Summer with Lyra and Bon-Bon

Haha! Today is the day that I start my vacation! I can't wait for it. My friend's sister moved there right before Nightmare Moon returned. She even helped defeat her and bring Princess Luna back. Can you believe it? I sure as hell can't. Anyways, the journey to Ponyville will be a long one. I gotta keep my head level when flying. Or, I could end up like Ditzy, and nopony wants that. I do hope that Rainbow Dash will let me stay at her place. She's supposed to be meeting me at some place called Sugercube Corner. She also said to stay away from a completely pink mare. Whatever that's supposed to mean. I just hope that I arrive there fairly fast. If I don't I could miss the summer party that is supposed to be the best in Equestria. I highly doubt that. But, when Rainbow Dash says that, you've got to at least go to it. Otherwise she's '20% cooler' than you' by her standards. I should really go. I need to get an early start tomorrow morning if I want to make it there before nightfall.

Wow, I haven't written in this journal for awhile. Well, I made it to Ponyville. Just not the way I had expected. I crashed into a tree that popped up in the middle of the street. The middle of the street! One second it wasn't there the next 'POOF!'. Tree in yo' face! I was rushed to the hospital with two broken wings. That was the worst thing that could happen to me at this time. I can't fly back to Cloudsdale now. I'm stuck on the ground for the rest of the summer. I also have absolutely nowhere to stay. I'm just glad i'm still in the hospital for now. I heard from Rainbow Dash that all the inns here are full. I didn't think that Ponyville would get so much attention. Guess I was wrong. I gotta go, Nurse Red Heart just walked in. Gotta take my meds. They're to ease the pain in my wings. Well, at least it tries to ease my pain. Doesn't to much of a good job. Personally, I think that Red Heart has it in for me. Ever since I told her that I make music, she's been looking at me strangely. I really hope she's not another crazed fan girl. She's actually pretty cute.

Today I was released from the hospital. When I remembered that I have nowhere to stay. I started checking all of the inn's around town. Like Rainbow Dash said, all full. I am starting to get tired from seeing all of these 'No Vacancy' signs lit up. Hold on, two mares are approaching me. Dear Celestia, please let them be normal mares and not fan mares. I can't take another Red Heart incident. That was a nightmare. They seem normal enough. Maybe I should stop writing, they're starting to stare at me like i'm some crazy hobo. Either that or they just noticed my casts. Either way i'm pretty sure they want to talk to me. About what? Not sure.

