Chapter Ten: Sleep Fighter II
(Music: Streets of Rage 2: Going straight.)
Himiko walked through a neon lit street at night with a swagger in her step. She wore a black jacket with white lines vertically up its sleeves, underneath was an orange shirt with an X symbol, she wore blue jeans with a few rips and tears on it, white shoes, her hair is now back to its original black color and was tied in a ponytail.
A couple of thugs materialized out of nowhere. Both of them had mohawks and looked like bikers, they both rushed to attack Himiko. Himiko took a fighting stance and punched the first thug that came close in the face then followed up with another punch to the stomach and finished with a roundhouse kick.
With sounds of pain the thug was knocked to the ground. A health bar was above his head showing he wasn't done yet. Himiko did the same to the other thug, but she only hit him once then she grabbed him by the collar and punched him a few times before throwing towards the other thug who took damage from the impact.
The first thugs’ health bar reached zero and he blinked in and out a few times before vanishing and letting out a scream. Himiko finished off the last thug and dashed through the streets.
She encountered more thugs along the way and made quick work of them. Some managed to get a few lucky hits in, dropping her health bar down to half. Luckily there was a trash can where an apple was inside. She crouched down and the apple vanished but her health bar filled up a bit.
Later, she encountered another biker thug. Only this guy was bigger and had more muscle than the smaller ones, he had spiky red hair and was carrying a pocket knife.
Himiko dashed forward, jumped and kicked the thug, making him drop his knife. His health was blue, meaning it would take more hits to beat him. After getting up he pulled out another knife and rushed towards Himiko.
Himiko dodged the knife strikes and countered with an elbow to the chin, and performed a backwards flip kick, knocking the thug in the air. She picked up the knife and attacked the big thug who just got up.
With a few swings she managed to defeat the big thug. With a sigh, she continued forward.

(Music: Streets of Rage 2: In the bar.)
After making her way through the alleyway, she entered a bar where there were more thugs. But there were female thugs as well. These females wore white tank tops, pink punk rock hair, really short shorts, piercings on their faces and tattoos on their arms.
One of the thugs held a metal pipe and attacked. Himiko took him down and grabbed the metal pipe. She swung the pipe at the thugs causing more damage to them. One of the females got behind her and scratched her with her nails.
Grunting, Himiko elbowed the female in the stomach and threw her towards more thugs. After more fighting, the metal pipe was no longer usable and slipped out of her hand, vanishing. With a huff she looked at her health. Just a few more hits and she was done, she hoped there would be more food to pick up.
As she continues, she sees the bartender who immediately moves away and runs to the back of the bar when she gets close. She knew what's to come and prepared herself. But first she needs to deal with another enemy.
A blonde woman wearing a blue bodysuit and carrying an electric whip.
The woman cracked her whip at Himiko, who dodged the first strike. Himiko picked up a chair and threw it at the woman, however she smashed it with the whip. But that was a distraction for Himiko to get close and throw combos.
The woman was knocked back, decreasing her health. Himiko took this chance to move closer and kept comboing her until she was defeated.

(Music: Streets of Rage 2: Never return alive.)
It was raining when she exited the bar. There were trash cans that held cooked chickens. Himiko grabbed the chicken and her health was back to full. There were more thugs by the trash cans and further ahead was the bartender waiting for her.
Himiko cracked her knuckles and neck, ready to fight. She walks towards the bartender and he rips his shirt off and gets into a fighting stance.
Himiko ran towards the bartender, but more thugs blocked her way. She did a dash kick and two thugs were knocked to the ground. She grabbed the closest thug and threw him to the bartender, knocking him down.
As soon as the bartender got up, Himiko did her two hit combo, then she grabbed him and threw him back where more thugs came out. She would've done more damage but she didn't notice a thug from behind and he punched her, stunning her for a second.
While she was busy with the thug, the bartender did a kick that sent Himiko into the air. Himiko quickly rolled to the side to avoid the bartender stomping her face. She did a low kick making the bartender fall to the ground.
Himiko decided to wrap things up now. Her left leg was set ablaze; she jumped up in the air, spinning rapidly. The bartender couldn't dodge in time and he took the full brunt of the attack.
Everything slowed down as the bartender and all the remaining thugs were knocked up in the air and fell to the ground, all of them disappearing.

Himiko breathed a sigh of relief and exhaustion for managing to beat the boss. She grabbed her head like she was taking something off. And sure enough when she did, everything disappeared in vast numbers and she was in what looked like an arcade.
The arcade itself was different from a normal one. There were various video game characters hanging around playing other games, there were also virtual reality headsets, like the one Himiko was playing, showing some old school classic games.
