, walking around the couch and grabbing the wine bottle off the coffee table to take a huge swig from, giving Rarity a moment to see what Sunset was wearing.
Skinny jeans torn in all the right places.
A band t-shirt with some of the brightest, most gaudiest mix of colors Rarity had ever seen. (And she knew damn well Sunset chose that shirt in particular to incense her)
But what stood out most was her old leather jacket. The very same jacket she used to don when she was the tyrannical queen of Canterlot High. It was clearly worse for wear thanks to their little....scuffle at the Fall Formal a few years ago, but seeing it brought back memories....
Memories of when she made Rarity’s life a living hell. Memories of when Sunset completely humiliated her at the Spring Fling, ruining her reputation with just one embarrassing video she had her goons film in secret which they uploaded for all to see. Memories of running out of the gym in tears while the entire student body laughed and laughed.
Memories of when Sunset found her afterwards sobbing outside the school entrance while she was waiting for her mother to pick her up, coming not to apologize but just so she could rub it in her face that she won the Spring Fling vote. Memories of that damned leather jacket draped over her (admittedly quite lovely) prom dress, paired with the smuggest grin Rarity's ever seen while her Princess of the Spring Fling crown gleamed against the night sky.
Memories of just how infuriatingly hot she looked.
Rarity’s chest grew tight, her face felt warm and she was now acutely aware that she wasn’t wearing a thing underneath her bathrobe as her rapidly hardening nipples poked through and her breasts threatened to spill out.
Sunset suddenly plopped herself on the couch, taking another gulp from her wine bottle while smacking her dirty combat boots onto the cushion, lounging back like a king on the throne. “Hey faggot, why you got your couch on my boots?” She asked with a taunting edge, punctuating the question by pressing the soles into the delicate, expensive cushion fabric.
Normally Rarity would be howling with rage at such a display of uncouth behavior.....but the current situation had left her rather tongue tied. In fact, she found actually thinking anything resembling a coherent thought at the moment rather difficult, so all she could do was weakly sputter what amounted to gibberish. Sunset seemed to find that amusing as that cocky smirk on her face grew even wider.
“Awwww, what’s the matter? Is the sissy scared?” Sunset mocked, inching closer and closer to Rarity until she was well past anything resembling respectful boundaries. It was another one of her classic tactics during her bully days, she had zero respect for anyone’s personal space. It was incredibly effective at giving Sunset a real dominating presence while also throwing her victim off balance and Rarity was no exception.
Almost on instinct she squirmed away from Sunset, who only moved forward in response until there was no couch left for Rarity to escape to and she fell over the arm, landing on the floor in as ungraceful of a manner as possible. The tie of her bathrobe came undone in the commotion, which gave Sunset an excellent front row view of her sizable breasts as they spilled free from their fluffy pink prison, nipples hard enough to poke an eye out.
“Wow, prim and proper Rarity giving me a little titty show, wait until the school hears about this!” Sunset snorted, looking down on the helpless girl with cruel glee as she whipped out her cell phone and took a photo, the flash snapping Rarity out of her daze prompting her to look down at her chest and holler a loud squeal of embarrassment, frantically scrambling back to her feet and hastily retying her bathrobe.
“S-Sunset Shimmer what i-is the meaning of THIS!?” She demanded, having finally regained the ability to speak. Her indignant glare and deep scowl undercut by her face being redder than the wine Sunset was still happily gulping down.
Sunset laughed, though it wasn’t the deep, joyful laugh Rarity always loved to hear. It was of the malicious and humorless sort, the one she used to dole out often when picking on a favorite target during her queen bee era. “Seriously....using my full name? What are you, my mom all of a sudden?”
She slammed the wine bottle back on its coffee table and rose up from the couch, slowly approaching her prey. “As for why I’m doing this Raritits, shouldn’t it be obvious? I’m giving you exactly what you wanted! You wanted the old me right? The me that was a mythic bitch? Well here she is, back and better than ever!”
Rarity stepped back, wide, fearful dark blue eyes meeting Sunset’s aquamarine orbs, which glistened with a dark amusement. She kept moving back in a hurried, panicked pace, almost tripping on her bathrobe several times. Meanwhile Sunset just continued to stride toward her in slow, confident steps, that smug smirk that had no reason whatsoever to be as hot as it was never leaving her face.
