//-------------------------------------------------------// Displaced as a Vengeful Child with a Magic Crest -by Pondalek_9- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// One rainy day… //-------------------------------------------------------// One rainy day… Ponies walked past my statue, some giving minor glances my way, others completely ignoring me. I don’t blame them, as I have been in this garden long before their great-great-great grandparents were even born, so barely anypony even batted an eye at my statue anymore. It was quite boring, being a statue for who knows how long, to the point that I constantly fell in and out of awareness in cycles that lasted anywhere from a few seconds, to hundreds of years! During my small periods of awareness, I noticed many different things, like that cult that popped up that one time, calling me “Vetrix, God of Crests”, a crest being what ponies used to call cutiemarks, a title I accepted, mostly because I had forgotten my actual name by that point. The cult doesn’t exist anymore, as far as I’m aware anyway, apparently Celestia was able to dissolve the cult by simply talking them down, which lends credence to why the ponies love her so much I suppose. But that’s then, so let’s return to the present. I was standing there (not that I had a choice) observing as it slowly started raining, the ponies quickly leaving the garden to find shelter in response. At first, only a few drops fell, but more and more steadily joined in, until it was in the ‘heavy shower’ range, with so many drops of water coming down that the once dry ground rapidly became much less dry. I didn’t really care about the rain though, mostly because I couldn’t feel anything on account of my skin being stone, until I noticed a small earth pony filly walking into my line of sight, her grey fur drenched from the rain… The filly’s cerulean eyes looked void of life as she sat under the tree across from me, staring at the grass below her fore hooves, seemingly unaware of my rock solid form being across from her. The sky grew darker as the intensity of the rain picked up, making the filly slowly shuffle closer to the tree’s trunk just to avoid most of the water. A bolt of lightning flashed across the sky behind me, casting my shadow over the filly for an instant. The filly turned her head in the direction of the flash & thunder, only for her eyes to land on my statue, causing her expression to briefly twist into one of surprise, before morphing into one of mild intrigue, slowly turning to face my statue properly, her cerulean eyes looking over my stone body with an intensity that pulled my partially unconscious mind back into near full consciousness! With my restored awareness, I could finally sense the spell keeping me contained being just weak enough for me to possibly escape with my currently low power reserve. Desperate to escape my stone prison, I focused all my power into breaking out, causing my crest to begin glowing for the first time in 200 years. https://camo.fimfiction.net/Nj421FCPQnyvsO0jGG5XSv9WdDyPp502Qg1jiDSfb_Q?url=http%3A%2F%2Fimg1.wikia.nocookie.net%2F__cb20120330112435%2Fyugioh%2Fimages%2Fa%2Fa7%2FVetrix_Crest.png The crest appeared on the back of my left stone hand, glowing that familiar reddish-pink light as cracks began spiderwebbing off in multiple directions from the centre of the symbol, the cracks themselves having that same reddish-pink light shining through them. The cracks spread up my stone arm rapidly, the sound of the cracking barely heard over the sound of the storm, and quickly began spreading over my stone torso and up my neck. The grey earth pony filly watched with wide eyes as she saw glowing cracks spread across my statue, eventually completely covering me in softly glowing cracks. After a few seconds of nothing else happening, the cracks briefly dimmed before literally exploding in a bright flash of reddish-pink light, blinding the filly and causing her to cover her eyes with her hooves in pain, rubbing them tenderly. While she was recovering from the flash, my body fell forward off my pedestal, my metal mask coming off my face just after I hit the ground. I was taking many deep breaths as I lay there, not only from exhaustion but also from being able to breathe for the first time in at least a thousand years, barley able to believe that I was finally free after all these years. After a minute or so, I shakily lifted myself off the wet ground, slowly looking myself over as muscles I haven’t used in a thousand years turned on. I then noticed my mask on the ground next