Fuck My Life
Chapter 15: The Wedding Of An Old Friend
Previous ChapterNext ChapterRogue returned to his home a month after Starfall had left him to figure out the rest of his training for the element of light by himself when he got through the door he found a pile of letters from over the last few months, most of them were party invites from Pinkie which he promptly binned, one letter was white with a small ribbon on it. "The hell, this doesn't look like one from Pinkie." Rogue thought as he opened the letter and read it to himself. "Invitation to the wedding of Coco Pommel and Jason Jones. Oh shit when is that." Rogue said checking the calendar in the kitchen. "Fuck it's tomorrow, I'll have to rush." Rogue said as he had a quick shower filled his duffel bag with clean clothes and his new tux and shoes and was gone again in just under an hour. Rogue flew to the resort where Jason and Coco had booked their wedding and arrived and landed just outside and was greeted by a member of staff.
"Hello sir are you here for the wedding?" The mare asked.
"Yes I am." Rogue said showing the mare the invite.
"This way, I'll get you signed in and then I'll show you to your room." the mare said showing Rogue in to the desk where he signed in and was then taken to his room.
"Do you know where I can find the groom?" Rogue asked as he put his bag by the bed.
"I think he's in room 117." The mare said as she left Rogue alone in the room, once he was done packing his things away into his room he went looking for Jason's room and found it on the top floor, he knocked the door twice and waited, after a moment the door was opened by a dark blue stallion with bright yellow main and tail wearing shorts and a t-shirt.
"Can I help you?" the stallion asked.
"I'm looking for Jason Jones." Rogue said looking the stallion in the eye.
"You know Jason?" the stallion asked a little bit surprised.
"Yeah, I've known him sins we were kids , and I'm his best man." Rogue said showing his invite.
"So you must be Rogue then? I'm Thunder-wing." The stallion said offering a hand that Rogue shook.
"One in the same." Rogue said shaking Thunder-wing's hand.
"Well it's nice to meet you Rogue, Jason has told us some incredible stuff about you." Thunder-wing said leading Rogue in and closing the door behind them, Thunder-wing rounded the corner first and Rogue followed seeing Jason with two other ponies and a griffon.
"A'yo it's your boy." Rogue said loudly getting the attention of the other occupants of the room.
"Rogue, you son of a bitch." Jason said walking over to Rogue as the two recreated the scene from the original Predator film where Dutch and Dillon flexed their muscles in a handshake.
Rogue pulled Jason's arm over to the side a bit and smirked. "What's the matter Jason, pushing too many pencils." Rogue said with a shit eating grin.
"Fuck you Rogue, leaving it to the last second to show up." Jason said struggling against Rogue's strength as he noticed Rogue's eyes were no longer red but blue again. "Wow, Rogue your eyes are blue again." Jason said letting go of the handshake.
"What?" Rogue said in disbelief.
"See for yourself." Jason said pointing at a mirror and Rogue walked over and looked at his reflection seeing a pair of eyes he actually recognized that he hadn't seen for coming up two years.
"I guess Starfall was right, it was my inner rage and hatred that made my magic turn my eyes red." Rogue thought as he looked back to Jason. "You know I didn't notice that until now." he added.
"Whatever Rogue, let me introduce you to Cliff Racer Thunder-wing's team mate, Stern Stone Coco's father and the griffin in the corner is Drago." Jason said introducing the group.
"Cool, so you guys replaced me and the old crew?" Rogue asked.
"More or less except for Stern Stone." Cliff Racer said with a smirk.
"Well let's hope this lot knows how to throw a punch at least." Rogue said as he crossed his arms.
"Oh I can throw a punch, in fact I bet I could throw you out of a ring." Drago said with a cocky smirk.
"Oh, tough guy, I'd like to see you try." Rogue said as his eyes started to glow.
"Chill out Rogue." Jason said.
"I am chill bro, I'm just messing with your new friends." Rogue said with a smirk.
"Rogue, these guys aren't like the old gang, keep it to yourself." Jason said looking a bit pissed at Rogue.
"Ok, message received Jason, I'll try not to be myself for the next 24 hours." Rogue said.
"Good, now let's celebrate my last few hours as an unmarried man." Jason said with a goofy grin and the two men, three stallions and one griffon spent the rest of that night drinking chatting and just having a good time before going to their respective room's at a respectable 9:40PM. The following morning Rogue and the others got up at 6:30AM and got ready for the wedding, by 10AM Jason was standing by the alter with Rogue stood next to him as his best man, when Coco arrived Rogue was surprised to see that Rarity was Coco's chief bride's maid but he didn't show it. After Coco and Jason said their I do's they went to the venue room, the wedding reception went on throughout the day and into the night, Jason and Coco had their first dance under the stars to the song loves in bloom, (apparently its a favorite at pony weddings). Everyone else joined after that, everyone except Rogue who instead just watched as he leaned up against the wall with his hands in his pockets.