The distance between them was closing further and further and Rarity had no idea what to do. Should she try to make a beeline towards the door? It wasn’t that far prehap-
Any developing escape plans ceased as the back of her head met a wall behind her. Ow.
Sunset wasted no time boxing her prey in, slapping two open palms against the wall as she forced Rarity’s back up against it, making sure they were as uncomfortably close as possible.
As Rarity shrunk under her bully’s piercing gaze, she realized just how much taller Sunset was than her, especially since she currently lacked her high heels to even the height gap.
“Finally, I got my faggy girly allllllllll to myself~” Sunset gloated, looking at Rarity like she was dinner and Sunset had skipped lunch that day. The fagged out socialite could only whimper in response, her fear at war with her ever growing arousal and it was uncertain which would emerge the victor.
This exact scenario had played out in Rarity’s dreams so many times: Her pinned to the wall by Sunset in full Evil Bitch Mode, demeaning her in that sultry deep voice of hers with a wicked grin on her face. She should be thrilled that it was now a reality! But she wasn’t, instead of a literal dream come true it felt far more like a nightmare.
Rarity looked at the Sunset in front of her, this rude, mean spirited lout....and found herself wanting her Sunset back. This wasn’t the Sunset Shimmer she fell in love with. She wanted the kind, wonderful, creative, empathetic woman freed from whatever prison this, this demon trapped her in.
Perhaps this was a nightmare, her guilty conscience deciding to teach her a harsh, but necessary lesson in Being Careful What You Wish For. If that was the case, she wished to wake up from it now, to find out she was snoring on her couch the whole time and to immediately call Sunset and apologize for everything, to see if they could salvage what was supposed to be their special weekend together. The sheer guilt of it all made Rarity’s heart ache, not able to hide the tears welling up in her eyes. She braced herself for another snide remark from this Sunset, calling her a crybaby or a whiner, like she did during their encounter at that horrid Spring Fling.
She waited.
And waited.
But nothing was said, if anything, Sunset had suddenly become strangely quiet.
“H-Hey, Rare, are you okay?” A voice asked, and it sounded so unlike the mean girl she’d been hearing. Instead, it was softer, worried. What was going on?
Rarity almost didn’t want to open her eyes, fearing it was yet a cruel bait and switch from Sunset, the kind she loved to pull on her and the other students she used to terrorize to let their guard down before striking. But this voice sounded far more genuine, nothing in common with the overtly sugary sweet tone she would employ when putting on a false front of kindness.
She suddenly felt a warm hand touching her cheek, which forced her eyes open to see Bitch Queen Shimmer was wiping her tears away, her arms no longer trapping Rarity against the wall. The concerned, regretful eyes gazing at her were a far cry from the vicious, predatory look they held prior. “Oh man oh fuck, I went too far, didn’t I?”
Rarity could only stare blankly in disbelief, a part of her still anticipating the metaphorical rug to be pulled out from her at any moment. She didn’t think Sunset was that good of an actress, however......
“Like, for real Rare, do you want me to stop? Cause I can totally stop if this is getting too much.” Sunset explained, taking hold of Rarity’s hand with her own. Her touch was soft and warm, like always.
It was enough to clear the remaining cobwebs in Rarity’s mind as it fully dawned on her what Sunset’s been trying to do this whole time.
The voice, the attitude, the leather jacket......she was legitimately trying to fulfill Rarity’s fantasy. She was putting on this big bully act just to make her happy despite the years of negative baggage that persona carried for her. And now she was dropping the act just to make sure Rarity was alright, that she wasn’t truly hurting her because Sunset, her Sunset couldn’t stand the thought of doing such a thing to her girlfriend.
Sure, the way she handled it might have been on the clunky side but, it didn’t matter. Because Sunset Shimmer well and truly loved Rarity and this was living proof of that. This epiphany caused a fresh wave of tears to roll down Rarity’s face, though these ones were of the much happier variety.
