A story about Amber (Thingpone) and Zecora. Amber is a former pony who fused with a broken alien shapeshifter. Amber's personality is partially pony and partially alien, giving her a strange personality, godlike shapeshifting ability and a weak sense of empathy, however her pony side allows this empathy to grow. Amber is in the forest hunting when she hears a cry for help. Curious, she goes to investigate and finds Zecora being gored and brutalized by a manticore. Will she help Zecora? It's important that she keep her shapeshifter nature a secret from ponies but perhaps her growing empathy will win out and allow her to help Zecora from being eaten by a manticore.

This story is about a powerful alien shapeshifter who struggles to form social bonds and a kind zebra who might just help those bonds to form. Leaning towards slice of life but with some spice.

Warning: Contains violence and vivid descriptions of gore and violence as well as some sexual fetishes.
