Apologies for the tardiness on this fic! Also the ending being... not as up to par as I wanted it. I had this originally done the day before my deadline, but when I went to post it during lunch at work I noticed the gdoc version on my phone wasn't complete. Issue was I had been working on it on my tablet at my father's house, so I had to go get it and pray it would sync once I turned it on.
Nope. I lost well over 2k words of work, mostly the sex scene. I fought all day to write what I had originally, and sadly it just doesn't feel like it's right. I'll try to come back to it one day and make it better, but I needed to at least get this out there.
AJ, I hope you at least enjoy this somewhat. I still feel bad and I'm sorry it's not up to my standards.

When it came to Ponyville, there weren’t many ponies who, when on their own, didn’t find some things scary, or even frightful. As a group, it only took one of these ponies to instill widespread panic and get half the town running for their lives from a stampede of small, fuzzy bunnies.
The Flower Sisters were the most notorious of these ponies; Daisy being the most extreme, followed by Lilly, and lastly Roseluck, whom was, strangely, the middle sister, and had grown the most mature of the three.
Then, when considering one of Equestria’s national heroines, they don’t typically associate a scaredy pony with the bravery that had gone on to defeat such beings as Discord, Tirek, or even Nightmare Moon.
Not only had she done those things, but she even reformed the God of Chaos, and they had tea every Tuesday.
So on that note, as Roseluck was the one sister with the levelest head (mostly), and arguably Fluttershy was the scardiest pony in town next to the flower sisters, it was a strange event that they somehow hooked up.
It wasn’t as obvious to themselves as it was everypony else, but by happenchance one day Fluttershy needed help with some of her flowers, and Roseluck needed help with their guard cat. So they saw each other a lot for several days in a row.
Then one day, the flowers were back to normal and so was the cat, but the two continued to meet up for lunch and chat. That eventually led to them sharing breakfast at Fluttershy’s, or Dinner with Roseluck’s sisters.
It was Lilly, the gossip of the three, who asked the faitful question.
“So when did you start dating Fluttershy?”
The middle sister was caught so off guard, her cheeks turned the color of her mane and she was lost for words.
It turned out, after questioning her sister, that Roseluck had been spending way more time with the butter yellow pegasus than she had realized to the point it was weird when she had a day she didn’t see her.
And yet, it didn’t feel weird, or wrong, or even bad. It was nice, and left the earth pony mare feeling warm and tingly with each encounter, and sad when they parted ways.
The question then, once Roseluck realized her feelings, was did Fluttershy share the same feelings? Was this one sided? Or was she herself overthinking this?
That was several months ago, and the answer she got, when finally confronting the pegasus, was a meep, blush, and as Rose began to apologize got her answer with a quick, small peck on her lips before Fluttershy hide behind her pink mane, face as red as her roses.
Now “officially” an item, both of whom’s friends and family were very supportive of (much to the chagrin of Discord, but he got over it quickly), it felt weird for both mares the first several times they went out together.
Since, you know, everypony knew they were an item before themselves.
The stares from most everypony in town were unnerving at first, but after a while, the two realized that nopony was frowning at them, or sneering or even rolling their eyes.
They smiled, were cheerful, and even commented how cute they were together.
After a while, it quit being an issue all together, and it was rare to see one mare without the other in town on a beautiful weekend afternoon. Sometimes, those afternoon get togethers bled into the evening, and as such for tonight, Roseluck found herself at Fluttershy’s, enjoying some wine and chit chat.
An hour into the night, the first boom of thunder shook the small cabin, causing both mares to jump, with Fluttershy going under the lounge she was laying upon.
“What was that?” Roseluck asked.
“Oh… oh my, probably another rogue storm cloud from the Everfree.”
“Another?”
“Yes, they happen from time to time.”
“And… you live with that?”
The pegasus mare nodded.
Before Rose could begin questioning further, the heavy thwacks of large droplets of rain began to hit the window and echo off the interior roof.
Sooner than expected, the outside had become a downpour of heavy rain and the booms of thunder.
