Dragon Clawed Cakelings on Equestria Mountain
Chapter 1
Load Full StoryShadows of Equestria were cast into darkness, as Princess Celestia rose twice above the horizon. A rooster called to arouse Fluttershy, yet she was already awake. Sipping on lime tea, she looked into the sky, to turn away from the light.
Fluttershy was excited to meet Rainbow Dash and Applejack later that day. She thought of their competition as past scenery crawled through her head. Do not snapped Applejack believe in ghosts. Rainbow Dash flew through the air in loops around a startled Applejack, stopping only before crashing into Pinkie Pie. Oh, Rainbow Dash. I knew it was you all along, muttered Applejack, who stormed off, snorting in rage. Well, see you tonight, Fluttershy called after her, who had been speaking about fruits. Rainbow Dash laughed, looking up at the chimney.
I'm riding up Equestria Mountain today, will you come, was said by Pinkie. I'm free absolutely Rainbow Dash said. I guess I'm free also responded Fluttershy. We're there said Rainbow Dash. Yay said Pinkie lets ask Spike. They each recieved a party musket from Pinkie, and set off to Twighlight's hut. Fluttershy accidently discharged her musket. Entering the den, Spike greeted Twighlight, who transported Pinkie, Fluttershy, and Rainbow Dash to the deserted peak, before the dragons would come.
Pinkie, Fluttershy, and Rainbow Dash came around the mountain to a hard, lava-bedded clearing. Spiked rocks jutted up and they could see many hidden caves. I'll find this one, Pinkie said as she walked across the blackened gravel and squished through a crack. Fluttershy watched as the mountain swallowed Pinkie.
Rainbow Dash, who was circling overhead, looking for a mouse to eat, swooped down and stamped the ground near Fluttershy, leaving four neat hoof marks. Fluttershy suggested, oh shouldn't we follow Pinkie. Ah, she'll be fine. These caves aren't very deep, right, asked Rainbow Dash. Hey what's that. Rainbow Dash pointed with her head across the way to the sillouette of another spotted pony. Meanwhile Pinkie scraped along the cave. Where are anypony, Pinkie thought as she slid over an edge and down an embankment until she had fallen, only falling.
What in tar nation she's doing here asked Applejack. Oh Twilight, always ready to keep an eye out for everypony, Fluttershy thought in Applejack's voice. Twighlight perched on the narrow plain, the stuffed feathers inside her glowing. The flight was calm, and the air rush shifted her position. The pegasi rocked back and ran forwards into the current after spotting their friend. A constant regression as they neared the crossing, the cakelings found at last their dissection. Fluttershy nudged Twighlight, a reaction only in her button eye. Rainbow Dash flipped to catch the last drop, and backed up with a large suction force that Fluttershy now felt behind her.
A drop of tear trickled down Twighlight's cheek and lit up the midnight sky. It was a trick screamed Fluttershy as she fell from the garden and flew down the thickly dark chasm. Now she could hear a steady thump as the rocks crumbled and trapped her at the bottom of the well. Peering into the water, she detected a faint shimmer. Angel she asked as his bloody face rose to the surface, warm pockets of air still bursting from the bubbles. Suddenly, Fluttershy felt cold. She shivered as she nibbled on Angel's body, but she knew she couldn't let his warmth go to waste. After all his little soul was already nearing the Canterlot gates, she was sure of it. Her eyes darkened as the clouds pulled away the remaining light.
Pinkie, Rainbow Dash called again in a loud echo that ricocheted off the rising rocks and came back to bit-slap her like Carl Malone, landing her directly over a deep puddle of mud. Rainbow couldn't remember the last time she had seen Pinkie, or Fluttershy for that matter, it was only earlier that morning, she thought to herself. She wondered who had stolen them and what they were putting through them. She knew they were feeling anywhere near. Something sharp struck her mind and stayed there, but it was just a thorn.
Pinkie screamed, when she licked at her fudge carrot, until there was none left. My hooves are heavy, she puzzled. Well cakelings, I better be beating it similar to scrambled eggs, claimed Pinkie as she tapped down the corridor, creasing the tiled bricks with the lead weight of red iron. Big cake rolled after her, carpeting the floor with icy, frosted sprinkles. You can run but you can't take my hide, Pinkie drooled. Down a tunnel and around a slope she went, panting. Following the wall, wishing only to be back at her gingerbread house. She heard the cakelings cackling and cracking the walls behind her, growing fainter. Finally she stopped where she was alone, and could only hear the crackling of the elements shifting and grinding, sifting through the earth.
Fluttershy's face emerged from the background, still clinging to the now cold, gray Angel. Fluttershy, Pinkie Pie exclaimed. Can I have a bite. She chomped the paw and said, we need to find the exit. Pinkie clawed through the rock, showering Fluttershy with dust.
Rainbow floated firmly on the ground, finding no way down after the earthquake had plugged all the holes. She lingered, feeling a new shaking. Rocks burst and spilt into the air. Pinkie came out the rock with a metal smash followed by Fluttershy, flapping lightly, carrying Angel. One million, billion cakelings came up after them, to chase Rainbow and the others. Rainbow executed a rainboom and stunned the cakelings for a few seconds with all the colors.
That's when the big dragon appeared. Flying over the crest, they saw just the scaly head. Then the more of it, the dragon. Over her shoulder, Pinkie looked into a swarm of mirrors, spread across the whole. The hunting party behind her slashed ahead, packed together. Fluttershy looked and saw another cakeling evolve into a fast, flying dragon.
But the dragon, instead of running forward twisted around and shredded several others, who morphed back into cakelings before landing on the forming heap. A large gash in the dragon head was left from the grasp of another dragon, after the ringing sound. The ponies popped out of the marked barrel when only the original dragon was left over.
The march proceeded to Ponyville with cakelings on skewers made of rock. They told stories and Twighlight wrote some tales about it. They feasted on the stricken cakelings. After that, they lived happily ever after, in just another day at Equestria.
