Chapters The Elder Ponies VI: Equestria
You had arrived home, that fateful night. The door had apparently been smashed in. Fearing the worse, you readied your sword, and charged in. You found nopony in the house, only furniture toppled to the ground, and a note, pinned to the wall with a dagger. You began to read it.
Blade Song, by the time you've read this, your wife and children have been taken.

Glancing at the clock, you notic the time to be 11:41. Believing you might stop this, rush towards the ton square, as fast as your wings can take you. Your wife was a beautiful Unicorn, Golden Light, ith the most beautiful of alabaster coats, a sweet-smelling golden blonde mane and tail, and the most beautiful eyes, amber. Your son and daughter, both 7, were a mix of you and your wife. Golden had been the daughter of a minor official, which granted her privaliages, and of a baroness. Quickly, you make it to the town square, where a crowd of ponies, some looking fearfully, some looking excited, as your wife and children are at the gallows. Govenor Stone is there. Multiple armed guards are station around the plaza. "Any last words, blood traitors?" Stone says. sneering at your wife. "Yes, just this! Before you Aldmare came, 77 years ago, true peace reigned in Equestrimil! You ruined the race of Unicorns! Everypony was equal then!" Seeing you, your wife shouts "Blade! Help! Blade" You rush towards her, but as you near the gallows, you hear Stone cry out "Sieze him!" as you feel the strong arms an hooves of two Aldmare soldiers grasp your arms, restraing you. "Goodbye, Golden Light! Welcome to Tar-ta-rus!" Stone shouts, pulling the lever. Just before the trapdoors fall, you hear your wife and children shout "I love you Blade/Daddy!" as they plummet, and then fall silent. Rage builds in you as Stone smiles coldly at you, his eyes glinting with triumph. "You'll pay Stone! You heartless worm! You'll pay for this!" You scream in rage, drawing your blade cutting down the guards holding you, as Stone teleports aay, after sending out battlions of soldiers at you, all weilding wither magic, crossbos, or claymores, all heading towards you.
Mangaging to knock back down one pony with a legsweep, you grab his spear. Flinging it into the face of one of the other guardsponies, you are able to stab two others, losing your sword in one. As more come, you smash through two, flying into the wind, and away, tears and blood stinging your eyes and covering your coat.
You left Marerun, left the province of Shyrim all together, heading towards Equestria, the capital of Equestrimil.
That had been over 2 years ago, and your heart still stung, even as you headed toards the town of Ponyville, to begin your new life..................

3. A New Life, A New Destiny
You had arrived in Ponyville, to find work, and some new equipment. The market place was bustling that day. An Earth Pony was trying to haggle for celery at one stand. You smiled sadly at that. It reminded you of the arguments you and Old Stallion Witherspoon would have over the price of his candy. You wore a long black trencoat over your body, the hood down. You had only your sword, which you had named Justice, with you. All your other old gear was stored in a pocket in space you had conjured. You rememered how Pegasi and Earth Ponies had been given the ability to do magic by the Element of Magic yourself, Twilight Sparkle.
It all started 425 years ago, during the Poniblivion Crisis. Chancellor Golden Bit had been assassinated by a cult of ponies named the Rising Inferno. They wished to summon Mehrunes Dragon, the Daydric prince of war and destruction. They had succeded, as Poniblivion gates were opened. You ancestor, a Pegasus pony named Shining Skies, had taken up arms. She was to become known as the hero of Ponyville, alongside the Celestial Cruader. 5 months after she joined up, Mehrunes Dragon had arrived. He stormed through Ponyville, crushing all resistance, that's when The Elements of Harmony showed up, for they had been friends with your great times some number grandmother.
As your ancestor watched on, The Elementso of Harmony activated, as the ponies using then ere washed in a glow of light. Then, a beam of magical energy fire from them. It blasted straight through Dragon, and she saw what appeared to be the 6 colors of the Elements in that beam. Your ancestor watched as Twilight, using her power, causing a wave of magical energy to be sent thorughout the land, before smiling, as she and the other 5 Elements dissapeared in a flash of light, knocking your ancestor to the ground.
