Vigilantes, friend not sidekick
THE beginning
“GET THAT pony!” the royal guard Captain bellowed, her voice echoing through the corridors of the Canterlot Castle.
“We’re trying, Miss,” panted one of the Royal Guards, sprinting alongside the Captain. Sweat glistened on their brows as they raced through the castle’s elegant halls.
“Well, try harder! The pony IS GETTING AWAY,” Captain Thunderhoof snapped. “Shining Armor!”
Shining Armor, a seasoned Royal Guard, halted in his tracks, turning to face Captain Thunderhoof. “Yes, Captain?”
“We’ve got direct orders from Princess Celestia herself,” the Captain declared, her brow furrowed with frustration. “And we were not able to go ahead and catch the pony that we were told to catch!”
Shining Armor’s expression mirrored the Captain’s frustration. “Since we didn’t catch the pony, we’ll have to tell Princess Celestia that we didn’t do what her orders were.”
“Newbie!” Captain Thunderhoof shouted, addressing the panting guard who had been with them. “Ok, Miss!” the newbie stammered, gulping nervously.
Meanwhile, in the winding alleys of Canterlot, the mysterious vigilante had finally managed to elude the relentless pursuit of the royal guards. She leaned against a shadowy corner, hidden from view, and took a deep breath.
“I don’t know why they go after me,” she muttered to himself, adjusting his hooded cloak. “Even though I save people when they don’t do their job! They get on my nerves.”
The vigilante was known throughout Canterlot as a protector of the innocent, a figure who appeared when all hope seemed lost. She wore a distinctive outfit, a green cloak with a mask that concealed her identity, and she had earned the admiration of many for her courage.
With a sigh, she decided it was time to return to the center of Canterlot, where she operated from a hidden base. As she moved through the city’s labyrinthine streets, she couldn’t help but wonder about the royal guards’ relentless pursuit.
Back at the Canterlot Castle, Captain Thunderhoof and Shining Armor stood before Princess Celestia, their expressions somber.
“Your Highness,” Captain Thunderhoof began, “we regret to inform you that we were unable to apprehend the pony you ordered us to catch.”
Princess Celestia, her regal presence illuminated by the warm sunlight streaming through the castle windows, regarded them with a mixture of understanding and concern. “I see,” she said softly. “I had hoped this matter would be resolved peacefully.”
“We did everything in our power, Princess,” Shining Armor added, his voice earnest. “But the pony proved elusive.”
Princess Celestia nodded, her gaze shifting to the bustling city beyond the castle walls. “Very well. Thank you for your efforts.”
As Captain Thunderhoof and Shining Armor left the Princess’s chambers, they couldn’t help but feel a sense of frustration. It wasn’t often that they failed to carry out their orders, and this case had left them perplexed.
Meanwhile, the vigilante returned to her hidden base in the heart of Canterlot. The walls were adorned with newspaper clippings and sketches, a testament to the lives she had saved and the impact she had on the city’s residents.
She knew that the royal guards would continue their pursuit, but she couldn’t let that deter her. Her vigilante outfit, as the people had come to call it, symbolized her unwavering commitment to justice. And as long as injustice existed, she would be there, ready to protect the innocent and inspire hope in the hearts of the citizens of Canterlot.
With the city’s chaos simmering in the background, the vigilante prepared to embark on yet another night of daring deeds, hoping that one day, the royal guards would understand her and join her. But right now she had to meet her friend
“Hello Twilight, how are you doing today? I got some groceries for us,” Fluttershy greeted, carrying a couple of bags into Twilight’s cozy Canterlot residence.
“Hi Fluttershy,” Twilight replied, looking up from her stack of books. “Spike and I were just discussing some of our latest magical research. I’ll help you with those groceries, though.”
Fluttershy smiled warmly at Twilight’s offer. “Thank you, Twilight, but there’s a lot, so I will help you as well, okay?”
With their combined efforts, Fluttershy and Twilight quickly unpacked the groceries onto the kitchen counter. The bags contained a mix of fresh fruits, vegetables, and essential supplies for their day-to-day life in Canterlot.
Spike glanced at the abundance of groceries. “Wow, we stocked up this time. It’s a good thing we have the two of us to tackle this.”
Fluttershy nodded, appreciating Twilight and Spike’s help. “Yes, it should last us for a while. By the way, I hope the adjustments to my Vigilante suit are going well, Twilight.”
Twilight nodded with a reassuring smile. “Yes, they are. I’ve been fine-tuning the suit to enhance its protective features and ensure it’s even more comfortable for you during your heroic duties.”
Spike added with enthusiasm, “And I helped Twilight with some of the magical enhancements. Your suit will be top-notch, Fluttershy!”
Fluttershy couldn’t help but feel grateful for her friends’ support and dedication to her mission as the Vigilante. “Thank you both so much. With this improved suit, I can continue to help those in need in Canterlot.”
As the evening approached, Twilight and Spike continued their work on adjusting the Vigilante suit in Twilight’s Canterlot residence. Fluttershy decided it was time to check on the neighborhood animals she had been taking care of.
While Fluttershy tended to the birds, rabbits, and other creatures in her sanctuary, Twilight, and Spike worked tirelessly on the suit’s modifications, adding layers of magical protection and enhancing its mobility.
Hours passed, and the moon cast a gentle glow over Canterlot. Fluttershy returned from the animal sanctuary, her heart filled with gratitude for her friends’ support.
“Twilight, Spike, how’s it going with the suit?” Fluttershy inquired as she entered the room, her presence a welcome interruption from their intense work.
Twilight looked up from her adjustments, her face beaming with pride. “Fluttershy, I believe the suit is now even better than before. It will provide you with added protection and agility while you’re out there as the Vigilante.”
Spike chimed in, “And the magical enhancements we added should give you an extra edge in facing any challenges.”
Fluttershy couldn’t contain her excitement. “Thank you both so much. I couldn’t ask for better friends and allies in this mission.”
With the suit ready, Fluttershy prepared to continue her mission as the secret Deku Vigilante, protecting the innocent and bringing hope to those who needed it in the heart of Canterlot. Twilight and Spike stood by her side, proud of their friend’s noble cause and her unwavering dedication to making Canterlot a safer place.
