Alex looked at the woman and replied, "I am. Could you please take a seat while I finish homework." The woman sat in one of the chairs. She looked about the room, noticing the decor. "This place reminds me of Traveler's Redoute." She said, "Sadly it no longer stands thank to the Nazis." The young man nodded as he finished writing on a paper and slid into an envelope. The woman looked at Alex as he pulled a thick book which Alex opened and began to read and would periodically write in it. The woman watched, curious as she asked, "May I inquire what you are doing?"

"Clan business." He replied and closed the book, he then looked at his unplanned guest. "If you mind my asking Ma-am but who are you?"

The woman smiled and said in response, "I am Professor McGonagall and I was about to give this to an owl when I found myself here." Alex nodded and said, "I'm Alexandre Viator. The current head of the ancient and honorable Lord of House Viator. And welcome to Traveler's Rest." McGonagall raised an eyebrow before aying, aren't you a little young to be the lord of the house?" Alex nods. "True. But death doesn't care about age so the moment my father died I became the lord".

McGonagall's face took on a saddened look. "I'm sorry for you." She said. "When did it happen?" Alex went silent for a couple minutes before saying. "Mom tells me he went to a place called Godric's Hollow to aid Jim Potter and never came back. Dad's portrait started to move the moment he died." The Deputy Headmistress of Hogwarts looked at young Alex in shock then looked at the portrait of a young man dressed like an adventurer from one of the dime store novels that were popular in the early twentieth century.

"He was there when He-who-must-not-be-named came to kill Harry Potter." She asked.

"My Theo did go there to help his friend and in doing so insured young Potter survived." Both looked up to see a woman with bronze skin & hair dressed in khaki trousers & shirt and wearing a black belt. She held out her hand, "Patricia Viator nee Savage great-great granddaughter of Clark Savage Jr. my cousin Clark Savage V happens to be an arour in England and is the spitting image of our Great-Great Grandfather." She said in greeting. "Please accept our apologies for your unintentional kidnapping. Also Alex will attend Hogwarts."

Alex looked up in shock. "Mom!" He called out. "No Viator has attended Hogwarts since The Objection." Patricia nodded. "Clark's description of the Wizarding Blood War tells me we have to intervene to insure Moldywart stays down." Alex sank in his seat. Patricia then walked over to a bookshelf, took a book off and handed it to Alex and said, "Pappy's full excessive routine and the complete guide to somatic gestures is in that book."

McGonagall took the time mother and son were talking to look about the room. She noted a number of books that were magical tomes that surprised her. "You have an impressive collection of magical tomes. "I'm surprised at the number of them." Alex nodded then, motioned for the professor to follow him. Not seeing any reason not to, she followed him. They left the room which was, as it turned out to be, the Library and went down a hallway to a door. As she walked into the room she noticed that it was obviously Alex's bedroom. There was a bed, bedside table, a desk with a device of some kind.

As she watched, Alex opened a chest and tossed some clothes, belts, shoes and a cloak. He then went to the desk and pulled out a key, then he went to his closet and pulled out a backpack made of handcrafted leather and closed the door. "Mr Viator." She said. "I are you familiar with magic?" Alex looked at her then nodded as he pulled out his key. McGonagall watched as he slid it into a second keyhole and twisted it. She watched as he opened the door into a cavernous room piled high with coins of gold, silver, copper & platinum. Alex stepped in and motioned for her to join him. Stunned she stepped in, once she was in Alex summoned the key to him then closed the door. Alex then walked deeper in to the vault. McGonagall marveled at the amount of wealth on display. Her mind boggled as she realized that the tales of the Viator fortune stating it was uncountable were probably true. She got further shock when saw Wizarding money mixed in.

"Where is this Vault located?" She asked. She was shocked when he answered, under Gringotts, Diagon Alley." When they arrived at a Gringots vault door, Alex stated, "I'm not certain but during when they were setting up that branch, they broke into the vault. The clan head was there putting something in. Long story short the dispute end with the goblins loosing all rights to the caverns and having to pay rent to the clan and guarding the family vault in exchange for a rent consisting of one percent of their total profit plus ninety percent of any fines collected since the last time the clanhead was there. It's been a long time since any clan head (or family member) has been inside and I hope they aren't upset for the loss …" his voice trailed off when opened the vault to a goblin who said in his native tongue "" they were then hustled out of the vault then surrounded by guards as the goblins wheelbarrow loads of Wizarding money and artifacts including the contents of several vaults seized by the goblins.

Looking back Professor McGonagall Alex said, "I was hoping we could've snuck out before they cornered us, but it seems they set up some alarm to alert of the arrival of a clan head. I apologize for the delay." After bout two hours the goblins had left after handing a ledger and a Gringots wallet to Alex. After blooding it they left Gringotts by the front door. Alex sighed as they entered the Leaky Caldron for lunch. "I'll see you tomorrow to pick my school suplies." He said.

I'm sorry about the story not opening up with Harry but I had to establish Alex in the HP Universe. Please review. Flames will be used to make s'mores. Constructive criticism and reviews will recharge my reactors

Tom looked up from his bar as McGonagall and a boy dressed in muggle attire walked in from Diagon Alley, he frowned as he couldn't recall watching them enter. "Hello." He said amicably. "Enjoy the Alley?" The boy smiled, saying, "So far. Now I would like a room until September first." Tom taken a back by the boy's request and asked, "you sure you afford it lad?" McGonagall spoke up saying, "I assure you Tom, young Mr Viator can." Tom nodded and wiped the bar down. McGonagall then wall to the fireplace and flooed herself back to Hogwarts.

Alex closed the door and went to the table and opened the ledger the goblins had given him. On the first two pages were two messages to him or more likely the family head whoever made the first visit to Gringotts. I first message read, "In accordance with the agreement made in the Rite of Ownership the rent agreed upon has been (or in the process of being) transferred. Second as the Overseer has given you the job of Vault Master giving final say on who has access to their Vault. You may also bar Items from the vault and have any banned items confiscated and placed in a holding vault. The disposition of said items is left to you discretion. You may also demand any loans to be payed in full.

May the roads you travel be safe & You vaults overflow with the gold of your enemies. Overseer of Gringotts.

The second read, "Vault Master, the wizards have done something foolish. "

Alex sighed. That second message was referring to the events of the Objection. He shook his head then went over the ledger. "Hmm." Alex mused. "All but two of the Wizarding Families that were enemies of the clan have died off. That's odd. I guess I'll ask Professor McGonagall when she comes to help me shop. Ugh. It seems the Malformed family survived damn to luck, worse they're richer bet they plundered the minor vault under Traveler's Redoute. The Notts though they took out a loan from the clan. Hmm. Not was influential before The Objection maybe the Notts could help me get on the wizengomet in exchange for clearing the debt."

Two days later, professor McGonagall walked into Alex's rented room. She took a seat and said, "Mr Viator. You seen to have knowledge that magic exists. I would like to know how you came about that knowledge." Alex nodded then said, "My family has known magic was real for 15,000 years or 750 generations."

McGonagall looked on in shock at the revelation. "How is this possible recorded history that only goes back 6000 years?" Alex sighs. "My clan hadn't grown as big as it is now when the great Library of Alexandria was destroyed. Tonnes of knowledge was destroyed, Including history. My family had kept their own copies of history so we have knowledge on things that the rest of humanity has been rediscovering once knowledge was allowed to flourish again."

Alex sighed before continuing, " 1689 The Objection happened. Because of weak blood idiots who wrongly believed they were superior to members of the tech tribe…"

"Tech tribe?" The Professor asked. Alex nodded. "Nomajes to Americans, and Muggles to the rest of the world." He clarified. "As I was saying, Because of weak blood idiots who wrongly believed they were superior to the tech tribe and their doing what they pleased the muggles started doing the infamous witch hunts in 1689 AD the Statute of Wizarding Secrecy was penned. The clan head at the time inquired about a time and if steps would be taken for the Arcane tribe to rejoin their brothers. When he was told none for both he walked out of the gathering which later morphed into the Wizengamot. To this day the clan observed the Statute while working behind the scenes to make magic more acceptable to the tech tribe with was made easier when Issac Asimov published, 'Any technology sufficiently advanced is indistinguishable from magic.'" Alex poured himself a glass of orange juice and took a drink. McGonagall puzzled through what Alex said and asked, "Who're the weak bloods you mentioned?"

Alex finished his Orange juice and replied, "Purebloods." He then got up and asked "Shall we go shopping?"

Their next stop was Madam Malkin's Robes for all Occasions. When they entered the shop it's proprietor walked up to them and asked, "Shall I make you your school robes, dearie?" Alex shook his head. "No, I'm afraid." He said. "Instead I have a challenge for you. I'd like a set of cloaks made to be indistinguishable to robes at a quick or casual glance yet can be removed quickly should the situation need. I'll pay you triple the cost for a set of school robes." Madam Malkin hurried off to make the custom order. Professor McGonagall looked at him and asked, "Why'd you make that order? Wouldn't it be cheaper just to get a set of robes?" Alex shook his head before replying, "Robes are too cumbersome. If you need to move out of the way of a hostile spell, get out of the way of an out of control wagon, or a charging beast intent on making you it's next meal, a robe could tangle you up or trip you. A cloak on the other hand you can cast off or use as a defense, a cloak wrapped around your arm can shield you from death spells, even the dreaded Adava Kadava." McGonagall's eyes widened, "It's impossible to survive that unforgivable curse." Alex chuckled, "The belief of both the target & caster in addition to the ambient magic in the area are what empower spells. An object can't believe in anything, or non familiar animal who can't comprehend its environment will always be affected. While familiar, and any sentient race it's a test on the strength of belief. The side whose belief is stronger wins. If the cast's belief is stronger the spell goes off like she planned. If the target's belief is stronger then the hostile spell will either fail or have a lesser effect. For example a spell that either launches fire or lightning will only do half expected damage. I was taught that hostile magic wasn't guaranteed to work on people." Alex finished talking to Professor McGonagall when Madam Malkin returned to give Alex his cloaks and said, "There you go dear. Three cloaks that resemble robes unless you look closely. Here's your receipt. He touched his key to the receipt and the register rang. "Next stop, the book store." He stated.

