Cyberlight Glimmare could tell she couldn’t win her fight with Bon Bon, so she teleported out of the room. She knew her armor would be deactivated, but she couldn’t risk being apprehended by non-Cybermares.

She ran away as fast as she could, the metal of her armor hitting the metal floor. She ran across the Cybership, not a clue as to where she was going.

She was angry. Angry that ponies were destroying the Cybermares. Angry that she ran away. But chiefly, angry that she was angry. Because that means she had emotions, but Cybermares don’t have emotions. She was just a pony in a suit of metal armor.

Months ago, Cyberlight was a pony named Starlight Glimmer. She had a town and ruled it by making the inhabitants equal in everything, including their cutiemarks. The only one not equal was Starlight herself, for she was the one that would take the ponies’ cutiemarks away.

That all ended when the Cybermares attacked. She hid her citizens in a bunker to avoid any harm. But curiosity got the better of her.

She would send out ponies to gather supplies but would really just send them to get kidnapped by the Cybermares. She studied them, heard what they talked about, and after several ponies were sacrificed, she learned what their purpose was: to make all ponies equal in their power.

When she learned this news, she was ecstatic. She returned to the bunker to tell the news to the rest of the ponies, only to remember that she had sent all of them to be captured by the Cybermares.

She then set out to volunteer to be transformed. It was an easy process as she just needed to find a Cybermare that would take her back to transform her. In this time, she changed her name to Cyberlight Glimmare.

After being taken back, Cyberlight tried to show no emotion at all while the transformation was occurring, but her annoyance often flared when another pony was struggling to get out.

She didn’t want to feel emotions anymore, but she took solace that she would lose them when her transformation was complete. However, when Bon Bon, Lyra, and Moon Dancer freed them and said they were destroying the Cybermares, her hope went to fear, another thing she shouldn’t have as a Cybermare.

She looked for the right moment to attack, but when she had her chance, she failed.

She continued running until the lights dimmed and her suit wasn’t working. The Doctor and his companions had destroyed the Cybermares. Cyberlight knew they would look for her next, being the last remaining Cybermare. So, she ducked into a nearby room.

She ran up to a wall to hide, but after no one barged into the room, she gave herself a moment to look around the room. The room was full of old spell scrolls. While not illuminated due to the Cybership being off, the scrolls were stored in small square compartments. They seemed to normally be lit up and would show whatever was written on the scroll in the armor.

Cyberlight looked around the scrolls before finding one that intrigued her. It was by a pony she had read about, Starswirl the Bearded. It was a spell that could change the flow of time. In short, it allowed the pony who cast it to travel through time. For a normal Cybermare, it was useless as most Cybermares stay in one place until they assimilate the whole area and then use the Cybership to travel through time. However, for Cyberlight, it gave her an idea.

She punched the glass that was holding the scroll and grabbed it with her horn. She read the scroll, and her idea grew. She could go back in time and rebuild the Cybermare army, and rebuild herself, and… destroy the Doctor.

The Doctor was in the next room. She could stop it all. But considering how badly she was beaten before with just two ponies, she couldn’t risk it.

She took the scroll and began to read it out loud. A grey portal opened above her head. She began to float into the portal. She was going to get her revenge. She would not be a lone Cybermare for much longer.

Dang it guys, I swore I’d post this last Friday but here we are! Okay, so I want to discuss some things real quick just in case anyone is wondering:

1) This is not the Doctor from Doctor Who, but rather a version of the character that exists in the pony universe. I’ve seen several interpretations that say he’s the actual Doctor, and that is not what I’m going for.
2) This story is just part one of several that I’ll put out. I have an outline of about 10 in total, but who knows if I’ll actually be able to write them all.
3) I started this story back in mid 2022. I’m glad that I’ve been able to post this story and I hope you guys liked reading it too.
4) When I was first posting these, I had several chapters already completed then I caught up with them and that’s why there’s been such a big gap in the uploads. Thank you all for your understanding.
