Centuries before the events of Equestria Girls, magic existed, humans saw those who used it as a danger/abnormal but it did not mean that magic did not exist in that universe, so the question is: Why is there no magic when sunset shimmer arrive? when did it disappear? What about creatures that need magic or ARE made of magic?

What if the real reason we haven't seen a Chaos Spirit in Equestria Girls isn't because there isn't one there, but because it can no longer have a physical manifestation, thanks to the lack of "natural" magic?

What if Equestria Girls' spirit of chaos is slightly different from Equestria's? In this universe it is only the spirit of chaos while the counterpart of the Tree of Harmony is the spirit of order and they are the ones in charge of keeping both Order, Chaos and magic in balance

But what happens when that last one starts to disappear for unknown reasons? What can the spirits do to prevent the magic from disappearing completely?... or is it really disappearing?