The next shop was Flourish & Blotts. As they were walking up a pale blonde headed boy tried to force his way past. Alex swept his arm and pushed the boy behind him. Even though the boy resisted he was pushed back. He bristled and said, "You DARE?!" He said in anger and surprise. "Do you know who I am?" Alex looked at him carefully then said, "A scion of House Malformed, one of the weak blood houses." A tall person dressed like a Victorian gentleman harshly replied, "That's Malfoy whelp. You should address your elders and betters with respect." Alex glared at the wizard, "Coming from a guy that dresses like it's 19th century I say I am. Until House Malformed marries magicless, mageborn, or half bloods it's magic will grow weaker until their magic is too weak to activate a wand." The wizard gets red with rage and starts to pull his wand when Alex casts, "HOLD" the wizard freezes, finding himself unable to move. The youngster looked at his father, then at Alex and asked, "My what did you do to my father?!"

Alex just ignored him and went in. Later at the Leaky Caldron Professor McGonagall watched as Alex packed his backpack, her eyes widening as Alex put all his purchases into it. Alex noted her look and said, "Adventurer's Backpack of Holding, has five compartments. Two that hold enough for a trunk, two that have the capacity of a small suitcase & one with the capacity of a large suitcase. Comes in handy, especially as it doesn't use extra-dimensional spaces, but expanded spaces." He then placed his shrunken trunk in one of the small pockets. Professor McGonagall looked at Alex and said, "I see you know wandless magic for I saw cast a spell without using a wand. You must have a high potential." Alex nodded before saying, "That's what Vartarcar tells me." Minerva looked at Alex in puzzlement then said, "who is Vartarcar? That name doesn't sound like it belongs to a human." "It doesn't." Alex responded, "Vartarcar is a dark elf." Professor McGonagall sat in a chair behind her in surprise at Alex's how easily admitted he had a non-human teacher. "Mister Viator I am surprised you know of elves." Alex nodded. "Being part of an adventuring family has it's perks. Also Var is comming with me to tutor me in Defense Against Magics or as you call it Defense Against the Dark Arts. That's non negotiable." Professor McGonagall nodded. "Then I shall bid you farewell." With that the Professor left. Alex used the magical key to his vault to gain access to it, and placed the ledger on a table next to the door then left and shut the door. He then walked down into the Leaky Caldron and sat at a booth. When a young witch walked up to him he said, "I'll have the..umph!"

The girl was confused, just 2 minutes ago she'd been drowning after a massive tidal wave smashed into her and her family and now here she was standing in a British pub holding a backpack full of exotic items. Her training kicked in and she looked for a secluded place out of the way glad to not be able to smell antiseptic but the area was still causing her hackles to raise. Sitting in the farthest corner from the entrance at a rather small table she observed the room. "Too many people here and all of it is weirding me out. None of these people are Erasers but they're outfits just do not fit with anything I know." She thought to herself as she opened her backpack seeing a few recognizable items, a good knife, some camping supplies, a bag of dried jerky and a portable fire starter stick, what she didn't recognize was the thing that made the backpack heavy a cloth bag tied shut with a red cord and a letter which was laying next to the bag.

Alex watches the girl as she looks around the Leaky. He notices the Hogwarts letter laying in a backpack and the way she looks lost. Making a decision he said, "Hello? My na.." Adventuring reflexes from a lifetime of training had him knocking her attack to one side and disarming her. His being only eleven had knocked the weapon to the ground rather than ending up in his hand. "Now that's not a way to treat someone who is just trying to introduce himself." He chided.

'He wants to help you.' the girl heard in her head as her knife landed on the ground. Angel if that is you or if it's Dad leave me alone after what both of you did I don't need your crap anymore! She responded knowing that it was psychic communication after all this time made her annoyed.

'I am neither Angel nor your father, those two were the sources of my presence in your old world and this one I am something completely different who will reveal themselves in time I promise' The Voice said, being far more direct with its answers then any of the other two who had used it in her presence. No one noticed that a person in a hooded black cloak seemed to be focusing on the two in their confrontation.

"Kid I don't know what's going on but I have been through some shit." The girl said before looking surprised at her own voice. "Great I sound like I was when I was 11." She muttered "I've been on the run for most of my life so you approaching me like that caused me to reflexively attack, leave me alone for now I need to get my bearings."

"No." Alex sternly replied. "You're in need of help and I am going to help you. I pledge the resources of the Viator clan to shield & protect you. As well eliminating your hunters. As I have said, So mote it be." The mystical pulse that ripples outward had everyone in the pub look towards the pair. The bar keep then said, "Young lady, you might as well accept that lad's help. That pulse you felt was magic accepting his oath. His Family is known for the strength of it's magic"

Alex then held out his hand to her. “It alas looks like you’ve been isekaied.” He then pulled out

"Fuck you all! Magic doesn't exist! I'm out of here!" The girl said as she ran towards the entrance and the hooded figure following her, the girl's knife that was on the floor was somehow picked up by the cloaked figure as it passed over it.

"Is that so?" Remarked Alex. "Hold." The girl froze in mid stride. Alex could see her muscles quiver as she tried to will them to move. He walked in front of her then said. "As you can see magic exists from the fact I just froze you in place without using clear odorless gas or dart coated with paralyzing poison. Now are you going to be reasonable or are we going to just stand around for about seven minutes and observe the goings on." The girl looked around with her eyes and noticed that several had what appeared to be sticks in their hands. Unsure of what would've happened, she surprised herself by nodding and got another surprise when her limbs unfreeze. "Further proof that magic exists." He said. Looking at a clock he added. "It's lunchtime care to join me in filling our bellies?"

As soon as she was free the girl punched Alex in the face and ran out of the leaky cauldron. Hagrid, who'd been drinking at the bar, remarked on this. "Kid, you done messed up, she was already freaking out and if you didn't notice she has a pair of wings. Using magic on a muggle born especially as an underage wizard is not a thing to be happy about." At this response Alex felt himself Stupefied as multiple wizarding policemen appeared around him. "And that's why."

"Young man you are under arrest for breaking the underage wizarding act even in the wizarding areas you are not allowed to use magic before you turn 17." An older woman said that as she showed her badge. "You used your magic on Lucius Malfoy earlier and on that young woman a few moments ago. Sorry to say but you will be confined to Diagon Alley jail until you are released to go to Hogwarts."

Out of the corner of his eye Alex could see Lucius Malfoy behind the group sneering at him.

Alex shook off the stunners and smiled and said, "Actually miss bones" the woman that looks surprised that this Foreigner recognized her. "Mr Malfoy pulled out his wand and began to speak a spell. All I did was in self-defense." Alex sighed. "Sigh."

"While I'm surprised that you know my name meant that detail was withheld from me so if others can verify-" Miss bones said before McGonagall apparated into the room.

"Amelia this young man did act in self-defense against Malfoy that should exonerate him from using his magic against Lucius." The teacher said having been there to witness it and to discuss how Alex knew about wandless magic.

"I absolutely trust you Minerva, your word is as good as Dumbledore's when it comes to matters such as this. Sadly that does not exonerate him from using magic against a Pier since that is still under age magic use he shall be held for one day the train doesn't leave for another three at the very least so that should give him time to think about when it's appropriate to use magic as an underage wizard." The now named Amelia Bones said.

"Your name is on your badge." Alex said. "It's visible to anyone perceptive enough." He then looked towards Tom and asked, "Is it possible to get a serving of Chili or something filling to go?"

As they waited, Alex looked at Madam Bones then said, "Director Bones. I would like to introduce myself as Alexandre Viator of the ancient and just house of Viator. And the current head of the family."

The shock on their faces, even the stern McGonagall brought a smile to his face. To everybody else in the pub, the Viator's steadfast refusal to sign the Statute then vanished without a trace, everyone assumed that they were killed off. But if this boy was a Viator then that family was more powerful than was expected or more crafty. Alex got back into the booth just as the waitress placed a bowl of Chilli near his seat.

"Well that explains why he feels so strongly about using magic on others, even underage, as the head of a foreign lost household he technically has diplomatic immunity." Amelia Bones said to herself. "Still I have to follow my protocol. I can't let him know this just yet besides putting him in jail is more to keep him safe than to punish him considering Lucius and his former, possibly ongoing relations with the darkness."

"Sir Viator,"Amelia said glad that their Stupefy spell only lasted enough time for her to explain things to Alex earlier. "Once you have any you will be detained until we get full proof from Gringotts that you are who you say you are." Thinking of an alternate way to detain Alex as she was speaking. Your family vault here has grown substantially with interest in the past 180 years since the statute of secrecy was signed internationally by the noble houses, tried to claim your vault so this is standard procedure I'm sorry if it is true who you say you are but because of this we do have to detain you take a sample of your blood and bring it to Gringotts luckily jail is allowed to be served food from the leaky cauldron so during that time you will not be treated as muggles treat their prisoners."

A few moments later the girl from earlier was brought back in her body completely stiff as a board with her wings extended and bruises all over her while one of the wizards had an obvious black eye and broken nose. "Look miss you were drawing attention to the entrance of the pub something we cannot allow due to the statute of secrecy. no I don't care that you don't know about this it is still against wizarding law and if you can get in here you obviously have some sort of magic whether that be because you're a squib or because of your unique… biology." The man holding her completely stiff body said. "The only people that can get past the notice me not charms and illusions that make this look like a dingy Old pub on its last legs, are those that have some form of magic. Now once the petrificus totalus spell wears off you can have your freak out but do it somewhere where you won't draw attention to the pub!" None of the groups save Alex and Hagrid noticed the floating figure behind the wizards who had brought the girl in.

Alex sighed. "That's MISTER Viator as none of my family has been knighted …yet. If I may, I have a request to make." He got out of the booth and waited. Alex ate his Chilli then said to Director Bones, "How about you and your subordinates grab a bite to eat before you haul me off, on me. And this is not a bribe but me being kind. It's lunch time and I know non magical cops hate it when they get a call at lunch." As Alex bent down to take a bite of the Chilli, a portal appears behind and three forms fall through every and land on top of Alex causing him to face plant into his bowl.

"TARNATION DISCORD!" One of the anthro fills shouted at the closing portal.