“Oh, my, this sounds like a big one,” Fluttershy looked out the small window just above her couch, then set back down and tucked her wings in close.
“I don’t look forward to my walk home in this, then.”
Fluttershy shook her head. “No, no. These storms can last for hours, you can’t walk out in this! It is too dangerous.”
“So, what, I stay here?”
A tinge of pink bloomed upon Fluttershy’s cheeks, but with a look to the side she simply nodded.
“Okay, if you are sure. I can sleep on the couch and-”
There was a boom of thunder, and seconds later a flash outside the window.
Before either realized it, they were both hugging one another on the floor’s central rug, shaking like leaves on one of the trees outside.
“Um… Rose?”
“Yes, Flutters?”
“I don’t want to sound so… um…”
“Forward?”
“Yes. Um, would you…”
Another boom, another flash.
The next words out of each mare came out very fast, and very sure.
“Yes.”
“Okay.”
Shakily, the two mares stood, both keeping their barrels touching one another, as they briskly walked to the stairs. As they began climbing them, Fluttershy had instinctively placed her right wing over Rose’s back, and hugged her marefriend tightly.
With each creak and moan of hoof weight upon wood, the mares would tense, expecting another crackle or boom of nature outside. However, as a relief to each of them, they made it to Fluttershy’s bedroom with no further delay by cowering in fear.
Roseluck entered first, and as this was the first time the earth pony had seen her marefriend’s bedroom, she took the time to survey her surroundings.
“Oh, wow, that’s a big bed,” she blurted out.
“Yes, many of my woodland critters like to cuddle up in the winter months and sleep with me. I enjoy it.”
Rose could feel a smile, and blush, on her face as she asked her next question.
“And the warmer months?”
“Oh, um, usually just Angel Bunny, but he’s off with his new beau for the next month at least.”
Rose remained quiet as she watched the pegasus pull back the neatly folded bed comforter, then meekly jump in.
“Rose… would you like to… um…”
Even in the darkness, Rose could see her mare’s blushing face grow hotter.
“Of course.”
Gently, so not to spook her marefriend, Roseluck climbed up onto the bed, then laid down beside her. With a contented sigh, Fluttershy rested her chin on her forehooves, and took her left wing and draped it over Roseluck’s back.
“This is nice. I’ve never… well…” Fluttershy began, then stopped.
“Never what, Flutters?” Roseluck asked.
“Well, I’ve never… um… shared a bed… with… another… pony.”
At that, Roseluck raised a eyebrow. “Really? Never?”
Fluttershy shook her head, eyes closed in fear.
Sensing the situation, Rose took Fluttershy’s muzzle in her hoof, and brought her so they were facing each other. “Hey.”
Slowly, Fluttershy opened her eyes, and met her marefriend’s warm gaze.
“It’s okay. To tell you the truth, other than with my sisters… neither have I.”
“So… you mean you are…”
With a blush, Rose nodded, then, “and that would mean you are…”
With an even brighter blush, Fluttershy nodded.
Both mares laid on the bed quietly, Fluttershy’s wing still covering Rose’s back, and Rose now holding onto one of Fluttershy’s forehooves with her own.
As if sensing the pending tension, there was another boom of thunder, although not as intense as previous ones.
And this time, instead of sending shivers of fear through each of their spines, there was more of a thrill, excitement, that rattled in their bones.
“Hey, so I would like to try something…,” Roseluck began, then gulped, unsure, “but, if you don’t like it, don’t hesitate to tell me to… stop. Okay?”
Hesitantly, Fluttershy nodded.
Slowly, Rose leaned her muzzle towards her marefriend, and catching the hint Fluttershy followed suit, as this was something the two had… tried but not totally gone all the way with.
Closer and closer they got, until Fluttershy could feel the hot breath of her marefriend upon her own muzzle, and there was only a single second of hesitation before Rose darted forward, and the two kissed.
They say the first kiss is a magical experience, and while neither of them were unicorns, it held up to the expectation.
The booming thunder and heavy rain were forgotten as both mares found pure joy in the contact they shared. While nothing so daring as tongue battles took place, their lips were locked in what was considered a harmonic bliss. Fluttershy went so far as to take both of her wings and rub her marefriends back. Rose used her hooves, rubbing the base of her marefriend’s wings.
