I stood there about to tell the idiot blue unicorn about Janice’s true identity, when she widens her eyes and says, “Uh, that sounds interesting, but could you come back later please? My Misty Bear and I wanna snuggle just a bit more!”

I smile when I think about all of the nice hugs me and my new marefriend have had and whisper back, “Very well! I shall come back in an hour!” before enveloping my body in a bright blue light to teleport back to her house!

As the light encased me, I suddenly began to wonder when I began to care about others and their wishes?

As the light faded, I found myself in Janice’s living room, once again… I call out, “Janice? Are you still here?”

And then, I trotted towards the back hallway as I began to think about what happened between me and Izzy…

I know what it’s like to love now… And I wanted to allow that for Izzy… I think to myself as I trot towards her bedroom in the back…

I use my magick to open the door at the back right and peer in to see a sleeping blue alicorn with a sky-blue coat and a wispy white mane, draped over her pillow as she snoozed on the bed… I could see how the blankets were raised with her wings underneath and how peaceful she looked… Honestly, she looked really cute right then!

I smile when I think of Izzy snuggling her love… I then lower it as I glare at the other pony and I begin to wonder what I can get away with?

I open my eyes to feel hooves over my body and I feel a distinct and comforting warmth coming from behind me… I somehow just know this is Opaline…

I smile when I think about how she finally worked up the courage to snuggle me… She was so stand-offish when she first learned who I was!

“Un!” I hear her grunt from behind me!

“I see you’re braver now, Opaline!” I say with a grin on my face!

Her hooves lighten their hold on me as she asks, “This isn’t clingy is it?”

“Shut up and hold me!” I tell her!

“I-I’m sorry…”

My smile lowers, “For what?” I ask her.

“It’s just that well, when you’ve been alive for several millennia and haven’t really known love…”

I furrow my brow, “And that’s exactly why you need to be holding me!”

“W-what?”

I smile again as I explain to the fire alicorn, “You weren’t loved before! But now you are and you need to be soaking that up!” while hoping she’ll just buy it and hold me already!

I feel her hooves coming off of me!

“What are you doing Opaline?”

“I-I’m sorry! I don’t think this is right…”

I then sternly say in a commanding voice, “Opaline, that’s foolish! If you want to hold me and love me, you’re absolutely entitled to! Now put your hooves back over me!”

I patiently wait… And I soon feel hooves going over my body again and I grin widely at my victory…

“Any idea what that was about?” I hear the voice say on the speaker…

“No idea! It was about Janice though! But uh, well… “

“We couldn’t right then! We had Misty Bear, remember?”

“Wait! When did we start calling her Misty Bear?”

I stare at the screen thinking that might be more interesting…

I playfully nuzzle the back of her neck… I don’t know why, but doing that always makes me feel good!

“Unn…” I hear her groan in front of me, still held in my hooves…

I close my eyes and snuggle into her to feel her warm body near mine…

“What time is it?”

“Time for you to get a watch!” I say before snickering.

“I’m serious! We need to check up on Opaline!”

“Oh, she’s fine! She was just here!”

“What? Why didn’t you wake me?”

I open my eyes and frown, “Was I supposed to? Besides, you looked so cute there, snuggling me!”

“Where is she now?”

“Don’t know! She teleported!”

Misty is silent for a moment…

It finally dawns on me what’s going on, “You’re not her servant anymore, you know?”

She sighs, “Well, I know that! Of course! It’s just that well, I wanted to make sure she was okay… ‘

“You care about Opaline?”

Misty is silent… “Well, yeah! I uh, I guess I do? It’s just that, she’s been alone her whole life!”

“And now she has something like what we have?”

She snuggles tighter to me, “Well, I just think she wouldn’t be so mean all the time if she just, well, had somepony to love, you know?”

“Like we do!”

“Well, yeah!”

I hold her tighter, “So we should probably do our best to make sure this relationship works out then? I mean, if she’s not mean anymore, then she won’t pose a threat to Equestria!”

Misty suddenly says, “Right! We need to get Opaline laid so she’ll be nice and won’t try to take over Equestria!”

“MISTY! That’s pretty blunt!” I say, surprised it’s me of all ponies saying this to her!

“But I’m right!” She says before nodding her head!

I can’t help but chuckle and shake my head, “Alright, fine Misty! We’ll make sure Opaline falls in love! For the good of Equestria!”

Suddenly, I hear a feminine voice from behind the green couch where we’re currently snuggling, “I hope I’m not interrupting anything?”

I hold Misty tightly for one final squeeze! “That’s okay! I was just wrapping up!”

“EEP!” Misty cutely yelps!

Suddenly, I see a sky-blue alicorn step around the chair on the right… She has a sky-blue coat and seems to stare deep into my soul with her green eyes. I note her wispy white mane and tail although her wings are almost white, but still blue I think? She smiles at me, “Permit me to introduce myself! I’m Janice!”