"Actually your family was knighted a long time ago in The wizarding world. The Muggle Queen has known authority over your Noble status within the wizarding world Sir Viator." Amelia said as she walked over to examine the three anthros. "Now who are you three and how did you get here?" She said her voice filled with authority. "Also Sir Alex we're not going to haul you off. Again the detaining is only to completely confirm who you are, standard procedure." She said, muttering to herself afterwards. "I'm so glad Dumbledore convinced the ministry to observe muggle police in their day-to-day activities. It allowed the ministry's procedures to become a bit more efficient. Our wands are like those weapons they carry, just more useful since we can stun and injure with one weapon instead of needing multiple."

The girls climbed off Alex, allowing him to get a mouthful of air after he swallowed the mouthful of chili. A fourth form falling onto the table across from his bowl.

Ten minutes ago in Equestria, three industrious fillies finished refurbishing their clubhouse. "Steps one, two, three and four are done." A white unicorn filly with a pink & purple mane tail said. "Getting the framework and floor built is done." A yellow filly with a brilliant red mane and tail added. An Orange pegasus filly with stunted wings and purple tail & mane said, "I don't see the point of giving the clubhouse more rooms and working plumbing."

The yellow filly put on a bow saying, "Just preparing for when we get a chance at a foal sitting cutie marks."

"And you girls should have a chance to do so sooner than you think." A voice said coming up the stairs. "It's not the exact same as full babysitting but pet sitting is a good place to start! Spike's pet Phoenix Peewee has shown up again and I need you to look after her for a few hours while I call up Dr Fauna to give her a medical evaluation via Dragonfire." Tempe, a more adult light purple almost lavender alicorn dragon hybrid, said as she let the small but beautiful female Phoenix fly into the treehouse off of her shoulder.

"Now she's in no risk of a burning day so don't worry about the treehouse being lit on fire from her being sick. Still treat her as if she was a younger child. for one Phoenixes tend to have just as much intelligence as a pony if Philomena is anything like a standard Phoenix .Peewee is only a few years old even though she's fully grown. Her mind is still that of a teenager or even a younger child." The smaller Phoenix was looking around at the renovated treehouse seemingly admiring the additions. "She likes reading comics just like Spike so if you have any of his old ones show them to her so occupy her time. Also from what I've heard of Philomena and this might not be true for Peewee but take this into consideration she would consider Spike one of her parents even if not her biological one so that's why I want to make sure she's healthy."

"I just wish there was a school where I could learn magic." Sweetie Belle said.

"Your wish is my command!" Discord's voice rings out. Followed by a snap a portal opened up under the fillies causing them to tumble through. The rambunctious trio landed on a stallion. The portal closed before the pony could react. Unbeknownst both Discord and tempeh Peewee had landed on scootaloo's head falling through the portal with them

Back at the Leaky Caldron… a large male Phoenix alighted on the table of the booth. It had four letters, one in its beak the rest tied to its legs.

"Now this is interesting. Fawkes doesn't usually deliver any letters from Hogwarts itself then again this is unusual circumstances" Amelia bones said looking at the three unique beings that have fallen through the portal. . It was at that moment Peewee hopped across the table and bobbed her head at Fawkes in the matter of a respectful child. Lucius & Amelia stared at the younger phoenix while the three fillies untangled themselves. The three girls sat opposite of Alex before Fawkes removed the letters one by one and dropped them in front of each filly. While the older phoenix dealt with the scrolls, everyone else got a good look at the three. The yellow furred one was a regular filly, the white one had a horn and the orange one had stunted wings, and was staring at the girl with the large wings across from her.

"Hey guys take a look these things have wings too!" The orange one said pointing to the girl who is now starting to be able to move again her eyes focused directly on the orange girl more specifically her wings as embers began to flow off of her wings along with Sparks of lightning. At that moment Amelia the fifth scroll

Nodding, she looked at the scroll, noting it had the Gringotts seal. Breaking the seal, she read the scroll. It boiled down to that young Mr Viator was who he claimed to be and to butt out.

The yellow filly raised her hand to get everyone's attention. When Madam Bones nodded she said, "Beggin' your pardon but we're sorry for the trouble we might have caused." The other two noded.

Suddenly everyone in the room felt an electric shock go through them save for the anthros as the girl appeared in front of the winged anthro. "What did they do to you Angel!" She screamed with rage evident in her voice. "They took your wings!" After this the girl wrapped her arms around the orange filly, tears streaming out of her eyes. "My baby girl, I'm so sorry."

"HEY LEGGO!" The pegasus filly shouted. "Nobody took my wings! I was born with my wings like this!"

The white fillies horn flickered and she said "Darn it."

While the yellow filly grabbed the winged humans arms and unsuccessfully tried to pry them off. "Leave Scootaloo alone!" She growled surprised at the sheer amount of strength this girl had enough to rival Applejack.

This snapped the girl out of her disillusions but she still hugged the orange anthro with tears in her eyes. "I'm so sorry, I will find a way to give you the sky I promise." She said and everyone felt a ripple of energy go throughout the area, the same ripple Alex had conjured before only this time it also caused the hooded figure to become visible for a split second.

"What was that?!" The white Filly said having felt the ripple of energy go throughout her body starting from her horn. "I thought I saw a thing for a split second there after she said that and I felt a pulse of something."

Everyone else in the room was quickly recovering from their electric shock Amelia having turned to point her wand that the girl before noticing her wings were giving off both small Sparks and were trailing embers. "Dear God, what did they do to you?!" She screamed after seeing the girl's wings. "No wonder you ran away from us, no wonder they had to petrify you to stop you!" The Head Auor turned to Hagrid."Rubeus, how could you tell that she had them?!"

"I'm friends with the Skalamander family and I'm also half human myself. I can tell when unique hybrids are around me. I'm also the groundskeeper of Hogwarts. Of course I'd notice animal features on someone!" Hagrid said. "It's your fault you didn't notice that she had them visible when your men brought her in a few minutes ago. I bet you she was going to fly away from here."

There was an animal cry from the window. A hawk appeared with a letter tied to its leg landing in front of PeeWee on the table. Peewee gave a chip of curiosity as she looked at the hawk.

"WE'RE NOT HYBRIDS!" The fillies shouted.

Alex picked up the spoon he dropped on the table. "Okay." He said. "Who is the living taser?"

"I was talking about the girl." Hagrid deadpanned. "You girls showed up in something of a vanishing cabinet accident."

"My name is Maximum Ride," the girl said looking at Alex. "And you can call me the savior of the world, or just Max whichever you prefer."

Hagrid looked at the clock then said, "Blimey I gotta get going if I'm going to deliver something for Dumbledore." He then left the Leaky Caldron.

With that said everyone decided to leave to their respective places the three girls who had shown up through the portal following Max and Alex mostly because Max still wouldn't let go of Scootaloo the very mentally older girl holding on to the young Pegasus for dear life.

Alex walked up to Malfoy and said, “Your family took out a loan from mine a year before the statute of wizarding secrecy was penned. Do to your backing Voldemort I am calling in that loan.” Malfoy bristled and said, “I was under the imperius curse so I am guiltless.” Alex grinned evilly. “I don’t care. You supported Moldywart and as a result you must repay the loan.”

Amelia Bones looked at Alex and asked, “Do you know how much that will cost him?”

Alex nodded. “Enough to politically hamstring him.” Alex then turned to Amelia Bones and asked, “Could you please send someone from the ministry to enchant my copy of wizarding law so it self updates. My family dropped off the wizarding world’s radar before those enchantments existed.”

The hawk had landed on Max's left shoulder while Fawkes had disappeared in an operation and PeeWee had landed on Max's head. The odd group but being led by Miss Bones immediately walked into another group, this one being a boy and his snowy owl with Hagrid by his side.

"Sorry" Max said uncharacteristically. "Neat scar" she muttered as she helped the kid up.

"It's alright." The boy said. "Wasn't paying attention to where I was going." Then Hagrid hasted him along.

Alex noted that people seemed to change their attitudes after talking with the boy. "Madam Bones?" He asked. "Who was that boy Max bumped Into?"

"That's Harry Potter the boy who lived," Amelia said. "Famed for taking the killing curse and surviving that killing curse coming from you-know-who puma possibly died that night. To keep him from being overwhelmed Dumbledore had him placed in the Muggle world with his only surviving family that we could find. He is actually a relative of you through his father's side, the Potters being direct descendants of Gryffindor Sir Traveler."

Alex thought a moment before saying, "This is promising to be an interesting year." The unusual group went into Diagon Alley and got wands, books, Robes and clothes. A few unique things happened along their travels.

Max pulling a wand out of her pouch in her bag surprised everyone, even Ollivander as the wood it was made out of thrones with energy and the core no one exactly knew what the core was as all evander had never felt the like of it before. "This is a powerful tool, however you got ahold of it, it is destined for great things just as you are. Girl of the Phoenix." The man said as he examined the wand before handing it back to Max.

The three Fillies weren't able to get wands at the moment since none of the ones in Ollivander's shop seemed to agree with them. "I've never been this stumped you three seem to be unique cases when it comes to magic it's almost as if you don't need a wand but every wizard or witch needs one at least when they're first starting out come back in a few days and I may have something for each of you but I'll have to make them custom myself."

Alex meanwhile Ollivander refused to even try since something about the boy reminded him of Potter, making him think that he needed to go into his vault to find the one wand supposedly equal to the elder wand for him. "You may be the one that's looking for you and her, both" Ollivander said, indicating to Max as well who was carefully waving her wand around having already grasped at the effect that you needed intent to cast magic. "Potters wand was incredibly powerful but it had a brother whereas you two seem to be unique cases in our world. Return with the other three and your wand will be here, of that I promise you."

Alex nodded and said, "Alright sir, we'll be back." He placed a platinum coin as big as an American quarter but three times the thickness on his counter. The CMC's eyes widened at the sight of the coin.

The group then continued on their way one of the most notable things being the magical pet shop where the owner examined Peewee and the hawk that still remained at Max's side. "That's a healthy young chick miss," The owner said after taking a look at Peewee "although she seems to have more magic than she should for a phoenix so young."