Himiko got up from the seat and stretched. “Wooo, now that was fun. I bet the guys would love to see what I made.” She looked at the screen over the headset displaying her game play for stage one in “Streets of Rage 2”. “Man, I just killed it on that stage.” She said proudly.
She felt a light bump from her leg, she looked down and saw a goomba. “Are you done with that one?” The little mushroom baddie asks.
Himiko looks over to where he was gesturing. “Oh yeah go ahead, I was doing one level anyway.” She allowed the goomba to walk to the VR game to play it.
A light from the headset scanned the goomba and it adjusted itself to match the goomba’s size. After the goomba seated itself on the chair, the headset put itself on the goomba’s head and the goomba was in the game.
Himiko watched as the goomba, despite his size and lack of arms, take down the virtual enemies with ease. She decided to leave the arcade for today.
The sun was out with its blue rays shining upon the futuristic video game world created by her hands. Flying pokemon soared through the skies as well as other game characters flying around and star ships.
Many other characters greeted Himiko and she greeted them back as she walked. She looked at her phone to see messages from her mother, asking her how she's been doing.
A few weeks had passed since she had the magic of a draconequus, she had been adjusting to it fairly well. Although there are occasions where she hears voices telling her to spread chaos and sometimes her magic acts on her own when she's not paying attention. But she's getting a grasp on it.
She responded she's doing well and asked her the same. She walked into a Cafe/bakery run by cat people. The cashier, a big gray chubby cat man, greeted Himiko.
“Hello, how can I help you?” He kindly but dully asked.
“Yes, I'd like two sweet ice teas please.”
“Coming right up.”
As she waited for her drinks to come her phone buzzed. Her mother responded she's doing well and she's thinking about going to a gym to work on her figure.
The cashier came back with the drinks at hand. “Your two sweet ice teas ma'am.”
She grabbed the teas, paid the cashier, and thanked him.
“Have a nice day.”
She leaves the establishment with one of the drinks floating beside her and drinking the other one. She passed by a few shops and buildings before stopping at a beautiful apartment building. After going up the stairs, she stopped at a door to her room which was numbered 565.
A blue light shone through a camera from the right side of the door.
“Welcome Himiko Sakai.” A voice from the camera said. A clicking sound was heard and the door opened.
The room itself was large and spacious. There was a view of the whole city, a kitchen connecting to the living room, a large flat screen TV, a giant green pipe on the side of a wall, and a chandelier decorated with diamonds.
Himiko set her drinks on the kitchen counter and opened the fridge. She grabbed a club sandwich and with one bite she ate the entire thing. She patted her stomach satisfied with the sandwich and let out a burp.
“Wooo, that's a big one.” She lightly pounded her chest for emphasis. She plopped herself on the couch and turned her TV on. She scrolled through the lists of anime to watch until she settled watching the latest episodes of one piece.
She snapped her fingers and various junk foods appeared on the couch. She hits the play button on the remote and binges.
~~~
Night fell as Himiko finished catching up with her show. She got up from the couch and yawned. After cleaning everything up, with a trash can with tentacles eating up the trash, Himiko made her way to the bathroom to wash up.
Upon entering the bathroom, the tub was already filled with hot water. She grabbed a bottle of cherry scented bubble bath soap and poured it into the tub. After finishing, her clothes disappeared and she stepped into the bath.
Her whole body sunk under the soapy water and she blissfully floated in the soothing tub, which was much bigger on the inside.
With the bath done she entered the green pipe in her living room. When she came out the other side she was back in her old apartment. She could've stayed in the bedroom in her world, but you never know who might be knocking at the door or someone trying to break in so she didn't take chances. Plus her world is more like a home away from home.
She slipped into her bed and she was asleep.
In the middle of the night, Himiko was dreaming about being a villain in an anime of her own. She placed her hand on the ground and created a dark portal to escape the hero's pursuit. Little did she know, she also created the same dark portal in the real world and she fell through.
Canterlot Castle
Celestia’s room
Celestia rubbed her forehead in annoyance and to sooth her headache, this was the eighteenth time the draconequus Riot struck again with his constant pranks this week. This one involves water in houses being replaced with salsa dip.
There's also the incident in which Rainbow Dash was sent to the hospital. According to what she knew, the sheep-headed draconequus blew her up using a cloud. Her fur was burned along with her feathers so she wouldn't be flying for a while.
“These draconequi are causing all serious problems like Discord.” She muttered. “And there were only two of them so far, and the other two haven't appeared yet.” She sighed.
