It was a fine beautiful morning in the magical land of Equestria. The sun is shining, the birds are chirping, and everything seems like everything will be peaceful. "YOU REALLY WANT TO GO TO ANOTHER KINGDOM?!" Twilight's voice was heard from Canterlot castle. Within the throne room is Princess Celestia, Luna, and Cadance standing in front of Twilight with our jaw opened wide.

"Yes, Twilight." Celestia responded with a warm smile. "Has been a long time since the Kelpies opened their waters to others."

"But rumors of a new ruler now taking the throne have decided to open up to us." Luna added. "And we believe since you are the princess of friendship, and open a school to teach those of friendship, you were the obvious choice to go to this meeting."

"We know it might be a lot for you to handle, Twilight." Cadance spoke next as she walked up and placed a hand on Twilight's shoulder. "But we know that you're more than ready enough to deal with this. It's alright if you don't feel like you're up to it."

"No, no, I would be honored to do something like this!" Twilight quickly assured them. "I promise I won't let any of you down! I'll do research on the Kelpies and brush up on their history as well!"

"Alright, Twilight, take all the time you need." Celestia told her. "You'll have a week to prepare." Twilight quickly hugged Celestia before running off to do her research. "Now we just need to find a royal guard to go with her just in case there's trouble."

"I'll see if Shining Armor has somepony in mind." Cadance told them with a smile. "Once I told him the news, I'm sure he'll be so proud of his little sister going to another kingdom."

"I'm not sure it's a good idea for Twily to go to another kingdom." Shining told her after hearing the news.

"Oh come on, Shiny, Twilight is growing up and me and the other princesses agreed to this." Cadance told him.

"Well I don't like the idea of a royal guard going with her." Shining said with his arms crossed. "I should be the one to go with her."

"Shiny, we've talked about this." Cadance grabbed his face and looked him in the eye. "Twilight is growing up and you can't always be there for her. So if we assign a male guard to go with her, that's fine as well."

Shining looked her in the eye before letting out a sigh. "Oh alright." He responded before she let go of him. "So, who do you think should go with her to the Kelpie Kingdom?"

"Oh, I think I have a certain pegasus in mind." She told them as she remembered Twilight having a crush on a certain orange pegasus with a blue mane during her visit at the Crystal Empire.

A week later, Twilight was all prepared and ready to go to the Kelpie Kingdom but was a little nervous. Not about going to another kingdom, but who her royal guard that is going with her is: Flash Sentry. She said goodbye to her friends and family before boarding the Royal airship to the kingdom. Her and Flash watched as they were sailing farther away from their home until it was out of sight.

"The Captain says that the trip is three days until we reach our destination." Flash told her as Twilight did her best not to blush. "Is there anything you like to do until we reach the kingdom, your highness?"

"Uh well…I would just really like to work on my little speech when we get to the Kelpie Kingdom." Twilight managed to say. "I just make sure I'm prepared for the meaning when we arrive."

"You're really smart, your highness." Flash complimented, which caused Twilight to feel her heart beating by the second. "If there's anything I could do for you, I'll be outside in your room if you need me."

"Th-Thank you, Flash." Twilight said before they made they're to her room. She went inside as Flash stood guard. When the door was closed, Twilight face planted on her bed and screamed into a pillow. "Why him of all ponies?! Why Flash?!" She removed her face from the pillow and took in deep breath. "Stay cool, Twilight. Stay cool. He's just here to watch over you as any Royal Guard would."

Her horn lit up before one of her luggage opened up and levitated some flashcards over to her. "Just work on your speech and don't focus on why Flash is here." She spent the rest of her time going over her flashcards. Flash did his job and watched over her during their trip to the kelpy kingdom. It seems that this trip was it smooth sailing from here on out.

Twilight was resting in her bed before a loud thunder sound was heard and woke her up. She noticed it was raining when she looked through the window before she lost her balance and stumbled backwards. She managed to get her balance back before Flash came through the door. "Princess Twilight, we've sailed through a storm!" He told her before he quickly looked away when he saw Twilight in a see-through nightgown. "I'm sorry…"

"It's fine." She told him before levitating a robe to her. "What's the captain doing to get us out of this?"

"He's doing everything he can but he needs help!" He explained before the ship rocked to one side. Twilight stumbled forward before he quickly caught her.

"Take me to him so I can!" She told him.

"Okay, but it might be rough getting there!" Both of them started to make their way towards the helm of the ship. They helped each other whenever they slipped with all the rain coming down as well as the ship rocking. Twilight gave one last look at the storm clouds and recognized what kind it was.

"It's a cumulonimbus!" Twilight exclaimed. "We need to ride it out until it's over!" They were almost to the helm before a lightning bolt shot one of the engines. That sudden hit caused Twilight to fall back. She grunted when she hit the railings before she screamed in pain when a large crate fell on her wing.

"Princess!!" Flash called out before he dropped down and tried to move the crate off her. "Hold on! I'll get you free!" As he struggled to get the crate off her, Twilight noticed that the bars of the railing were starting to bend.

"Flash, you need to get off and fast!" She told him, fearing he might get hurt.

"I took an oath to look after you and I'm not going to let you down!" He grunted as he nearly got the crate off. The moment he got the crate off her wing, the bars broke and Twilight began to fall. Flash quickly leaped off the ship and flew towards her as she screamed while falling.

Flash remembered his training as a royal guard as he put his arms down to a side to fall faster towards her. Flash grabbed her and carried her bride style as he tried to make his way back to the ship. He did his best to dodge some lightning bolts while Twilight held on to him for dear life. They were almost to the ship before a powerful bolt came down and struck Flash. The bolt was so powerful, it knocked him out.

Flash slowly opened his eyes and saw a clear blue sky before he heard a sigh of relief. "Thank Celestia, it worked." He heard Twilight's voice before she suddenly came over him. "Are you okay, Flash?"

"I…think so." Flash whizzed out. "What happened…?"

"You got struck by lightning and we fell into the ocean." Twilight explained. "I was able to form a bubble around us when we got stuck in the ocean. It took me a while before I found this deserted island and it took everything I had to use a healing spell on you." Flash tried to sit up before she got on her knees and helped him. He then saw they were on a beach and the ocean with no island for miles.

"I'm so sorry, I failed you…" Flash told her. "I was supposed to protect you from the kelpy kingdom and back and I couldn't even do that."

"No you didn't." Twilight assured him. "You were assigned to protect me and you did when my wing got injured and you risked your own life to save mine when we were falling. I'm lucky to have somepony like you to watch over me."

"Thank you, your highness."

"Call me Twilight and there's something else you should know." She mentioned before using her magic to keep him up before walking in front of him. Flash saw that she was wearing a makeshift bra made of shells, as well as a loincloth covering her crotch area. "We left the door to my room on the ship open and my luggage fell out. All of my clothes got washed out to sea so I no longer have clothes. Luckily, my friend Rarity taught me how to make clothes out of the environment around me." She used her magic to levitate a journal and a few pens. "These were the only things that survived."

"I see…" Flash responded before he looked down and noticed he was wearing a loincloth and no other clothing. "My clothes got burnt off when I got struck by lightning?"

"Yes." Twilight answered. "Another thing, we'll have to forage for food as well as send some SOS messages in hopes of somepony will come for us." Flash then carefully stood up.

"I'm feeling a bit better." He told her as she helped him. "Come on, let's build some shelter before nightfall." Twilight nodded in agreement before they went into the jungle to gather some wood for their shelter. Once they send out any messages for help, all they have to do is wait until help arrives. They wouldn't have to wait very long until then, right?
