Most Foals have parents, Ponies that teach their foals skills, morals, life lessons, that raise and love them.

I am not most foals. I was carved, not born, the memory's of the carver stuffed into my head like I watched a "movie".

When a life of lies comes tumbling down and raised to the ground, I teleported into a land, where crystal and steel replace flesh and bone.

In that Empire of jewel and snow, I'll learn who I am, forged like the mace in the flames of death.

The more I've thought about it, the more I was bothered by the why that the Crystal Ponies were handled in the show, they have no culture (the crystaling invalids Crystal Ponies period, a "traditional mane style" is not enough and the festival was more a plot device then anything else). They lack anything unique to them, they are functionally, for all intents and proposes, fancy Earth Ponies. This story is my attempt to breath some uniqueness into the Crystal Ponies, they are actually silicone based, they live up to the title empire rather then a single city, their culture takes cues from general fantasy Dwarves, Romans, Mandalorians and Norse sources, plus a significant tech level gap between the crystal empire and the rest of the world.

Q: Why is both the adventure and slice of life tags being used?

A: Because the story contains both and I wasn't denied picking both, if I'm told to pick one or the other by staff I will remove one of them.

Warnings for mutilations both crystal and fleshy, crucifixion and optional sex scenes when the main cast is older, (will be their own separate chapters).

All Crystal Ponies are hermaphrodites in this story, this will be brought up multiple times in the story but nothing sexual will be mentoined outside of the optional sex scenes. I bring this up because some folks might not like hermaphrodites in general.