to me, so I quickly reached over and put it on, the mask’s digital systems coming online the moment it was back on my face, giving me a Heads Up Display of my vitals, revealing that said vitals were all over the place, which wasn’t surprising considering that I had basically been dead whilst in stone, only living in the sense that my soul was still there, until now that is… Whilst I was trying to do some breathing exercises to calm my wild vitals down, I failed to notice the grey filly now looking at me with a mixture of fear and curiosity, as while she was unwilling to draw attention to herself, she also wanted to know who and what I was, eventually leading her to timidly stand up and slowly inch her way towards me. She continued until she was within reach of me, slowly lifting a hoof up, reaching out until she was a centimetre away from touching me… Just before she could however, I was surrounded by a red aura, blowing her away from me. I stood up, my aura aiding me in standing as I looked down at the little grey filly, who was now on her back and staring up me in fear, my shadow looming over her small, weak body, her breathing fast and shallow. “Y-you helped me escape from my stone prison…” I said, my voice incredibly horse from lack of use, “you shall be rewarded for this…” I stated, reaching out towards the filly with a gloved hand, causing her to squeeze her eyes shut, expecting the worst… Author's Note So, any advice? This is my first story after all, so I need all the constructive criticism I can get! (Also, the reason why Vetrix's crest only stopped appearing two hundred years ago was because was mostly unconcious during that time, otherwise his crest would occasionally appear when he was either probing the spell keeping him contained, or when trying to communicate with others, with mixed results.) //-------------------------------------------------------// A gift is granted… //-------------------------------------------------------// A gift is granted… I began lightly petting the foal on the head, right between her ears. She was clearly surprised by this, if her expression was anything to go by, yet she soon replaced that surprised expression with a calm smile, closing her cerulean eyes and leaning into my touch. Despite how adorable she was, I have been dead inside for a while, so cuteness didn’t exactly sway me anymore, a fact that didn’t bother me anymore. After a minute or so of constant head patting, I was suddenly reminded of the rain by a flash of lightning across the sky, the thunder arriving just a few seconds later, making the filly flinch at the sudden loud noise. In an instant, I created an invisible dome around us, not only blocking the rain from hitting us, but also blocking the cold, the temperature inside the dome rising to dry off the filly and I. While the heat was drying us off, I decided to introduce myself to the foal. “clears throat Greetings young one, I am Vetrix, God of Crests, what’s your name?” I asked the foal, looking down at the smaller filly, who was looking up at me in surprise and confusion. After a few seconds, she hesitantly answered my question. “M-my name’s Ice Blossom…” she replied quietly, I heard her just fine though, “Ice Blossom? That’s a lovely name.” I said kindly, clasping my hands behind my back. Her cerulean eyes widened slightly at my compliment, her ears turned towards me as she stared up at me, “Th-thank y-you…” she responded, looking at me like that was the first compliment she has ever received. I noticed her expression, but decided to ignore it for now, getting to the point, “Now, since you helped me escape, I, as the God of Crests, can bestow upon you a crest that can give you abilities slightly out of the norm for most crests,”, I informed her calmly, “So tell me, what kind of crest would you like?” I asked her, missing the confused expression she gave me when I mentioned crests. “U-um, sorry b-but, what’s a crest?” She asked in confusion, tilting her head slightly. I looked at her in confusion, before face-palming, my metal mask clanking slightly from the impact, “Ah, right, you ponies have been calling crests, ‘cutiemarks’ for a long time now,” I said in an exasperated tone, ”That name for crests is still completely stupid.” I added under my breath. Her cerulean eyes widened considerably when I said that, before asking in a hushed voice, “Y-you w-want t-to g-give me a c-cutiemark?” she had clear hope in her eyes, mixed with a healthy amount of skepticism. “Yes, one that shall grant you some abilities outside of what a natural cutiemark would grant