For all of pony history there have been more mares than stallions. It was simply part of who they were. But in recent generations stallions have gone for a minority to a near endangered species. Twilight and her mentors make a gamble to keep their race for fading into history. They have returned a pony chimera from the fabled ages to refresh their gene pool.