The owner then looked at the hawk. "Rare thing a magical hawk, don't see them here in England so much, not since falconry died out. She seems to 9thAlexhave taken a liking to you. If you bring her with you to Hogwarts you'll have to get 'er registered with the other owls. The good news is because they tend to eat the same things there's no worry about her getting fed. It also seems this one is smart enough to not attack other birds." This was shown by Peewee nuzzling the Hawk's leg. "That shows that this bird is definitely magical."

Peewee then flew to Apple Bloom's shoulder and settled for the ride. Alex looked around the shop before walking out without making a purchase.

When the others came out, Scootaloo, petting the head of the albino boa she had gotten asked, "Why didn't you get a pet?"

Alex shrugged, "Didn’t see anything I wanted."

The next shop was Flourish and Blotts to get Max & the fillies their books. As the four went to get their books, Alex went across the street to fortescu’s Ice ceam parlour. As he waited, he saw a wizard reading a newspaper. “Pardon me sir.” He said. “What newspaper is that?"

The wizard looked up and said, "The Daily Profit." He then frowned and asked in a snooty voice. "What are you a muggle born?"

"Nope.” Alex replied cheerfully. “Seven hundred fifty generations and zero squibs family's just been isolated thanks to preference. I’m more half-blood. Now if you're done

"I can't believe you got a snow leopard Sweetie!" Applebloom said as said snow leopard followed the two Fillies out of the store both Max and Scootaloo having to take extra time thanks to needing their robes to be specially tailored for their wings. "I mean my little guy here will certainly grow to be that big, but I'm still surprised at the fact that they even had a snow leopard."

"Tom is a unique case." Sweetie Belle said as she pet the 6 month old wildcat on the head "The store owner said that they were from a litter of snow leopards born from a Mongolian Shepherd and their pet. I still can't believe they were keeping an actual dragon as a pet! I'm glad you got the guy out of there before they realized their mistake." Sweetie Belle said, pointing to the small lizard Apple Bloom had on her shoulder.

"Different world Sweetie," Apple Bloom said, petting her young Komodo "we know already that they have flying dragons thanks to the shop owner, but there are a couple of other lizard species called dragons as well, I recognized this guy from some of the books Twilight showed us about creatures mislabeled as dragons."

Alex whistled and waved to get their attention. The wizard he had been talking to handed him a copy of the Prophet. "Over here guys!" He called. As the group approached, the wizard Alex was talking to walked over to his table and said, "I as much as I revile half-bloods I respect power and I feel yours and it scares me." he then left. Alex picked up the newspaper his eyes widened when he saw the pictures move. “Okay.” He said drawing the world out. “Moving pictures in a newspaper doesn’t feel right.” Professor Mcgonicgal raised an eyebrow before saying\, “They have that way since newspapers were printed.” Alex nodded then brought out a large book that was slightly larger than letter sized and placed it on the table. He then pulled out a calligraphy pen before asking, "Does anyone have an inkwell on hand?" McGonagall transfigured a napkin into an inkwell. Nodding in thanks he wrote,

“Clan wide alert! I need subscriptions to made for me in three major newspapers. Send them to Traveler’s Rest.”

The magical folk felt the magic in use as Alex wrote. Amelia asked, “What is that magic used for and where did it come from?”

Alex answered, “Communication. It ca… Hold on I’m getting responses”

“I just made you subscriptions to the Tiames (Los Angeles, New York, & London) & USA Today” Appeared on the page. Alex then wrote in his book,

“Clan Anouncement! My request has been fulfilled. Thank you for your time,”

Both Amilia and Professor McGonagall waved their wands over the book and got back no indication of the dark magic about it. After they were done with what they were doing, Alex put the book away in his backpack. He then cleared his throat before he continued, "As I was saying 'It came from a land I am not at liberty to reveal at this moment due to magical oaths to not real their existence until my family is released from them I cannot divulge that info."

Menvera looked utterly relieved, glad it wasn't like what she feared it could have been."Notebooks writing on their own are incredibly rare; someone must have linked to the two together with a variation of the vanishing cabinet charm. But to use such a powerful charm on something as small as this they must have had incredible control."

"Be that as it may.” Alex said. “This is an ice cream parlor and there are four eleven year olds (myself included) who have had a long day and can use an ice cream snack." After he and the fillies enjoyed some ice cream there was a quick visit to gringotts where they prove he was who he claimed to be. After that they returned to the Leaky Caldron where Alex paid for a room for Max and added the fillies to his room before they settled down.

The next two days were calm and interesting. It began with three shrill voices crying out. Alex rolled out of bed and into a kneeling Position hands glowing. Tom and several wizards burst into the room, wands drawn. The Girls were standing in what could only be described as a totem pole with the yellow one at the bottom braced, the unicorn girl on top of her with the pegasus girl on top[1] and they were pointing at the mirror. “It Talked” They shouted in unison[2]. They shouted in unison.

“You don’t know about magic mirrors?” Max asked as she walked in her wings sparking with both embers and electricity. “You told me yesterday you lived in a world of fairy tales compared to my old one or even this world, magic mirrors that allow people to instant face time is a trope of that kind of thing! How do you not know about it?”

Alex let the glow fade and sighed. “Ignore it.” He said. “By the way, we got to get you three some clothes. You can borrow these.” He then took his backpack off and pulled out three child’s kilts and three t-shirts. The three fillies got dressed with the help of a visiting scottish wizard before Alex asked, “Now that we got that out of the way would you three please introduce yourselves?”

“Ah’’m Apple Bloom.” The yellow earth pony remarked.

The unicorn Responed with, “I am Sweetie Belle.”

The pegasus Answered, “And I’m Scootaloo.”

Alex smiled be fore saying, “I’m Alexandre Viator. But call me Alex.”

Tom then said, “Well everybody down stairs. After this bit of excitement we need to get something to eat.” He, the wizards, and Alex and the fillies went down into the common room, where the fillies and Alex took the same booth the fillies arrived in. Once there they ordered oatmeal (extra apples for Apple Bloom & Extra brown sugar for Alex) and waited for Professor McGonalgall to arrive to escort them back to Olivander’s.

Max was literally eating enough for six people this was unusual even for her where she would usually eat for two and a half people around 5,000 calories a day at least, which fun fact is actually the amount recommended for people traveling in the Antarctic and Arctic regions of the Earth since eating so much will allow the body to burn more calories effectively allowing core temperature to remain stable something Max had learned when she was doing Antarctic research at one point in her old life, ever since her wings had started responding to her emotions and giving off magic when she was angry or pumped up she's been feeling more and more drained with each day having stepped up her meals while paying for it from her constantly refilling bag of platinum and golden coins. The wizarding world rarely used Platinum coins as they were mostly for international Bank transactions but they were worth around a thousand gold galleons because of this this had surprised even Alex upon learning exactly what he had given away.

As the group approached the one shop they could feel the magic coming off of the area. Such concentrated power was something incredible and was only possible due to the four custom wands in the store itself. A large amount of the ministry of magics or were Force were standing outside Ollivander had told Amelia exactly what he was going to do to create the one so quickly and what he had planned on retrieving from his family vault. So making these wands was incredibly dangerous and only legal because it was Ollivander in the first place, the main wand maker family in the entire world.³

"I'm new to this whole magic thing but that don't feel right." Max said with a drawling southern accent trying to make it be a bit funny while also expressing her opinion. "Although something tells me that we should get in there before he kills himself with that power."

Alex just nodded before walking into the wandmaker’s shop. The shop was still as unassuming as yesterday and he hid a smile when the wandmaker made his presence known. “We’re here for our wands sir.” he said.

Instead of an answer a shining white light literally jetted itself into Alex's hand, the light fading quickly to reveal a crystal copy of the elder wand with a ever-shifting rainbow core just visible through the semi transparent Crystal which in and of itself seem to have a rainbow sheen. "It seems that the crystal wand was made for you. No wand that I've ever seen before has reacted like this." The wandmaker said as Max and Alex saw something incredible a woman easily 10 ft tall that looks like a fusion between the three girls before them with a rainbow mane and tail filled with ever shifting nebulae, galaxies and much more place a hand on Alex's shoulder with a gentle smile.

"You three were incredibly difficult to craft for the last time any Ollivander crafted on one using star beast fibers as the core was when that was created and it killed the Creator due to the explosive amount of power it held within." Ollivander said pointing to the crystal wand. "Unlike the mystical beasts we use to create the core of the wand on Earth it seems the star piece Will is transferred over to the wand making them incredibly choosy but it seems that you three were meant to have them, they equal the Great potential of Potter's wand for sure." Ollivander said handing the girls they're specially crafted one each of the girls could actually recognize the wood that the wands were made out of. It seemed to be the exact same wood as their tree house as if it came from the tree it was built in. The mention of star beasts made their eyes shine quickly yet they also knew how dangerous such creatures could be. "Use them well. I do not believe they will ever serve another master so do not break them." Ollivander warned.

Alex carefully set the crystal wand and set it down then on the counter, then set his backpack on the ground then reaches in to one of the main chambers and pulls out an unopened “Magic Kit” to the surprise of every one save Max. Opening ballsit, they saw, cards, cups, balls and what appeared to be a wand that was a black cylinder with a white tip. They watched as Alex detached the black end, retrieved his wand, then slide the crystal wand into the ‘toy’ wand, the crystal altering it's shape to fit inside, then replace the part he removed. "There. Now no one will want it, unless they have the Deathly Hallow known as the Elder Wand. Plus I can use it to use magic among the Nomajs to earn money as a street performer and the oblibliators won't have wipe their minds."

McGonagall looked at the magic kit then said, "Is this why your family survived the witch hunts?"

Alex nodded. "My family has been working behind the scenes to remove the fear of magic from the non magicals. That toy kit is proof that the nomajs no longer fear magic. That work just provided me away to both hide and protect my wand."

McGonagall nodded and took the kit, "I could use the items in my demonstrations at hogwarts."

The group then returned to the Leaky Cauldron for dinner. Before they left McGonagall informed them to be on platform 9 ¾. After that the five of them hit the hay.

