“ Where the hell is the artillery!?” one of my battle brothers yelled. Before getting his head shot off by a lamenter sniper. I was an iron Warrior. And I was a part of an grand Company. Well what was left of it. I was a Soldier of this Company I served under. My commander and his name was onslaught. And who was also squished by an Imperial night less than 20 minutes ago.
“ screw the artillery fall back!” One of my battle brothers shouted. What remained of our Company. Had been stuck in this region of the Galaxy. Since our galifields were sabotaged. And for the past year we have been fighting. The space marine chapter known as the lamenters.

Speaking of the lamenters, a sniper variant had been sniping us. from somewhere Above us. And he had been causing havoc. He had already taken two of us. And what remained of my squad was holding out. Until reinforcements came. And for the past month we have been fighting over this damn city. Every time we gain ground. They gained it back and we have been left in a stalemate. Half of the city ours and the other half theirs. What remained of my squad was around 7 iron Warriors Including a dreadnought. We were in the lamenters territory of the city. And at the moment we were pinned down. Between two Skyscrapers. From behind us and in front of us were lamenters. We were able to take cover. Because of the earlier artillery bombing of the skyscrapers. And I was next in command; we had already fallen back from our original objectives. But we just had to wait for reinforcements. And hopefully that would be any minute.
“ Blast Off vortex is the sniper dead!?” I shouted through the vox as. I used my bolta gun to kill two more lamenters. One more Charged forward with a Chain sword. I pulled out my own chain ax from my own back. And placed my Bolta On my hip before rushing forward.
“ For those we cherish we die in glory!” the Lamenter yelled.
And then our blades clashed as we fought.
“ You ready to die, corpse follower!?” I shouted as I applied pressure. The lamenter also applied pressure. As we were locked in a stalemate.
“ So who shall fall first, the so-called corpse follower. Or the traitorous piece of shit!?” The lamenter shouted, it turns out calling him a corpse follower. Slightly pissed him off. Also it could have been the fact that most of his battle brothers were also dead.
“ Looks like someone's mad!” I said as the lamenter had applied even more pressure. Causing me to take multiple steps back. I was losing feet quickly, and I had to do something.
“ Shut up You chaos worshiping Traitor” The lamenter said. He attempted to push all the way down into the chainsword. Sparks flew as the chain swords began to slow.
“ Sniper down,” Vortex said as from behind me. The sniper's body fell to the ground. I wasn't able to see the body fall to the ground but the gasp that the lamenter let out. Caused Glee to flow through me. The lamenter had stopped moving for a few seconds.And in those few seconds I had my opportunity. I pushed forward, and I used every ounce of my strength. to push against him. The lamenter had fallen to the ground. And I was able to shove my chain ax into his chest. The sound of Flesh and metal being torn caused even More glee to flow through me.
“ What a waste.” I said as I placed my chain ax on my back.
The sound of footsteps came behind me. I turned my head to see what remained of my new Squad. And from the skyscrapers to more came out. From behind me the footsteps of a Dreadnought approached. I turned my head to see our dreadnought. His name was Bruticus.

“ There are no more lamenters in the area.” Bruticus Said as he then regrouped with us. I then turned my head to vortex and blast off.

“ Why did it take you two so long to get rid of that sniper?” I said as I signaled for the group to start Fortifying this area, with what we had. We had to hold this area Until reinforcements arrived.
“ The son of a Bitch had two little friends. That we also had to deal with” Vortex responded. Blast Off did not say a single word. But he did start preparations and attempted to fortify. The area with everyone else. Vortex shortly joined him as well. The only ones who weren't helping them. Were me and Bruticus. I then turned to Bruticus.
“ How long do you think we have?” I said as Everyone else began to pile up the bodies, and debris together. Then I had an idea.
“ I say about 10 minutes at most. That damn night is hunting us” The Dreadnought said. Then I had an idea.
“ Bring those bodies over here. We're going to lay an ambush” I said. As I looked towards the skyscrapers.
7 minutes later.
The Imperial knight moved between the skyscrapers looking for us. I then looked at my battle brothers. That was right next to me. This battle brother had a Rocket launcher.

My squad had been split into three groups. BLast off and Vortex had been sent with Brawal. Brawal was a rocket launcher Marine. just like the one next to me. The last two were the Dreadnought Bruticus. And a regular iron Warrior known as skullcutter. Me and team two were placed on the sixth floor. On the same floor the sniper was at. And Bruticus and skullcutter were hiding behind one of the buildings. The sound of marching caught my attention. As I looked. I saw the Imperial knight Marching forward and it was followed by two dreadnoughts and a squad of spaceMarines.

“ Wait on my mark to fire, '' I said over the vox channel. I turned my head to see two of the lamenters' dead bodies. We had placed most of the bodies all over the place. But we did bring a few of the bodies up with us to make it look like the battle was still happening.
“ Team 3 now ” I stated, through the vox Channel.
“ Die corpse worshiper” Skull cutter yelled as he had then shot into the air gaining the Imperial Knights attention. The night had then rushed towards the noise of battle.
“ Fire ” I said through the vox. And then both rocket launcher carriers had aimed at the Imperial night before firing.
Both of the shots were direct hits. And it had stunned the Imperial knight
“ Reloading,” They both said. We had then begun to shoot down. At the two dreadnoughts and the lamenter squad. Skull cutter and Bruticus also came out of hiding. And began to unload upon the knight.
“ Ready..”
“ Aim…”
“ Fire!”
Then the two rocket launcher shots aimed and fired. The Rockets hit the Imperial knight in the head. but before it was fully dead it aimed and shot directly towards me.
“ shit!” I exclaimed as I ran into the building. The one wielding the rocket launcher. Was not as lucky as me. As he was then vaporized.
I then moved back to the window. I then looked down To see one of the dreadnoughts was already dead and half the squad was already slaughtered. I looked at what remains of the vaporized Iron Warrior. And a smirk went across my face. As I saw that the rocket launcher was basically not damaged. I picked it up before going back to the window. I aimed at the Dreadnought. Before firing it was a direct hit to the shoulder. Disabling its arm. I'd then drop the rocket launcher. Before grabbing my chain Ax from my back. I had then jumped down. I then repeatedly began to bash into the Dreadnaught with my chain ax.
“ Get off of him!” A lamenter yelled before tackling me off of the Dreadnaught. Once we were both able to stand up. Our blades began to Clash.

“ Deja vu” I said.
“ Shut up you traitoris cretin” He snarled.
I had then pushed him forward. Causing him to slightly stumble. I'd then brought up my chain ax, And Swung down. My chain ax but before I was able to kill him. Light enveloped me as my surroundings changed. My chain ax hit the stone ground.
“ The hell!?”
