Sapphire Spark, the ruler of Equestria finally has some time off. She decides to go do some research in the Canterlot archives, always eager to learn more, but when she stumbles upon an unfinished scroll, she takes it upon herself to complete it. To her shock, it instantly activates, bringing her to another version of Equestria.

Everything seems similar at first, but she quickly finds out how wrong she was, and how much of a mistake she had done, as she finds a villain ruling Canterlot, herself.