One Discord was hard enough to deal with, but four of them will be enough to completely take over Equestria… no the whole world.
Celestia's headache grew. “What more could go wrong?” She questioned the universe.
What she didn't realize later is that her answer came in the form of a sleeping human girl.
Everfree Forest
A dark portal emerged deep within the forest. Himiko, still sleeping, walked out of the portal and wandered into the dark forest.
“Haha… 💤 … looks like… 💤 … I lost them…💤.” She said in her sleep. Her head turned to the side and her face became as she sensed something approaching.
In the bushes, more of those wooden wolves stepped out and surrounded her. They growled at her and she responded by cracking her knuckles.
“So you… 💤… decided to follow me… 💤… well then.” She cracked her knuckles. “I hope… 💤… you signed your death warrant…💤.”
The wolves snarled in response and lunged towards her. Himiko took a deep breath and multiple spikes emerged from all over her body piercing the wolves.
Most of them managed to stop themselves from running into the spikes and backed away. The spikes retracted back into her body and the pierced wolves staggered with holes in their bodies while some fell apart.
Himiko didn't stop there and she performed hand signs. “Earth style: Mud prison grave!” The ground beneath her turned to mud and spread to the wolves, who couldn't understand what was happening, and were beginning to sink.
They tried to escape but they couldn't break free. Hands of mud grabbed onto the wolves and forced them to sink faster. Their cries of fear were heard through the forest until they were completely submerged.
Himiko smirked. “You should've…💤… run…💤… while you had the chance.” She walked off in a random direction. “Now to get back… 💤… to my mission… 💤… must beat down… 💤… false heros…💤.”
As she walked, she stumbled upon another creature. It had the body of a lion, two bat wings on its back, a scorpion tail, and the face of a man. This was a manticore.
As she was asleep, she wasn't watching where she was walking and she stepped on the manticore's tail causing it to roar from pain. It turned to see Himiko who was the culprit. Now angry, the manticore took a swipe at the sleeping human.
Himiko effortlessly dodged the attack by jumping a few feet in the air and landed in a nearby tree branch. The manticore growled and lunged towards her. She once again jumped from the branch to avoid the manticore.
She landed on her feet and faced her opponent. She held out her hand and a dark light shined from it. In its place held a weapon in the shape of a dark key.
With another angry roar, the manticore rushed to attack again. Himiko readied herself to strike. As soon as the manticore got close, she made one quick motion and the sound of metal ripping flesh was heard. The manticore roared in pain from having its right paw sliced off.
Himiko took a swing of her keyblade and the blood flew right off. She stood with her weapon pointed at the manticore. “This can go…💤… two ways. 💤… you can walk away… and get to live, or… 💤… I at least make this… as painlessly as possible.” She unleashed a menacing aura for emphasis.
The manticore was now terrified, its instincts screaming at it to run from this… whatever it is. The manticore didn't need to be told twice and ran as far away as its legs could carry.
After it left, Himiko dismissed her keyblade. She placed two fingers on her right ear as if she's talking to someone. “Sorry, I was… 💤… held up by a few pests… 💤.”
“…”
“Don't worry…💤… I'll get to the enemy base as soon…💤… as I can.” She ended the “call”. She then proceeded to tap her wrist a few times and from the sky a purple mech suit with a knight-like design flew from a portal and landed where she stood. She entered into the suit and she took off in a golden streak.
Random village
A small yawn escaped the mouth of a tired pegasus guard. This was another boring night of patrol and nothing interesting happened. The only reason he signed up for the guard job was because he wanted a reason to fight.
What he hoped to expect turned into a waste of time. He sighed and looked up at the sky. A small light flew overhead. “A shooting star huh? Well I wish I had something to fight with.” He joked.
The light seemed to get bigger at the guard's wish. He was confused. Then confusion turned to shock as the light was actually falling towards him. With a loud crash the light landed kicking up dust.
When it settled, a purple armored bipedal individual stood with eyes glowing yellow. It touched its left ear and spoke to nothing but air saying that it arrived at its destination.
Instead of feeling afraid, the guard was excited to finally fight something. He raised his spear and flew towards the enemy.
“Prepare for my ultimate move!” He yelled. He spun in the air, spear at the front. “Corkscrew dri-.” However he couldn't finish his named attack due to the quick backhand Himiko delivered, without turning to face him, which sent the guard flying into the distance.
Himiko continued the sleep conversation. “Remind me… 💤… again why I'm here?” She asked, her voice now masked with a robotic tone.
“...”
“So basically… 💤… I need to cause a huge… 💤… enough noise to get all these… 💤… fools on me.”
