Autumn, a beautiful time of year.

And this autumn a great gathering commences to celebrate the wedding of the century, and these days, there are more ponies than usual at the celebration.

“Caramel Apple! Put your sister down,” Butterscotch called to his son who was lifting his younger sibling too high.

“Sorry, Dad!” Caramel Apple said putting his toddler sister down, his sister Butters decided to name after his old self.

“Com’ere Fluttersky,” Red Gala beckoned her daughter over and she waddled over to Gala who scooped her up and held her.

“We’re almost there, be patient,” Butterscotch said kindly to his family as they made their way to the castle.

As they approached the castle they paused as they saw some familiar friends descending from above.

“Rainbow Bwitz! Soawin!” Fluttersky squealed as she saw her other friends arriving too.

“Look out! Hot stuff coming through!” Soarin and Blitz’s son Zoom swooped down and Gala had to duck.

“Zoom! Get back here and apologize to Red Gala, you almost hit her,” Soarin called.

“Yeah, you don’t see Flash nearly mowing ponies down,” Blitz gestured to his other son.

“So uncouth,” Flash said as he was reading a book mid-flight.

“Pay attention sweetie, or you’ll crash,” Soarin said.

“Hello guys,” Butterscotch said hugging Blitz as they landed.

“Hey there, Scotch, and I see you got my future trainee there, hey Sky,” Blitz said tickling Fluttersky’s hooves and she giggled.

“We were about to head in if yer ready,” Gala said.

“Bring it on!” Zoom said.

“Just behave around your friends Zoom, you too Flash” Soarin said.

“Ok,” Flash said.

“I will I will,” Zoom said.

Then Butterscotch opened the door and they entered a party.

Running past their parents Caramel Apple went over to a pair of kirins who were hanging out with their parents.

“It’ll be alright Ruby, I know you don’t go to many parties but I’m sure you’ll enjoy yourself,” Barbra told her daughter, Barbra had grown quite a bit, she wasn’t that much bigger than a typical dragon her age however.

“I-I know, this is a judgment-free zone, unlike Canterlot,” Ruby said nervously.

“Oh quit being so shy, wanna come play tag with the rest of us?” Sapphire her more confident sister asked.

Ruby smiled “Okay, as… long as I’m not it,” She said as she followed her.

“I must say, our daughters are like night and day,” Elusive said.

“Makes me wonder how the next few kids will be,” Barbra quipped rubbing her rounder tummy.

“Let us wait until they're born,” Elusive chuckled.

Thunderstrike was rocking a baby earth pony filly to sleep as her other two pegasus colts Red Wing and Cloud ran around playing with Barbra and Elusive's kids.

“Let’s hope they don’t break anythin,” Applejack said sitting by his wife tiredly.

“They running you ragged?” Thunderstrike asked.

“Definitely,” Applejack sighed looking at the blue and red pegasi playing tag in the play area with Ruby and Sapphire.

“Can’t wait until this little ball of energy can walk,” Thunderstrike said cooing at her daughter.

“Ah agree, then we’ll have three rowdy little ones,” AJ said with a chuckle.

“Tag your it!” Red Wing cheered as he tagged Ruby.

“I-I said I didn’t want to be it!” She said.

“Come on, it ain’t too hard,” Red Wing said as he ran and Ruby sighed and ran after him past Berry and Swiss who were making balloons with their son Lil Cheese.

“Woohoo! Balloon balloons!” Lil cheered as he made a pink one fly.

“Yay! Now let’s get this one blown up,” Swiss Cheese said as she handed him a green one.

“On it mom!” Lil began blowing into that one as well and with several puffs of air, another balloon joined the rest.

“He’s a little ball of energy alright, totally our son,” Berry chuckled as he somehow inflated three balloons at once.

“He’ll be a great party planner in the future,” Swiss said as Lil threw another balloon into the air.

“Whoohoo!” Lil cheered.

Observing the party were two alicorns one a filly with a pink mane with purple lines in it and a dark blue coat and another a colt with violet fur and a starry mane.

“Why aren’t you taking part?” Luna asked her daughter and son.

“I’m scared they want to be my friend only because I’m an alicorn…” Starry admitted.

“I’d rather read,” Evening Glow said as she was reading.

“Oh come now, there is more to life than books, and sweet but shy Starry, you’ll never get anywhere just sitting around, go and play, I am confident they will accept you,” Luna said.

