Adagio Sells Out
Adagio's Idea
Load Full StoryNext Chapter"Is this really all we have left?" Adagio asked as she looked in both the fridge and freezer and saw they only had maybe three days of food left in their whole apartment.
"Yeah, and we already used the money we had left to pay all of our bills. We probably only have like ten bucks at most to use right now," Aria replied giving a sigh.
"So, does this mean we have to get actual jobs?" Sonata asked as she finished her taco.
"Unfortunately, not like we can charm people like before," Adagio replied as she sat down on the couch.
"Well, even if we did get hired somewhere we wouldn't get paid until we've already run out of food and money," Aria pointed out.
"Actually, I have an idea for a job that'll hopefully get money the same day. But it's one that only takes one of us, so how about tomorrow you two start looking for normal jobs and I'll take care of this particular job," Adagio suggested making the other two look at each other in confusion and concern.
"Um, what is this other job though?" Sonata asked making Adagio roll her eyes.
"Don't worry about that, it's nothing that'll interest either of you anyway. But let's not worry about that right now, I'm going to go take a shower," Adagio answered as she went to the bathroom.
As she went to the bathroom and began undressing before turning on the shower and getting it to the perfect temperature. Once she got in and let the water wash over her she let out a sigh, she wasn't necessarily worried about telling them what the job was, it was that they might want to go with her. She wouldn't be worried about Aria as she could more than handle herself, it was Sonata.
It wasn't that Sonata was stupid or defenseless, it was her being a bit more naive than herself and Aria that concerned her. That, and all she really wanted was for them to live a normal life and hopefully, she'll be able to only do this a few times to earn the extra money before she could get a regular job. But tomorrow, she'll be selling herself and she figured it was a good thing she had already thought of this a while ago and did the research to find where the best to do it at.
Her main concern wouldn't be the clients as she was more than confident she would be able to handle herself, it was the other people selling themselves and their employers that concerned her a bit. But she had confidence that she could handle that side as well. As she thought about it though a shiver went through her despite the heat of the water wondering what kind of men, or even women she might get.