you.” I responded calmly, noticing both the hope and skepticism in her eyes, “However, this comes at the cost of permanently overwriting your original destiny, so do be careful for what you wish for.” I added, my soft spot for children compelling me to make the pros and cons clear to her. She appeared to think it over briefly, before asking, “W-what a-are t-the o-other a-abilities t-that I w-would g-gain?” her eyes showing both curiosity and caution. I nodded, “Good, you’re asking the important questions.” I said calmly, resting my left hand on her head, “And I shall answer, by showing you.” I stated, activating my crest. Her cerulean eyes widened as they began glowing the same reddish-pink as my crest, allowing me to show her visions of the abilities she could gain, including her being able to fly without wings, use magic without a horn and the power to manifest powerful creatures, whom she would have complete control over. When the visions ended, her eyes stopped glowing and my crest faded beneath my glove, she then looked back up at me with hope and excitement clear in her face & body language. “So, allow me to ask you again,” I said, bending down at the waste to become eye level with the foal, my hands behind my back, “what kind of crest would you like?” I asked calmly, a kind smile on what little of my face she could see. She visibly reigned in her excitement and began really thinking about what she wanted her special talent to be, muttering to herself as she did so. When she finally came to a conclusion, she looked back up at me with excitement and said, “I want a special talent that can allow me to easily create connections with others!” Her cerulean eyes wide with hope. I smiled and stood straight again, before resting my left hand on her head, activating my crest. Her eyes once again began glowing a reddish-pink as a giant version of my crest also appeared below us, indicating that the ritual has begun. I watched as her eyes began shifting from a glowing reddish-pink to a glowing green, a crest appearing on her flank. https://camo.fimfiction.net/NGPD2otA2zRYqUzBb0QAGUaeT8PBiLgZsFGJ9ocJsRU?url=http%3A%2F%2Fimg3.wikia.nocookie.net%2F__cb20120219011751%2Fyugioh%2Fimages%2Fc%2Fcf%2FCrest_-_III.png Once the crest appeared, I knew it permanently altered her destiny, so permanent that not even the elements of harmony could undo what I have done. The ritual ended a few seconds after ensuring the permanence of her new crest, causing the giant version of my crest beneath us to fade, her eyes returning to their normal cerulean colour. Ice Blossom stumbled after the ritual ended, “Ugh, I feel funny.” she said in a nauseous tone, almost loosing her footing (Hoofing?). I swiftly steadied her with my hands, “Yeah, that happens when your destiny is overwritten, but it will fade soon.” I said, giving her a reassuring smile through my mask. While she was recovering, I lowered the temperature in the dome shaped barrier blocking the rain from touching us, as we were already dry by this point. The sudden drop in temperature seemed to help her shake of her remaining nausea, before her eyes widened in realisation, turning her head to look at her flank, seeing her new cutiemark(crest). The sight of her new cutiemark caused her to rear up on her hind legs and let out a high pitched whinny of joy, jumping in circles around me in her excitement, causing me to expand the barrier so that she didn’t crash into it. I allowed her to expend her excitement, as I did find her youthful enthusiasm endearing. When she finally calmed down, she was about to say something when thunder abruptly interrupted her, making her flinch while reminding her of the storm still going on outside the barrier. Deciding to take us somewhere dryer, I used my own crest’s connection to her cutiemark(crest) to peak into her memories so I could take her home. Once I found an image of her home, I focused on it and opened an overlay network leading to her home, causing us both to rapidly dematerialise and for our particles to get sucked into the portal, the portal closing behind us. The instant the portal was closed, the barrier blocking the rain disappeared, leaving little to no sign that anything was once there except an empty pedestal where I once stood. Author's Note Thoughts? Are there any mistakes I made in my sentences and/or paragraphs? Also, any thoughts on the story thus far? I still need a lot of constructive criticism to become more confident in my writing style. (Also, the reason I gave her Trey’s crest is because I intend for Vetrix to adopt her, either as