Trapped in one of the many fortifications around the End, a small group of Arcturian soldiers seek to protect the civilians in their care from the unexpected and brutally harsh weather outside. When more refugees enter the fort, they soon find themselves forced to confront the source of the blizzard that has trapped the End in an unnatural night, and to hold out until the sun once again shines on the city.