You woke a few hours later, and discovered all begins,ponies, griffons, and the rest, could fire various magical spells from whatever appendage they used, hooves, talons, etc. Though, at a heavy cost, the 6 Elements had ascended to a higher plane of existance, to be known as The 6 Elements.
You wandered into the nearest Fighter's Guild, and asked the head there, a middle-aged Minotaur named Steel Horns, for work, and recruitment. He accepted you, and gave you a letter, containing orders to be given to Commander Storm Shadow, garrisoned in a fort on the outskirts of Manehatten. You were to be given 500 gold, 200 now, 300 from Storm Shadow. Grabbing some Chainmail armor, minues the helmet, a leather shield, some food nad potions, alongside a bow and arrows, you set off on the road to Manehatten, that's when your troubles started.............

You had just eaten a loaf of bread and some apples, sitting outside Blackhawk cave. It had been a day since you left Ponyville, and it would ake another night to reach the fort. As you got up, you put away your food.
You walked calmly on the road, enjoying the beauty of Equestria. You atched as a stranged white glow appeared in your path. eminating a warm feeling in you. As you reached a hoof to touch it, you felt a strange sensation, as you saw liht all over you, before you were taken in.
You awoke on what appered to be mist, all around could see a pale blue sky, looking down, you saw the vast region of Equestria. "Magic, but who's?" You thought, looking at the view. "It was my magic, Blade." a familiar voice said. Turning around, you noticed Celestia standing nearby, her sister, Luna, her niece Cadence, her nephew-in-law Shining Armor, and the 6 Elements standing there, smiling warmly at you. You boed in reverance, before Luna spoke to you. "Arise, my little pony, for we come to you, not as your rulers, but as your friends." you got up. "Princesses, Elements, and friends. Why have you summoned me?" You ask, bewildered. "Because your ancestor, Shining Skies, who had been falsly aressted for stealing bread, saved all of Equestrimel from Pumaril the Unfeathered, and from Mehrunes Dragon, two of the greatest threats to the world." Cadence said, looking at you. "But, I'm no hero. I failed to save my family! Why would you call me?!" You ask, tears springing to your eyes once more. "Don't be such a cryer-whyer, Bladey." Pinkie Pie said, giggling slightly as she dried your tears with a hoof. "Nopoy is born great, Blade Song." Twilight Sparkle said. "Even Princess Celestia and luna here here foals when their parents, King Terra and Queen Solaria, created Equestrelim." Celestia blushed somewhat, before continuting Twilight's sentence.
"Even your ancestor was not born into greatness. She was falsely accused of stealing bread. What actually happened, all those years ago, is she bought it. After paying the 2 bits for the wheat bread, she gave it to a poor family of Donkies. The shopkeeper, eraged by this, called for the guards, saying Shining SKies had stolen the bread for her. A few hours after she had been locked up, that's when we sent Chancellor Golden Bit to your cell." Celestia finished. Your mouth was open, as you heared the origis of your ancestor.
"But we have a task for you. Poniblivion is opening once more, and an old foe has re-awkened after centuries. You are to go to Lightwind Keep, we ill tell you more once you arrive. And don't worry about your contract, it has been delivered and the gold is yours." Twilight said, as she fired a spell to send you back.
As you regained your sight, you ate an apple, then headed don the road to Lightwind Keep, a day's journey...........

5. Trials and Tribulations
You had finaly arrived at Lightwind Keep. The large, ancient, imposing Pyleid ruin. Moss had crept over the walls as you approached the door, when a voice ran through your head, the voice of Fluttershy, Element of Kindness. "Erm, now, ca-can you open that do-door and go inside?" she said, in a way that you found adorable. Doing as she wished, you pushed open the heavy stone door, and stepped inside, using a Light Spell as you stepped through.
Dust and moss covered the gray walls. Incase of danger, you readied your blade. As you entered the doorway ahead, you found youself in a large room, noticing Weyfen Crytals, that were used to regenerate your Magicka, around the room. Focusing, you summoned all 7 of them into your bag, smiling.
