Courtesy Check
"Dispatch to Cruiser 0-3-5-7 please respond to an 11 Papa on Willow and Ashe!"
"Cruiser 0357 10-51 (en route)"
"Drift this abandoned property i hope that the owner was just ill and we dont find a corpse." They arrived at the house and they walked up the shallow and creaky steps.
"This is Officer Drift and Officer Beretta responding to a courtesy check!" Beretta felt nauseated as the odor her nose just picked up reaked. They opendd the door which they realized that it was unlocked the house aas empty but they could smell an odor that smelled like something dead. grabbing his radio he requested for a warrant to turn the house upside down and do a full search. Beretta had to walk off and puke and by her right foot she found a bullet casing.
"Drift! Come here i found something!" Drift had sprinted and he saw the bullet casing.
"Fucking hell!" He hissed, "We may have a possible homicide" Drift had also noted that that where he stood that there were foot prints by his left foot. Beretta swore up a storm as she found herself staring toward an old shed and her gut told her what she was going to find in there.
"You thought about that possibe outcome too? The angle kf foul play?"
"Yes, the car was still here, door was ajar, signs of an interrupted meal....and that damned odor." Drift and Beretta called for back up and waited.
"Ya know Drift i went to the academy with a bat pony named Phoenix Fire, she was proficient in analyzing crime scenes....she works in Canterlot but she's also a marshall; I think she has clearance to go anywhere in Equestria."
"I have heard of her, charcoal gray with gradient mane of red and orange....resembling a fire?"
"That's her, how'd you meet her?"
"Well she's my adopted daughter...pride ofy life and she always wanted to be a cop." A second cruiser pulled up and out stepped a bat pony matching the description of Phoenix Fire.
"Hey dad! pity we couldn't catch up when its not a crime scene....potential crime scene." The trio walked around and Phoenix Fire looked around the areas as they walked and looked uneasy and nauseated. "Why did my special talent have to be finding dead bodies? I'm juat looking over the place to prolong opening that shed door. Fuck it! Let's get this over with."
They went to the dreaded tool shed and opened it up and there before them lay a corpse....butchered and the intrils strewn about the small space and maggots crawled every where. Phoenix Fire and Beretta quickly walked away to puke, Drift closed the shed door and called the coroner. This was supposed to be a simple courtesy call.
Looking over toward Beretta, the rookie looked traumatized and shaken. "That kid is gonna need a therapist for a while." Thought Officer Drift as he and the newly arriving Crime Scene Investigators asked around the people closest to the home all said that the owner hadn't been seen or heard from for about two weeks. Phoenix Fire also asked around and Beretta couldn't move as she stared at the ground and thought about what her innocent eyes just saw.
What she saw: The corpse laying against the back left corner and cut open obviously by the electric jigsaw and the had been cut asunder by the meat cleaver on the work bench. The limbs had been cut off by an ax....the fingers were torn off the hand amd to finish the grisly image was the head sitting in the vice sitting on the work bench cut open by a visible bone saw hanging on a peg.
Who the hell would do that to a fellow Equestrian? She hoped that this case wouldn't resurface, but the odds were decent since they lived and worked in Sin City of Equestria.