A part of her wanted to just sob in Sunset’s arms right now and thank her profusely, to just spend the rest of the night with the two of them cuddling in her bed as she sunk into Sunset’s strong arms and let the rest of the world melt away until it was just the two of them.
But......a far more mischievous part of her had another idea. Rarity fixed her best defiant glare at her captor.
“Get your filthy hands off me this instant, y-you brute!” She exclaimed, forcing her hands out of Sunset’s, making sure her voice had just the right amount of haughty outrage like a heroine from one of the many romance novels she liked to indulge in.
The look of shock on Sunset’s face made Rarity wonder for a moment if she had committed a grave miscalculation, but then she saw a spark of knowing in those lovely turquoise eyes before they returned to the narrow, cruel look they had just a few minutes ago.
“You don’t get to make the orders here, you spoiled little bitch.” Bitch Queen Shimmer snarled, effortlessly sliding back into character. She grabbed Rarity’s hands again, much rougher this time, their faces mere inches apart.
“Ohhhh, you’re just the worst! What a vile villain you are!” Rarity said with enough conviction to get her nominated for an academy award.
“Oh? I’m the villain, am I?” Sunset smirked, playfully tilting Rarity’s chin, her pretty captive’s lip quivering. “Heh, maybe I am, and any good villain knows to take what’s rightfully hers.....”
“Y-You wouldn’t, how d-dare you mistreat a lady- '' Any further words were cut off by Sunset hungrily pressing her mouth against Rarity’s soft lips as she forced her against the wall.
Rarity let out a few muffled, token protests before she aggressively dug her nails into Sunset’s coat as they kissed passionately, neither of them able to keep the charade up for longer.
Eventually the two moved from the wall to the couch to Rarity’s bedroom, neither of them breaking their kiss as hastily undone pink bathrobes and black leather jackets went flying before Rarity slammed the door to her room shut.
The night had only truly begun and it was going to be a long one for the both of them.
Sunset woke up first.
She groggily checked the clock next to Rarity’s bed: 8 AM. A little later than she liked to get up, but Rarity definitely wore her out last night, her stamina was impressive.
Speaking of which: She looked to see that Rarity was still asleep, snoozing gently, nuzzling up against Sunset like she was one of her favorite throw pillows. Gosh she looked pretty.
Like, obviously, Rarity was always pretty. But seeing her like this, all peaceful, a content smile on her face, her dark purple locks down and tousled made her heart all a flutter.
To be honest she always preferred Rarity’s hair like that over her usual ultra coiffed curls. Just made her seem less......the right word stumped her. Unapproachable? High and mighty? Perfect? Something along those lines, it was just a hot look for her that’s what she was getting at here.
A guilty frown crossed Sunset’s face, bringing Bitch Queen Shimmer back to life last night had the unfortunate side effect of bringing all her memories of just how awful she treated Rarity to the forefront with it. Like, yes she treated everyone around her like shit, but Rarity was one of her favorite targets, second only to Fluttershy really.
And writing Rare off as some self-important rich girl is what let Sunset rationalize her bullying of her. She was obviously a conceited snob who needed to be knocked off her pedestal, like the Canterlot nobles who looked down on her back when she was studying under Princess Celestia. Therefore it was totally morally justifiable to ruin her life!
It was all self-serving bullshit of course, like every excuse Sunset made for her cruelty. Frankly, she was far more of a spoiled brat than Rarity ever was.
Sunset chuckled humorlessly, she didn’t know how Princess Celestia ever put up with some of the tantrums she thr-
Rarity’s stirring (thankfully) prevented her from getting any deeper into her latest Patented Self Loathing Session. A pair of lovely dark sapphire eyes opened, looking at Sunset with nothing but pure love and reminding her-once again-her past was not today.
“Good morning darling!” Rarity exclaimed in that cheerful, sing-songy tone she used when in an exceptionally good mood. She let out an (adorable) little yawn as she stretched, her blanket lowering enough to give Sunset a lovely view of her chest. Neither of them were clothed so they spent the entire night snuggling with their breasts squished against each other and it was one of Sunset’s favorite feelings in the entire world. If she could stay like that forever she would.
“Sleep well babe?” Sunset asked, nuzzling her girlfriend.
