2 years passed for Pharynx and Cadence. They were still married and were loving each other in complete bliss. One night they headed to Twilight's house for dinner to meet her parents. Pharynx had a feeling that Twilight still wouldn't trust him so if he got her parents trust then maybe she'll understand him more. They both stopped at the door and Pharynx knocked on it.

"Honey. Im glad you wanted to meet Twilight's parents. I just hope Twilight doesn't try to hurt you." Cadence said.

"Well sweetie as long as we have a good time at dinner everything will be okay." Pharynx said.

After he said that the door opened up and relieved A blue unicorn with two moons as his cutie mark. He was Twilight's dad: Night Light.

"Oh hello there. You must be Pharynx. Twilight told me about you." Night Light said.

"Indeed I am sir. Shall we come in?" Pharynx said.

"Of course. Dinner's almost ready. Come on in." Night Light said.

The two went inside and made themselves at home. They waited for dinner to start. As they were waiting a light gray unicorn with white and purple striped hair came in and saw them. This was Twilight's mom: Twilight Velvet.

"Oh hi there. Im guessing you are Pharynx. The one that Cadence married. Honestly I thought she would marry Shining." Velvet said.

"Indeed I am madam. And sometimes love works in different ways. But if you like I can explain everything on why Cadence married me." Pharynx said.

"Well I am curious to know why you and Cadence are together. So yes please explain everything at dinner." Velvet said as everyone went to the dining table.

At dinner we see everyone enjoying some hot, fresh soup. Twilight looked at Pharynx angry sercetly thinking that Pharynx is up to something bad. Pharynx saw her and raised an eyebrow.

"What's wrong with you Twilight?" Pharynx said as her parents saw this.

"Twilight. Be nice around our guest." Night Light said.

"Sorry dad." Twilight said.

"Anyways. Pharynx you said that you would explain everything on why Cadence is married to you. Care to tell us?" Night Light said.

"Ah yes. Lemme explain. You see about 3 years ago us Changelings were on the verge on extinction. Reason why is because our mother was terribly sick with a deadly disease. We tried to get mother A cure but we had no success. So since that failed we needed a new ruler. I was next in line for the throne but even with just me the Hive won't survive without a queen. So we needed to find a queen and fast." Pharynx said.

"That's when he came to me. Now before you freak out yes he did take me away from Canterlot. But he had a reason to." Cadence said.

"Yes I did. We offered her the chance to become the next Changeling Queen so the Hive would live. But Cadence didn't want to rush and I totally respect that. So we gave her some time to think and after 2 years she accepted the marriage. But there was also a law she had to obey. Changeling law states and I quote: If a pony married a Changeling then they have to become the breeder of the Changeling they're engaged to. Now I didn't treat her like a sex slave need I remind you. I treated her like any ruler would. So that's everything on why she's married to me." Pharynx said.

"Interesting. So your mother was terribly sick and you were next for the throne and needed a queen to rule by." Night Light said.

"Well dear im so sorry about your mother. Hope you can treat Cadence like a woman." Velvet said.

"Oh I will ma'am. Thanks for dinner. Come honey let's head home." Pharynx said as he took Cadence's hand and escorted her out the door and headed back home.

However Twilight was not impressed. She still thinked that Pharynx was up to something evil and she needed to figure it out.