Each action got the desired response from each mare, as they moaned into one another.
What could have been hours, but in reality only a few minutes, both mares parted lips, a thin trail of spittle still connecting the two, although neither one noticed.
“Wow,” Roseluck said with a pant.
“Yes, that was… wow…” Fluttershy breathed, fighting her hot, blushing face from sending her into a cold shower.
The rain had become a constant outside stimuli, as the two stared at one another. The flashes of lightning still persisted, but the echoes and booms of thunder had begun to trickle down.
It was finally the pegasus who broke the silence.
“Rose?”
“Yes?”
The yellow mare had begun to rub her wings together between them, and she couldn’t keep eye contact for more than a second.
“Um… Would… you like to do… more?”
Of all the things Roseluck had expected, that was not one of them.
“I’m sorry?” Rose asked.
Mustering all of her courage, Fluttershy took a deep breath, then steeled herself, as she opened her forced closed eyes and stared down her marefriend.
“I asked… would you like to do more?”
“More what?”
With a huff, Fluttershy waved her wings, and it only took a couple seconds for Rose to smell the arousal from her marefriend.
“Oh… Oh that.” Now it was Rose who felt like the bashful one, as she never expected Fluttershy of all ponies to want to push things further in a relationship. “I’m… it would be nice?”
Fluttershy’s ears laid flat. “Just nice?”
Cursing herself, Rose realized that was the wrong thing to say.
“N-no, no not just nice. It would be… uh…” taking a deep breath, Rose exhaled, then grabbed both of Fluttershy’s shoulder’s with her hooves. “I’m sorry. Yes, it would be nice. I would like to do this… with you. I trust you, and I hope you trust… me.”
The pegasus had small tears in the corner of her eyes. “Of course I trust you, Rose.”
The way in which the butter yellow pegasus said those words was definite, and Rose felt no remorse, or fear, in her marefriend’s words.
Slowly, the two leaned towards one another again, and locked lips in a passionate kiss. Fluttershy’s wings, again, began roaming the earth pony’s back, while Rose’s forehooves began tracing circles along her pegasus’ back near her wing roots.
By this point, both mare’s arousal was pungent in the bedroom, and each knew what the other wanted, let alone themselves.
As brazen as the usually quiet pegasus had been prior, Rose was the first one to initiate the intimacy, as she took one of her forehooves and pressed it against Fluttershy’s chest, then kept pushing.

Rose blinked, and a quiet echo of a boom of thunder didn’t even make her flinch. “Huh, yeah. I guess being horny makes me… more brave?”
Fluttershy smiled. “I like that. It’s… kinda hot.”
The shy manner in which Fluttershy said that sentence was both adorable, and arousing for Rose, which should have been a conflict of interest in her own head, but decided to ignore it for more pressing matters.
“Now, you wanted to try my teats first? I can go back to yours too, if you’d like. Then we can have the main course.”
“That’s probably for the better. I was close, so maybe… when we get to that part again…”
Rose simply nodded, then dove for the two mounds of flesh that could, or maybe would one day, nurture a young foal.

“Like what?”
“Well, Zecora sells all kinds of potions, right? Might have something to make this a little more exciting.”
“How so?”
Roseluck grinned, then leaned over and whispered into her marefriend’s ear. Slowly, the pegasus’ face grew redder and redder, until she had to put a hoof to her own muzzle to stifle a gasp.
“That does sound exciting…” Fluttershy finally commented.
“Perfect. So, next rogue Everfree storm?”
Fluttershy’s ears twitched, only just now noticing the storm was long gone. Then, “Yes, any excuse to spend time with you. Especially if this is the outcome.”
Leaning over, Fluttershy gave Rose a peck on her muzzle, then Rose pressed her lips to Fluttershy’s, and the two made out for another few minutes. Before too long, the two drifted off to sleep, awaiting the next day’s adventures, and for once, Fluttershy looked forward to one of these random thunderstorms.
