Since the death of her two friends, Roseluck has been feeling depressed but happy at the same time. She has always been thinking about Lily and Daisy ever since that day, that one accident that happened, When Daisy was pulling a carriage of well, daisies, She then stopped by Lily's market to sell her daisies to her and left to go back to her house, She said goodbye to Lily and went home. As she set her carriage aside on the front of her house and went to the well to get water, She spotted Roseluck by her house watering her beautiful roses and waved to her, Then came Lily, she came to help her with her chores, So Daisy got the bucket and Lily hooked it to the hook, They lowered down the bucket and hoisted it back up, But it got stuck, Roseluck saw the commotion and decided to help, She couldn't reach in because it was too low, Daisy tried to get it because she was a little taller that the three, She stretched her hoof out and fell down the well! She grabbed on to the rope, it was a very deep well, she was hoping not to fall, Lily reached out a hoof to help her friend and Roseluck held to Lily to prevent her fall, Roseluck said "I'll call for help!" "No! Me and Daisy might fall in!" Shouted Lily "Call for help! They might help me get out of here! Lily, just hold me on tight!' said Daisy as her voice was echoing from down the well. Roseluck ran to the middle of town and pleaded for help from the other ponies while Lily and Daisy were at the well, Lily said "I can't hold on much longer! Aughh!" "Just hang on! it'll be okay! as long as you don't let go!" said Daisy inside the well "Wait! I think I see Roseluck! and she has a herd of ponies with her! Don't worry Daisy, They're coming for help!" As Lily smiled in relief but Daisy was having trouble inside the well "Help! I-I can't hold on much longer!" she said as her hooves were sliding off the rope and her face was grimacing and Lily seeing her in trouble tried to pull much harder but couldn't because of the weight of Daisy and the bucket of water she was pulling she then grabbed more of the rope but suddenly let go, Daisy was screaming in terror as Roseluck and the other ponies were running faster "Hold on Daisy! I'm coming!" shouted Lily into the well, Then she jumped into the well! Reaching for her friend and holding on to the rock wall of the well, Roseluck and the others immediately grabbed the rope and told Lily and Daisy to climb up the rope, Lily held on to the rope and so did Daisy, They tried to climb up but Daisy couldn't take the pain anymore, the burning feeling from the rope making her let go, when suddenly, she did.. She was screaming for help and Lily also let go and tried to catch Daisy but....It was too late..Everypony was in shock of what they have seen, especially Roseluck. She had never been more sadder in her life, The unicorns used their magic to lift them out of the well. Seeing this Roseluck cried, she cried like she never had cried before, The terror she had seen before her eyes, Seeing your best friends like that would truly make you cry so hard you don't even think you've cried enough.
It's been a year since that day, And Roseluck has been thinking of writing a letter to them in that big party up in the sky.
"Hey girls, It's been a year since you gals left, I still think about you two, how we laugh together, Shop together, Play together, I remember the times when you helped me with my roses and tulips, remember the times we shared in the park? Those were good times, but you know one thing? You girls have brought more joy to my life that anypony else in the world! We planted flowers together, and remember the first time we three met? We really had a challenge trying to win that gardening competition, Hah. And in Winter Wrap-Up time, you two helped me shovel out the snow in front of my house, You gals are the bestest friends I had ever had! And ever since you girls left, I've been thinking about my life with you girls, I've been sadder that ever and cried and cried most of the time, I wish you girls would be nice enough to make me have new friends too, But judging from how nice you girls are, I'm guessing you wouldn't mind. From the past year, I made a new friend! He was once my classmate from pre-school, I kinda has a crush on him before, But that was just BEFORE! Haha, Don't you go thinking about fancy stuff Daisy! I probably know what you're thinking while reading this. But anyway, We're just friends, actually, right now we're best friends. But girls, You two are my very first best friends, and nothing can ever replace you gals, You're both my BESTEST friends! And he's just a best friend. So in the next 2 years I'm going to send you gals another letter about what's happening here in Ponyville, So you girls, I hope you read this and be happy up there, hugs for you both! -Roseluck"
She folded the letter and put it in an envelope, and started to walk. She started to walk to the cemetery and go near 2 tombstones and placed the envelope containing the letter down in the middle of the 2 tombs and shed a tear and then walked off back home.