“...”
“Well you picked… 💤… the right girl for the job… 💤…. Making noise...” She summoned her keyblade again. “... is my specialty!” Despite having her face covered under the helmet she smiled maliciously.
Guards and ponies who heard the commotion ran to see Himiko with her weapon in hand. Without another word, she charged at
Dreamscape
Luna was monitoring the blissful dreams of ponies in the dreamscape. Her thoughts ran through the weeks of torment Riot had put them through.
Unlike Discord, Riot doesn't seem to show himself whenever he causes chaos making it difficult to stop him. There were many ponies who were traumatized by his cruel ideas of jokes.
In one dream there was a pony, who was afraid of clowns, being chased by clown monsters due to a prank with a jack-in-the-box.
At most she wanted nothing more than to see that smug face of his turned to stone, before pummeling it first. As she was thinking this, she noticed a dream she definitely didn't recognize.
A purple armored being on two legs fought a mire of enemies who by the look of things aren't faring so well. It spoke in a male tone and taunted the aggressors.
“Come on boys, those little sticks can't be for show now can they?”
It stomped on the ground and spikes of earth struck the foes. It fired small projectiles which exploded on impact. Those who tried to attack from a distance couldn't penetrate its tough armor.
Although Luna was interested in the way it fought, she still wondered. “What matter of creature is this, and from where?” She pondered.
She then noticed other dreams suddenly disappearing at an incredible rate. Either those ponies had a tradition to wake up all together or something bad is happening, and Luna can't help but suspect this mysterious guest is the culprit.
Her thoughts were interrupted when from outside the dreamscape a loud crash was heard.
She quickly exited the dreamscape to follow the noise. She made her way to the courtyard to see a stallion guard with a red mark on his face and twitching in pain while lying in a crater.
She ran towards the fallen guard while several other guards gathered due to the impact.
“What has happened to thee, speak!” Luna asked, kneeling to the downed guard.
“Pu…purple mons…ter…village…under… ugh….” The guard weakly said before passing out.
Her worries were realized when the purple armored being was definitely the same one in the dreamscape. And right now it's attacking a village.
“Get this guard to to a hospital immediately!” She ordered. The guards did as instructed and carefully carried their injured comrade. It was at the same time Celestia had arrived.
“Luna what's going on and what happened to that stallion?” She asked.
“Trouble sister! There is a beast in purple armor attacking a village somewhere and we must act!”
Celestia was shocked to hear this. “What!? But where!?”
“Thankfully we know which village that stallion was stationed so we must go post haste.
“I'll go with you.”
“Nay, we shall deal with this matter personally.”
“But we don't know what we're dealing with, what if it's those draconequi again? I won't let you face them alone.
“Sister, we must-. ” Luna's words were cut off when another object crash landed. It was another guard with a foot imprint on his face and broken teeth.
Then more guards crash landed all battered and bruised. Some with limbs bending in the wrong way.
Celestia and Luna watched the severely injured guards lay on the ground with horrified expressions. Luna immediately took to the skies without any further discussion.
“Luna, wait!!” Celestia shouted but Luna was already gone. She cursed herself for asking that question from earlier. “Me and my big mouth.”
~~~
Fires ravaged the destroyed town. Ponies fled for their lives away from the purple armored monster.
Bodies of guards were everywhere. Beaten badly but still alive. Himiko stood in the destruction, keyblade in hand, she tilted her head up towards the moon even though she was asleep.
A guard tried to sneak attack her from behind. But with a shot of lightning the guard was incapacitated. She sighed. “And here I thought… 💤… this mission would be fun. Is there… 💤… no stronger guy to fight?”
She turns her head to see a young filly trying to help her mom get out from the rubble. But because she's still dreaming, she sees them as enemy soldiers and walks towards them. The filly notices this and gets frightened.
“I guess this was a waste of my time.” She raised her keyblade intending to strike. The filly closed her eyes waiting for the inevitable death.
Suddenly Himiko was struck by a magic blast which sent her flying into a burning building. The filly opened her eyes to see the princess of the night hovering over town with a furious look in her eyes.
“FOUL CREATURE, THY EVIL REIGN CEASES!!!” She shouted.
Himiko pushed herself out of the debris. Surprisingly the impact wasn't enough to wake her from her sleep walking. This did however only made her irritated.
“You're gonna wish you hadn't done that.” She launched herself towards Luna who dodged the blow to her head. She followed up with a swift kick to Luna's side pushing her away.
Luna grunted from the kick and fired magic bullets. Himiko summoned her keyblade and slashed the bullets and charged. Luna summoned a sword of her own and the two weapons clashed.