a sister or a daughter, any thoughts on this decision?) //-------------------------------------------------------// The Fantastical Blossom Manor //-------------------------------------------------------// The Fantastical Blossom Manor Celestia was not having a good day. First the weather seemed to gain a mind of it's own, causing an unscheduled storm, followed by a powerful flash of pinkish light that carried a clear message, something very powerful has just awakened, and knowing her subjects luck, it'll probably be hostile. Lifting a hoof to massage her temples, she let out a weary sigh, slumping back into her throne, desperately hoping to Faust that whatever was currently happening wouldn't escalate to the point of harming her little ponies. Knowing better than to wait for the situation to fester, she has already sent out an order to the Royal Guard to be on high alert until further notice, whilst also sending one of her grounds keepers to check on the statues in the garden, wanting to be extra sure that Discord hasn't broken free again. As Celestia was effectively praying, Captain Shining Armour, leader of the Royal Guard, walk into the throne room and approached Celestia, prostrating himself once he reached the base of throne. "Princess, your order has been put into effect, squads of guards have been sent to watch over nearby towns while the rest prepare for potential attacks here in Canterlot." He reported firmly, nearly startling Celestia out of her skin, though she quickly recomposed herself, nodding at Shinning Armour with calm smile, "Thank you, Captain Armour, return to your duties and report to me as soon as you learn of any disturbance that may be related to the bright flash earlier." She ordered calmly, hoping that her intuition was wrong. Shinning Armour gave her a salute, before turning away and walking out of the throne room, leaving Celestia to once again dwell in her thoughts. By Faust, Celestia hoped that her intuition about the situation was wrong, last thing she wanted was for her little ponies to suffer more from her rash actions in the past. Hopefully, with any luck, all of the statues in the Canterlot Gardens were accounted for. With a sigh, she ordered for day court to begin, hoping that helping her little ponies would help take her mind off her own worries. The Overlay Network opened in front of a small, poorly maintained wooden hut, the small front garden filled with dead, dried up plants. Out from the Overlay Network, spilled thousands of tiny white particles, quickly coalescing into Ice Blossom and I, to which she stumbled after fully re-materialising, looking back at the Overlay Network as it closed behind us. "W-what was that?" She asked me softly, looking up at me with her curious cerulean eyes. I looked over and down at her, my hands clasped behind my back, "That, my dear Ice Blossom, was the Overlay Network, a parallel dimension that acts as a bridge between worlds and dimensions, a kind of shortcut between places." I informed her calmly, turning my attention to our surroundings with mild intrigue. We were currently in a clearing, surrounded by birch trees, with barely a sound coming from the bushes, besides the tweeting and faint singing of birds. I took note of how there was no wind, the clouds hanging in the sky, as if they were simply cotton balls suspended from the ceiling. The whole place just seemed, artificial, orderly, stagnant... While I admittedly admired the ponies for mastering the weather to the point of absolute control, one did tend to miss the feeling of a cool summers breeze, especially when one knew it was entirely natural. And while the bright colours of this world was pleasant and uplifting, I found myself wishing to see the more mute colours of my original world, a world that, while lacking in actual magic, more than made up for it with all those fantastical and moral teaching stories that I found lacking in this world. With a wistful sigh, I turned my attention to the hut before us, giving it a once over with my single, properly functioning eye, before glancing over at Ice Blossom. "So, this is what you call home?", I asked her calmly, barely keeping my displeasure for her current living conditions hidden, "Y-yes sir, it's not much, but it at least protects me from the rain!" She said nervously, laughing weakly at her own attempted optimism. I made a faint noise of thinly veiled displeasure, looking once again at the poorly maintained hut, it's rotting, water soaked frame growing a verity of fungi, and looked like it could barely hold itself up for longer