Chapter 1 Part 1-Sleepless
I woke up in the middle of the night again. Subconsciously being scared of what had happened. I wasn't able to do much of anything since then, let alone sleep. Granted it was quite a while ago too, but it had it's effect's on everypony. I don't really want to remember it either, but every night, it comes back to haunt me in the same dream. It's like a bad movie that you saw and can never forget. But worse.
"Rainbow please?" Scootaloo asked again.
"For the millionth time Scoots, NO!"
"Pleeease?"
"No."
"Please?"
"No."
"Please?"
Rainbow Dash was started to really annoyed by now. Scootaloo had been asking her if she could teach her how to fly for days now, but this was pushing it too far. Rainbow takes her nap before her afternoon practice and makes sure nopony bothers her. Not Scootaloo.
Rainbow took a deep breath and regained some of her composure. "Listen squirt, you come back here in about an hour, and I'll give you the best flying lessons you'll ever get, ok?"
Scootaloo looked kinda skeptical at what dash just said, but she had full trust in her hero, and big sister, so she nodded, grabbed her scooter, turned around, and started to roll away. Dash looked at her as she slowly made her way off when something came over her that she had never felt before. She couldn't quite put her hoof on it, until she looked at Scootaloo riding away again. Rainbow got up from her cloud covered tree branch and flew over to Scootaloo.
"Huh?" Scootaloo stopped and turned around. Rainbow had landed right behind her with a smile on her face.
"I thought that you wanted to be left alone right now. For your nap and all." Scootaloo looked confused and disappointed and just stood there staring at Rainbow Dash as she just stood there in front of her.
"I think a simple nap can just wait for my fans you know." Rainbow Dash smiled
"Plus, you already woke me up so I've got nothing else to do other than practice."
Scootaloo's eyes lit up and she looked more worried than disappointed. "Does that mean you're going to make it hard for me?
"No." Rainbow let out a comforting smile. "It means that first one back to the tree is a dirty cupcake!" Then, Rainbow took off at blinding speeds. It took a moment for Scootaloo to realize that Dash was gone already.
"Hey! That's not fair!" Scootaloo buzzed her wings furiously and sped off in a trail of dust after Rainbow.

Derpy Hooves was delivering mail as usual. On her usual route. With her not so usual timing. Everyday, she left the post office determined than ever to get not get distracted, she failed. She doesn't remember much of how she got the way she is. Her eyes. Her constantly forgetting things. Everything about her was...different. And she knew this. She knew she wasn't like the other ponies. She didn't really mind either. Nopony ever payed any real attention to her, and when they did they just laughed.
Derpy was very fond of laughter herself, but when people laughed at her, it was horrible. She felt like she wanted to go hide in a corner and stay there forever. But it wasn't like she didn't know why. Because she did know why. It was the day she got her cutie mark. The flash. The colors. The wind through her hair. The fall. She such a young philly when it happened. She wasn't the best flyer either. She didn't know what to do but to fall. Fall. The word resonated and repeated in her head over and over again for what seemed like an eternity.
CRASH! She was so caught up in that horrible memory that she wasn't paying any attention to where she was flying. She and a cyan colored pony were both falling in unison. The memories that were going through her head had come back to haunt her again. They both hit the ground hard. Mail was falling everywhere around them. Derpy got back to senses and looked at the rainbow maned pony that was sitting in front of her. She was still collecting herself and to busy to notice the thing she crashed into was sitting in front of her.
'Rainbow Dash, are you ok!?" Called a little philly from behind her. "The last thing I saw was you crash into something and then you falling."
Rainbow Dash shot Scootaloo an angry look. "You saw me about to crash and you didn't warn me?!?"
"Well, I thought you would have been paying attention to where and what you were flying into, so I wouldn't have to watch out for you." Scootaloo shot back.
"Well at least nopony was seriously injured." Rainbow Dash looked over at Derpy.
"You alright?"
Derpy shook her head at the memories that were still flooding in and looked over at Rainbow Dash.
"I think so," She responded. "Other than my mail going everywhere, and me having a headache now, I think I'll be fine"
Rainbow Dash looked around. She hadn't noticed all the mail until now, and she felt kinda bad for the mailmare.
