Angel Bunny's Dark Side
Chapter 1
Load Full StoryFluttershy’s Cottage
It was late at night, and Fluttershy had never been more scared. For the past four years, ever since she had adopted Angel Bunny, he had never liked her, in the beginning he would simply scorn her, or avoid her when she did something Angel didn’t approve of, but as time went on, he grew more and more vicious with Fluttershy, to the point where he would begin to beat her when she “wronged” him, though Angel’s opinion on what constituted Fluttershy making a mistake was much harsher than what anypony could be expected to do.
One morning, she had been outside tending to the chickens when she heard a crash from inside, rushing to see what had happened, Fluttershy saw Angel Bunny digging through the shelves that she kept the animal food in, looking for his lunch.
“Oh….I’m sorry….I…uh” Fluttershy made a desperate attempt to explain to Angel that she had forgotten to put his carrots in his bowl again, when he suddenly turned to her and struck her across the face. He hit surprisingly hard for a bunny. Fluttershy had never been a pony of strong constitution and began to cry. Angel bunny would have none of that, and physically dragged her to the cabinets and, without saying anything, conveyed to Fluttershy that if she did not feed him that instant, he would put her in much more pain.
That had been two years ago. Since then, Angel had developed a drinking problem, where he was getting the booze, Fluttershy hadn’t the slightest idea. Every time he would hit her, she would stay in the cottage for weeks, no matter who came to check on her, so that nopony saw her bruises.
This night, however, was much different; currently Fluttershy was hiding in her room, whilst Angel Bunny tried to break down the door with the leg of a chair. Although he had never uttered so much as a sound the entire time Fluttershy had known him, she could practically hear him yelling at her through his swigs of apple whiskey. And what, ask you, provoked this fit of rage? She had tried to tell her closest friend, Rainbow Dash, about the beatings she received at his hands; she had grown tired of the abuse and had flown to Cloudsdale to tell Rainbow, but had seen no sign of her. Returning home, she had seen Angel bunny burying the remains of a cyan Pegasus with a rainbow mane. When angel had seen her, she dove into her room and had been in hiding ever since.
This is bad. Fluttershy thought to herself. I can’t believe he killed Rainbow Dash. When did things go so wrong? Why, Celestia did this happen to her, she tried every day to get along with everypony she met, and now look at what has happened. No, I won’t let him get away with this, not this time. Fluttershy felt something snap in her mind. There was a deep part of her that the Element of Kindness had been suppressing, making her a kind, demure, soft-spoken pony, but now she could feel a darker side creeping into her thoughts. Without hesitation, Fluttershy reared up, and with a hoof smashed her mirror in on her vanity and grabbed a shard of glass.
That dumb mare has wronged me for the last time Angel thought, as he continued to slam his entire weight against the door, alternating taking a swig of whiskey and bashing the door with the leg of a chair he had broken off. When I get in there, she is dead, nopony will suspect poor, innocent little Angel Bunny. Maybe Pinkie Pie will adopt me; I’ve always hated that damned alligator of hers.
Suddenly, the door to Fluttershy’s room opened, much to Angel’s surprise. He dropped his bottle of whiskey, sending it shattering across the floor. He was about to finish her with his makeshift club, when he noticed a change in Fluttershy’s eyes, her pupils were larger, dilated far beyond normal.
“Hello, my cutsie wootsie little bunny wunny!” Fluttershy laughed in a very disturbing way, her laughter somewhere in between a low chuckle and a maniacal cackle. “You’ve been a very bad little critter, you know that?” Fluttershy asked, taking a step closer to Angel. At this point, Angel was shaking, stepping back to the point he was almost against the top step of the staircase, Fluttershy’s room being on the second floor of the cottage. He noticed she had a shard of glass in her hoof and brandished his chair leg, in what he thought was a threatening manner.
“oh, now now, that’s a bad little bunny” Fluttershy said, knocking the leg out of the rabbit’s grasp and pushing him down the stairs, all in one swift movement.
Angel tumbled down, every step hitting like a sack of bricks. He felt his leg snap, and came to rest at the bottom of the stairs.
She’s going to kill me, this pathetic, stupid excuse for a pony is going to kill me Angel thought, panicking. I need to get out of here! Angel decided, scrambling across the floor toward the door through the darkness of the cottage. He felt a shooting pain through his leg, so he crawled, but hadn’t made it halfway to the door when he felt a painful blow to the back of his head, and the world went black…
When Angel came to, he was tied to the chair he had broken the leg off of earlier, the chair was lying on the floor, and Angel stared at the ceiling. He saw dirt. Am I in the basement? Angel wondered. He heard a shuffling noise and suddenly Fluttershy was standing over him, holding the shard of glass from her mirror.
“Oh, you’re awake, good. I have so much fun planned for the two of us. Reaching forward, she brought the shard of glass across Angel’s cheek, leaving a red line of blood welling up behind it. The pain was like nothing Angel had experienced before, and he let out a scream, the only sound a rabbit can make. “Ohh… I’m sorry… Did I hurt you?” Fluttershy asked, in a Pseudo- sweet voice. "I'm so sick of you and your beatings" Fluttershy rambled, dropping the sweet pretense. She brought her hoof down on Angel’s arm, breaking it into little Bunny bone fragments. Angel let out an ear piercing scream that tore through the basement, and left a ringing in his own ears. “YES, scream for me!!” Fluttershy yelled, her eyes widening with sick pleasure, as she continued to slice angel up and down his belly, leaving his chest looking like a horrible spider’s web of red gashes. This horrible torture lasted for hours, Fluttershy making Angel pay for every beating until he was nothing more than a disfigured husk of matted fur and blood.
As the sun rose over the land of Equestria, the soul of a horrible, evil bunny left its body, setting free the pony that he had kept under his paw for four years. Fluttershy slumped down, in a pool of her pet’s blood, and wept, no longer full of anger and sick twisted rage. It’s over. I killed him. But, I’m free. Goodbye, Angel
In the months to come, her friends would notice how much confidence Fluttershy had gained, not stuttering or glancing down shyly. She even started a few conversations now and then. She told them about how Angel the rabbit had run away, and good riddance to him, they all thought, she was better off now anyhow.
