Author's Note

So... It's... Been a while, I guess? I mostly don't write anymore... Massive writer's block that had hit me extremely hard for a very long time now. I... Think it hit me back in 2016? 2017? Every time I tried writing before I would just find myself staring blankly at the screen constantly erasing what I typed down or deleting stories almost immediately after due something stupid like the first wave of views being dislikes or the such. Things that are probably pathetic now that I look back at it.

Anyway, so this is my first... Come back story? My attempt to get back into it anyway.

I don't have any actual... Long-term plan for this story, never been good at planning that far ahead. I am admittedly winging this story a bit, but the idea actually becomes more clear as I write, so I ask you to please bear with me on this.

The story itself will be focusing on a couple of OCs, one of which you will be introduced to in the prologue. I will be completely fair in that I am unsure what will truly cross over with this story. The OC in this introduction isn't... Really the main character, but more of something that'll become more prominent further down the line.

So, feel free, if you so choose, to skip anything involving him if you dislike it, for he's... Well, the intro will explain... Hopefully.

I hope you all will enjoy this story I have decided to write. I am willing to accept any constructive criticism you got. I will not, however, respond to flames or similar negative comments. I will respond to those who wish to actually debate or converse about the story, but I won't be dragged into the more pointless arguments.

I sincerely hope that whoever reads this story enjoys.

Introduction

How many years has it been...

Those were the thoughts that constantly flowed through his head these days.

Ever since that day, oh so long ago, when he found himself in this new reality.

His name... His name was...

He couldn't even remember anymore...

Even his age...

He will remember eventually, he always did.

Didn't mean it bothered him when he ran into these small moments.

So... What was it he could remember then...

He was... Immortal, right. But different as well. A wanderer too.

He wandered through many different worlds... Living different lives... Reincarnation... Did that mean he wasn't really immortal? Hard to remember.

He remembered the many adventures at least.

Removing the threat of the Root from all the worlds with the Keeper of the Labyrinth and Clementine.

His journey in the Mojave Wasteland as Courier Six, hunting down Benny, then aiding the NCR in securing the dam.

His time as Commander Shepard, stopping the reapers, and being left with a choice on how to end the threat, with none of the choices really giving him much hope.

Finding himself in a carriage to Helgen, and a rather... Bizarre adventure after considering what he witnessed before... No, not really, but he might've been out of it in that journey.

His time as a pilot for the Militia, where he and his Titan fought for the frontier.

Vague memories as a Spartan-III... Noble Six? No, that spartan was better than him at the time... He was probably some no name then...

A Guardian... A Titan he believes... Awoke during the Scarlet Keep, and last he remembered... Titan, right.

He couldn't even remember which of them were his memories and which were memories he just woke up with at one point.

Troublesome...

As for his other memories...

Right. His name was Ethan... Ethan Mason.

Felt like he was thrown through the ringer though, likely the meddling of some higher power, wouldn't surprise him really.

As for his age... Huh... Still not remembering... Probably meant he was really old then... But... Ah, likely a long period between his adventures, that'd explain it.

He could feel his senses returning to him as well, that's a good sign... Maybe.

No, no his senses aren't returning... Not normally at least... Why...

Ah...

More memories, many more. He was... His journey came to an end, yes... Then why...

His soul, fragmented, that's right... Each fragment got sent somewhere different... Likely making their own lives then... Would that make them his children in a sense? Possibly... But not in the normal sense if it did.

He could actually see through the eyes of each fragment though... Well, if that was the case, then at least he won't be bored in this endless black abyss around him. He'll simply watch then, possibly offer any aid to their journey if he could, likely just as a guide or something, depending on where they were and how much lined up with his memories anyway.

Not like he could do much else anyway.
