Daniel Book Two

Daniel opened an eye, and smelt a strange mix of weat and blueberry muffins. Then remembering the night before, he smiled slightly. Quietly getting out of the bed, he grabbed the FLAW, his boxers, and his jeans, and went into the bathroom. setting his clothes to the side, and turned on the shower, stepping in he bean soaping up, washing off his body of certain, 'fluids'.

"Good morning Danny." Ditzy said as Daniel stepped out of the bathroom in his jeans, a towel was rooled up and draped around his shoulders, in his hand he held the FLAW.

"Good morning Ditzy." Daniel replied cheerfully. Ditzy passed Daniel and entered the bathroom herself, about twenty minutes later, everypony was sitting at a breakfast table downstairs, with plates full of food.

"Okay, the temple is actually three miles south of here, we should be able to reach it by noon if we leave in half an hour." Daring said. Everypony else just nodded and continued eating.

"So, anypony have any good dreams last night?" Applebloom asked inbetween bites of hay bacon. Daniel and Ditzy shared a glance. Suddenly Daring got up.

"Time to go." She said quietly, pointing towards a familiar griffin and his two guards.

"Ah shit." Daniel said under his breath. They all got up, and headed towards the door, hoping not to get caught, but of course, the griffin turned around at that exact moment.

"There they are, after them!" He yelled, and Daniel flipped over two nearby tabels as a roadblock, and the team sprinted out of the hotel.

"The train station!" Daring yelled, and they all ran towards it, it wasn't very far from the hotel, as a matter of fact, it was just across the street. The griffin and his two guards burst through the hotel doors just as they reached the train station, luckily the train they needed to board was already in the station.

"Talk about lucky." Daniel muttered, as once again Ditzy threw a sack of bits at the clerk, and grabbed her ticket, as the others did the same. They quickly got on the train, and ducked down, the griffin bought a three tickets for himself, but got on a different car of the train. The doors to the train closed, leaving. Then the griffin burst through the doors to the car that the team was in. "Or not."

"Daring, give me the map, and nopony on the car gets hurt!" The griffin yelled.

"Everypony run!" Daniel yelled, and all the civilians and the workers cleared. "Spike, take AB out of here!" Daniel said, getting ready for the attack, and growing out his tail. "Daring, go with them, you have the map, they can't get it, we'll hold them off." Daniel continued. Daring looked like she was about to argue, but she left, and was followed by Dash.

"Get them." The griffin said. the two ponies stood on their hind legs, and ran towards them, Daniel ran towards them, and gave his tail a quick swing, triying to hinder them, but it was easily avoided. "You konw, my strange looking friend, if you want to hurt them, even slightly, you have to try and kill them, that's the beauty of it." The griffin cackled.

"Fine." Daniel said dangerously, he jumped in the air, and spun around, trying to decapitate the stallion on the left, he ducked, and swung a hoof in Daniel's direction, Daniel sidesteped it, and swung his tail tryign to cut off the stallions foreleg, instead, he nicked it slightly. The stallion shook it off, and flipped over Daniel, quickly swing his hoof again, the stallion met flesh, and blasted Daniel back a couple of feet. Ditzy ran forward, followed by Blaze and Gilda, they flanked the two stallions.

"Daniel go!" Gilda yelled, ducking a hit from the first stallion. Daniel jumped back into action, as did the second stallion, going for a mid-air attack against Daniel, slow motion seemed to happen as they met, Daniel kicked the stallion in the face, but the stallion managed a punch into Daniel's gut. They both got blasted back. The stallion hit a window as another subway train passed by.

"Look mama! Ninjas are fighting a wierd looking creature with an awesome sharp tail!" One little colt said, looking out the window.

"I see that." The mother said, flabbergasted.

"That hurt you silent bastard." Daniel said to stallion number two. The stallion got up, and quickly charged forward, Daniel just stood where he was, and waited, and as the stallion attacked, he flicked his tail, and quickly gashed the stallion, combined with a hard kick the stallion hit the already cracked window, breaking it. He looked to the left, and saw the door, quickly opening it, he went back inside the car, only to jump out of the door.

"Daniel, we got this this one, go after the other, make sure it doesn't reach Daring!" Ditzy yelled. Daniel nodded in reply, and swung out as well, on top of the train car, he saw the stallion running towards the next car, but before he could reach it, Daniel caught up to him and landed a blow on his head. The stallion quickly turned around, and hit Daniel, Daniel grabbed the stallion's mask, only to see a very deadly Fluttershy.

"F-Fluttershy?" Daniel said surprised, Fluttershy landed a punch on Daniel's face. Pulling her mask back on, she ran forwards towards Daring, Daniel shook it off, and ran after Fluttershy, quickly catching up with her, he quickly forgot who the 'stallion' was. He swung his tail at her, and she quickly flipped over Daniel, who spun around, and threw a fist. Fluttershy opened her wings, and flew down into the train car once again, Daniel dove in after her.

"Daniel help!" Applebloom yelled, Daniel spun around to see Spike backing slowly away from Fluttershy, Daniel ran up to her, and swung his tail, quickly cutting Fluttershy in the back of the head. She spun around, rage in her eyes, the only part showing in her mask. She quickly launched several blows, but Daniel avoided them all, and caught the last one. Quickly swinging her around, he threw her across the way, electing several screams of terror from the passengers. Fluttershy quickly hooped up back onto her hind legs, just as another train sounded in the distance, she jumped out yet again, followed by Daniel.

"Fluttershy! Why are you doing this?" Daniel yelled.

"Easy, Trick Coin pays well." She said with a cackle. She quickly charged at Daniel once again, Daniel waited, and grabbed her by the wing, elicting a pained shout. Daniel held Fluttershy over the train, as the other train started coming forward.

"Who's Trick Coin?" Daniel yelled.

"The griffin that hired me, you saw him in the train." Fluttershy yelled fearfully.

"Why are you fighting us." Daniel hissed.

"He's paying me!" Fluttershy yelled. "Please, let me up!" She added, Daniel rolled his eyes, and yanked her back up, just as the other train passed, Fluttershy jumped on the other train. "Goodbye Daniel, we'll see each other again." She yelled. Daniel went back inside the train.

"Is everypony alright?" Daniel shouted, there were several nods, everypony seemed fine. Daniel ran off to find the others, and found them all standing together, staring out the window.

"They jumped on the other train." Ditzy said. Daniel nodded.

"So did the other one." Daniel said, he  was't ready to tell them it was Fluttershy just yet, the train pulled to a stop.

"This is the conductor, for those of you in that fight, get off, this is the Jungle Stop." An angry voice came up.

"Fine, this was where we were going anyways." Daring said. They all stepped off the train, and went up the stairs, the train left quickly.

(Pun intended) This is what stories should be! I think this chapter is okay, not the greatest, then again, they never are, are they? Oh well, The march to the temple is coming up now!
