Equestria had been peaceful ever since Twilight Sparkle and her new friends used the Elements of Harmony to defeat Nightmare Moon. And ever since then, Twilight had moved into Ponyville's library to further study the Magic of Friendship, the magic they had used that day to defeat her. Upon also reuniting Celestia with her sister Luna, things seemed pretty nice in Equestria.
But things were about to change drastically...
The day started out like any normal day, Twilight woke up bright and early that day and had plans to take a stroll through Ponyville with her friends. Her friend Spike on the other hand, had plans to go to Canterlot for a few hours. He had already left a few minutes ago, leaving little to no distractions for Twilight and her friends. After getting herself ready, there was a knock on the door.
"Coming!"
She answered, walking to the door and opening it. On the other side stood her five new friends, Rarity, Applejack, Pinkie Pie, Rainbow Dash, and Fluttershy. After a quick greeting, they started down the road through Ponyville.
"Things have sure been quiet around here lately."
Rarity commented after a couple minutes of walking.
"I'm bored."
Pinkie said bouncing up and down impatiently.
"You can say that again Pinkie Pie."
Rainbow Dash said flying around them impatiently.
"Guys, it's only been a day since we stopped Nightmare Moon."
Twilight said.
"Besides, I'm sure we'll find something fun to do."
"I sure hope so Twilight."
Rainbow Dash replied. At that moment, Pinkie suddenly stopped dead, staring up at the sky.
"What's wrong Pinkie?"
Twilight asked confused.
"Do you guys feel that?"
She answered, not taking her eyes off the sky for even a second. Twilight stopped for a moment, she did feel something. There was some sort of strange feeling floating in the air, almost like a disturbance in the air around them. But before she could question it, Applejack suddenly shouted.
"What in tarnation is that?!"
She shouted pointing up in the sky. Twilight looked up just in time to see a strange blue glowing crack appearing in the sky above Ponyville. When it stopped growing, it was about a mile long stretching across the sky.
"What is that?"
Twilight said with absolute terror. The crack stayed for about a few seconds before it disappeared in the blink of a eye, leaving them all confused beyond imagination.
"What was that?"
Rainbow Dash asked confused.
"Ummm, guys?"
Fluttershy said still looking up in the sky.
"Whatever it was, it's gone now."
Rarity said.
"Ummm, guys?"
Fluttershy said again.
"I've never heard of anything like that ever appearing in the sky."
Applejack said.
"Guys?"
Fluttershy said again, starting to get annoyed.
"Can you do it again, Oh please do it again!!!"
Pinkie said bouncing up and down dramatically.
"GUYS!!!"
Fluttershy shouted.
"What Fluttershy!"
They all shouted in unison. Fluttershy pointed up in the sky where the crack had appeared. Something was falling down towards them at a alarming rate. It was about five miles away and approaching rapidly.
"What is that?"
Twilight asked confused. Before she got an answer, a voice suddenly screamed so loud it sounded like it was right in front of them.
"OH FUUUUUUU-
The shape suddenly hit the ground in front of them and caused a massive dust cloud. The blast was so powerful it blew them back a couple yards, luckily no one was injured.
"What was that?"
Rainbow Dash said trying to look through the dust cloud. From within it, there was a flash of green light for a mere second before it disappeared. When the dust cloud finally cleared, in front of them was a crater 6 meters wide. They all approached it slowly and cautiously, unsure of what they would find.
"Uhhhhh"
Groaned a voice from inside. When they looked in, what they found was, a pony.
"Hello?"
Twilight asked confused. There was no response. This mysterious pony seemed to be unconscious. Twilight used her magic to lift the unconscious pony from the crater and onto the ground in front of them where they could get a better look at him. He was dark gray with a jet black mane and tail to match. There was a nasty scar across his left eye as well as strange objects on his front legs. He was wearing a red leather trench coat which was rather odd for a pony. But what stood out the most was his cutie mark. It was a picture of two strange objects crossed together with a sword between them and a flaming bird behind both of them. Who was this? And where did he come from?
"Are you alright sugercube?"
Applejack asked with a little concern. His head suddenly moved slightly revealing his eyes. His right eye was a dark crimson red, while his other eye was just glowing white.
"Am I inside of a cartoon show?"
He said weakly, his eyes closed and his head fell to the ground again.
"Ummm, are you okay?"
Twilight asked. There was no response, he was now really out cold.
"I saw him fall from that scary crack in the sky."
Fluttershy said.
"Let's take him back to the library and tell Princess Celestia about this."
Twilight said levitating the unconscious pony again.
"Maybe she'll know what to do."
"So he fell from that mysterious crack that appeared in the sky half an hour ago?"
Celestia asked after Twilight explained everything to her.
"That's what we saw happened."
Twilight said.
"I see."
Celestia replied. She thought for a moment.
"Twilight, I would like for you to bring him back here if you can."
She said finally.
"Ok Princess Celestia."
Twilight said bowing. She left the throne room and was soon out of the castle where her friends were waiting.
"Well what did she say twilight?"
Applejack asked when Twilight returned.
'Celestia wants us to bring him to her."
Twilight replied.
"Well let's go then."
Rainbow Dash said.
"Applejack, Fluttershy, you wait here for us to come back."
Twilight said.
"Sure thing Twilight."
Applejack replied.
"Come on girls."
Twilight said as her, Pinkie, Rainbow Dash, and Rarity headed back to the train station.
"You heard Princess Celestia."
Twilight said as they entered the library back in Ponyville.
"You sure taking there is a good idea?"
Rarity asked.
"I mean he fell from the sky."
"It's not like we have any other choice."
Twilight responded.
"What I'm wondering is how is he still alive?"
Rainbow Dash asked.
"I'm not sure."
Twilight said with a look of confusion.
"But hopefully Celestia can solve whatever is going on her-."
*crash*
They all spun around at the sound of something breaking a table behind them. A pony like shape emerged from the splinters of wood that used to be a table. It was the pony that they were supposed to bring to Celestia.
And he was awake...