than a few months at best. "This simply will not do." I stated bluntly, reaching out towards the hut with my left hand, my crest once again glowing on the back of my gloved hand with that daunting pinkish-red light https://camo.fimfiction.net/qdALScTnyUR6Ns9A5STFHuHBxQ3t_mZjcp1IR87fsyI?url=https%3A%2F%2Fencrypted-tbn0.gstatic.com%2Fimages%3Fq%3Dtbn%3AANd9GcSSWk9Pa6SG9oK0aqkrt3BK14yZZ2iFomfrt9YgRJP-j5MA9x3P-sYOmslw%26s%3D10 In moments, a giant version of the crest appeared on the ground beneath us, taking up the entire clearing and bathing the area with a pinkish-red glow, with the hut being in the centre of it. "Do you have anything you value inside?" I asked Ice Blossom, glancing over at her. She shook her head, looking around in awe, "Perfect." I stated, making dark purple ribbons that looked like strands of DNA emerge from the giant crest. The dark purple ribbons coiled like eels around the hut, binding themselves onto every piece of wood, rotted or not, until all that could be seen of the hut was a dark purple silhouette. Then, in an instant, the entangled hut shattered into thousands of marble-sized particles of purple energy, suspended in the air by the glow of the giant crest. More particles of dark purple energy rose up from the giant crest, joining the ones from the hut, until they numbered in the billions, nearly making the sky turn purple. The particles of energy began to convene in the centre of the giant crest, the particles merging into the silhouette of something far bigger then the decaying hut that was there before, solidifying into a more tangible shape, before the outer layer of purple energy shattered off what could only be described as a second empire style house, the purple shards of energy fading into nothing as the giant crest faded away, allowing the light of the sun to once again dominate the clearing. The house used Second Empire architecture from earth, it's red brics and rectangular windows making it look very pleasing to the eye. https://camo.fimfiction.net/g4G1Kda1YoyfeZNfqe1emImDZLchMsxgMJG70GpbilY?url=https%3A%2F%2Fencrypted-tbn0.gstatic.com%2Fimages%3Fq%3Dtbn%3AANd9GcT-YFw4JgUSeSpybd6JeRTxt_qUoNLjZqSGlKy5vMTBdG02-rpZetMzas4%26s%3D10 (This is what I'm failing to describe, but imagine Ice Blossom's crest carved into the Keystone on the archway leading to the front doors, and switch the green in the image with a dark grey.) I looked over at Ice Blossom, who looked amazed and exited by the house, "Welcome, Ice Blossom, to Blossom Manor, your new home." I said, feeling a little winded from that use of power, reminding myself that I still have to recover from the years trapped in stone. Ice Blossom looked at me, then at the house named after her, "I-is this place, really for me?" She asked in awe, not taking her eyes off the house. I nodded, "For you, your friends, and just about anyone you wish, provided that they don't have hostile intentions for those who reside within." I answered calmly, walking towards the front door, beckoning her to follow with a simple gesture. As we walked up the stairs of the porch, the copy of Ice Blossom's crest carved into the keystone above the archway began glowing a soft green, clearly responding to our presence, the doors slowly swinging inward, as if the house itself was welcoming us inside. Lights hanging from the ceiling slowly lit up the entrance, revealing a hardwood floor inside with a small carpet on the right side of a staircase that went up the left wall, the colouration of the light making the place look and feel inviting. https://camo.fimfiction.net/heGyrHfgQcigISCFaHkGwLVx9wY3uRJ1EsPenxmo2zI?url=https%3A%2F%2Fencrypted-tbn0.gstatic.com%2Fimages%3Fq%3Dtbn%3AANd9GcRACeuULuu2_tCdEqNKIGrX4Z-LLHmCOTZy0If5UOOXml9N4Fx-WxDPcKN9%26s%3D10 The air of the entryway felt cheerful, as if the house itself was happy to see us as we walked past the threshold of the door, the doors slowly swinging closed behind us after clearing the reach of the chiseled pieces of Ashwood. Ice Blossom looked around with glee at every speck of the entryway, letting out an exited whinny as she rushed past me and through a doorframe to the right of the small carpet. I calmly followed behind her, watching as she entered the loungeroom with a fireplace on my left and three rectangular windows on the wall to my right, allowing me to see the Birch trees of the woods surrounding the house. I looked back at the centre of the room, seeing two white cotton couches on either side of a mahogany wood coffee table and two armchairs of the same materials of the couches at the ends of the coffee