The Royal Three: Season Two

Almost 7 months have passed since Artemis and Twilight got married and since then, things have been going really well. Not only for Twilight and Artemis, but every pony else as well.

Celestia and Atlas recently got engaged, Rarity’s brand became more popular, and some Twilight’s friends fell in love.

Not only that, life in Ponyville has been pretty peaceful. Which allowed Artemis and Twilight to get settle down in their married and royal lives.

Today was another beautiful morning in the small town of Ponyville and right now Artemis was in the kitchen, looking over some paperwork.

He decided to work from home today because Twilight was feeling a bit strange. So, she decided to book a doctor’s appointment earlier that morning.

“Good morning, Artemis.” Spike said as he walked into the kitchen.

“Morning, Spike. Did you sleep well?”

“Yes, I did, thanks for asking.” The teenage dragon replied. “Where is Twilight?”

“She’s at her doctor’s appointment. She should be back soon.”

“Oh. I hope she’s all right.”

“Yeah, me too.” Artemis said before signing his name at the bottom his paper and teleporting them away.

After he stretched his arms out, he looked at Spike and ask. “So, what you want do now?”

“You’re done with your work already?”

“No, this is when I usually take my break.”

“Oh, right. I was thinking of watching the new power ponies episode. Do you want to watch it with me?”

“Sure, I’ll get the popcorn.”

“Ok, I’ll meet you in the living room.”
Spike said before walking out of the kitchen.

12:05 PM

As Spike and Artemis watched a pretty intense fight scene between the power ponies and a powerful villain, they heard the front door open.

“Hey every pony, I’m home.”

“We’re in the living room!” Artemis yelled.

A few moments later, Twilight enters the room.

“Good afternoon, Spike.” She said as she hugged the dragon. Then she walked over to Artemis and kissed him on the cheek. “Good afternoon, honey.”

“Good afternoon, Twilight. Is everything all right?” Artemis ask after he paused the TV.

“Everything is fine. The doctor gave me a clean bill of health. But I do have something big news to share.”

“What is it?” Spike leaned forward.

“Reason why I been feeling bloated and a bit under the weather recently is because.” She put a hand on her stomach. “I’m pregnant.”

The room was so quiet you can hear a pin drop.

“Pregnant?” Spike ask in shock.

“Yep, almost 3 weeks to be exact.” Twilight answered.

Artemis stood up and mumbled. “Oh my God.” A big smile appeared on his face.
“I’m going to be a dad. I’m going to be dad!”

Artemis hug Twilight and spun her around.
“We’re going to be parents! Oh my god.”

“I’m going to be an uncle!” Spike said.

“An awesome uncle.” Artemis high five spike.

“I’m glad that you two are so excited for this.” Twilight smiled.

“Of course we are. You’re going to have a cute little foal coming in nine months. Who doesn’t like a cute newborn foal?” Spike said.

“You got a point there. But having a baby is a huge responsibility. Do you think we’ll be up for it?”

“Twilight look at me, we’ll be fine. We might not be perfect, but I know that we’re going to figure it out and be great parents for this little one. Plus, we got Spike, all of our friends in Ponyville and Canterlot to help us out.”

This made Twilight feel a bit better.

“Don’t forget about Owlicious. I’m sure that he would enjoy another pony to play with. I’m going to tell him the big news.”
Spike said before leaving the living room.

“Owlicious, where are you boy?”

“Hoo.”

Spike looked up and saw that Owlicious was resting on the second-floor banister.

“There you are. I have some great news for you. Twilight is pregnant, you’re going get a new playmate.”

Owlicious stared at Spike for a few moments before spreading his wings and flying into the living room and landing on Twilight shoulder.

He then snuggled up against his owner.

“Aww, thanks Owlicious.” Twilight scratches the bottom of the owl’s chin.

“So, when are we going to tell the others?” Artemis asks.

“How about we tell them later this afternoon?” Twilight suggested.

“That sounds good to me.”

5:30 PM.

After every pony arrived at the library and made themselves at home, Twilight stood in front of them and cleared her throat.

“Thanks for coming here at such short notice.”

“No problem Twi, what did you want to tell us?”
Applejack asks.

“The reason why I invited you all here is to tell you that you’re going to be aunts, uncles and grandparents soon.”
Twilight smiled.

Took them a second to realize what she was saying.

“No way.” Apollo said in shock.

“Twilight, you’re pregnant?!” Velvet asks.

“Yep.”

“Oh, my Faust, I’m going to be a grandma!”

“Congratulations, Twilight.” Celestia said.

“I can’t wait to see the little one.” Rarity said.

“Me neither! When the little baby comes, I’m going throw the biggest party ever!” Pinkie pie exclaimed.

“I can’t Believe it; we’re going to have another egghead running around.” Rainbow laughed. “But in all seriousness, I’m happy for you, Twilight.”

“Thanks, Rainbow. But I wish I felt more prepared for this.”

“Don’t worry Twilight. It’s normal for first time parents to feel nervous about their future child.”
Galaxia said.

“Really?”

“It’s true. You don’t want to know how nervous we were when we were expecting Shining. But it all worked out. I know that it’s going to be the same for you and Artemis.” Nightlight said.

“I know for a fact that this baby going be in good hands. Heck, I’m willing to bet that Twilight ordered a bunch of books on parenting tips.” Atlas said.

“That does sound like Twilight.” Luna said.

“We actually did order a few books on that subject.” Artemis chimed in.

“Already?” Apollo asks.

“Yeah.”

“Well, being over prepared is a good thing. Especially when it comes to parenthood.” Nebula said.

“Hey, every pony, what are we sitting around here for? This is a time to celebrate!” Pinkie Pie said before shooting her party canon.

It’s been two hours since ‘congratulations Twilight and Artemis’ party had started and so far, every pony was having a good time.

All of Artemis’ friends finally arrived and they were shocked of hearing the great news and gave happy parents to be their well wishes.

Right now, Artemis was standing outside on his balcony, drinking lemonade while enjoying the fresh air.

“What are you doing out here?” Atlas asks.

“I’m just getting some fresh air that’s all.”

“Are you sure about that?” Apollo raised an eyebrow. “It looks like you were thinking about something.

“All right, you got me. Was thinking about the future.”

“You’re worried about future kid?”
Atlas asks.

“Not that. I was thinking about what might happen after Orion’s passage opens up. I’m not worried about the future battle; I’m just wondering how everyone back home would react to what we been doing all this time. Would they like Twilight and the others? Would they even accept them into the family?”

“How long were you thinking about this?”
Apollo asks.

“Three hours after Twilight told me and Spike that she was pregnant. I’m happy that I’m going to have a family soon, but it also got me worried.”

“You’re right, we don’t know how they’re going to react. But I know they’ll be happier about us being safe and sound, than us falling in love with ponies. In fact, I’m willing to bet that they will be forever grateful to every pony for looking out for us.” Atlas said.

“Remember, you’re not going through that passage alone. Will be with you the entire time.
That’s what triplets do. No matter what happens, we’ll get through it together.” Apollo padded Artemis back.

“You’re right, thanks for making me feel better. I love you guys.”

“We love you too, man.” Atlas said.

A few moments later, the balcony door opened, and Cyclone poked his head outside.

“Hey guys, are you coming back in? We’re about to play musical chairs soon.”

“We’re coming.” Artemis answered, before going back inside with his siblings followed suit.

After hours of partying, every pony decided to call the night, said their goodbyes and went home.

Later that night, Artemis went to bed. Knowing that no matter what might happen in the future, he always has his friends and family by his side.