The next day, the five of them, with the help of an old witch going to a place called Hogsmede went to Kings Cross station, platform 9 ¾. They boarded the train and went to a large compartment and sat down in it. Max left to find another compartment and as she left the boy he bumped Into the prior day, entered. "My I come in?" He asked. Alex and the fillies nodded and he sat down. A sort time later a red headed boy open the door and said, "every other compartment is full, may I sit here?" Harry nodded and the red-head walked in.

The red-head came in and sat down then said, "I'm Ron Weasely. Who're you lot."

"Ah'm Apple Bloom."

"I'm Scootaloo."

"I'm Sweetie Belle"

"Alex."

"Potter, Harry Potter"

Ron got a look of surprise then said, "Do you have the…" Then motioned to his own forehead. Harry ruefully lifted his hair revealing a lighting bolt shaped scar. "Wicked." Was all Ron said before an old witch pushing a cart laden with snacks. "Anything from the cart dearies?"

After seeing the variety on offer Harry pulled out around 30 golden gallons and said "We'll take the lot."

40 minutes later

The group had dig into a few of the vast amount of candy as they thanked Harry. At the moment Alex, the only one with a foot in the magical and mundane, was wondering about something. "The whole wizarding world has heard the story of you defeating Voldemort but no one I bet had asked you this, what happened to you after? You never showed up again till the other day so where were you and how are you handling the fame?"

"I'm still getting used to it." Harry replied. "Until the day we bumped Into each other I didn't know magic existed." Alex nodded but before he could respond, the door revealing the boy whose father he held. "I've heard that Har…YOU!" He said when his gaze fell onto Alex who calmly said, "Me. Hello Malformed."

"You attacked my Father!"

"When he tried to pull out his wand, I ended the spell fight."

"You beat Lucius Malfoy in a duel?" Ron asked.

"It was a spell fight not a duel, he just tried to pull out his wand without issuing a challenge."

Malfoy calmed himself then said, "I'm Draco Malfoy. And this Crabbe and Goyle."

"Oi rat boy!" The group heard from the window, causing them to look out at the girl flying next to the train. "Back off before I get in there and beat you 10 ways to Sunday!" Max said through the open window having been able to hear everything thanks to her enhanced senses. While not as extreme as some of the other people mutated by the experiments of the School and Itex she still had enhanced hearing and sight.

Draco stared at the winged freak before closing the door with a slam. "Thanks Max." Alex said. "Malformed was close to getting punched in the face." A couple of hours go by before the door is opened and a bushy haired girl looks in and asks, "Has anybody seen a toad? Neville has lost his."

Alex looked away from the window and responded, "Nope. No toads here."

“Holy crap! How are You outside the Train?!” The girl asked as she rushed into the room.

“She can fly with her wings," Scootaloo grumbled, her arms crossed as she looked away.

"How about asking the school healer for help with your wings?" Alex asked Scootaloo then turned his attention to the girl. "Excuse me. But who are you?"

The girl looked at Alex in surprise and said, "oh! Sorry. My name is Harmonie Granger." She then noticed Harry's glasses and added "Hold on." Before pulling her wand out and casting "Repairo" and Harry's glasses were repaired. A few minutes later she said, "We're almost at Hogwarts. We better get in our robes. The fillies started to change causing Harmonie to say, "Not with the boys present!" Alex, Harry and Ron left the compartment at Harmonie's insistence. After a few moments the girls stepped out & they went back in. Alex got a surprised look and a jealous glare from Ron when he put on a cape and with a single motion looked like he was wearing a robe. He stood near the window and talked Max into going in and changing into her robes.

At the station they followed the call of "FIR' YEARS THIS WAY! FIR' YEARS THIS WAY!" To a mountain of a man.

There were several boats there and they climbed into them four to a boat. Harry, Harmonie, Ron & Neville in one, the fillies in another & Alex with A pair of twins and another girl in a third. After the last first besides Max who was hovering above the water having mentioned she needed to get used to flying in her robes so he would do so on the way there, year boarded the boats they floated over the lake towards the castle. Never looking over the side of the boat and noticing a tentacle passed by just underneath. "Um…, Hagrid, what was that?!" Neville said, pointing at the water.

That's the freshwater colossal squid, a magical variation of the normal. It gets far bigger around the size of the kraken at its oldest; this one is merely an adolescent soon enough it'll have to be moved to one of the American Great lakes for more room." Hagrid said "don't worry about it though it mostly likes to scare first years but never harms anything, got it off of a fellow at the pub! Trained it meself!"⁴

After this scare everyone pretty much stayed within the bounds of the boats until they reached the stone dock and headed up the stairs to the entrance hall where the deputy headmistress Minerva McGonagall stood.

"Here ya go." Hagrid said. "Brought 'em safe and sound."

McGonagall nodded and said, "Thank you Hagrid. That'll be all." She turned her attention to the first years and said "follow me." When she turned & led them into the entrance hall, once there, she stopped at a door where she turned around to face them to say, "Past this door you will be sorted into your house. While you're here, your house will be your family. Your triumphs & defeats will be shared. Now wait here until this door opens again and we'll proceed with the sorting." She then went through the door, closing it behind her.

As they waited Alex heard the others guess on what the sorting was. Some of the guesses were funny, some weren't. But when Ron said, "My brothers claimed they'll make us wrestle Trolls." He had to speak up, "Ron take a look about this room, do you see any weapons on the walls? I see none so combat would not how they sort us."

Just as he finished, the door opened and they filed into the Great Hall. There was four long tables with students sitting at them with a fifth where it looked like the teaching staff was sitting at. He noticed a lot of candles floating above and what appeared to be the night sky. "It's enchanted to look like the outside. I read it in Hogwarts: A History" He heard Harmonie say.

When the the unsorted students got to the bottom of the Darius, a stoll with a beat up hat. "When I call your name you will sit on the stool and the sorting hat will place you in your house. When you have been sorted, you will join your housemates at the table." She looked at the the unsorted first years then called out, "Abbot, Hannah." The girl nervously walked up and sat on the stool. The Sorting hat was placed on her head. A few moments later the hat shouted, "HUFFLEPUFF!"

The girl removed the hat, yellow trimming her robe. She then walked to the table where the students had yellow trim. Professor McGonagall looked at her list a second time and called, “Aloo, Scoot."

The Sorting proceeded without a problem with the fillies & Max end up in Gryffindor. Harry caused the Weasley twins to shout "WE GOT POTTER! WE GOT POTTER!" Afterwards, Professor McGonagall called out, "Viator, Alexandre." The Sorting Hat was placed on his head, "Well, well, well." A voice said in his mind. "It has been a few centuries since I sorted a member of your family. Welcome back. Welcome to GRYFFINDOR!" With that Alex joined his house.

The main way wizards get wands outside of Ollivanders and the few other sellers is through wizarding duels typically the user who lost will have their wand stay with them but on rare occasions a wizard can lose their wands allegiance and it will transfer to the winner. Reference deathly hallows part 2 movie and deathly hallows book.

At the head table, Dumbledore once more stood and addressed the student body. “A few words for the start of the term, before we find our beds for the night. First years should note that the forest on the grounds is forbidden to all pupils. A few of our older students would do well to remember that as well. Also, our caretaker, Mr. Filch, would like you all to be reminded that no magic is to be used between classes in the corridors. Quidditch trials shall be held the second week of the term. If you are interested in playing, please contact Madam Hooch.” Dumbledore then rubbed his beard as if to give consideration to a deep thought, “And finally, I must tell you that this year, the third-floor corridor on the right-hand side is out of bounds to everyone who does not wish to die a very painful death.”

Alex groaned as he thought. "He just HAD to temp the fates."

The morning after the sorting ceremony.

Alex woke up three hours early and after getting dressed went to the Great Hall. Once there he then began searching for the routes for his first year classes. After finding quick routes to Potion and Herbology, while searching, she felt his own curse flaring, puzzled he decided to tune it out for the short term. He then walked back to the great hall. He was about to reenter the great hall when someone shouted, “WHAT ARE YOU DOING OUT OF YOUR DORM!” Turning he saw Filch storming up to him as he was not doing anything wrong, he waited for Filch to approach before saying, “Walking to the Great Hall to study and wait for my house to come for breakfast.” Filch was surprised that Alex was so calm and he didn’t like it.

The distant sound of thunder could be heard rolling closer. "Oi you better not be yelling at my dorm mate Filch remember what we talked about." Max said as she walked up. "Norris won't be getting any extra mice my little Frightful gets unless you keep it down early in the morning!"

Flich glared at Max then looked at Mrs Noris to see his cat rubbing against Alex’s leg. With a grunt of iration he walked past Alex, “I’ll be watching you and that girl boy. Don’t even think about breaking the rules.” He then walked off grumbling.

When Max landed next to him Alex commented, “Guess being the school janitor is as thankless in a magic school as it is in a non magical school.” He then walked up to the doors of the great hall.

“Thats why I offered Norris the extra mice my hawk catches.” Max said “She tends to grab a few more every morning for me thinking I’m her chick but I can't eat them and Mrs Norris loves the treats.”

“At least it puts that cat in a better mood.” Alex replied. “Out of curiosity, Are you in the habit of waking up early?” I know I am. Also something about Ron’s right isn’t sitting well with me.” At Max’s puzzled look Alex continued, “I’m from a family of adventurers where the firstborn of each has no option but to become an adventurer. After ten generations we stopped fighting it then ten generations later we made it ours and started using it for good. Not the greater good but good in general.”

“Which has made them staunch allies of good and the opponents of evil and those that strive for the greater good.” A harsh yet musical voice as a slim, yet fit form stepped out of the darkness. It was female with obsidian skin and bone white hair. She was dressed in a khaki shirt & trousers. She was wearing a cloak that was Grey in color. "I see you've added a celestial to your companions kiddo."

"VAR!" Alex shouted in joy.

"It's humans like you that make me glad I left Abeir-Toril and the Underdark." As the two of them dashed to each other and embraced.

"I heard from your Matron your family's bane caught you early and asked me to train in magic in the way of my world and help you incorporate it into the ways of this world.”

“Bird girl early waking is a part of me literally.” Max said, extending her right wing slightly. “I can’t sleep in unless exhausted.” Max then turned to the elf “I’m not a celestial but a planeswalker although I'll admit you're a good looking miss.”