You headed further into the ruin, cutting down rats and taking treasure from Pyleid casks, dark steel containers, finding gold and items. Soon, after what seemed like hours, and eating some more food, you finally came to a large stone door, with carvings of the Elements defeating Nightmare Moon, Discord, Glendis the Griffon Sorceress, aiding your ancestor defeat Mehrunes Dragon, among many more. Touching the carving of your ancestor, Shining Light, in a beam of light, the voice of sophisticated voice of Lady Rarity, Element of Generosity, spoke to you. "Darling, what you will find beyong those doors is a test. If you pass this test, you must speak to her. Now, go" Puzziling over what she meant, and who this Her was, you ushed opened the heavy stone door, and entered the room.
The room was dark, but before you could use a Light spell, a tong of flame floated in the air. You watched as it flew through the braziers and torches, lighting thm, the room glowing now. Upon so, you heard groaning from ahead. Looking, you noticed 3 skelatal ponies, and a skelatal griffon, rise up and raise their weapons. Upon closer inspection, you recognize them. The lead pony, a large, heavy set tan Earth Pony stallion adorned in dark gray and gold Porkish armor, brandashing a large waraxe that glowed with a red light and flames, as Earth Quake, a companion of Shining's who aided her in quelling the Porkish army of Warlady Graz ham-Moguk, and the waraxe must be his legendary weapon, Skull-Smasher. The slender brick red Pegasus mare Rogue wearing the oak brown cloak and leather armor, brandashing two Elven Daggers, must be Swift Wind, who joined your ancestor after Shining saved her from a group of Goblin mercenaries. The lean Unicorn, wearing a black and gold robe, adorned with a black dragon Insignia, weilding a large elm staff, must be Archmage Aurum Wand, the long gone Archmage of the Mage's Guild in Filydelphia, and the staff must be the Vel'carr, an Pyleid staff passed down from parent to child. And finally, large, yet slim Griffon skeleton, wearing a light green tunic, wearing Antivan leather armow, was Mardis Glenfell, a female Griffon Ranger, who helped the Element of Loyalty, Rainbow Dahs, and Shining Armor, and Shining Light take down Grawt, the daemon bear.
Launching a fire spell, you are able to deal with Swift Wind, watching as he skeleton froze, and appeared on her table. Blocking a heavy blow from Earth Quake, though the fire leaving minor burns on your hooves, before landing a kick to Aurum Wand's chest, staggering him. Deflecting a lightning bolt, though just barely, from Aurum's staff, slice a clean cut into Quake's skull, teleporting him to his table. Notching a poison tipped arrow, you fill Archmage Wand's robe with Griffon arrows, before shoving him into a wall with your wings, sending him to his table.
Catching your breath, turn ot face Mardis, seat and blood coating you. You sheath your bow, as you had no arrows left, then draw your longsword once more. The skeletal visage of Mardis grins, before unsheathing her dual scimitars, charging at you.
Parrying her blades, you deliver some strikes of your own, managing to land a few hits. Glenfell knock you aside with the butt of her swords, staggering you. As she is about to strike, you sweep her legs out from under her, and, grabbing her arms, you push her own swords into her chest. She grins at you, before appearing on your table. A voice, unlike your mother's, calls out to you. "Welcome, Blade Song. You are truly my descendant, come, and recieve your rewards." You turn and notice what appears to be the etheral ghostly form of Shining Light. Sheathing your weapons, you head towards her........
And towards your destiny...............
The Elder Ponies VI: Equestria
You slowly apporached the smiling form of Shining Light. "Blade, you have grown. The Elements and Princesses have called you here for one reason. Do you see the body on the table?" She says, pointing a hoof a bit behind her. Looking at it, you see it is hers. "You are to retrieve my armor and weapons, for they are the only things capable of destroying what evil has arisen from Poniblivion." Shining says, standing beside you. "Touch my cuirass, and the armor shall be yours, and i shall be with you to guide you, alongside my friends."