table, all of which was atop a grey and white carpet, intricate patterns of Ice Blossom and my own crests, including religious symbolism from that cult that worshipped me a few hundred years ago, if only to commemorate their existence, imprinted on its surface. I chuckled as Ice Blossom jumped onto the couch on my right, not worried about the potential mess as magic made stains a trivial concern, so long as you stayed focused at least, otherwise you'd start a fire. "I take it that you like Blossom Manor thus far?" I asked, keenly aware of how she was most likely feeling. She turned to me with a massive ear-to-ear smile, her eyes shining with utter joy and excitement, "I LOVE IT!!!" She shouted to the heavens, standing up in her hind legs and waving her forelegs up and down like a hummingbird. The house seemed to like this response, the atmosphere of the house feeling a smidge lighter as if the house's already good mood was improved further. I chuckled at the sensation, Ice Blossom's crest glowing a gentle green as she sensed the house's mood, "I think Blossom Manor approves of your choice of words." I stated cheerfully, the house groaning in agreement. Ice Blossom looked around in amazement as she literally felt what the house was saying, understanding every groan and creak just as easily as she could understand her fellow ponies, "Woah, I think I can understand what Blan is saying..." She said, making me raise an eyebrow beneath my mask. "Blan?" I inquired, walking over to her as she sat down on the same couch she had been standing on moments before. Ice Blossom looked back at me, smiling that world healing smile of hers, "Yeah, it's short for Blossom Manor." She said, to which I barely held back a wince at the house's expense for being subject to a little filly's terrible naming sense. Blossom Manor seemed to like it though, groaning in agreement with the name, causing me to shrug, "It's your house kiddo, name it however you wish." I said, patting her head. "He." She said, making me glance back at her, looking into her rather serious eyes, "Blan is a he.". I processed this for a moment, before nodding, "Alright, he's your house kiddo, name him however you wish.", this seemed to satisfy her, her smile returning. Regardless, I decided to give Ice Blossom a tour of the lower and upper floors of the house, showing her everything from the basement down below to the princess tower at the very top, before showing her to her bedroom. https://camo.fimfiction.net/1zY-t9BWzt78brMIl9q8gnryWj31e4zdjlLGLjnrlR8?url=https%3A%2F%2Fencrypted-tbn0.gstatic.com%2Fimages%3Fq%3Dtbn%3AANd9GcRuE38LH_PcJw1y00lr1XRWBor1odExvJDNWZtFDA1anhCKm0Vi-bzarYI%26s%3D10 (Replace the green with a light pink and it's more or less the same room) Her immediate reaction was to rush in and jumped on the bed, ruffling the sheets in the process. I chuckled as I watched her jump on the bed like it was a trampoline, before looking up at the ceiling and saying, "Blan, could you please make Ice Blossom and I some scrambled eggs on toast for lunch, I'm certain she's famished, though I'm no better in all honesty." I chuckled, the house creaking in acceptance of the request, the sound of movement started downstairs, likely the kitchen utensils coming to life and beginning to prepare the things necessary for a perfect lunch of scrambled eggs on toast. Why are the utensils coming to life you ask? Because I thought it would be funny for the house to control everything its walls by animating them. I don't know where the idea came from, it just felt right. Ice Blossom heard the commotion and looked over at me, her eyes wide, "What's that noise?", she asked, clearly wanting answers. "That my dear, is the sound of Blan bringing the kitchen utensils to life in order to make us some lunch, want to see?" I asked her calmly, to which she nodded, walking up to my side and following me downstairs... Author's Note Hopefully you'll forgive the delay, family matters, I'm sure you understand. As always, hope I made your day(or night) just a little bit better and feel free to post your constructive criticism down below if you noticed any inconsistencies I have yet to notice, or any misspellings. Thanks and have a good one.:pinkiehappy: https://static.fimfiction.net/images/emoticons/pinkiehappy.png //-------------------------------------------------------// A Princess Learns of a God's Escape... //-------------------------------------------------------// A Princess Learns of a God's Escape... "Speech." "Thoughts." "ROYAL CANTERLOT VOICE!" Celestia was frozen in place, processing