Where does Sunset Shimmer live?
The only chapter
Load Full Story"So what do we do now?" I asked, brushing a strand of rainbow hair out of my eyes. I rolled over on Pinkie's bed and stared at Fluttershy and the others.
"Video games?" Applejack suggested with a grin. "Ah still gotta beat ya at that space battles game."
"Star Wars," I instantly corrected. "And you won't because I'm the greatest at everything."
"Pretty sure Trixie would fight ya for rights to that claim," Applejack announced with a smug smirk. I rolled my eyes at the mention of the girl. She was just as competitive and arrogant as me. She probably has narcissistic personality disorder. Oh no, I'm becoming an egghead! I entirely blame Twilight and Sunset for me knowing what that even means. Speaking of Sunset....
"Hey, where's Sunset?" I asked suddenly, looking around.
"Bathroom last I checked," Fluttershy mumbled. I raised an eyebrow.
"With Pinkie?" We all knew the two were dating but it was weird for them to use the bathroom together, even for Pinkie.
"Maybe she's sampling Pinkie's pie?" Applejack suggested and I snickered. Fluttershy let out an eep and hid her face behind her hair, cheeks bright red. Rarity glared at us.
"Applejack! Do not be so crude," she chided. "And you too, Rainbow."
"What did I do? I just laughed!" I retorted.
"Laughing encourages her behavior darling." I rolled my eyes at that. Rarity was such a buzzkill some days.
"Even if they were engaging in sexual intercourse, we would most likely hear some form of sound," Twilight piped in, fixing her glasses. "Moans or something like that. Typically how it goes for people who are virgins." We all stared at her with raised eyebrows.
"How do you know they're virgins?" I asked.
"Pinkie let it slip one day," she admitted.
"And the knowledge about the noises?" I prodded. Twilight turned slightly red and looked away.
"Research," she said simply. I looked at Applejack and she rolled her eyes with a smile. I focused back in Twilight.
"Researching with Timber?" I asked with a grin and Twilight spit out her tea she had just sipped all over Rarity.
"I'm so sorry Rarity!" Twilight exclaimed, already pulling a towel out of her backpack. That girl literally thinks of everything. She always carries a towel around for and I quote, "towel emergencies". Honestly sounds like something Pinkie would do.
"It's quite all right dear," Rarity reassured her.
"And no, it's not with Timber. I decided I wasnt all that into him," Twilight answered as she shoved the towel back into her bag. "Videos that Sugarcoat suggested I watch. Mainly masturbation, but some are intercourse. Purely for science purposes." I snickered at that.
"If you say so," I teased. "It's okay to watch porn. We all do, even Rarity did freshman year."
"Because you didn't tell me what I was watching!" Rarity shouted, turning red. "You just shoved a phone in my face and clicked play!" I waved a hand dismissively.
"Details aren't important. You still watched it." Pinkie bounced into the room eagerly.
"What are we talking about?" She asked as she stole Applejacks water.
"Rarity's obsession with porn," I decided to tease her some more. Pinkie nodded feverishly.
"Oh okay! It's okay Rarity, we all have our obsessions!" She patted Rarity on the head consolingly.
"I am not obsessed!" I ignored Rarity's outburst and stared at Pinkie.
"Hey Pinkie, where does Sunset live?" I asked and she shrugged.
"Dunno!" I raised an eyebrow at that.
"She's your girlfriend. How do you not know?" I questioned.
"She's never let me come over!"
"Now that ya mention it, ah've never been there either," Applejack piped in, stealing her water back from Pinkie who instantly pouted. I rolled my eyes and tossed her my full bottle of water.
"Me neither," Fluttershy and Rarity agreed. At least Rarity wasn't so mad anymore. I tapped my finger on my chin in thought. I stared at Sunset who walked in a few minutes later.
"Hey Sunset?" I asked. She squeezed her self in between Rarity and Pinkie and sat down on the floor, picking up a Xbox controller.
"Where do you live?" The other girls stared at her expectantly. She sighed and stared at me.
"Private information," she said simply. That wasn't even close enough to satisfy me.
"That tells us literally nothing," Twilight pointed out.
"And I won't be telling you. It's not your business," Sunset replied.
"Not even me?" Pinkie asked with puppy dog eyes. Sunset gave her a kiss and I gagged dramatically.
"Sorry love but not even you." I sighed at that.
"Okay. We won't push," I promised. That was a complete lie of course. If she wasn't gonna tell us, we would have to find out other ways.
"So Flash," I asked the guy we encircled in the hallway. It was almost the end of the school day till the week end and this was the only time we could ask him. "Do you know where Sunset lives?"
"I have no clue," he replied nervously.
"How the hell do you not know?" I demanded. "You dated her!"
"Well yeah but she never let me come over. She always came to my house," he answered.
"Sorry I'm late darlings!' Rarity called out and I stared at her in confusion.
"What on earth are you wearing?" She was wearing what I could describe as something a fifties era detective would wear, hat and all. Lyra and Bon Bon walked past us, snickering at Rarity.
"A detective costume. Inspired by Shadow Spades recent novella!"
"Jesus kill me now," I mumbled.
"I would love to stay and talk, but can I go?" Flash asked, pointing at a girl standing behind us. "Me and Derpy have a date." Derpy gave us a shy smile and a wave. I waved back.
"Yeah sure. Go have fun," I stepped aside and he walked away. "Don't hurt her or I hurt you." Me and Derpy had known each other since middle school.
"I won't," he promised as Derpy gave him a hug. I was a tad jealous, she gave the best hugs.
"There's Sunset!" Pinkie announced excitedly. She gave a wave and Sunset half heartedly returned it, walking out the doors.
"What's up with her?" I asked. "Thought she would come over here."
"She's going home. Had a bad migraine all day," Fluttershy explained. I grinned at that.
