Chapter 20: Back to the Library

Previous Chapter

“How long has it been without a rider?” wondered Twilight. She felt that after all the music she sang, all the blinking lights she made, someone surely would have come to them by now. Yet, although she saw some figures in the distance, none of them made their way to the carousel and instead rode on other rides instead.

No matter how much Twilight ran and ran and ran, she still found no owner, only others that chose other mares. At the moment, Twilight was getting very impatient as she wanted someone to pleasure her, herself being unable to do so. She needed someone else, like… that girl in a maid costume! She noticed the girl as she turned the corner. Yet, as she turned around once more, she found she could not see the girl until the carousel turned to the correct position again.

In desperate need of a rider, Twilight started huffing and puffing louder than before, but the rest of her siblings, also in the demand of a rider, heightened their pitches and voices too. The supply was not enough for them. The girl walked up to the carousel and did a curtsy before getting onto the carousel. Like Twilight before, she walked around the carousel, observing all of the ponies.

After seeing all of them, she got off the ride once more, but as she did so, she saw two hands on the bottom that reached out for her leg. Fortunately, dodging it in time, she got off the ride safely and the hands thereupon retreated. The maid took out a crystal from her apron, held it up and walked around the carousel, refracting the sun’s rays through the crystal onto the carousel ponies as it came their turn. Only one carousel pony changed color, however, the one pony who the crystal was meant for.

Twilight woke up to find herself in a cage, out on the streets of Canterlot on a bright and sunny morning. “Why am I locked up? Who dares to do this?” She looked around and saw another cage, with Princess Celestia inside.

“Twilight! You’re back to normal!”

“Wha… what happened to me? Sorry about not being aware.”

“No, no, it’s my fault! The bed that you slept on turned out to be a yellow pony item and while you were sleeping, you turned into a yellow pony and I woke up to a loud sound, finding you up and squeaking yourself against the bed.”

“We tried to stop you but in the process, I must have turned into a yellow pony myself.”

“Then, who saved us?”

“I did,” said a pony in a maid dress.

“This is Marilea. She saved us and brought us out here.”

“Thank you very much, Marilea.”

“At your service, Your Majesties.” Mariela replied.

“Could you please let us out now?”

“Okay.”

“Marilea, please continue your other duties, Twilight and I will have a private discussion.”

“Okay. If you need anything, please do not hesitate to call me.”

“Now, Twilight, we both now have the experience of becoming yellow ponies. Tell me, how was it?”

“I… I don’t actually remember. Do you?”

“I remember chasing you around, I slipped and then hit a wall and after that… I don’t remember. It seems that no one remembers how or that they turned into one.”

“So, what should we do now?”

“First of all, we need to isolate ourselves; if we get infected again, we risk getting turned into items ourselves. We need to lock up the library while we search for answers.”

“Okay.”

The two of them headed to the library again, causing the royal guards to start getting a bit annoyed. “What’s in there?” asked one.

“We need to find a cure to this yellow madness,” said Twilight. “We believe an answer is inside there.”

“We need you to secure this library, do not let anypony inside.”

“Yes, Your Highness.”

The two then entered the library, messy again, but quiet. Nopony was inside and a lot more yellow and black items were scattered around the library.

“Where should we begin?”

“We should search for reversal spells and spells that prevent a repeated affliction.”

“Okay. If only we still had the Time Twirler…”

“No time travelling,” Princess Celestia said sternly. “You remember what happened that time.”

“Alright.” Twilight continued searching.

“Oh! How about this?” asked Princess Celestia. “I found a spell that can reduce the possibility of getting harmed by another spell.”

“Hmm… Even if we manage to find a spell, how do we apply it on all of the antiponies?”

“What do you mean?”

“They might be immobile items and we might need to collect them all. Not only that, but how are we going to move them all?”

“We have magic, don’t you remember?”

“Yes, but how about the normal ponies?”

“I forgot about that… Alright Twilight, you gather all the yellow ponies and yellow pony items while I continue searching for a cure.”

Twilight promptly left the library and Canterlot, returning back to Equestria, for she was quickly getting homesick and started to miss her friends, especially Spike.
