Five days later

It was hard to get life back on track after all that’s happened, but all the formerly fused ponies were now back to normal and they returned to their lives.

The final wish of the pearl was used to repair all the damage and fusions of Dusk’s actions, so thankfully restoration wasn’t an issue.

Twinkle and the others returned home and before long, The Fusion War was already yesterday's news.

“Welp, portal’s up an running,” Cheese Sandwich said as he activated the portal.

“Are you sure you have to go?” Twinkle asked Flash Sentry as he stood by the mirror portal.

“I do, I have things I gotta resolve back home, but our time together has been amazing,” Flash said as he hugged her.

“You’ll come back right?” Twinkle asked.

“I promise, I just… I need to get some stuff done in my world, and if everything works out, I can come back, and… hopefully to stay,” Flash said with a smile.

“Really?!” Twinkle said with a big smile.

“I tried to move on before, but… I belong with you Twinkle, I see that now, you saved my life too,” Flash said remembering her using one of the wishes to heal him.

“I agree, I’ll miss you Flash,” Twinkle said.

“I’ll be back, and I’ll have a new song we can sing together,” Flash said before he went into the mirror portal.

Twinkle began to tear up after he vanished.

“You ok Twinkle?” Cheese asked.

“I already miss him,” Twinkle said.

“No worries, he said he’ll be back, and then we can work on our three way relationship,” Cheese said as he hugged her.

“You mean it?” Twinkle asked.

“With a big ole cherry on top,” Cheese said before they kissed.

Charity stood back and sighed with relief as she stared at her new abode.

It took a few days and aid from Discord, but they had managed to move Fluttershy’s stuff, take down the old Carousel Boutique, and rebuild it into the ‘Charity’s Pet Boutique’ and it was finally finished.

Big Mac and Spike stood by her, having helped her remake the old Boutique into a pet-friendly one, to start her new business, pet clothing wear!

“We did a good job,” Spike said.

“Eeyup,” Big Mac said.

Now I have a place in town for my business and my animal friends,” Charity said before turning and giving them both a loving peck on the lips.

“Thanks Chares,” Big Mac said.

“Welp, let’s get this show on the road,” Spike said and they went inside and flipped the sign to open.

Zap pumped iron in the gym, using two stacked dumbbells while running on a treadmill.

She was sweating but she was certainly training hard.

And when she stopped she walked over to a bench and set down her dumbbells before opening a bottle of water and splashing herself with it.

“Whew!” Zap said before stretching, she then noticed a familiar face approaching and she smirked.

“Hey Bulk,” Zap said standing up.

“Sorry I’m late, I was writing a new poem and lost track of time,” Bulk said, he had eventually revealed his love of poetry and Zap accepted it and him.

They were now official.

“Ah gotta get back to the acres for mah shift, specially since Mac is busy helping Charity,” Zap said.

“Aw, I was hoping we could do the rope tug,” Bulk said.

“Next time lover boy,” Zap said before she hugged him and lifted him off the ground.

“WHOA!” Bulk chuckled and he hugged her back.

As she set him down she began to walk away.

“See ya soon,” Zap winked at him.

Bulk just blushed and waved back before heading over to the barbells and getting set up.

“Let’s do this!” Bulk said before getting to work.

Zap walked out of the gym and saw Cheese and Twinkle hopping along, when they noticed her they came over to her.

“Hey Zap!” Cheese said.

“Hey there Twinkle, hey there Cheese, so it finally happened?” Zap asked.

“How’d you know?” Twinkle said her mane limping a little.

“Ah can tell by the fact yer not as cheery as you used to be, ah know ya miss Flash, but he’ll come back,” Zap said.

“I know, but till then Cheesie here’s taking me on a date,” Twinkle said lovingly pressing her back against him and he hugged her.

“Jest don’t get too downbeat, we’ve all got work to do now that everything is back to normal,” Zap said.

“I know, hey wanna-” Twinkle began to ask but Zap shook her head.

“Ah got work back at the farm to do,” Zap said.