You would not believe what happened with those two mares I had met. Well, I suppose that I should start referring them with their names and not call them 'those two mares'. Well, Lyra and Bon-Bon, the two mares, took me in and gave me a place to stay for the rest of the summer. Or however long my wings take to heal. Which probably is the rest of the summer. I'm thinking about writing only after regular intervals. Like say five days. Tops. They're the nicest mares I have ever met from Ponyville. I also know where the tree had come from. Fluttershy. Apparently she was hiding from Rainbow Dash so she didn't have to go to a meeting. She thought I was her and hid in a 'tree'. The thing is, I didn't see it there before. She must have just put it on. Or i'm just blind as a bat. She did apologize, but I still think that she should've moved to the side of the road. It would have been less obvious if she did. I mean, who grows a tree in the middle of the street? I would've expected the Apple family to do that. If they were that stupid. Buck, Apple Jack somehow sensed I wrote that and now she's trying to get to me. I really wish I could fly so I could get out of here. But, even if I could, I wouldn't. Until I said goodbye to Lyra and Bon-Bon. They have become good friends to me. If it weren't for them, I would probably be eating this book out on the street by now. I have a check-up tomorrow. I really hope that my wings aren't healed.
June 21
Okay, after three days of non-stop bucking. Apple Jack finally gave up on trying to break in. I suppose I shouldn't call it an attempted break-in. Then after that Lyra and Bon-Bon scolded me for writing that the Apple family was stupid. They scolded me. I'm a grown stallion. I can take care of myself. Shut up. They offered to take me in, in the first place. I didn't really have much of a choice. It was either live in the streets for two months or live with Lyra and Bon-Bon. I chose Lyra and Bon-Bon. Turns out Lyra finally noticed my Cutie Mark. A harp. Hers is a Lyre. She also performs music along with two other pony's in town. Their names are Octavia and Vinyl Scratch A.K.A. DJ-PON3. I've heard about them. Some good things and some bad things. But, mostly good. I haven't met them yet. The reason is because i've been sick for the past few days so I haven't been able to get outside much. Really wish I could though. I love the weather here in Ponyville. I thought about moving here a few days ago. But, I decided against it. I don't think I could make it in a town like this. It's also too small for my liking. It's like Rainbow Dash says about sappy stuff 'I have a reputation to keep up.'. Which I do have a reputation to keep up. Well, not right now. But, after I finish this song I have been working on I will have one to keep up.
June 30
He he, decided to wait a few days to write again. I stopped because I saw something I don't think I should've seen. Lyra and Bon-Bon making out. I sniffed the air and I couldn't smell any alcohol in it. They saw me and blushed. Not because I found out that they were. Ugh, I can't even say that word. Let alone write it. You know what i mean. Well, they blushed because my wings were stretched out as far as they could go. As Rainbow Dash calls it 'Wing Boner'. Funny thing is, once I noticed this I cried out in pain. They weren't supposed to be able to stretch until next August. Looks like they couldn't wait. I had blacked out from all the pain. When I awoke, Lyra and Bon-Bon were standing over me. They explained everthing to me. I am starting to wish they hadn't.
July 10
Finally, i'm able to go outside again. They kept me inside for awhile just to be sure I didn't tell anypony about their secret. I swore I wouldn't. They said that they wouldn't trust me until I 'Pinkie Pie Promised'. What ever that is. I am still not going outisde though. This is because I nearly poked my eye out saying 'I cross my heart and hope to fly, stick a cupcake in my eye.'. I was dumb and didn't close my eye. It's so swollen that it's taking a long time just to write this. I think it's almost time for me to leave back to Cloudsdale. I haven't told them yet, I really don't want to. It's just so peaceful here in Ponyville. I would hate to leave it. Sadly, I don't really have much of a choice. I haven't really had time to socialize with them. I haven't even told them about the song that i'm writing. Which is about them. They'll find out eventually. I plan on leaving them a CD after I leave. Going to record it in Vinyl Scratch's Studio. Yeah, that's right. I finally met them. Thanks to Lyra. She introduced me to her and Octavia. Who is related to the pink mare that freaks me out whenever I see her. I think her name is Pinkie Pie. But, Octavia doesn't act anything like her. Not one bit.
July 24
Wow, I really have been busy with the song. That's the reason why I haven't been able to write in such a long time. I told Octavia and Vinyl about my plan. They asked if they could hear the song. So, I told them if they provided the instruments then I could sing it for them. They agreed. Even though it looked like they didn't want to provide the instruments for it. After the song they didn't say anything. Then I realized my mistake. One part of the song mentions the fact that Lyra and Bon-Bon are a couple. I made them 'Pinkie Pie Promise' not to tell anypony. They told me that everypony in Ponyville already knew that they were a couple. I couldn't believe what I was hearing. Lyra and Bon-Bon, my friends, played a prank on me. They pranked me. I didn't even realize it until now. But, when they made me 'Pinkie Pie Promise' not to tell anypony that they were a couple, they were chuckling and giggling. I shoudl've realized it. Guess I was too pre-occupied to notice.
July 31
Well, today's my last day in Ponyville. After I leave their house I am going to get my bandages taken off. I will finally be able to fly back to Cloudsdale. Even though I really don't want to. I just wish that there was someway for me to stay here in Ponyville. I've made so many friends here. Actually, now that I think about it. I've only met four pony's that have become my friends. Lyra, Bon-Bon, Octavia, and Vinyl. And all of them have a skill in music. Vinyl is a DJ, Octavia plays the chello, Lyra has her Lyre. The only one who doesn't have a talent in music is Bon-Bon. I think she makes candy. Not to sure. I've already recorded the CD with my song about them on it. I hope they listen to it once I leave. I have to leave pretty soon. The sun is setting and I sould start moving. I'll leave the CD along with a note on the coffee table in the living room. They won't know I left until they come back from the store. At least I don't have to worry about that. I could just imagine them breaking down in tears seeing me leave. Throughout my entire time here in Ponyville living with them I have noticed one fact about them both. They are very sensitive. That's one of teh things I like about them. Which makes it harder for me to leave them like this. Wow, it's seven o' clock. Guess that it's my time to leave. I should write the note first though.

"Jack! We're back!" Lyra called from the doorway.No answer. "Jack!? Hey, Bon-Bon. Do you know where Jack is?"
"Yes, I do know where he is." Bon-Bon replied sniffling.
"Bon-Bon? What's the matter? Why are you crying?" Lyra asked hugging her marefriend.
"He...he left. Read the note in the living room." Bon-Bon said tears openly flowing down her cheeks. Lyra walked into the living room and spotted the note on the table and walked up to it.
'Dear Lyra and Bon-Bon,
I am very sorry to say this. But, I have to leave back to Cloudsdale. My wings are finally healed completely and I am scheduled to go back there this evening. I know as much as you know that nopony wants me to leave. I don't even want to leave. But don't worry, I can always come and visit whenever I can. I also know that you played a prank on me after I caught you guys making out. Should've seen it sooner. Anyways the time spent with you girls has been the best ever. I made four new friends this summer. More than I have ever made in a two month time period. After you're done reading this put the CD into the CD player. I made it especially for you two. Don't worry i'll be fine. I Pinkie Pie Promise not to run into any trees on my way back.

Lyra wiped the tears from her eyes and called Bon-Bon over while she pushed the CD into the CD player and clicked the song title..Summer-Lyra and Bon-Bon started playing.
