Glint knelt, and Queen Gilda stood, tall and imposing above him, seeming to have grown only larger and more powerful with age and long rule. "My firstborn son," she addressed him. By now, the citizens of the Crystal Empire had grown accustomed to her decidedly informal manner of speaking as she continued, "You've really managed to grow up into quite the impressive griffon man. I'm proud of you. In our homeland of Griffonstone, we would honor you with a traditional manhood ceremony, but here in the Empire, I suppose we'll have to make do with a crown."