“My dear Sunset, I slept wonderfully!” Rarity declared. “You were simply incredible last night!”
Sunset kissed Rarity on the forehead, her smile growing. “You were pretty damn good yourself, I gotta call you a faggot more often.”
That remark caused Rare’s pale cheeks to grow quite rosy, a girlish giggle passing her lips and all Sunset could think was dear fucking Celestia my girlfriend is the cutest damn thing.
“Oh my, even now hearing you call me that gets me so.......so flustered.” Rarity cooed, squirming more than a little beneath her fluffy purple blanket. “I hope it always has that effect on me, it just scratches such a specific itch.”
Sunset wanted to just keep engaging in cute morning flirting with her favorite fag, but, if she didn’t say it now it bug her all day:
“Hey uh, I’m....I’m sorry for reacting the way I did yesterday. It was shitty of me to laugh at you after you were revealing such a vulnerable part of yourself.”
“Sunset Shimmer, you have nothing to apologize for.” Rarity immediately interjected, meeting her girlfriend at eye level with a look of utter seriousness. “To be quite honest it was a severe overreaction on my part. Yes, I may have been bearing my soul to you, but what I was revealing was also deeply silly. I can’t begrudge you for having an honest reaction.” She gave Sunset a kiss on the cheek, wrapping their arms together. “And second: you have more than made up for it last night, you gave the performance of a lifetime! If we were at the theater I’d be giving you a standing ovation and throwing roses at your feet!”
Sunset felt her face grow warm. “Heh.....um, damn, I guess I’ll have to submit a “For Your Consideration” during awards season.” She joked, giving Rarity a few more kisses. “I gotta admit, embodying my old, bitch queen self was.....surprisingly cathartic.”
Rarity raised an eyebrow in intrigue. “How so?”
“For a long time I was scared of my old self, I treated her like a monster in my closet that I had to lock away at all costs.” Sunset gripped her arm just a little bit tighter around her girlfriend’s. “And I did that because I was terrified that one day I’d just.....fuck it all up, fuck up everything I did to mend things between you and the rest of the girl’s and fully go back to the old me.”
Sunset fought the incoming lump in her throat, damnit when did this all get so serious? “So, when you brought up how me treating you like that actually got you off I was just, fucking baffled. Like, why would that? After everything I did to you, after the Spring Fling? But, when I finally stopped half assing it and really gave it my all I found embodying the worst parts of myself legit freeing.”
“Like you were exorcizing your inner demons?” Rarity interjected.
“Exactly that.” Sunset agreed. “To not view Bitch Queen Shimmer as some demon I always had to keep running from, but as something I’ve confronted and conquered. Not that I’m fuckin perfect but.....I can stare that snide little bitch in the face and say “you’re not me” and mean it.”
She felt a hand squeeze her and turned to see Rarity staring at her again with that intense look she always gave when she was about to say something right from the heart. “Sunset Shimmer: as one of your most frequent past victims, I can say with the utmost confidence and authority that you are not the bully you once were.” Every word made Sunset’s heart light up just a little brighter. “The Sunset from before wouldn’t go out of her way to make me happy the way you did last night. The Sunset from before wouldn’t be so scared of hurting me she’d immediately break character just to make sure I was alright. You’ve become so much more than what you were, you’re one of the kindest, bravest, most empathetic people I’ve ever known and someone who I’m beyond happy to call my girlfriend.”
Okay, that fucking did it.
Sunset couldn’t hide the tears as her vision grew blurry, though her smile was wider than ever. “I love you so much, my favorite faggot.” The two of them giggled among the tears as they made out, deciding to spend the rest of their Sunday morning cuddling together.
There was nothing either would want to do more.
Author's Note
This is the first fic I've posted publicly in like, several years lol. But I'm proud of this one and I hope the love I put in it came through.
Said it in the description but gonna repeat THE BIGGEST thank you to my wonderful girlfriend Avery Day for all her help with this and encouraging me to keep going. I hit a pretty bad wall towards the climax and workshopping it with her helped me realize what direction I wanted to take it.
If you read it, regardless of if you liked it or not, thank you. I hope you enjoyed it tho! ![]()
