My Little Pony: Harmony and Chaos

As Sunny and Twilight appeared back in front of the Brighthouse, everyone is instantly alarmed and confused when they see them… not fighting. Sunny's friends hesitantly walk up to them and look between the two alicorns before settling their gazes on their friend.

“Sunny…? Are you… ya know? Back to your normal self?” Pipp asks and Sunny nods before suddenly wrapping them all in a hug, which they quickly return, glad to have their friend back.

“I’m so sorry… I wasn’t myself before… but I’m ready to help stop Opaline at any cost… Well… any costs that aren’t as extreme as what I was trying to do earlier.” Sunny says, making everyone let out light chuckles which prompts her to join in.

“Glad to have you back Sunny… we thought we were gonna lose you.” Izzy says, smiling at Sunny and Sunny returns the smile… but not for very long as she looks down and frowns.

“I think I’ve been lost for a while now… but thanks to Twilight and… a new friend… I’ve finally found myself again… or at least I’m on the right path to it… But I’m happy to be able to do it with all of you.” Sunny says, causing all her friends to smile and hug her again which puts a prideful smile on Twilight's face. “Now… let’s go have a talk with Misty and get this mess sorted out.”

As Misty sat with her wrists tied together, she couldn’t help but be nervous and feel as if time was of the essence… which it was… for two reasons. The first one was that Opaline was probably already on her way to Maretime Bay right now with an army of dragons at her disposal. The second reason was because… Misty could feel the spell trying to take back control and it was getting stronger. She twiddles her thumbs nervously while looking around the room, dreading what was to come.

She’s so distracted that she jumps when she hears the door to the room open and she frowns when she sees the very ponies she betrayed walk in with angry and betrayed looks on their faces. She looks down as she realizes that… she was wrong to think that she was ready to face them. The following silence is deafening and nerve wracking and it seems to go on forever… until Sunny speaks up.

“So… based on the fact alone that you brought Sparky back, I’d say you’ve come to your senses?” Sunny asks, causing Misty to nod, still looking down at her tied wrists.

“I don’t know why I thought that was clear after our conversation in my head during… that awful night… but yeah. I… I finally realize that everything I’ve been doing up until now… has been wrong, and it’s been for nothing…” Misty says regretfully, causing Sunny to frown and look down before walking forward a bit.

“I know a little bit of how you feel. I recently almost made a mistake that… would’ve cost us everything. But it’s not too late Misty. We can fix this… together.” Sunny says, using her magic to untie Misty’s wrists, causing her to look shocked and look at her. Sunny just gives her a reassuring and forgiving smile along with the others as a sign that they forgive and trust Misty, or they will at least. Misty is so touched by this that she starts tearing up before running up to Sunny and giving her a hug, causing Sunny and the others to hug her back.

“I’m sorry… I’m so sorry! I… I promise that I’ll fight beside you all from now on. I’ll be one hundred percent honest and genuine.” Misty promises tearfully, causing the others to smile and hug her tighter. “Ummm and speaking of that… would now be a bad time to let you all know that I’m slowly losing control and if we don’t do something soon, the spell that made me do those horrible things to begin with is gonna turn me back into a killing machine?” Misty asks nervously and everyone looks shocked, worried, and horrified. Sunny then grows a determined look.

“We'll help you. But first we need to evacuate Maretime Bay and call in reinforcements. Since the Alicorns won’t help us, we’ll have to-“ She says but before she can finish her last sentence, they all hear the sound of magic and look behind them to see Brightburn walking towards them.

“Actually… we will help. You were right Sunny… I’ve been a coward this whole time, not for me but because I thought it was what I had to do to keep everyone safe. But… you reminded me that fear only stops you from doing the right thing… if you let it and if we just stood by while all of you were risking your lives to fight for Equestria again… then we don’t deserve to be Alicorns.” Brightburn says and Sunny frowns before smiling and suddenly picking her up in a bone crushing hug. “Owww… Honestly, I should’ve seen this coming. Gotta control those bear hugs Starscout.” Brightburn chuckles, causing Sunny to smile sheepishly and let her go.

“Sorry, but you should see Izzy's hugs. I swear they’d make you think she was part Alicorn.” Sunny says while smirking playfully at Izzy, causing her to blush and shrug with a quick mutter of “guilty as charged.” All her friends chuckle before Izzy suddenly goes wide eyed.

“Ooh! That reminds me!” She shouts before suddenly hugging Misty so tightly, they can practically hear her bones cracking. “Welcome to the Mane 5, Misty! Well… Mane 6 now!” Izzy says excitedly before putting Misty down, letting her stand there for a bit with a smile on her face… before falling over from the intensity of the hug. “Uhhh… oops.” Izzy says sheepishly, causing the others to chuckle and shake their heads as they help Misty up.

“I’ve taken some pretty hard hits… but somehow your hugs hurt more than those.” Misty says before chuckling and hugging Izzy back. They then all hear the door open and before they can even look to see who walked in, Sparky tackles Misty and hugs her face. “Sparky!” Misty says excitedly before hugging him back. “Hey little guy… I’m glad to see you too… but I can’t stay too long. We do need to evacuate everyone. Then after this is done I… I have to leave.” Misty says sadly, causing everyone to frown, confused.

“You don’t have to leave Misty. We could help you.” Pipp says, walking closer and grabbing one of Misty's hands, causing her to look at her.

“No… you can’t. There’s no helping me. This is all my fault to begin with. I drank the potion that put this spell on me. I stole Midnight's magic. I helped Opaline bring Ragnar back to life and I’m the reason she got her hands on Sparky in the first place. Why she even got the idea that dragonfire could restore her power… and now… Equestria's going to suffer because of me. A lot of creatures are going to suffer or die… because of me!” Misty says with anger and sadness in her voice.

“I don’t deserve your help, let alone your friendship… I had that and I took advantage of it… so many times. I mean… I even tried to kill Zipp.” She says as tears come to her eyes, revealing just how much guilt she was carrying and how afraid she was of all of it happening again.

“Misty… look at us.” Zipp says, causing Misty to hesitate a bit before complying. Zipp walks closer to her and grabs the hand that Pipp didn’t grab. “When you told us a bit about yourself… the pony who found you and saved you… that was Opaline wasn’t it?” She asks and Misty nods before Zipp continues. “So she was the one who trained you and the reason you have those bruises and scars. And if that’s true, it means you’re not a villain Misty, you never were… you were a victim. This whole time, you were someone who needed help but didn’t even know it. You thought you were saved already when you needed to be saved again.” Zipp explains and Misty shakes her head and looks down before pulling her hands away from the two sisters.

“I can’t accept that! I can’t view myself as a victim when I’ve hurt so many others for nothing! Not when it could happen again at any time!” Misty shouts and everyone realizes that for Misty to truly be free… they needed to get rid of that spell in her head. Sunny thinks of a plan then turns to the others.

“I know what to do. I’ll stay here with Misty and help her out, all of you need to go into town and start evacuating everypony. Brightburn, go get the alicorns ready and if Artemis and Thunderbird are still there, ask them if they can spare a few members of the Wings of Equestria to help us out. Askari and the others will aid you all. Twilight's already left to gather her friends, so they should be here soon too.” Sunny says and they all nod and head out to do their part. Sunny looks at Misty and holds a hand out while giving her a reassuring smile. “Let’s go clear your head Misty.” She says and Misty smiles nervously before taking her hand and following her.

“What do you need me to do?” Misty asks as Sunny leads her upstairs and to an elevator leading up to the room where the Unity Crystals currently were.

“You just need to close your eyes, relax, and trust me. Trust the others. And try not to let the spell get to you.” Sunny says as she makes Misty sit then lay back before Sunny goes above her head and places her hands on her temples, calling on her magic. Sunny closes her eyes, breathes in and out, then opens them and they’re glowing.

“I’ll take care of the rest…”

As the others frantically evacuated Maretime Bay, they were thankful that they now had help from the Alicorns, the Wings of Equestria, and the original Mane 6. They also had help from the princesses, the cutie mark crusaders, the Dazzlings, the Legion of Doom, and others. None of the citizens were very happy to know that they were being moved away from home without knowing what’s going on and thanks to Posey, that was about to make things worse.

“You know what?! I’ve had it!” Posey says before finding something to stand on getting the attention of the citizens of Maretime Bay. “We try so hard just to live our day to day lives, only for it to be put on hold due to our “heroes!” Now they won’t even tell us what’s going on or where they’re moving us to?!” She shouts, causing a lot of the crowd to agree. “Well, if they’re going to be protecting us, they should do it right. Do it the way Sheriff Hitch would! By the law and with no casualties! We’ve allowed Sunny to be in control for too long, now look what’s happening!” Posey shouts and once again, the crowd agrees which starts to make things harder for everyone else. Meanwhile, all the negativity was weakening the unity crystals and the original Mane 6.

Sunny groans in pain as the negativity makes magic start to glitch, including her own. Misty seems to share her pain while unconscious, scrunching her face up and groaning in pain. “S-Sorry Misty, it’s just becoming a little hard to focus.” She says, getting no response from Misty but knowing she heard her. “Just hang in there. That spell will be out of your head soon.” Sunny promises before getting back to doing what she was doing before.

Meanwhile, Posey was still getting the crowd all riled up while Sunny's friends and everyone else were trying to keep the peace. “Everyone calm down! We may not be protecting you in the way that you want, but it’s better than us not protecting you at all!” Hitch shouts with his megaphone in front of his mouth. “Whether you like us or not, we will always try our best to do right by you, but we need you to trust us! That’s all we ask in return! Just trust us and watch what we do!” He says, causing the crowd to calm down a little which serves to annoy Posey a lot.

“You say that now, but where’s Sunny?! Why are you all here and she’s not?!” Posey asks, which makes the crowd notice that the resident Alicorn of Maretime Bay was, in fact, not there.

“Right now, she’s giving everything she’s got to save somepony's life and give them a chance to live as a free pony. But she can’t do that with you all making everything so difficult with all this negativity!” Zipp says, looking deadly serious now which is enough to send chills up everyone's spines.

“Yeah! If you’re all not vibing and being positive, she gets weaker and sick! Too much negativity will kill her and the Mane 6!” Pipp shouts, gesturing to Twilight and her friends who all nod, confirming what she’s saying. That alone makes everyone feel terrible for their behavior… even Posey. Knowing that their actions hold so much weight makes them that much more eager to help out and comply with the orders they’re being given.

“So help us so we can help you. Just trust us, trust Sunny and we’ll save Equestria again just like we did before. Promise!” Izzy says, causing everyone to nod and start the evacuation back up. Posey sighs and starts following along before she suddenly stops and looks at Izzy and the others.

“Look, I know I’m very harsh, straightforward, and a bit self centered, and this may not mean anything but… I-“ Posey starts to say before an explosion destroys a few buildings and shakes all of Maretime Bay. Sunny feels it all the way from the Brighthouse and she looks in the distance, gaining a horrified look on her face when she sees hundreds of dragons along with a bunch of huge airships with both Midnight and Opaline's cutie marks on them. She also sees a pretty bad storm rolling in, possibly due to Storm Cutter’s powers. Opaline didn’t just wanna take over Maretime Bay… she wanted to wipe it off the map completely.

Sunny looks between Misty and Maretime Bay, torn between helping her friend or helping the others defend the innocent ponies who haven’t evacuated yet. Shit… what could she do?! She closes her eyes, gritting her teeth in frustration before shaking her head and slowly starting to use a different spell on Misty. “I’m sorry Misty, I really do wanna help you, but they need me out there. I’m hoping this spell will at least put the other one on hold until I get back. Unfortunately… she unknowingly made it easier for the spell to take over.

Meanwhile, the others were speeding up the evacuation while defending the citizens from enemy fire. No one was getting hurt or killed on their watch. Some of them were firing at the dragons and airships while others were shielding the civilians from incoming fire. The Dazzlings try singing to brainwash the dragons or any of Opaline's allies… but it doesn’t work.

“It’s no good! They must already be under the influence of a powerful spell!” Adagio yells down to everyone and they all realize that Opaline really did come prepared.

“That’s fine! We just need to hold them back long enough for the civilians to escape to safety! Keep fighting!” Twilight says as she fires a few powerful blasts of magic, incapacitating a few dragons and destroying a few of the airships. She’s about to do it again until she sees Opaline walk up to the front of one and glare at her menacingly. Twilight glares back as she notices the literal fire in Opaline's eyes as well as on her body and wings.

“Ironic, isn’t it Twilight Sparkle?!” Opaline yells, holding her arms out and gesturing to the chaos happening around them. “Celestia and Luna didn’t kill Midnight, and she came back to wreak havoc which cost you and your friends your loved ones! You didn’t kill her either which caused the same thing to happen to Sunny Starscout and many others! Same thing with me! Those two didn’t kill me and neither did you! And now… you’ll come to sorely regret that!” She says, the smugness clear in her voice and on her face along with the anger and burning hatred (No pun intended).

“I don’t think so! I stopped you once Opaline, and I’ll do it again! I won’t let you anywhere near Sunny or her friends!” Twilight yells before flying straight towards Opaline’s ship at full speed and preparing a powerful attack. Opaline smirks and prepares a powerful blast of magic and fire… but shoots it past Twilight. This makes Twilight stop and look towards where it’s headed. She grows a horrified look when an explosion destroys one of the now tallest buildings in Maretime Bay and it starts falling towards a few ponies in the crowd, including Posey. “No!” Twilight shouts and just as she tries using her magic, tendrils made of fire magic wrap around her and throw her into one of the ships. Opaline then watches as the building seems to crush the innocent ponies before they can escape.

She laughs evilly before preparing to fire at the city even more… until a very bright golden light shines from underneath the rubble of the fallen building, making her cover her eyes for a bit. Meanwhile, Posey and the other ponies slowly open their eyes to see Sunny holding up a huge part of the collapsed building and slowly lifting it up further.

“Everyone out! Quickly!” Sunny shouts once it’s high enough to make an opening for them. They waste no time in moving and helping each other out. Once they’re all clear, Sunny yells angrily and throws the destroyed building right towards Opaline’s ship with enough force to send it flying at an incredible speed for something so big. Opaline’s eyes recover just in time to see it coming but before she can do anything, it hits and destroys her ship, going through it and slamming into her which sends her flying back while going higher into the air. The shockwave also makes a bunch of her dragons crash into the ground, into the ocean, or into each other.

Opaline soon recovers and rights herself before flying back to where she was and preparing to fire a very powerful blast towards Maretime Bay until Twilight suddenly uppercuts her out of nowhere, sending her flying even higher into the air. Opaline recovers again and shakes her head before looking down and now seeing both Sunny and Twilight flying side by side and glaring up at her.

“This ends now Opaline! One way or another, this ends in defeat!” Sunny shouts, readying her magic which causes Twilight to do the same. Opaline just smirks as she readies her own.

“By all means then… LET US END THIS!!!” Opaline screams before flying down at both the princesses who dare stand in her way. They both charge back and send two powerful attacks at Opaline who responds with her own, the clash creating a shockwave that spreads for thousands of miles, signifying the long awaited battle between Harmony… and Chaos.