"Thank you." The elf replied. "I am here to tutor Alex in dealing with hostile magic. You're welcome to sit in if you choose."

“Sure we got time before classes start.” Max said as she closed her wings.

Just then students began filling into the great hall. One by one the house tables with the teachers filed in and sat at the head table. With a nod Vartarcar walked in front of Teacher's Table then bowed then said, “Viator family to do such training. Alex has informed your deputy Headmistress that I'll be tutoring him. I am an retired adventurer and fully able to pass on my acquired knowledge.” The tall black skinned elf looked at the assembled professors Daring anyone to challenge her. When she felt a spike of anger and loathing caused to her look at Quirrel.

Prof. Dumbledore looked over his glasses and asked, "What sort of being are you? I do not recall seeing your kind before."

"I'm a Dark Elf," Vartarcar responded. "Commony known as a drow on Abeir-Toril."

"You're not human." Sneered a man in black robes.

Vartarcar replies. "And proud of it."

Alex left the Griffindor and said, "These are my teachers Var. Please treat all of them, minus turbin puss, with respect."

Max walked over to the man in the black robes, her height making her look like a 5th year. “You accepted me a hybrid, don’t think I'm going to let you disrespect my new combat tutor.” This reaction shocked Alex, Harry, And the rest of the school. “I don’t care about the house popularity contest, I'll tell you off if you screw with me and my flock SIR.”

Var looked over to Max and said, "You're sure you want me to tutor you in combat? Because I won't go easy on you."

Dumbledore's next action was surprising as he stood up and tapped his crystalline goblet.

"Attention students!"It would seem Hogwarts is not only paying witness to the return of The Boy Who Lived, but is also observing the return of House Viator after it's refusal to sign the Statute of Wizarding Secrecy."

"I have a healing Factor, super strength, speed, agility, and enhanced senses. I also have some heavily modified combat training from both the US Navy and the place of my origin. I honestly want to see what an elf could teach me." Max said as she walked back over to Var. "I've noticed that my wings have some new properties ever since coming to this world. I was hoping you could teach me how to control that since they seem to respond to my emotions."

“25 points from Griffindor for disrespect to one of your Professors' ' Professor Snape said in anger. At Maxis affrontery.

“25 points to Griffindor for displaying courage and bravery.” Professor McGonagal countered. “Though you might want to show more tact in the future.”

Vartarcar then said, “I’m not an elf young lady. I. am. A. drow. Please remember that in the future.” she then was surrounded by mist and when it was gone, so was she.

"Wait, I thought drow are technically a subspecies of elf. At least that's what I got from Iggy's D&D sessions, I meant no offense she's one of the few authority figures I actually respect." Max said as she sat back down. "If you can hear this, know that I meant no offense. I'm from another world. That's what it means to be a planeswalker, traveling to other worlds whether by will or by accident. Because I'm from another world, things might be different here than there." She muttered remembering what she had learned from playing magic the gathering with her sister, the card game that literally revolved around planeswalkers being champions of the people.

The mist reappeared and Var was standing near the Gryffindor table before she said, "be glad Alex's family has grow to span nine versions of Earth as well as Athas, Krynn, Urth, & Abeir-Toril. Drow may be a sub-race of elves. But we are a proud people and take being called elves by other races as an insult." She then left in a cloud of mist.

Alex lead the Gryffindors along the route he discovered to the potions classroom. When they got there, the class was empty. "Spread out." He said. "Make sure we're evenly spaced."

"Why?" Ron asked.

"School unity." Alex replied. "Our houses may be rivals but that doesn't mean we HAVE to be enemies. It takes all types to make a successful party. Besides it'll keep the snakes from ploting."

Moments later the Slytherins Walked in. They all looked at empty seat and frowned as there was no seat that did not have two Gryffindor on each side. Grumbling they took the empty seats.

Later Professor Snape entered. *Snape, like all the professors, started the class by taking the roll call. However, like Flitwick, he paused when he reached Harry’s name.

“Ah, yes,” he said softly, “Harry Potter. Our new — celebrity.” He spaced out the syllables of the last word.

Harry and the fillies exchanged puzzled looks. What had Harry done to deserve that kind of reaction? Harry had the feeling that Professor Snape was going to be inordinately strict.

Draco Malfoy and his friends Crabbe and Goyle stupidly sniggered behind their hands as if the professor had made a joke. After taking attendance, Snape looked up at the class. While he had black eyes like Hagrid, they were cold and empty, not full of warmth.

His introductory speech was spell-binding, but the ending note, “. . . if you aren’t as big a bunch of dunderheads as I usually have to teach,” was sour, and indicated his disdain for the class.

Afterwards, the only sound Harry could hear was the faint scritching of his and Sweetie Belle’s quill taking notes. Harry, Ron, Ginny, and the fillies exchanged looks with raised eyebrows. Hermione was on the edge of her seat and looked desperate to prove that she wasn’t a dunderhead.

Snape stared at Harry — or was he staring at Harry’s quill taking notes? — sneering.

“Potter!” said Snape suddenly, making everyone jump. “If I added powdered root of asphodel to an infusion of wormwood, what would I get?”

Hermione’s hand shot up into the air.

Harry was glad he had taken the time last night for one more walk through his copy of One Thousand Magical Herbs and Fungi. He thought, remembering. Fortunately, the text usually mentioned the most common uses for each of the items listed. “Sir,” he said respectfully, “asphodel and wormwood make a sleeping potion known as the Draught of Living Death.”

The professor looked disgruntled at his answer. He pursed his lips, then said, “If I told you to find me a bezoar, Potter, where would you look?”

Hermione began urgently waving her hand.

Harry considered his answer. “I would get it out of my kit, sir, as it is one of the regular items in a First Year’s Potion’s Kit.”

The professor frowned and his eyes narrowed, clearly displeased. “And if it weren’t there?”

“Then, sir, I would check the hospital stores here at Hogwarts as it is a common cure for most poisons. If that failed, I would see if there were any goats around because a bezoar is a stone taken from the stomach of a goat, sir”

The professor looked furious.

Harry couldn’t understand what was upsetting the wizard. Wasn’t he answering the questions properly? Wasn’t he being respectful? Or was he going to be like Uncle Vernon? Quick to criticize and take offense at anything you said.

“What is the difference, Potter,” he said softly, “between wolfsbane and monkshood?”

Hermione stood up, her hand as high as possible.

Harry smiled, he could almost see the text from his book floating in front of his eyes. “They are the same plant, sir, which also goes by the name of aconite.”

Snape was not pleased with Harry’s answer, almost grinding his teeth together.

“Sit down,” he snapped at Hermione. “Well? Why aren’t you all copying that down?” He said to the rest of the class, and then now glared at Harry’s quill.*[1][2]

Alex snickered as Snape's attempt at bullying failed. Snape heard it and snapped at Alex. "Care to explain what's so funny Mr Viator"

Not even intimidated Alex responded, "Nope." Snape growled before saying, "5 points from Gryffindor."

Alex lowered his head to hide his smirk as he was not going to allow himself to be intimidated by a professor.

“I will Snape,” Max said realizing what alex found funny “you tried to bully a mundane student for taking notes on you lecture, a habit drilled into mundanes as almost all things a teacher says are important in class then after he answered your questions correctly you told us to do the very thing that you tried to bully someone over which is ironicly funny.” what max said next made everyone stare at her. “What did Harry’s parents piss you off at some point in the past? I know Mr Potter sr went to school here since I saw his name on a trophy in the trophy hall so I can only assume you either taught him or he was a fellow classmate.”

The mention of James made Snape flinch. “Ride I would find it prudent to leve well enough alone 100 points from gryffindor for your disrespect earlier and now, maybe you’ll think about respecting your elders-”

“No I won’t,” She interrupted “I told you earlier I won’t allow you to disrespect my flock, that includes my Brothers Alex and Harry, especially an orphan like Harry. A boy who, like me, never knew his Mother or Father, and a child who is dealing with a massive culture shock and is still adjusting to it! You projecting onto him isn’t healthy so save it!”

Alex got thoughtful and said "Mr Snape." He intentionally didn't use Snape's title of professor. "Max is showing the level of respect you earned. I don't know what happened between you and Harry's Father. But maybe instead of thinking Harry is the son of the man you hated. Think of him as the son of his mother and she would think of you treating him so poorly."

Snape's head jerked back as if Alex had struck physically. "How did you know I cared for Lily Potter?"

"I didn't. Professor." Alex responded. "It was a shot in the dark."

"Very well." Snape then waved his wand and a potion recipe appeared on a blackboard. "You are to brew this potion that will cure boils."

They got to brewing immediately. Alex reached into his backpack and pulled out chemistry measuring tools and told his Slytherin partner, "I'll measure and you mix." She nodded, shrugged and proceeded to do her part. Alex prepared the ingredients with his tools. When he started to clean a tool so he could prep the next ingredient, "What are you doing Viator?" Alex jumped and he was glad hadn't been adding an ingredient at the time.

"I was cleaning my measuring tool of the residue of one ingredient before measuring the next." He responded.

Snape frowned then asked, "Why would you do that?"

Alex started measuring the ingredient as responded. "Safety."

Snape looked at Alex's measuring tools but before he could say anything Alex's partner said, "Sir! Alex needs to prep the last ingredient." Alex prepared the final ingredient and carefully added it then promptly started giving his tools a thorough cleaning. His partner measured out the potion and turned it in.

Malfoy was Max’s partner something he had dispised at first, while he didn’t like how she had treated himself or his head of house, he now understood why after her speech the war against his father’s master had created many orphans, some of them were purebloods and had been reabsorbed into the remaining familes but even for them the experrence made one grow up fast.

After hearing that Snape had cared for Potter’s mother in some way and Max explaining how they both were experncing culture shock because of the war he had decided to pity them but not out of hate he felt it was right. He knew that had he lost his mother or father he'd have it bad but to have no family at all, that was a devastating thought. Family was everything to pureblood socity. “Those two are the last in their lines Potter being the last true gryffindor if the reports were true.” he thought then decided “have to make it right even if his father hated him for it it would be better in the end.”