"We follow her home and then we can see where she lives," I kept grinning. This was gonna be easy.
"Let's do it!" Pinkie cheered, wearing a black ninja suit that gripped her curves well. She was just wearing her dress a second ago. I stared at her in confusion.
"When did you.... know what, I'm not even gonna ask," I mumbled. "I swear, me Fluttershy and Applejack are the only sane ones here."
"I think I should be concerned about how well you know to follow someone," Rarity commented. Fluttershy shrugged as she made sure to stay a few car lengths away as Sunset kept walking.
"It's a skill I picked up from chasing animal abusers," she admitted.
"I take back what I said," I sighed. "Only me and Applejack are sane here." We followed Sunset till we got to the rundown abandoned part of town. Mostly old buildings that no one used.
"Where is she going?" Rarity asked the question on all our minds. Fluttershy parked behind a car as Sunset looked behind her and slipped inside a small abandoned house.
"Time to find out," I said confidently as we got out of the car and carefully walked up to the house.
"Alright, we should go in there quietly. Element of surprise," Applejack quietly told us. I rolled my eyes and stepped forward, pounding on the door.
"Sunset Shimmer! We know you're in there! Come out now!" I shouted and Applejack yanked me back.
"What are ya, the god damn Gestapo?" She hissed in my ear.
"The whatto?" I asked her. Twilight sighed.
"I'll tell you later," she whispered in my other ear as the door slowly opened.
"Uhm what are you all doing here?" Sunset nervously asked.
"What are we doing here? What are you doing here?" I demanded.
"I couldn't keep this hidden forever I suppose," she sighed and opened the door. "Come on in." We followed her in and I looked around the falling apart house. There was a massive hole in the ceiling and a dripping sound in the corner. A worn out mattress was on the floor and a skirt was tossed half heartedly on the floor. I got a sinking feeling in my stomach.
"What is this place, Sunny?" Pinkie hesitantly asked. Sunset sighed.
"Home," she said simply. We gawked at her in shock.
"Whaddaya mean, home?" Applejack asked.
"I mean I've lived here since I got here," Sunset explained.
"But why?" I asked her nervously.
"I had no where else to go. I spent the few bits I had on food when I first came from Equestria. I knew no one and trusted no one. So I found this house one day and slept here. Over time, I added to it and here we are," Sunset slumped against her mattress.
"Why didn't you ask us for help?" Pinke asked sadly as her hair deflated.
"Because I deserve this. For all I did. Here and in Equestria. For what I did to you all," Sunset explained. "And I didn't think I deserved your guys help after the Fall Formal."
"That is the stupidest thing Ah ever heard," Applejack announced and I nodded my agreement. I probably should have realized Sunset wore the same thing over and over. This is partially our fault for not knowing.
"Well darling, you simply can not stay here. It's unsafe," Rarity declared as she looked around in disgust. "And quit frankly, a mess."
"You can stay with me!" Pinkie eagerly shouted as her hair poofed back up.
"I can't get out of this, can I?" Sunset sighed.
"No!" We shouted. Sunset groaned.
"Fine."
--------------------‐----------------------------------------
We all stood in the living room of an apartment we were looking at. It was the fourth one today. Pinkie was bouncing around excitedly. It was hard for her to keep the reason we were here a secret but she was doing a good job so far. Sunset stroked the wood paneling.
"This is really nice," she looked at me and smiled. "You should pick this apartment, Dash."
"Thanks again for helping me look for an apartment you all," I smiled at all my friends mischievously. "I like the wood and all the space in this living room. The kitchen is good too." The kitchen was connected to the living room and was very spacious. We walked into the bedroom.
"Holy shit!" Sunset said in awe. "Look at the size of this concert hall!" It was a medium sized room and my heart hurt with sympathy. She sounded legitimately serious at how big the room was. My current room was bigger. I stepped into the connected bathroom and stared in awe. It was nice. I was surprised this apartment was only a thousand a month with the area it was in.
"God damn!" Sunset exclaimed. "Look at the size of the shower, you and Applejack could have some fun in here!" She gave us a wink and our faces turned bright red.
"Ah'll pass," Applejack smirked. "Ah prefer the bed for a good roll in the hay."
"Thanks for the info," Rarity said dryly.
"Do you like it, Sunny!?" Pinkie shouted as
she hugged Sunset's waist.
"Yeah," she admitted softly. "Rainbow is gonna have a great time here in this apartment." I caught her giving a sad look around the room. I took a deep breath.
"We have a confession," I admitted. "We aren't here looking at apartments for me."
"Then why the hell are we here?" Sunset demanded. I took another breath and pulled a key out of my pocket.
"Because we're here looking for apartments for you," I made eye contact and smiled at her.
"W-what?" Sunset stammered. I pressed the key into her shaking hand and closed her fist around it gently.
"You can't live in that house dear," Rarity explained softly. "We all pitched in and the Cakes agreed to help pay the monthly fee."
"No. You guys can't do this," Sunset shook her head rapidly as she tried to give me the key back.
"It's already done," I grinned. "We knew you would like this one the best and already paid. It's yours." She stared at us in shock and hugged me.
"I don't know what to say," she sniffled into my neck and I patted her back as our friends joined in on the hug.
"You don't have to say anything," Fluttershy whispered. "We love you."
"I love you all," Sunset smiled at us.
It was Sunset's turn for hosting a sleep over. She was cuddling Pinkie happily in her bed and we were getting in our sleeping bags and I glanced at Rarity. She was doing her stupidly long process of getting ready for sleep. I suddenly remembered something and I grinned wickedly.
"Hey Rarity, I got a quick question," I spoke up.
"Yes darling?" She looked up as she fluffed her pillow.
"What's your favorite category of porn?"
She threw the pillow at me.