“Ok, mama,” Starry said before getting up and walking off to join the party.

“More to life than books? Don’t let dad hear you say that,” Evening chuckled.

“Go on Evening, your only young once,” Luna said and Evening sighed before putting her book aside and walking to join the others in their game of tag.

The party was a success, everypony had a fun time, and the best part is Lil Cheese was the one who set it up, he certainly is his parent's child.

As everypony played and chatted a voice called and everypony turned to see Dusk.

“Hello everypony, let’s gather around,” Dusk said as they did so, Luna walked up beside him.

“I remember many years ago this day everything changed, I still can’t say what yet kids,” Dusk said which drew a disappointed ‘awww’ from the fillies and colts “But thinking back on it, I’m glad it happened, because thanks to it, you all came to be, and we’re no longer lonely, we became one big happy family,” Dusk said.

“Indeed, I remember a time when my beloved husband tried to ‘fix’ it too, but in the end he decided against it, and it made our future ever brighter,” Luna said.

“I want to say, if it weren’t for that accident, we’d never be at this point, and I’m glad that we are,” Dusk said with a smile “Now, is there a cake or what?” Dusk asked drawing a laugh from the crowd.

“I got it I got it!” Lil Cheese exclaimed before running off.

“Hold on there Lil Cheesie!” Berry ran off to help.

"Haha, I guess we'll need some extra cakes if just to feed the dragoness," Barb said with a giggle.

"Come now dear, I think a few slices will be adequate," Elusive said.

"We'll see about that dear," Barb chuckled.

"Oh don't worry, we bought in bulk for today," Cheese said before running off to join his family in prepping a new set of cakes for all the party ponies and dragon.

After the party, the group sat together at a row of chairs with a screen behind them.

“Alright, kids up front, Zoom stop pushing,” Dusk told the young blue colt.

“Alright, let’s do this!” Zoom cheered getting in front.

“I swear,” Flash sighed sitting beside his brash brother.

I-Is it ok for me to sit this close to the front?” Ruby asked.

“Come on!” Sapphire said bringing her sister out.

An orange colt held his sister “Ah got her,” Caramel Apple said.

“Come on Evening, you can read later,” Luna told her daughter.

“Ok ok,” Evening sighed.

“Starry, sit by me,” Luna told her son and he did so.

Lil Cheese bounced into the mane of his dad and poked his head out.

“Woot! Take the pic take the pic!” Lil cheered.

“Not yet honey,” Swiss cooed.

Thunder held Apple Blossom as Red and Cloud sat at her hooves.

“Alright, let’s make another memory,” AJ said holding Thunderstrike close.

“I’m booooored,” Red Wing complained.

“Be patient honey,” Thunderstrike said firmly to her hyperactive son.

“Alright everypony, think of something funny and look at the camera,” Dusk said activating the camera and running into place next to Luna.

Suddenly the camera slanted.

“Oh no!” Lil cried.

“I got it!” Discord said appearing and righting it.

“What about you Mr Discord?” Evening asked.

“Already there!” Discord said from the crowd.

“WOOOT!” Lil cheered and the countdown reached its end and they all posed and smiled as the camera went off.

The picture was put in the memory book along with all the others, closed and Dusk and Luna smiled at each other before laying back in bed with their son and daughter sleeping peacefully in bed with them.

“Goodnight my beloved princess,” Dusk said kissing Luna.

“And to you my beloved prince…. Say Dusk?” Luna asked.

“Yeah?” Dusk whispered so as not to disturb his children.

“You told me what happened on the day of the wedding eventually… do you still have any wish to return to normal?” Luna asked.

“We’ve been over this,” Dusk said.

“But I have seen your dreams,” Luna said.

“...Oh… Luna I want you to listen, I care deeply about you, and though I may dream of the past… I have a new future to look forward to, and I will never regret my choice to remain as I am,” Dusk said kissing Luna again.

“I see, I am glad to hear that, I hope we can enjoy more nights like this,” Luna said with a smile.

“Me too,” Dusk said.

“One more question and I won’t judge you, but when you came into this reality, was there another mare you thought of before we became a thing?” Luna asked.

“Luna, let me say this much,” Dusk said magically shutting the curtains and lying down with his family.

“I don’t need any other mare, when I have, my destined love,” Dusk said as the group drifted off to dreamland and awaited the next day in which their new lives may continue.

I will resume Fusion Life before going on to prep the next set of stories and remember...