Gently, you place a hoof on the still form within the armor, and you feel a surge of power flow through you, and a light blinds you. Upon awakening, you find yourself in the Celestia's Crusaer's armor, the blade of Celestia and the Shield of Luna your armaments. "Well, I've gotta hoof it to ya, you really are the descendant of Shining." You hear a gruff voice say. Turning around, you find that all 4 of the slain heroes have been rejuvanated, and taken new life. "We'll stick with you through Poniblivion and back." Earth Quake says, smiling.
As you venture out from the keep, Luna and Twilight appear to you, and you all bow reverence. "Arise, Champions. You, lade Song of Marerun, have been deemed to be the Elemental Avatar, one who shall embody the Elements, along with the virtues of Celestia and myself. You shall embody Honesty, Generosity, Kindness, Loyalty, Laughter, Magic, along with Honor and Valor. Can you do this?" Luna asks, nuzziling you motherly. "I will, Princess Luna: you say, as the two dissapear. As you get up to leave, you find a note in your hoof, saying "Go to Filliesburg, there you must speak to a Unicorn named Countess Sparkling Gem, Rarity's descendant." Placing the note intoy your backpack,you tell the others of the plan. "Well, it seems we'll be walking for awhile, Filliesburg is 3 days and 5 hours from here." Aurum said, stretching his neck and fixing his robe. You all set off for Filliesburg.
It had been a little over a day since you left for Filliesburg with the group, you had stopped in a small town to collect a bounty for a group of bandits from the Govenor's Advisor, alongside sell what you looted and rest for the night.. The small town was named Roariksteed, named for it's founder, Lion's Roar, an Earth Pony hero of the Great War. You stepped in the Rutted Mare, a tavern. After collecting the bag if bits from Advisor Clam Up, and selling your loot, you ate a quick dinner and went to bed.
Reaching your room, all 5 of you changed into your sleewear, a simple shirt and no pants, and laid down for sleep, a weapon at your side.
In the morning, your party set out once more..............

The weather had been humid that day. Celestia's sun had been heating your hide in your armor. You had been a member of Marerun's militia, as several guards had either been killed or injured when a large group of Timber wolves had attacked. You, along ith several other ponies had joined up.
You were a light brown pegasus pony, golden blonde mane, and tail, with eyes of azure blue. Your militia armor consisted of a leather knife strap, over a gray chaimail cuirass. The wepons you had were sharpened steel knives in your knife strap, a yew bow with about 25 Griffon-crafted arrows, a lightweight circular shield, with the insignia of Marerun, and black stallion rearing up, over a yellow background, and a lightweight Zebra steel sword, plus a few healing potions in a pouch on your belt. You, alogn with all the other militia ponies, had on a leather skullcap. You were stationed in a watchtower a few miles outside the city gates.
That day, you had been given order from Shadow Sword, the advisor to Jarl Steel-Steed, that a group of brigands, four, had been sited harassing a nearby farm. You, along with Honysuckle, a tan, fairly muscular, Earth Pony mare, who carried a steel handaxe, and Silver Whisp, an azure blue Unicorn, who preffered to use magic, were sent to the nearby farm, Gildglow. The Jarl was a tall, muscular, middle aged stallion. He came from a long line of warriors. His great-grandfather, Axe-Fall the Great, had fought in the Great War, between the Solar Empire, sided with the Lunar Republic, had gone to war with the Aldmare Dominion. The Aldmare Dominion were a group of Celestial ponies, Unicorn ponies who believed Unicorns. After 7 years of strife, it was over, yet not without a great cost.
Thousands of ponies had died in that war, and an uneasy peace had been made. This had been when Sparkling Gem, the obsidian black Unicorn and Founder of the Aldmare Dominion, had threatened to destory all of Ponyville and Canterlot, unless Princess Celestia and Luna were to raise the taxes of Earth Ponies and Pegasi, and give no taxes to Unicorns. This became known as the Canterlot Concordat.
That was all in the past now. You and your band had reached the farm. Notching an arrow into your bow, you watched as the shaft flew into the kneck of the lead pony, a brutish looking female Pegasus, as the others stared. Raising your sword, you and the others quickly charged in and cut down the bandits. You were thanked by the farmers, and rewared 200 gold each from Shadow.
What would surprise you that day, years ago, would be what you found when you got home..........
