But seriously how are things going in Ponyville? Is mom still helping you with your tricks?

School has been interesting. The princess is not teaching a class anymore but she still teaches Twilight and I of course. Also we finally get to learn some cool practical spells and stuff this year like basic teleporting instead of all the basics so maybe I’ll have some stuff to show off for you next time we see each other.

How are the animals doing? I heard about the recent outbreak of flu going around. Make sure you’re watching out if you go hunting and make sure to cook everything really well.

It was great seeing you both for new years and hanging out with the other Thestrals. Star Song really liked meeting you even if she was a bit jealous and tried wrestling you. I probably should have warned her you have wrestled a bear but I liked seeing you win. Lol(oh, that means ‘laughing out loud’. It’s something I’m trying out to convey emotion in letters.)

I hope business is going well for you. My mom’s mentioned that you have been more busy lately when they last visited. So hey I hope you liked my gift. It wasn’t my best work but knitting is much harder than I expected, even with magic.

Twilight and Trixie should be writing you as well since you’re the Ponyville lead. Just a warning if you read my letter first but theirs is a bit awkward.

Hi girls,

This letter is from Trixie and I - Twilight. We have something kind of awkward to ask. We were wondering if you would like us to join you in Ponyville for the spring ‘season’, ~~it’s customary for even trial herds to spend them together, especially the fillies dating back all the way before the celestial era~~ Trixie and I thought it would make for a good bonding experience. We both spent last season alone so wanted everypony of our herd to spend it together.

Aside from Dawn just yet.

“Oh my” Fluttershy blushed as she and the girls read the second letter meant for all of them.

“So do we invite them to cool off with us?” Rainbow wasn’t opposed.

“Of course we do. Dawn has already made it unofficially obvious that Twilight is his lead and she’s the one asking.” Rarity was still a bit hurt at how impersonal her letter ended compared to her fellow herd members. Sure none of us are ready to use ‘love’ but still. Rarity shook her head and remembered how she had initially treated Dawn’s gift and how like with Rainbow they were still working on something to bond more closely over.

Dash and Fluttershy both agreed so they got to thinking about how to reply.
