//-------------------------------------------------------// The Secret Savior -by SC00TABL00M- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// Prolouge //-------------------------------------------------------// Prolouge Prolouge: Luna...Princess of The Night....leader of the Lunar Republic, stood on the doorstep of Green Oaks Library, leaving behind a part of her life that she only trusted with the Elements of Harmony, a child. Shade, the rightful heir to Luna's throne. the sleeping filly knew nothing of the disasterous world around her. The only thing she knew was her current dream world. Luna left it up to the six ponies that had saved her from the monsterous Nightmare Moon, to raise her child. Shade was now under the care of Twilight Sparkle. The former student of the once great Princess Celestia now only answered to one pony and one pony only, Luna. "Twilight i would not ask this of you if it were not of utter importance. You must take Shade and raise her. this is my final wish of you before i leave. if i cannot stop Celestia in her present state, then you must be Shade's mother." Luna commanded Twilight, who looked dumbfounded by this sudden outburst, merely nodded in response to Luna.  "Twilight..i know this is hard but i am sorry. Goodbye. Before she departed she took one final look at her daughter and started crying, for she knew she would never see her again. It was on this night that Princess luna met her end, and she knew it. Celestia had become one with Nightmare Moon, she had to be stopped. Luna knew how difficult her task would be but it had to be done. Celestia had become pure, unrestrained evil. Nothing stood in her way until the Republic formed. Even though they were no more than a band of misfits, they knew what to fight for, and why to fight for it. Luna had given them all hope. Hope is like a rare treasure in times such as these. Nopony should ever have to endure the pains caused by this war between the Solar Empire and the Lunar Republic. Those who had been loyal to Celestia had stayed with her, corrupted by her insanity. Others who believed she was wrong and openly opposed her were met with a loving embrace by the Republic. But none of that would help Luna now. She would die in this fight and hopefully she would take her tyrant sister with her. //-------------------------------------------------------// 5 Months Later //-------------------------------------------------------// 5 Months Later 5 Months Later: 5 months have passed since Luna's sacrifice. The night hasnt been the same without her. Wineter seems harder without her to comfort everypony. "Happy Birthday mommy...." Shade stood above her mothers grave, crying, beside her were her best friends Scootaloo, Applebloom, and Sweetie Belle. The Cutie Mark Crusaders had a crucial part in the war. They recruited those who would join them. They had been Shade's closest friends since the decleration of the "Fall of The Moon Festival" Celestia had made her sister's death a national holiday. Shade's tears fell into the snow above her mother's tombstone, she had barely knew her mother when she went away. Shade's life had been harder than anypony her age should ever have to bear. She was the only light left for the Lunar Republic, now nothing more than a resistance. Shade had become to them what Luna once was. But in her eyes, she could never be as great as her mother once was. The grey, braided blue maned alicorn filly had nthing but a memory of a mother to keep her warm at night. Few could sympathize with her. Not many ponies knew what it was like to grow up without any parents at all. Only Scootaloo knew that pain. Only Scootaloo could offer her hoof to Shade in a time of need. "C'mon Shade. We best be gettin' back to the camp before the blizzard." Applebloomfinally said after a seemingy never ending silence. Sweetie Bell and Scootaloo nodded in agreement as Shade lit her horn and used the teleportation spell Twilight had taught her. She used it often for transportation. Despite being an alicorn who was trained by Rainbow Dash and Spitfire in flight never flew unless completely necessary. While almost everypony in the Resistance did not understand why she never flew, Twilight Sparkle did. She encouraged Shade to fly but no matter what her efforts were Shade never took fligh. Her wings reminded her too much of her mother. she didn't like to look at them. Her grey feathers tinted with Luna's midnight blue color made Shade hurt too much to fly. "Shade..I'm sorry... she never meant for any of ths to happen. You're too young to be involved...yet you are exactly what we need. You know that.." Twilight told her with a weak look in her eyes. Shade just looked at her, tears in her eyes, and said "I love you Twilight. Thank you for all you have done to keep my mother's memory intact. When this is all over, if we are not all dead, you will recieve the highest honr anypony could ever recieve. You will sit by me as Princess of the Sun." Twilight merely smiled in response and hugged the closest thing to a daughter she'd ever know. War had darkendTwilight Sparkle, her purple mane now died completely black. All of the Elements of Harmony had changed. Pinkie had permenantly become Pinkamena, she rarely ever smiled anymore. Rainbow Dash had become cold and distant, but still loyal to Luna's cause. Applejack had become heartless, only caring for her closest friends. Rarity had become mute, though still a proper lady. she now had no care for being a bloody mess. Fluttershy, the once kind pegasus had now become the most deadly weapon the Reupublic had. She had become a killing machine, Celestia's torture and magic saw to that. Fluttershy's mind had become warped, she could no onger tell what was real apart from her friends.