“What purpose does thou have for this attack!?” Luna demanded.
“You don't have the rights to ask me.” Himiko narrowed her eyes. “But at least this wasn't a total waste of time.” Her mask opened to reveal she was charging a beam from her mouth. Caught off guard, Luna didn't have time to dodge before she was hit point blank sending her to the ground.
Her mask closed, she snored once more. “Heh… 💤… a fake like you looks better… 💤… on the ground like scum you are… 💤.”
Luna gritted her teeth. While getting up from the ground, she realized this being was likely still dreaming while their body is acting out reality. She needed to stop this being immediately.
Bright lights shone from above as Himiko summoned purple energy balls and launched them towards Luna.
Luna flew from the attack and fired a magic blast. Himiko countered with a beam of her own and the two attacks collided causing a massive explosion. The two then charge at each other punching and dodging the other's blows.
Luna managed to get one hit in sending Himiko back a few meters. Himiko clutched her head from the blow, feeling dizzy. Luna then delivered a powerful buck to her head sending her crashing into the ground.
When the dust cleared Himiko was laying on the ground not moving. Luna flew down still keeping her distance. “Thou have fought well, but tis time to pay for thy crime.” Luna prepared to restrain Himiko when her body went poof and was replaced with a log.
Luna was shocked. But before she could comprehend what happened, she felt a hard punch to her jaw. Himiko came out of Luna's shadow to deliver a surprise attack.
Luna didn't have time to do anything before Himiko gave her multiple flaming kicks to her stomach before sending crashing through several trees with a strong punch.
Luna gasped for air that was knocked out of her lungs and tried to get up. She could feel the literal burning pain as well as a few broken ribs. Coughing up blood from her mouth, she sees Himiko walking towards her with a burning red aura.
“Get up… 💤… I'm not done with you.”
Her hands were coated in lightning and she charged to finish her. Luna conjures a shield to block. The attack hit the shield but Himiko didn't let up and kept up her assault.
The strain left Luna sweating as she struggled to keep her shield from breaking. Himiko then decided to use one last attack and stretched her arm back. Her fist was now glowing orange, pieces of rock covering it, and was pulled back at breakneck speed to create a powerful punch.
With one final blow, the shield was destroyed and Luna went wide eyed as time was slowing down and watched as the deadly punch was about to smash her face in. She closed her eyes bracing for impact.
“Forgive me, sister.” She apologized.
But for some reason it never came. Luna slowly cracked one eye open to see Himiko standing over her while looking the other way and placing her fingers.
“This… 💤… better be good.”
“...”
“So I'm done here, that's… 💤… what you're saying?” She says with a mixture of disappointment and irritation.
“...”
“Grrrrr…” *clenches fist* *sigh* “Yes sir.” She agrees reluctantly.
Ending the call, she opened a dark portal and turned to leave. However she was stopped by Luna's voice.
“H-halt! Does thou believe thou can lay waste *cough* to a village, injuring many ponies and just leave!?” She shakily rose to her hooves. “As princess of the night thou shall not be permitted to leave without facing consequences.”
Himiko just stood there staring at Luna. “If that's the case… 💤… then let me offer some friendly advice.”
Without warning Himiko violently slammed Luna's head into the ground with great speed and force. The last thing Luna heard before losing consciousness was Himiko's deep robotic voice.
“Stay down you piece of shit.”
~~~
Tokyo: the next morning
The morning sun was shining in Himiko's bedroom. She woke up from her bed and yawned. But she felt a headache.
“Geez… why does my head hurt so bad.” She groaned. Her hand glowed green and the headache vanished. “Ahhhh much better.” When she noticed her clock, she did a double take when she saw the time.
12:35 pm
“Oh fuck I'm late!” She cursed. She and her friends made plans to go to the beach and she was supposed to be there minutes ago. Rushing to get ready she didn't notice the footprint leading to her bed and ending.
Equestria hospital
Luna slowly opened her eyes to see she was in a hospital room. Her body was covered with bandages. She sat up as she tried to remember what happened. Then it all came back to her. Recalling events from the destruction of a Cocoa village to the purple armored being, her humiliating defeat and those words.
“Stay down you piece of shit.”
She gritted her teeth in frustration and slammed her hoof on the bed, which resulted in pain spiking through her body.
Why is this happening? First Discord's escape, the draconequi, and now that being is made its appearance. It was as if the universe was playing a cruel joke on them.
And that being, how dare he call her a “piece of shit”, it made her angry. She never got his name, but she swore the next time they meet things will be different.