"Aren't you going to join in?" Rarity asked as she walked up to him.
"Nah, I've always been better at fighting rather than dancing, besides I don't want to make a fool of myself." Rogue answered as he watched Jason having the time of his life.
"Well I for one didn't think you'd be here, when you didn't arrive with everyone else." Rarity said looking Rogue over as he wore the tux she made for him.
Rogue smirked to himself. "I am neither late or on time, I arrive precisely when I mean to." He said.
"I noticed." Rarity said.
"Is there a reason you're talking to me?" He asked as he watched the ponies around him dancing and laughing while they all mingled.
"I was going to ask for a dance, but I think I know what your going to say." Rarity said with a pout.
Rogue looked at her for a moment and then smirked. "Fuck no." He said and walked off without giving a damn, Rogue went off to get some fresh air away from the venue for a few minutes to cool off and look at the stars. "I guess things really won't be the same any more." He said to himself. Jason came out to see where Rogue had gone after half an hour and found him looking out over the lake.
"Hey man, taking a breather?" Jason asked as he stood next to Rogue.
"Yeah, I guess I just needed to have some space." Rogue said looking up at the night sky.
"Thanks for coming Rogue, it means a lot to me." Jason said as he and Rogue looked out over the reflection of the moon and stars on the lake. "You know something?" he asked.
"What." Rogue said.
"It just hit me that I'm married now." Jason said getting a little giddy.
"No shit, you tapped it and now you put a ring on it." Rogue said with a smirk.
"When are you going to put a ring on it?" Jason asked.
"Hopefully never." Rogue said with a chuckle.
"Forever single?" Jason asked.
"Damn right, I don't want to deal with the eventual divorce and loss of half of my shit." Rogue answered.
"It's not like you to be the better safe than sorry type." Jason said crossing his arms.
"That was before I had millions in the bank." Rogue said with a smirk, Jason looked at rogue ready to say something but the sound of a blood curdling scream and a roar coming from the wedding venue and with out even saying a word the two men ran back inside finding ponies panicking and screaming as a two full grown Moorwens attacked a group of guests.
"Rogue tell me that's not what I think it is?" Jason said parallelized with fear unable to move, Rogue waved is arm at the two Moorwens and a powerful gust of wind pulled the two beasts outside, Rogue ran after the two monsters throwing lightning at one like a spear while lashing at the other with a flame whip. The guests at the wedding started cheering as Rogue ran at the two Moorwens, he then stopped short raised his hands and fire a magic energy blast at each of the Moorwens hitting one in the head killing it instantly but the other jumped to the side and Rogue stomped his right foot on the ground hard making a sharp blade of stone burst up from under the Moorwen impaling it on a twenty five foot blade of sharp granite.
Rogue then looked back at everyone who was watching as his eyes went back to blue from metallic gold. "Is everyone ok?" Rogue asked looking at Jason.
"Yeah, I think most of the guests are fine, and a few have some nasty cuts but nothing serious, I don't think anyone died." Jason said walking over to Rogue almost speechless at how fast he dealt with the Moorwens.
"Where the hell did they come from?" Rogue asked as he walked back to the wedding venue.
"Jason, Rogue look." Coco said pointing at a large army of monsters and armored Anubis like anthro dogs marching towards Mainhatton being led by Umbra riding on top of a black crystal dragon.
"Who is that?" Jason asked pointing at Umbra.
"That's Umbra, the bitch I have a score to settle with." Rogue explained.
"Wait, that's the one who tried to enslave you?" Jason asked.
"Yeah she's the one, a total bitch." Rogue said looking at Jason and Coco then back to the army and he closed his eyes. "Fuck, I don't have much choice do I." he said as he realized what he had to do.
Jason looked at Rogue as he held his new wife in a close embrace. "What are you on about." Jason said looking at Rogue and he saw the determined look in Rogue's eyes.
"I have to stop that army Jason." Rogue said looking at his oldest friend. "At least until some back up comes." He added.
"But why you?" Coco asked.
"Because I'm the only one even remotely close enough who has the power to hold that army back until the cavalry comes." Rogue explained.
"Absolutely not, that's way too dangerous, even for you." Rarity said walking up from the venue. "We should go back to Ponyville and get the others and the Princesses." she added.
"By the time we do that it'll be too late to help anyone, so you go back and get your friends, I'll do what I can to hold this army back on my own." Rogue said teleporting back to his hotel room and changing clothes and shoes before teleporting back, when he returned Rogue was wearing black finger less tactical gloves, a black slim fit vest, dark green camo cargo trousers and black boots.
"You can't be serious bro, you'll get killed out there." Jason said sounding genuinely concerned for Rogue's safety.
"I'll be fine, just who the hell do you think I am." Rogue said with a no small amount of confidence as he raised a fist to Jason for a fist bump.
"I know exactly who you are, give them hell." Jason said fist bumping Rogue before he turned towards the army running towards it before casting his flight spell and kicked off towards the fight of his life.
