FIELD WORK

The next day I awoke getting ready for the day. I had gotten in late last night, courtesy of one party mare, she had surprised me to the point where I nearly reached for a weapon but thankfully I did not have any on me, as the party went on I had pulled her aside and spoke to her.

yesterday evening

"Miss pie thank you for the party but from now on I don't do surprises courtesy of my line of work surprises are bad and they come with a lot of bad memories but the party is good all the same." I said to her, she looked sad for a moment but a smile comes back to her face.

"Okie dokie Loki I'll make sure not to make any more surprise parties for you." She said bouncing off into some unknown direction.

I mingled with a few, spoke with a few others, two others stood out though one was a cyan blue with a rainbow mane and wings, the other was an orange and blonde mare they looked and pointed at me before walking up.

"How tall are you there's no way a pegasus like you is this tall, just how?" The blue one spoke sounding very defensive or aggressive.

"For as long as I've known I've always been this tall it also helps when I'm in a fight intimidation and all that, makes others back away." I say to her looking right into her eyes.

"So what did you use to do for work." The orange one asked leaning in.

"I used to be a mercenary but decided to settle down be a part of the community see how well that goes." I say to her, her ears stand up straight and her eyes narrow.

"That was lie if ah ever heard one." She said to me I look at her and I lean in to her ear rising to my full height which by comparison to the red stallion I am at least a full head higher than him.

"If you got a problem with me we can take this outside just so you know you may be an earth pony and I may be a Pegasus but one thing is clear test my patience and I'm throwing you out a window." I said to her loud enough for her blue friend to hear. She looks back at me trembling 'guess It must have worked' sitting back down and looking her dead in the eyes I spoke to her.

"What my personal life is, is not your business I used to be a mercenary and I decided to settle down whether that's a lie or not is none of your business what your business is not mine now kindly move along." Looking to her blue friend she's stiffens then moves to catch up to her friend.

As the party finishes I head back to my trailer. As I got back to my trailer I noticed this mare wearing pearls around her neck she's yelling at this gray Pegasus. Getting closer I hear more of their conversation.

"Rent is due Miss derpy now pay up!" The aggressive pony spoke.

"But I already paid the month's rent to town hall I don't owe you nothing." The great Pegasus says back to the other mare.

"Please you think Town Hall takes rent I am of the rich family we own this town now pay up." She says again holding out her hoof.

'Okay I've had enough of this time to use my size to my advantage again.' I think to myself moving over to the two of them the gray Pegasus sees me her eyes going in two directions widen at the sight of me I raise a hoof up to my lips in a shushing motion standing directly behind the aggressive pony.

"Hello Miss, does there seem to be a problem." I say to them. The aggressive pony spins around only to look at my chest then looks directly up into my eyes hers widen significantly.

"What on celestia's Earth are you, you are a freak of nature for a Pegasus get out of my sight." She says to me of course I don't listen nor do I care looking back to the walleye mare.

"There seem to be a problem here miss it looks as though you have trash on your property want me to help get rid of it." Asking her, she nods her head as though it's about to rocket right off her skull.

"Oh yes please I've been meaning to get rid of this trash for some time anyways, it's about time now that I think about it." Putting her hoof below her chin and a thinking motion.

"You still have to pay rent and you will pay as well." The aggressive pony says to me poking me in my chest fluff which is really fluffy.

"I don't owe you nothing, Let me make that clear I owe you nothing she-" pointing to the walleye mare. "Owes you nothing, you don't own her house you don't own where I live, Ill make this clear get off her property get away from her or I break your bones you're an earth pony I said this to another earth pony I will throw you far do not test me little mare, am I clear because, if not just about every pony in this area is going to get a very vivid demonstration of what I can do." After finishing what I had to say this pony looks to me stomps a hoof Huff's and then leaves.

"I think she's gone for now but if she ever causes any other troubles call for me names specter, specter Nseven pleasure to help." I say to the gray Pegasus she looks at me and I could swear I see a small tinge of red adorning her cheeks.

"Thank you she's always hated me and I've always said no and just close the door well today she didn't take no for an answer until you came along, I'll be sure to ask for your help but how can I ever pay you for now." She asked me I look at her confused.

"What no I'm not..... you don't have to repay me for anything I did this because it was the right thing to do." I say to her.

"Well all the same my name is muffins but most others just call me derpy pleasure to meet you." Muffins tells me with a large grin and a hoof out. I reach out and bump mine against hers she's nice cute even let's see how well this goes.

Present time

Putting on my enviro suit I look at what options I have for armor I decided to play it safe and put on this armor that I was given before I went to the citadel it's a new specter Ajax armor figured it could do me some good sleek black with red accents tough armor too based off of the Cerberus Ajax armor only better shield generator at 30%, 50% more Shields, 25% more health, ammo capacity 20%, weapon damage 30%, power damage 25%. This is way better than the Cerberus armor.

Stepping out of my home I look over to where derpy lives and see that she has a foal not thinking much of it, just going with it I proceed to head Town Hall.