“Ah, your full-time job I presume?” Cheese asked.

“Yeah, Bulk opened mah eyes, now if you’ll excuse me, ah got trees to buck,” Zap said before she took to the air and took off quickly.

“Heh, that’s our Zap, let’s go check on Chares,” Twinkle said.

“Let’s take the short route,” Cheese said and they both grabbed the scene transition and placed it.

The bell dinged at the Charity’s Pet Boutique and Twinkle bounced in with Cheese and they paused at the front counter.

“Oh, hello, how may I- oh hi Twinkle, Cheese,” Charity gave a curtesy as she saw her friends.

“Hey hey Chares, we’re here for an outfit for both Gummy and Owlicious,” Twinkle said raising her hands and having both pets in her hands.

Gummy just blinked slowly and Owlicious seemed to be the only one wondering how the heck he got here.

“Right away dears, Spike, Big Mac, we have customers!” Charity said and Big Mac and Spike came through a back door.

“On it!” Spike waved to his marefriend along with his co-coltfriend.

“Alright, I’m thinking something festive!” Twinkle said.

“And exotic!” Cheese added.

“Yeah, definitely,” Twinkle agreed.

“Alright, let me get your pets measurements and let’s get designing!” Charity said excitedly.

“Btw, where’s Sweetie Belle?” Twinkle asked as they went to the sowing tables.

“She and the others are off training,” Charity said, wondering how they're doing.

Sweetie Belle, Scootaloo, and Apple Bloom were flying in the air and firing magic bolts to nail various targets.

“Again!” Luna ordered.

“Alright!” The CMC said as they swooped and fired again nailing the targets once more.

“Good work, you may rest,” Luna said and the three landed and sat on the ground panting.

“Whew! Alicorn trainin is hard,” AB said.

“Not surprised it is,” Scootaloo said.

“I do hope you three will continue to improve, and maybe one day you can be full fledged princesses,” Luna said.

“Yes mam!” The three said with determination.

“Until then, let’s train harder!” Luna said.

“Alright!” The three said and they took back to the air.

“I am glad the era of harmony has three new alicorns to usher in it, I just hope things are going well on your end Celestia… I imagine you have a long road ahead of you,” Luna thought somberly at what her sister is doing right now.

Dusk sat in his cell, within Tartarus, in a straightjacket, and several rings on his horn restricted his power.

And as he sat in his heavily guarded prison, just staring at the ground he heard hoofsteps and he looked up to see somepony approaching.

“...What do you want?...” Dusk bitterly said.

“....” Celestia stood before him and she sat down on the ground across from him.

“...What? Your finally visiting me in my prison cell for once? Sorry, twenty years too late,” Dusk said with a glower.

“I wish to make amends for what happened… what I did to you,” Celestia said.

“You’ll be trying for a long time then, I have no intention of ever forgiving you,” Dusk said.

“...I know, I know that what I did is irreparable, but… if there is a glimmer of hope I can heal your pain, I must try,” Celestia said.

“Go to hell, you think this makes up for twenty years of abandonment? If I ever get out, I swear your loved ones will be the first I kill,” Dusk spat.

“....Want to play chess?” Celestia offered levitating a chess board out of the bag she brought.

“What?” Dusk said.

“I wish to play chess with you, like we used to,” Celestia said.

“......... You're really determined to rehabilitate me aren’t you?” Dusk sighed.

“I will visit you every day from here on, I won’t make the mistake I made before by leaving you to stew in your suffering, from now on, we share the burden of our past,” Celestia said.

“...If it’ll make you leave faster fine, I got nothing else to do,” Dusk said as they began playing.

A year later

“WOOT!” Twinkle flew into the air as multiple confetti cannons went off, she did a flip and landed on a bouncy house before doing another flip and landing on her hooves.

“Whoo hoo!” Cheese cheered.

“Let the festivities begin!” Twinkle cheered as the party was in full swing.

It was a celebration of three birthdays and the local party princess wouldn’t dare let it slip her mind.

