A Teen’s Embarrassment

It’s a beautiful sunny day, and every pony is out and about. A stallion is giving his beloved a flower he just picked. A mother is currently making funny faces, and succeeded in getting their little one to laugh because they were crying earlier. And one couple is experiencing a proposal; with a crowd cheering, and hugs.

However… all of this beautiful stuff is gonna get interrupted by a shrill ear piercing scream. And just as it happened, every pony ran for their lives, fearing for a monster attack.

Oh if only… .

“What… is… this… ?!” Cadence said, looking at herself in the mirror. “I… I look hideous! Just… . Just look at this zit!”

Shining Armor, having just been fresh out of guard academy, and who is having a day off; (luckily since guards aren’t known to have day offs constantly), is looking at his date with a bit of a chuckle, and then replied with, “oh relax honey… . It isn’t that bad… .”

Feeling steamed because of teenage stress, Cadence just blurts out, “not that bad??? It’s totally bad! You have no idea what this is like!” Still not thinking it’s a big deal, Shining Armor replied, “I’m sure that whatever this is will pass… . I promise… .”

Still feeling like that it’s bad, Cadence went entirely red, and growled before a magical explosion took place.

Cadence and Shining Armor are currently at one of Canterlot’s pharmacies, looking for whatever any anxious teen needs to banish their blemish.

“Okay… no… no… no… got it!” Cadence said as she then picked up an expensive looking bottle of face cleanser.

“Uh… Cadence? You sure we need that? Looks expensive… .” Shining Armor asked while looking nervously, hoping that his date doesn’t actually consider buying it.

Looking at him with an annoyed look, Cadence replied with; “of course Shining dearest. If it wasn’t expensive, then it’s pretty bad that no one would’ve bought it. Right???”

Sighing… knowing that this’ll basically come out of his paycheck, Shining Armor responded with, “okay honey… . I’ll buy it for you… .”

Hugging her beloved Cadence said; “thanks dearest… “ before turning around to go pay for the cleanser.

However, once it was rung up on the register, Shining Armor nearly had a heart attack. The price alone could put any other expensive product in the store to shame.

Cadence just smiled, took out her coin pouch, and then got some bits out to pay for it. After that, the couple left the store to try it out to see if it’ll work against the pimple.

Multiple creams, face wash, and whatever else there is are currently floating in the air by a magic aura. Reason is that, as anyone might’ve guessed, Cadence is currently trying everything out there to get rid of this one stubborn pimple that’s on her face. And basically… as usual in any cartoon world… they would seem to work… . Only to have the offending blemish stay where it was before, intact.

Growling and steaming metaphorically, and then sighing and crying slightly, Cadence is now in defeat, thinking that maybe the pimple will never truly go away… no matter how hard she tried. Even the most expensive cream/face washer she bought didn’t work at all… . Only make it grow big somehow.

Hearing his mare friend’s cries, Shining went to the bathroom where Cadence was at, and cleared his throat before saying to her, “it’ll be okay sweetie… I promise… . Like I said! It’s not the end of the world at all… .” Looking at her date with a pout, Cadence replied with, “oh yeah… ? How so?”

Shining Armor just chuckled, before sitting down next to her, and starts to recount on how he had a pimple too, and had the same problem Cadence had now back then.

“And that’s how I’ve learned to never let things like that get in the way of my happiness… .”

After hearing her date’s story, Cadence looked to be thinking of something, and then smiled before replying with, “thanks honey… that made me feel better now… .” “Really?” Shining asked.

Cadence frowned suddenly, and then said, “no… course not. It doesn’t work for ponies like me… .” “How so… ?” Shining asked.

Growling a bit, Cadence replied with, “as much as I love you Shining… you have no idea what it’s like to be a teenage gamer with a pimple… . Trust me… . You teenage colts might think it’s nothing bad… but for those like me… it isn’t.” Shining Armor just blinked at that, and then replied with, “okay honey… whatever you say… “ before leaving to go do something else.

Cadence just growled and grumbled a bit before sighing and passing out from sheer exhaustion.

Few hours later… .

“Cadence… ? I’m back!” Shining called from the front doorway. “How is everything going up there?”

After a few seconds without a response, Shining just decided to just go upstairs and check on his beloved.

Before opening the door to her room, for obvious reasons, Shining decided to take a deep breath, and then prepared to knock.

Just then, Cadence opened the door, surprisingly pimple-less. Seeing her date all shocked, she responded with, “I just used magic to cure it, and it worked!” She then blushed before continuing with, “I just hope that it doesn’t backfire is all… . Hehehe… .”

Shining Armor just shook his head to regain his composure, and then replied with; “I hope so… . If it does backfire, then let’s hope that cream would finally help.” Cadence smiled, nodded with a bit of a nervous chuckle, and then took Shining inside her room to probably either apply makeup on him, or maybe get him to try out her dresses as a model of sorts because she’s bored and wants to have some fun with her date.

Meanwhile, slowly but surely, the recently disappeared pimple then began to appear, but now with more than one showing up at a time until it covered one of her cheeks. And as if on cue, Cadence starts screaming due to seeing it happen on the mirror.