Moving through town ponies see me now armored up looking at me with wide eyes I'm only armed with a pistol M3 predator heat sink upgrade Mk 5, muzzle upgrade Mk 5, stun upgrade Mk 5, ultralight materials Mk 5, Pierce modification Mk 5, I have this decked out to serve me well and also a huge reserve of ammo. Walking into town hall I take my helmet off and set it on the secretary's desk.

"Hello I'm here to speak with the mayor about my new duties?" I asked the mare behind the desk.

"Of course Miss specter she's expecting you, please go right ahead." She points her hoof in the direction towards the office. Nodding my head I proceed to go to the office entering the mayor looks up and sees me enter.

"Hello specter good to see you this fine morning." Mayor mare says to me.

"Morning mayor came by to see what kind duties or task you'll have me do." I say to her. Taking a seat on a cushion in front of her desk she begins to pull a sheet of paper from inside her desk and slides it over to me.

"This is what you'll be doing, I hope it's nothing you can't handle." She said while tapping both her forehooves together.

2). Stop any and all criminal activity
3). Any creatures that are exiting from the everfree forest you are to stop them as best you can

4). Help any and all residents

Overall a pretty bare bones list and it seems simple enough but I know better then most especially with my past.

"No this is well within my skil range mayor" I responded to her. Her shoulders visibly relax at what I say.

"I can start today if you want me too, get a feel for the town and all that." I say to her. Checking over my gear and making sure it's good to go.

"Very well specter I'll inform the town of your status and duties within the hour. per chance can you start over by the apple orchard? They've been reporting Timberwolves are on the prowl in The orchards do you think you can take care of them?" She informs me I don't know what a timber wolf is but it sounds dangerous and not hard figure out.

Moving down the road towards the farm I begin to think of what to do with the wolves. The way the mayor made it sound seemed like they might be a recurring problem.

Coming up to the farm house I see the little yellow filly that bumped into me yesterday. She looks over to me and smiles wide at me and comes over to me.

"Your the pony from yesterday, my name's apple Bloom, what's your name?" She ask bouncing up and down.

"Specter Nseven is my name little one, do you know who I can talk to about the timber wolves you all have had a problem with." I ask and she nods her head and moves over to a red barn.

Getting closer to the barn I hear voices nothing I can make out but one I do recognize. Getting close to the door and knocking on it and stepping back a little. The door opens and the red stallion I saw yesterday is standing there staring at my neck.

"Hello I'm specter Nseven I'm new in town and started work for town hall to help keep the peace, the mayor said you were having problems with timber wolves I might be able to get rid of them." I say to him he nods and motions for me to follow.

"Names Big Macintosh but most jus call me Big Mac." He spoke with the deepest drawl I ever heard. Moving further in side I noticed the other pony in the barn was the orange mare from the party. She saw me come in and has a scowl on her face that makes me believe she rather not see me again.

"Nd what do you want Missy, here to cause trouble aye assume because if so leave we got our own troubles to deal with." She says acting as tho shes ready to fight me 'well guess I should remind her of last night then'. "Big Mac I have to ask is that metal plate ok for me to bend?" I ask he looks to me confused but nods all the same.

Moving to it and lifting myself to hind legs I cock back my right foreleg and throw a punch hard enough to fold the metal plate in half with a giant dent I the the center. Getting down and looking at I noticed the plate was thicker then I thought.

Looking back to Mac he has the expression of 'what did I just watch' the orange mare she went pale like an off orangish color. Moving over to her she begins to sweat and shake eyes locked on the metal plate I bent. Leaning towards her ear "so are we going to heave a problem or am I going to have to demonstrate something else to prove a point." I spoke loud enough that not only she can hear but the red guy and yellow filly can hear to.

Moving away from her I begin to speak. "I came here to help but if you think I'll be intimidated by a little itty bitty pony that thinks she can act tough try again with somepony else." Moving for the door to leave I have her speak "wait ok yeah we could use your help, nd sorry bout mah attitude earlier." She said.
"Names Applejack miss.....?" She says holding out a hoof to me.

"Specter Nseven ma'am" I say putting my hoof to hers. She shakes it only for me to start throwing her up and down like a rag doll.

Smirking at her "well if didn't show my strength then I guess I did now." She looks like shes ready to run for the hills.

"So timber wolves, are they the only ones causing trouble at all?" I ask and she shakes her head yes.

"Yep theys tha only ones to give us any real trouble." She says.

"Show me where there at and I'll get rid of em for you." I say popping my neck and rolling my shoulders.

She perks up and heads to the barn door and waves me over to follow her. We all go into the orchard and move amongst the trees in silence.

Coming up a small clearing between the trees of the orchard and the forest we see a small pack of them there.

To my astonishment they are wolves made of wood. 'Now I get it timber wolves, wolves made of wood' counting them out in my head there were only fifteen altogether fourteen small ones and one big one 'Must be the alpha of the pack'.

Looking to my I only have my pistol which show be more then enough for them 'Should use incendiary rounds burn them'.

"Ok I'll go down there and get them you all stay here a safe distance away and make sure to run if they come for any of you." I say checking my gear.

Before any of them can say anything I move down to the wolves and ready myself for a fight.
