Chapter 4: Past Memory
Previous ChapterNext Chapter"You don't deserve anything you shy freak," Hoops said while punching Fluttershy in her face.
"I've never seen Hoops beat someone like this before," Score whispered to Dumbbell, "He literally has her pinned down and is beating the crap out of her."
"What else did you expect? Everyone finds it more fun to bully her than Rainbow Crash. Unless..." Dumbbell glared at Score, "You're becoming a whimp like her."
Score punched Dumbbell in the arm, "Don't even start."
"Whatever."
Hoops finally stood up, "Let this be a warning to you, Klutzershy," he walked away with his knuckles bruised and bloody.
Dumbbell followed him, "Let's go, Score."
"Mhm..."
***
"Second grade is the worst," A certain 7-year old was running through the hallway with a soccer ball in her hands, "I wonder why 'Shy is-" she crashed into someone.
"Watch it, Rainbow Crash!!" Hoops punched her in the arm, "Don't make me give you a beating too."
"Whatever," Rainbow Dash stood up and grabbed her soccer ball, then she kicked Hoops in the lower area before running off.
"You'll get yours..." Hoops fell to the floor in absolute pain.
Score and Dumbbell winced.
***
"What did he mean by 'too'?" Rainbow kicked her soccer ball throughout the Cloudsdale hallways, "Like I'd let him beat me up," she kicked the ball out of anger causing it to fly down the hallway with significant speed, "I didn't know I could kick a ball like that," she giggled and ran after the ball, "I'm totally going to do that again."
The soccer ball reached it's stop in front of a water fountain, "Gotcha," Rainbow looked around before kicking the ball to avoid any unwanted attention by teachers, but saw someone in the distance, "Are you serious?!" She ran as fast as she could to Fluttershy, "'Shy, wake up!! Please!!"

40 minutes later...
The nurse sighed, "Today's Friday, this would be the fifth day that you've been in my office with major scars, who's bullying you?"
"No one..." Fluttershy meekly spoke, "I'm f-fine."
"No you're not!!" Rainbow Dash yelled, "Say it's Hoops and those other two jerks!! Why are you pretec- protex-," she groaned, "standing up for them..."
Windy walked into the room, "Stop, Rainbow Dash."
Fluttershy ran behind the nurse.
"Mom?? What are you doing here??"
"You couldn't reach Lily I assume?" Windy asked the nurse.
"Indeed. Your number is labeled as an emergency number for Fluttershy."
Windy sighed, "Come on, Fluttershy, you're going to come with me and Rainbow Dash."
"I-I don't want to..."
"Please?"
Fluttershy slowly walked from behind the nurse and Windy's jaw nearly fell off, "What the hel-" she cleared her throat and held her tongue, "What happened to her face?" She said while trying to hide anger.
"She won't tell me, but I think someone beat her up."
"Hoops, Dumbbell and Score!!" Rainbow stomped in place, "Hoops said 'don't make me beat you up too' or something like that," she eventually stopped stomping.
"Fluttershy, is that true?" Windy asked.
Fluttershy didn't say anything, but slowly nodded.
"See!!" Rainbow Dash glared at Fluttershy, "Why would you ever protext them?? They're always rude to you!!"
"I didn't think it was a big deal..."
"The BIG DEAL is the bandage that's now across your face because of THEM!! Why don't you stand up for yourself, or hit them back for once??"
"It i-isn't nice."
"It's not nice for them to beat the shit out of you."
"Rainbow Dash!! You do not speak like that!!" Windy harshly scolded her daughter and sighed, "Sorry for this spectacle," she grabbed Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash by the hand, "I'll take these two now."
"O-Of course, have a nice weekend."
***
"Where did you learn language like that, Rainbow Dash??" Bow looked down at his daughter with disappointment.
"The older kids."
Bow sighed, "You're on punishment until tomorrow. That means no going outside. Do you understand?"
"Yes, Dad..."
"Now go upstairs and sit, okay?" Windy said.
Rainbow Dash put her head downcast and walked up the stairs.
Fluttershy watched her.
Windy sighed, "We might've been a bit harsh with her," she looked over at Fluttershy and had a feeling about what she was thinking, "You can go upstairs if you want," she smiled, "I'll make you both food."
"Thank you," Fluttershy stood up and ran upstairs.
Bow groaned, "Isn't this defeating the whole purpose of our scolding."
Windy walked to the kitchen cabinet and pulled out a stainless steel pot, "Just wait."
***
Rainbow Dash threw her soccer ball at the wall, "Stupid mouth."
Knock Knock
Rainbow Dash ran to her door, cracked it open, and looked through the door. Once she saw who it was she rolled her eyes, "What do you want?"
"Can I come in please...?"
"No, I don't want to talk to you," she slammed the door in Fluttershy's face.
"Okay," Fluttershy stood outside Rainbow's door, "I'll be here to talk when you're ready."
Rainbow Dash jumped back on her bed, but her conscience was nagging at her. Fluttershy always gave her comfort after serious happened, at least, that's what Rainbow thought. Even when she had acted rude towards her, Fluttershy still remained friends with her and showed her an abundant amount of kindness.
What am I doing?
Rainbow Dash stood up again, opened the door, and quickly pulled Fluttershy in her room.
"Are you ready to-"
Rainbow Dash hugged her tightly and started crying.
Although Rainbow Dash hadn't said anything, Fluttershy knew that she would want to talk later, it always ended up happening at some point, and that conversation was probably going to drain them both. She returned Rainbow's hug, and both girls remained silent.
***
"Where's my daughter?!"
"Calm down, Lily," Windy finished putting away all the dishes she used, "She's upstairs with Rainbow Dash. I'll call them down."
"We're here..." