Dawn's new day.

“The castle?” Rarity lets a dramatic sigh escape as she hold her foreleg to her forehead. “We should have gone as well.”

“Only problem is we weren’t invited.” Rainbow Dash chuckles as she sips her tea around the warm fireplace. “And Flutters is helping look after their farm.”

“It’s ok Rarity, Dawn did still send us gifts.” Fluttershy motioned towards the three presents sitting nearby. Their own gifts for each other right next to them.

“I wonder what he got us?” Rainbow grabbed her own and opened it up. “Oh sweet, Wonderbolt issued flight goggles.” Rainbow put them on.

“Oh, he got me a book on animal care and a mango.” Flutterbat licked her lips and bit into the fruit.

“A scarf? He got me a scarf?” Rarity held up the scarf in her magic. It wasn’t the best thing she had ever seen. It was lumpy in a few places and the design of her cutie mark wasn’t perfect. “Where in Equestria did he buy this tacky thing?”

“Um, Rarity…” Fluttershy tried speaking up.

“I mean seriously, I send him a lovely winter cap and he sends this?” She inspected it closely.

Just before she can toss it aside Rainbow stops her. “Maybe check the note first drama queen?”

Rarities eyes go wide and she tears up with guilt as she realizes what the gift actually is.

I know it’s not the best but I hope you like this hoofmade scarf. I know we don’t have too many similar interests, unlike the other fillies of our small herd, so I thought I would try knitting you something.

Rarity held the scarf to her cheek. “It’s lovely.”

Rainbow and Fluttershy shared a look and waited for her to calm down. Once Rarity was back to normal the three exchanged their own gifts and continued chatting about the holidays and other gossip from around Ponyville.