exactly what she had just heard from Shining Armour. "Which statue did you just say was missing?" Celestia asked the Captain of the Royal Guard, hoping that she misheard him. Shinning Armour held a stern expression as he repeated his report, "The statue of Vetrix, Corrupter of Cutiemarks, is missing, with a general sweep of the area surrounding the pedestal having thin shards of stone scattered around." He repeated seriously, watching as Princess Celestia was beginning to panic, before schooling her features and requesting for him to return to his duties. Shining Armour saluted to her before turning around and walking out the door of her throne room. The moment the doors closed behind him, Celestia teleported out of the throne room and reappeared in her little sister's bedroom, and promptly shook Luna like a maraca, waking her up very quickly. Luna was having a pleasant self-induced nightmare before waking up to Tia shaking her awake like a hollowed out gourd filled with a handful of beads, and promptly began using the royal Canterlot voice, "SISTER, IF THOU DOESN'T CEASE SHAKING US, WE WILL GIVE THEE NIGHTMARES FOR WEEKS!", her voice capable of being heard by everypony in Canterlot. The instant Celestia knew her sister was was awake, she dropped Luna and shut her mouth with her magic, "Luna, Vetrix is back and is likely biding his time until he is powerful enough to cause a disaster of unprecedented scale unless we find him and try to beg for forgiveness for my rash actions!", Celestia said rapidly, making Luna stare at her with a raised eyebrow, causing Celestia to release her magical hold on her sister's mouth. Now able to use her mouth again, she said, "Sister, we told thou back then that sealing him away was a bad idea.", her tone was blunt at her past self's intuition has once again been proven right. Celestia groaned at her sister's words, "I know, I was young, paranoid and inexcusably rash back then. I was so certain that his power was dangerous, that I didn't stop to think about what he had been using his powers for up until that point." She said, remembering how an entire alliance made up of ponies who he helped before his imprisonment sprung up and took his statue from under her nose, conspiring to free him, but never being able to break the seal the Elements of Harmony placed on him, leading to generation after generation going from simply revering Vetrix as a trusted friend, to full on worshiping him as a God. She eventually located them a few centuries ago, and managed to talk most of them out of worshiping Vetrix, the most fanatical of his self proclaimed followers running away and going into hiding, never to be seen or heard from again. Luna sighed, "Sister, the past is past, the only thing thou can do is make up for thou past mistakes." She said calmly, nuzzling her sister. Celestia reciprocated, but she couldn't shake this feeling in her gut that told her that Vetrix wasn't going to be forgiving of her past actions, regardless of how much she has changed since then. Meanwhile, little did the two sisters know, a single royal guard was eavesdropping on the conversation, but this guard wasn't like the others, in fact, he wasn't an actual guard at all. Believing he had heard enough, he walked away, pondering what to do with this information he had gained... After Blan (Blossom Manor) put on a little show for us while ~~it~~ He cooked us scrambled eggs on toast, I walked into the dining room and sat at the head of the table, with Ice Blossom sitting on the chair to my left. I watched in amusement as Blan set up the table by making the knives and forks literally dance onto the table and lay in front of us. The plates of scrambled eggs on toast danced over moments later, Ice Blossom's plate yodeling as it approached, whilst mine sung RULE BRITANNIA! Ahem. Pardon me, had a relapse there. Regardless, the plates ceased singing as soon as they were in front of us, to which we both said, "Thank you, Blan." before digging in, Ice Blossom foregoing the use of cutlery and just shoving her face into it, which I really should've expected. The foal lived alone and was definitely an orphan, so of course she lacked any table manners. I whistled to get her attention, causing her to pause mid bite, "Ice Blossom, the food isn't going anywhere, so please slow down before you get a stomach ache." I said calmly, deciding that Blan could teach her at least passable table manners over time, instead of trying to do so myself. A small blush dusted Ice Blossom's cheeks as she muttered a "sorry...", her mouth still full of eggs