I blink with my neck craned her way and say, “I thought you were a unicorn?”

She rolls her eyes, “Yes! You and all of Bridlewood! I’ve seen you before! Your name is Izzy and you used to be the weird unicorn near the edge of town!”

I nod, “Yup! That’s me! You’ve been in Bridlewood before!”

Misty finally says, “W-wait! You’re also an alicorn?”

She smiles wider, “Well, yes! You see, I’ve been following Opaline to figure out where she goes and that led me here, with you!”

I frown, “You don’t really seem to trust Opaline that much?”

She frowns, “Was I not supposed to do that? I’ve never been in a relationship before!”

Misty finally chimes in loudly, “Lot of that going around!”

I say, “If you’re an alicorn, why haven’t we heard of you?”

Her mouth normalizes, “Well, probably because I was disguising myself as a unicorn?”

I giggle at my silliness! “Oh, yeah! That makes sense! I mean, if there’s another unicorn in Bridlewood, we’re not gonna hear about it!”

Misty says, “Izzy! You know what this means, right?”

I look down, “Tea?”

I look down at her, “You seem to like drinking tea?”

“Raspberries!” She happily says!

“I’m getting kinda tired of that, though!”

“Please!” She retorts cutely!

I smile and giggle, “Alright, fine! One last time! But I’m making honey chai next time!”

She vibrates, “Yay!”

I see Izzy on my right asking Janice the obvious question, “What happened to Opaline? I figured she’d be with you?”

The blue alicorn sighs and stares at me with those striking green eyes of hers, “Well, that’s the thing! She wasn’t there when I woke up and I assumed she’d be here with you!”

“But she’s not!” Izzy says before taking a cautious sip of her tea…

I take that as a sign and take a slow gentle sip myself… This stuff is really yummy!

Izzy asks, “So wait! You fell asleep with Opaline and then you woke up and she was gone?”

She nods, “Well, right!” she sighs again. “Permit me to introduce myself! My name is Terramore and I am a water alicorn!”

I blink, “Whoa! Water alicorn? Uh, where did you come from, anyway?”

She sighs, “A land far to the south! Past a lot of jungles, what used to be a town I think, and a lot of ocean!”

“You know the route?”

“I did just travel it, you know?”

“How do you know you’re a water alicorn?”

She sighs, rolls her eyes, and suddenly disappears and a mist suddenly surrounds us as we see thickclouds overhead near the ceiling!

I shout, “I believe you! Just don’t make it rain!”

Suddenly, the mist disappears and we once again see her sitting at the chair in front of Izzy, with a smile on her snout! “I won't!”

I stare at her intently, “Okay, but, why did you go to Bridlewood?”

She blinks, “Well, I’ve never been to Equestria and wanted to explore!”

“Why Equestria?”

She stares at me intently, “Do you have any idea how boring eternal life is? I wanted to see what was out there! And well, that’s when I found this place!”

“So how did you get a job in Bridlewood?”

“It’s easy to work in a bookstore when you’re the only pony for miles who understands the Pony Decimal System!”

I smile, “I can imagine!” before adjusting my gaze to get closer, “So, how did you fall in love with Opaline, anyway?”

Izzy smiles and nods, “Yeah! I wanna hear about that!”

She smiles before taking a sip of her tea… She lightly sets down the cup on her saucer and says, “Oh, that is tasty! Uh, “she adjusts her gaze to Izzy. “truth be told, I never really thought anypony could make me happy until she started talking to me!”

“AWWWW!” I faun over her. “What was the first thing she said?”

Her eyes widen, “Well, at first, she was all business and asked about a first edition of Fillies to Mares! Why, I haven’t seen one in years, but well, I just wanted to help her look…”

Izzy says, “That must be because you didn’t want her to go so fast?”

Her snout frowns while her eyes widen, “I don’t know? I guess?”

I say, “Well, it’s obvious! You knew you didn’t have the book, but you searched anyway, so she wouldn’t go!” before leaning closer with a smile on my face. “So, what made you want her to stay?”

She takes another tentative sip from her tea and I can tell by this point that she’s just stalling, before gently setting it down again, “Well, I’m not sure? There was something about her?” before frowning and turning her eyes skyward.

“Was she forceful or mean to you at all?”

She blinks, normalizes her face, and stares at me, “Um, no! Not that I remember?”

“So, you got nice Opaline?”

She frowns again, “Nice Opaline?”

Izzy says, “Well, what Misty Bear here means is, she was really evil and cruel before!”

I say, “But she was nice to you!”

Izzy adds, “Which can only mean that she also likes you!”

She blinks again, “From the very beginning?”

I nod, “Well, yeah!”

Without warning, everypony in the room hears a haughty feminine voice calling out, “Izzy? Misty? Are you here?”

I look at Izzy, “I’ll deal with Opaline! You brew another tea!”

She stares back, “Right!” before looking at Terramore, “Stop drinking your tea now, Terry! I need to make some more!”