Hers, Charity’s and Zap Apples birthdays, which happened to be on the exact day of the elements of harmony’s fusion.

Coincidence, I think not.

Zap was chugging a flask of hard cider while Bulk cheered her on.

“Come on! Down it! Down it! Down it!” Bulk cheered his marefriend on.

And Charity was sitting in her circle of sowing buddies who all had various pets dressed in her outfits.

Spike and Big Mac, her colt and drakefriends were nearby chatting it up with the other party guests.

“Alright!” Let’s get it started!” Twinkle zipped to and fro making sure everypony was accounted for.

Meanwhile the CMC were chatting with all their classmates who were still in awe that the three were now princesses.

“To think I used to bully you three,” Diamond Tiara said nervously.

“Hey, no hard feelings,” Scootaloo said with a smirk.

“We’re living every filly's dream,” Sweetie said.

“Ah’ll be the princess of apples, or maybe agriculture” AB informed a colt.

“Hey hey! Can we meet Audacia?” Silver Spoon asked.

“Sure!” The three said not wanting Audacia to miss out and they proceeded to zap eachother with sleep spells, thus triggering their fusion into Audacia.

“I have arrived,” Audacia said with a bow.

“Wow, you're so pretty,” A filly said.

“Heh, shucks,” Audacia chuckled.

Sunset and Starlight who had successfully diffused were standing around chatting.

“Just wait until the big surprise,” Sunset said with a smile.

“Yeah,” Starlight said already knowing what it is.

The party lasted until night time, and after cake the party looked like it was winding down.

But just as ponies were about to leave for the night Sunset got up on the stage Trixie set up.

“Excuse me! Before you all leave, I want to make an announcement to our local party princess,” Sunset said.

“Hmm?” Twinkle turned to see Sunset staring at her.

“There’s a gift for you,” Sunset said.

“A gift? But we opened them all,” Twinkle said confusedly.

“You missed one,” Sunset said stepping out of the way and a familiar figure walked out of the curtains.

Twinkle gasped as she saw Flash Sentry, the one from the human world, on the stage and he smiled down at her.

“Hello Twinkle, I’m back like I said I would be,” Flash said.

“Flash?” Twinkle said with a tear in her eye.

“And I’m here to stay,” Flash said as he extended his hand for her.

Twinkle glanced back at Cheese who nodded and she approached and took his hand and he lifted her onto the stage and hugged her close.

“Flash…” Twinkle said with a teary smile.

“I missed you,” Flash said.

“I missed you too,” Twinkle said.

And then the two kissed to the cheering crowd.

Zap cheered as Bulk lifted her onto his shoulder to give her a better viewpoint.

And Charity and her two boyfriends clapped as well.

“Heh, worth it,” Cheese said.

“Doesn’t it bother you she seems more romantically attached to him than you?” Trixie asked as she walked over to him.

“Not at all, if anything, I’m pushing them closer,” Cheese said.

“I don’t get it,” Trixie said.

“Sometimes love is hard to understand,” Cheese said cooly as the two continued to make out on the stage.

Sunset felt a tear go down her cheek as she watched and Starlight patted her on the back.

“It’s alright,” Starlight said.

“I know… it's just hard,” Sunset said.

“Well, hey, I’m here if you need anything,” Starlight said.

“Ok, thanks,” Sunset smiled.

After the party Twinkle and Flash were heading back to the castle.

“So… you're here to stay?” Twinkle asked hugging his arm.

“Not full time, I still have family back home, and I still have some school years, but I’m going to be living here more often until I graduate, then I’ll be here more, I’ll visit as often as I can,” Flash said.

“I’m so glad, I feel something with you here, like I’m complete, without you I feel sad… no offense Cheese, I feel the same way without you too,” Twinkle said to Cheese hurriedly.

“No problem,” Cheese said with a smile.

“I’m just happy you chose to stay here,” Twinkle nuzzled him.

“Heh, yeah, I look forward to it,” Flash said with a chuckle.

Everything was right again.

And it wouldn’t be long before things got better.