and toast, causing me to nearly cringe at the sight, though I successfully prevented myself from doing so. I offered a reassuring smile, " It's alright, you never had to eat with restraint before, I assume at least, so your actions are perfectly understandable, but do try to avoid inhaling your food next time." I said calmly, using my knife and fork to cut off a piece of egg and pop it into my mouth, my first taste of anything in centuries. Despite having the urge to cry, I successfully kept my features neutral, not wanting to cry in front of a little filly who was clearly having the best day ever. Once we finished our lunch, the plates and cutlery danced off the table and into the kitchen out of sight. I clasped my hands together and rested my chin on them, "So, Ice Blossom, is it alright if I stay here for a while?" I asked her calmly, to which she gave me a confused look, so I clarified, "This is still your home, Ice Blossom, you decide on who can stay and who can't.", I stated calmly, understanding blooming in her eyes, before saying, "You can stay, I don't want to be alone again...", she trailed off as she looked nervously at me. I offered her a reassuring smile while nodding, "Very well then, I'll be living here until further notice, you're still in charge though." I said calmly, my chair sliding back(courtesy of Blan), allowing me to stand up. I spent the rest of the day playing harmless games with Ice Blossom, which doubled as an exercise to remaster control my motor functions, as I may be able to walk, but running was a different story. You may judge, but keep in mind that I was trapped in stone for who knows how long, so I have to practice everything beyond the most basic stuff all over again. It sucked, but there wasn't much I could do for now, much less get my revenge on Celestia and her Sister. Oh yeah, you read that right, I have every intention of getting revenge on Sunbutt and Moonbutt, but my main aim was revenge on Sunbutt, as she was the one who I clearly remembered calling me an abomination and convincing her sister to use the Elements of Harmony on me, leading to all this happening. I couldn't remember much outside of how to use my powers, that I had built a city to call my own(the whereabouts of which were also lost to me, though I doubt the city still exists at this point.) and that a cult had formed around my statue many centuries ago, but I didn't care about my lost memories at this point, as a phrase I remembered from where I came from(wherever that is) said, no point in crying over spilled milk. It was an interesting phrase, the origin of which was also wholly lost on me, but since that one phrase was all I could really remember from my homeland, I held onto it's meaning with everything I had, the only thing stopping me from going completely insane in my prison. Before you ask, yes, I have indeed gone partially insane, a fact I was well aware of, having every intention of hiding my insanity from everyone except those who deserve to face said insanity, such as Celestia. I didn't want to drag those unrelated to my torment into unparalleled suffering, as that would only make others seek vengeance on me, as oftentimes one's enemies will have someone who cares about them enough to seek revenge on you for what one has done to said enemies. This mainly meant that I couldn't just march on into Canterlot castle and beat up the two celestial bitches, I would have to ruin their reputation, make their precious little ponies hate them to the point that their ponies will at least turn a blind eye when I finally deal them their punishments properly, and subject #1 on the list of ponies I needed to hate the Princesses, was Ice Blossom. Don't get me wrong, I had every intention of letting her live her life how she wants, the only thing I wanted from her was for her to hate Celestia at least one-one billionth of the hate I felt for the diarch. First things first though, I needed to learn as much as I could about the modern history of the diarchy, as the keys to victory can often be found in the past. Little did I know, my little use of my chaos magic earlier when creating Blan had caused many artistic depictions of my crest to glow the same pinkish-red light my crest did, alerting the fragmented cults devoted to me, in one way or another, that something was up, meaning that soon, I would be getting some fanatical visitors... Author's Note Yep, Vetrix is going to play the long game here, expect some form of shenanigans here and there in the future, but only in some chapter. Until the next chapter, peace ✌️