2 years passed
Roseluck woke up and knew what day it was, She got up and got a piece of paper and pencil. And started to write.
"Hey girls it's me again, Your bestest friend Roseluck! You 2 must have fun in that big party up the sky, or probably missing me badly like I'm missing you gals. Guess what, Derpy and Doctor actually got together! And by the past years they got a young filly named Sparkler! Derpy says they plan on having 1 last kid and name her Dinky, She wants a filly, Isn't that cute?! Any way, Berry Punch is still obsessed with that drink that I think is grape juice, Lyra and Bon-Bon still being crazy and things, Those two are like two peas in a pod! Speaking of friends, Umm.. Remember that guy I told you about? My new best friend, well he's actually my COLTFRIEND NOW! SURPRISE! Haha! Well, we developed on each other and then he asked me out while we were eating at The Sugarcube Corner, Anyways, How are you gals doing? Probably great! I'd be happy to hear that, I've still been crying when thinking of you girls, I'm actually crying right now while writing this, I hope you girls don't worry much about me being too emotional about this, But I got into some thinking and realized that I should stop being sad and accept for what's happened because the past is the past, I should start smiling and be happy because I know that's what you girls want for me, To be happy and live my life happily. You girls are really my bestest friends and I could never forget that! Remember girls, You'll both always be in my heart and I love you both♥ Hope you gals can read this and it reaches up there at you place, Hope to see you gals soon. -Roseluck"
She then set aside the pencil and wiped away a tear as she folded it and put it in an envelope like she did in her last letter. She then walked back to the same cemetery and put the envelope into the same spot as the old one. She then shed one last tear and walked away, but before she did, She noticed something in the corner of her eye. A light blue envelope which looks a little old, It's probably been there for a few months, It was near Daisy's tomb. She noticed something written on the very corner of the envelope saying "To Rosey" Rosey as in the nick-name of Roseluck which Daisy and Lily gave to her. She grabbed the envelope and went running back home. She slowly opened the envelope and read the paper inside.
"Dear Rosey, Me and Lily are having a great time here! We miss you badly and we're glad you'll never forget us. And we'll never forget you too girl! I see you have a Coltfriend Rosey! Hahaha! (Sorry, Daisy wrote that part. haha) You have been best friends with us for as long as we've remembered and we love you so much! We're so glad you actually appreciate the little things we do for you! We thought that you thought that you didn't mind about those little things! And it was just some random junk we do for you, And we're not mad at you at all for getting a new best friend, As long as we know that you'll still remember us. We love you Rosey and never forget that :) -Lily and Daisy"
Roseluck then read the last sentence and folded the note gently. She cried, But cried happily, For she knew that her friends still cared for her, She still doesn't know how it was sent to Equestria, but one thing's for sure, Her friends love her and care for her. She took a look at the envelope again and saw at the corner, "Sent with Heaven Mail" Haha.. Heaven mail.. probably the magic used to send mail into Equestria. She then looked inside the envelope again, But instead of seeing a blank space of the light blue envelope, She saw another piece of paper. Wait no..picture? She pulled it out of the envelope and looked at it, It was small and blurry but could be seen easily. It was a photo of Daisy, Lily, and Roseluck together, The three of them having fun together in Pinkie's last party. She then cried again tears of joy and put everything back into the envelope. She then put the envelope on top of a table in her bed room, It was a table filled with photos and memories of the three of them. She then took one last glance on the envelope, And left her house. She then went out into the park and looked out in her surroundings. She didn't cry anymore because she knew that her friends didn't want to see her cry anymore. She then remained happy and continued her life. And every 2 years of that same date, She would write a letter to her two dearly beloved friends.