“Ride i want to apologize for the events on the train,” Draco whispered. “I wasn’t in the best of moods at that time…” he hesitated to admit this but he felt it would help in the long run “I get train sick if I stay in one car for a long time i had just come back from another car to see your group the amount of people in one car caused my condition to flare up so i was far worse than i should have been.”

“No worries,” Max said, remembering Gazzy’s travel problems. “Like I said at breakfast I don’t care about house points and as long as you’re better now and don’t act up we’ll be fine but my warning stands for all not just him.” Max said pointing her thumb at Snape’s back. “Don’t mess with my flock.”

Alex reached into the smallest pocket in his backpack and pulled what looked like a small metal box[3] the walked up to Draco. "Here." He said as he handed it to the first year Slytherin. "Some mints that had been enchanted by a cousin of mine to help with motion sickness. Their effects last twelve hours so you'll be able to endure train trips." Once Draco took the box Alex went back to his station.

"Mr Viator." Snape called out. When Alex looked up at the professor he said, "25 points for Gryffindor for safety and I suggest you learn Scourgify if you intend to keep doing that." Alex nodded but when he moved to store his tools. "Place those things on my desk. They'll be safe until your return." Puzzled Alex did as he was told then joined his house on their journey to his next class.

During the free period Alex went to the room of requirement, there he opened the door and was about to enter, "And whatever are you planning to do in there?" He heard coming from both sides. Looking to his right he saw Malfoy, Crabbe, and Goyle then looking left Harry, Hermione, & Ron. Both groups walked to him and he then heard the flapping of wings. Sighing when both groups and Max were next to him he said, "Meeting up with my tutor." Before they could answer, a bemused Vartarcar walked up.

"I see there might be a crop of Adventurers here." She said.

and asked, "Are you a Rogue Drow?" To which Vartarcar nodded and said, "That I am. Now if Alex has done what I think he did the room will be in perpetual twilight."

"Why is that?" Draco asked genuinely curious.

"Because humans are twilight creatures." At the humans puzzled looks she asks, "Have you noticed that your race universally enjoys dawn & dusk, the two twilight times of the day? Or the fact humans have color night vision? Or humans vision pick out the greatest detail during twilight?"

"Yes." Crabbe said to the surprise of everyone.

Vartarcar nodded the followed Alex into the Room of Requirement.

Lucius Malfoy stalked around Malfoy manor. His run in with the Viator brat at Diagon Alley had been the worst bit of luck for the Purebloods ever. Unlike other mudblood families, the Viator's have a seat in the wizengamot AND the wealth to push their agendas. He took a sip of brandy and cursed the Malfoy ancestor that took out a loan from the Viators as the brat used that to take away 80% of the Malfoy Fortune and severely hamstring him as he could no longer bribe the ministry officials that were high enough to make a difference. Worse is that the Viator brat could possibly increase the DMLE's budget to make them competent. He had to eliminate Alex Viator before the next wizengomet meeting or all his manipulations will be undone on by one. His mere presence would be a testament of his power. Power that will leach away at the Master's power. Manly because they don't fear him. Yes Viator had to go the sooner the better.

Alex, Crabbe, Draco, Goyle, Harry, Harmonie, & Ron ached in places they didn't know they had. "Are you sure she isn't a demon Alex?" Draco asked.

"She can be rough on her students." Alex admits. "Which is why she provides Elixers afterwards. Those bottles of purple liquid were the elixirs. The varieties are meant to cure serious injuries and mana exhaustIon."

"She gives untested potions?" Hermione called out in shock.

"Nope." Alex responded. "They're fully tested and easily accessible. Like Max, she comes from another world which she returns to restock. Anyhow, that's a topic for later. Now it's time for food" With that the seven of them entered the Great Hall and headed down to their respective tables. Alex and his party was about to when two identical redheads accosted them. "We noticed…" The first one said.

"...that you four entered." The second continued.

"You had entered at the same time."

"As three slytherins."

"Explain." They said in unison.

Alex spoke up in Defense of his year to the older gryffindors. "Harry, Hermione, and Ron as well as those three ran into me when I was meeting my tutor. She offered to include them in the session and the six of them accepted, much to their regret." While he was talking to the twins, he broke a tile the created a line of grease behind the twins as he and his friends sat down he watched as the twins stepped on the grease. Their feet sailed out from under them and the pair landed on their butts. Alex dispelled the magical grease and grabbed some roast beef.

Ron looked on in surprise as his brother's rears met the floor then asked, "Did you just pranks my brothers?"

Alex give him an inocent look as he said, "Now what gave you that idea? Pass the bacon."

Harry Potter & the Obligatory Adventurer

After Dinner, the staff gathered in an empty classroom to discuss the first day.

"The first day of the school year has passed and what have we noticed about our first years?"

Snape surprised everyone by saying, "I believe I was put in my place by three first years.” The tone he used indicated he was more surprised than upset. “I had noticed he was writing as I was talking so I asked Mr Potter three questions that unless he studied his book beforehand would have gotten wrong or could not answer. Evidently, he did because he got them right. Then I heard Mr Viator snickering and when I confronted him he showed no remorse for it. Miss Ride then stood up and berated me for getting on Potter's case because he was doing what muggles drill into their students so they don’t miss what their teacher is saying because it’s important. Finally, Mr Viator told me I shouldn’t think of Harry as the son of the man I hated but as the son of the mother I cared for. I was shocked he deduced that and out of reflex I asked how he knew of Lily.”

“And his answer?” Professor Sprout asked.

“He didn’t. The comment was as he put it, ‘A shot in the dark’”

“That I believe is an example of the famed Viator perception.” Professor Flintwick commented.

Snape then added, “It would seem the muggles teach something in which precise measurement is needed as he had measuring tools that were useful in potion brewing. I noticed him cleaning the tools after use when I asked why he did that he responded, ‘Safety.’ then Miss Greengrass asked me to leave Mr Viator alone as he measured the last ingredient. After class, I advised him to leave the tools in the classroom and to learn scourgify.”

“And what was the resulting potion?” McGonagall asked.

“Amazing.”

“Then I suggest you ask young Viator to teach you how to use such tools," Dumbledore said with a twinkle in his eye. To that, Snape nodded.

"I'll teach young Viator scourgify after class so he could save to in potions," Flintwick said.

Dumbledore then looked to their head nurse, "What of our self-proclaimed Planeswalker Miss Ride?"

"Miss Ride seems to have very little respect for authority, having said multiple times that that is because she had been fighting for her life against adults for at least 12 years." Madam Pomphrey said remembering how much disdain the girl had for medical evaluations of any kind magical or mundane. "And I believe her, she has multiple signs of physical and mental trauma, along with those wings of hers are scars that could not have been formed through play or even learning how to fly with those wings, most specifically a scar on her lower abdomen of four marks reminiscent of a werewolf's strike."

"That does not surprise me, her magic is definitely different from others but the three that are similar to Miss Ride, those Fillies?"

"They are most certainly horses of some kind, especially the one with the horn Sweetie Belle. Matching her tail hair to one from our resident herd shows that it has the same magical potency and can be used as a wand core. Surprisingly each of the three can use their hair as wand cores, showing that their own internal magic flows throughout the entirety of their bodies." Snape said "I suspect Ollivander to have somehow got a sample of each of their hair to make personalized wands, Miss Sweetie Belle, especially considering her horrible talent with potions. instead of crafting a wart removing potion she somehow created an aerosol agent that can swap genders temporarily." The thought of such a drastically different effect coming from such a simple potion-making session actually caused Snape to smile, the result of him reminiscing about his own accident in creating such a potion during his younger years of experimenting. "Luckily Miss Applebloom is a natural talent when it comes to potions and was able to mitigate the effects by neutralizing the potion within seconds. When I asked her how she knew to do that she said 'I've been trained by another potions master and I'm somewhat of a journeyman myself. Sweetie Belle once set water on fire so I was already prepared for this to happen, not this specifically but something like it.' I suspect this is why Potter studied up on his potion book, looking for general cures in case of something like this. Everything I asked was related to neutralizing something or a cure it would have easily come up in his studies. Even my question with the wolfsbane plant, since the answer would be found in the form of trivia."

“That reminds me of something.” Professor McGonagall stated. “Young Mr Viator via book managed to get three subscriptions to the same number of muggle newspapers for himself and the school. He says the subscriptions are donations for muggle studies.”

“How will they Arrive?” Dumbledore asked. “Hogwarts is unplotable.”

“The reason on how ye’ll get yoah bundles of newspapers.” A sprite, riding on a bat that three tiny packages tied to it said. “This place may be unplotable on this Prime material plane, but it’s completely plotable from mirror planes, like the Faywild or Arcadia as you know it.” The sprite dismounted the bat then removed the bundles and placed them on the table. “Besure to unshrink them after I leave. As the sprite remounted the bat he added, “Once Tuvious and I leave, the delivery of the following days papers will Arrive by either Raven or bat depending wiether it’s a daytime delivery.” With that the bat flew of and flew through a mirror which rippled like a pond that a pebble landed in.

The gathered professors looked at each other before Snape bluntly said, “Well. That just happened."

Alex was standing outside the castle doing a practice kata with his rapier. The rapier was wooden and carved with runes that made it act like it was the real thing. Not far away was a weapon rack with wooden replicas with identical runes that gave them the weight and feel of the real thing. His target was a manikin wielding an identical weapon. The weak wood golem struck at Alex attempting to do enough damage to knock Alex down, while Alex attempted to do the same to it. A translucent cat jumped onto Alex's head then through the golem causing the training aid to shut down. "MING TOI!" A witch with rainbow hair

Max had followed Alex this time and was Sparing against Vartarcar and the fight was brutal as Max even in her regressed body was as strong as a full-grown adult, along with this Max proved she had killed before with her fighting style. Vartarcar had to use elixirs multiple times to heal broken bones gouged-out eyes and a broken spine.

“You are a warrior willing to kill, impressive.” the Drow said wiping her mouth after drinking another Elixir, this one as a break since they both needed the cool down. “You’re getting better at using your elements in melee combat gathering the power in your limbs for each strike.”

“Thanks, it’s tiring though,” Max said drinking her elixir to replenish her expended power. “I hate it, but I’ve killed family even if it was unknowing.” The memory of her brother’s first death haunted her. “Still he got better and his final death helped to save me.”

"Let's not dwell on the past," Alex said. "Hogwarts is supposed to be a place to prepare for the future." He then placed his practice weapon on the rack. Ron looked at it puzzled and asked, "Why are you practicing with weapons? Aren't wands supposed to be the preferred weapon of wizards?"

“I looked into that and sword fighting is a good way of improving wandwork since before the statute was signed wizards often fought muggles in sword to sword in duels,” Herminoe explained. “Fencing developed as a way to combine wand movements and sword fighting since certain styles use a shorter second blade which was actually how wizards fought when sword dueling just replace the short blade with a wand and there you have it! Gryffindor had a famous sword that had gone missing on the night of You Know Who’s defeat proving that sword fighting used to be a major part of the wizarding world if one of the founders had a blade.”

Alex shrugged and said as he began to walk to herbology. "That's good to know. Did you know earplugs are better than earmuffs?" When Hermione and the others looked at him in surprise he commented, "Guess not."

“Neither work all that well for me,” Max said “but I knew a guy who needed noise-canceling headphones and heavy-duty sunglasses just to function after Itex modified him.”

Later in Herbology, Professor Sprout was instructing the class on reporting mandrake noticed Alex instead of putting earmuffs on, put something in his ears, after which he put the provided pair of earmuffs. "Mr Viator." She said out of curiosity. "What did you put in your ears? "

"Ear Plugs." Was his response.

"Ear Plugs?"

"Small items you put in your ears to dampen sound," Alex said before he put his earmuffs on. The lesson proceeded almost without a hitch. Neville passing out was a minor hiccup.

Harry was spending some time exploring the castle with Ron when they heard. "I doubt Mr Viator will even attend flying class Minerva." Looking about he noticed Professor McGonagall talking to Madam Hooch.

"Why is that? I understand Maximum not attending what with her wings but Alex is required to learn broom riding to pass the year.” Minerva said.

Madam Hooch sighed then said, "I'll see if I can convince him that…"

The conversation faded as both professors walked out of range. Puzzled he went on to find Ron & Hermione.

Later ten minutes before class Madam Hooch and Alex were having a meeting. Alex looked at his flying Professor and asked, "Why are you guys insistent I learn to fly a broom? I'll be spending most of my adult life on adventures, most of which are in the Muggle world."

"Be that as it may," Madam Hooch replied, "It is a requirement. But I might as well ask why are you refusing to learn to fly a broom?"

Alex sighed and said, "Brooms and my family never have gotten along. The only magical method of flight we can use is carpets. Every time we try to use a broom for flight, it ends in disaster. You know one of the windows on Gryffindor Tower? It didn't exist when the castle was completed. Five hundred years later Jack Viator crashed into the tower going through the wall. They fixed the tower by turning the hole into a window. Skele-grow was perfected because of his repeated crashes."

Madam Hooch's eyes narrowed before she said, "You will participate in class or Griffindor will lose 75 points." Sighing with resignation Alex nodded. Ten Minutes later he was standing by a broom. He followed her instructions and said, "Up." His selected broom rose and smacked him in the face hard enough to knock him out.

Three hours later Alex woke up in the infirmary to see Madam Hooch in the bed across from him bruised and burned. “Vaitor you’re exempt from broom flying and no points will be removed because of you.” the Witch said “Although that isn’t the case for your friend Maximum who will be getting detention thanks to her little comet reenactment!”

“If my legs weren’t broken I’d throttle you again bitch!!!” Max said from the bed next to Alex. “HE WARNED YOU AND THEN YOU LAUGHED AT HIM WHEN THE THING HE WARNED YOU ABOUT HAPPENED THEN AFTER TAKING HIM HERE YOU LEFT HARRY AND EVERYONE ELSE ALONE!!!! JUST BECAUSE HE’S NOW PART OF THAT SPORTS TEAM DOESN’T EXCUSE NOT GETTING ANOTHER TEACHER TO WATCH THEM! YOU IDIOT!!!!”

"I have a headache thanks to you Madam Hooch," Alex said with a growl. "I hope I don't lose any points for Gryffindor." Rolanda Hooch smiled and said, "No. Like Ms Ride said, I disregarded your warning and you paid for it. 25 to Gryffindor for the attempt."

Madam Pomphrey walked up to Max and said as she handed her a goblet filled with a milky white liquid, "Drink up. This skele-grow with have your legs back to normal." She then looked at Alex and added, "Now be off with you. It's lunchtime."

Alex needed no further prompting and scampered off.

In the dorm room that night Max was grumbling while sitting in the fireplace her anger caused her phoenix-like healing magical flames to expand from her. She willingly sat in the hearth to not risk anyone getting burnt. “Hooch has to be on her namesake if she is that stupid! I mean seriously, I can kinda of excuse needing proof and a firsthand experience but laughing at pain?! When I do it it’s to mask my anger of disgust at those I fight nothing more nothing less! I hope Dumble Head makes her get an assistant like i suggested!” The others looked at her with astonishment “I call him that since i can’t pronounce his full name Just Dumble and he’s head of the school-” The girl shuddered at that word “So it’s a play on headmaster mixed with his name not an insult!”

“Ah. Ok.” I say and after a thought, I say with some relief, “I'm glad no one has thought to challenge the notion modern electronics won't work here. Or my being knocked out by my own broom would've been plastered over the internet.”

“Timeline dude we’re in the 90s BEFORE YouTube became big,” Max said as her flames died down allowing her to leave the hearth. “Also, i have a magic surge-protected laptop with an uninterruptible internet connection.”

“YouTube is pretty big right now. Anyhow, we better hit the potions books because we have double potions tomorrow. Not looking forward to.it.”

The next day, Alex had managed to herd the pride of cats that were his fellow Gryffindors and get them to sit in the class that the Slytherins couldn't group. Once he was at his table, he cleaned his cauldron, stirring rods, measuring tools, mortar & Pistol. A house elf popped I. A d handed him a fresh chopping board and left after Alex thanked her.

“MISTER VIATOR!.” Professor Snape snapped “What are you doing?”

Alex smiled before saying with no hint of intimidation, “Making sure that my tools are uncontaminated. Or do you want an accident because of the residue of a previous potion contaminating the one I was working on?”

Snape froze in his planned chewing out as Alex’s argument made him review accidents in the past. He then explained calmly,

“Far point but there is some benefit to leaving a cauldron and stirring rods unclean for a time, the ingredients' magical properties will seep into the metal of the cauldron and other such items making it stronger, that’s why family cauldrons are so prized. This can also make certain potions stronger so don’t assume that cleaning all equipment is a good thing every time. Knives and other such things are fine since silver can tarnish easily so clean them thoroughly but remember that items like a cauldron can take some things remaining in it for a while.”

“Okay,” Alex said. “I'll check my vault for the Viator Family cauldron over summer break. In the meantime, I'll refrain from cleaning my cauldron and stirring rods from now on. In chemistry, the child of potion making, clean equipment is essential for getting uncontaminated results.” Alex then tooked at Professor Snape and said, “Maybe you could reduce the number of dunderheads in class by taking ten to fifteen minutes of questions and answers to pass on lore like what you passed on to me. By sharing information like this could reduce the number of mistakes made.” He then began to rub oil into the cutting board.

Five minutes into brewing the day's potion Sweetie Belle gave off a cute sneeze And the room was filled with anthros of snakes & lions with a unicorn, pegasus, Thestral, horse and Fox, even a tengu Maximum. “Gesundheit,” Alex said. “I'll go get Madam Pomphrey.” With a nod from Snape Alex scampered out.

“5 points from Gryffindor for that botched potion and ten points to Gryffindor for showing the intelligence to go bring Madam Pomphrey to us,” Snape said as he carefully slithered around checking on the class. “Also since this will most definitely ruin all your potion attempts we’ll be doing this over another time.”

“I’m going to also make sure they look over you. I may hate doctors besides my mom but I meant it when I said you will fly Scoots” Maximum said her hawk beak making the glare she gave the pegasus demonic-looking.

Doring the witch hunts the statuette of Secrecy was penned. Then signed by all Wizarding families save one. The Viator family. They're augment was it was cowardice, Sloth and idiocy wrapped up in a nice package cowardice because of the fact they were running and hiding when they could try talking to the non magical. Sloth because they refused to rein in the pure bloods. Idiocy because it will lead to having a group of wizards working to protect the Statute. Which could lead to trouble in the future. After which they disappeared from the Wizarding world with out a trace.

The Viator family was disliked yet tolerated. Blood status was not practiced by them and they freely intermingled with non magicals. Though dispised for being a family of half-bloods. They were respected because they were powerful and never brought forth squibs. They held a secret from the other Wizarding families. That secret will be revealed in the story.

What if…

The scene dissolves to reveal a mansion in the center of a walled of property a literal square mile surrounded by a suburban area of Los Angeles. As we look at the front area the path leading to the mansion's front door was two lines of Egyptian statuary of warriors.

Most of the grounds was filled with a forest and there was what looked like an empty zoo. Though the mansion had a Gothic design, it gave off an air of refuge. We enter though the front door and as we pass through a ghost dressed as a buttler drifts by and nods at us and moves on. On display through out the mansion is the result of thousands of years of adventuring, statues, artwork, books, and weapons. Most of the weapons, are ancient, while some are midevil with the most recent being modern.

We enter a dining room where we see a bear dressed like a maid walk in and place a tray with a cake and coookies and places it on the table. A small hand come from behind the tall back of a chair. The scene pivots around for us to see a young man doing homework. The Whacher's is heard in the background, "This is Alexandre "Alex" Viator a seemly ordinary boy of eleven. His family has endured 750 generations under a curse that forces the first born of each generation to become adventurers. In another timeline the curse began it's mischief at the age of 13. But what if it began when he was eleven?"

Alex sneezed and an orb of green light left his body. A few moments later a green flash occurs and standing in the room was a woman in green robes and conical her standing next to him. "Merlin!" She said in astonishment. "Where have I ended up?" Alex looked up saying, 'Welcome to Traveler's Rest Ma-am. Care for some cake it's fresh baked." The woman looked at the envelope she was holding then asked, "Do you happen to be Alexandre Viator?"
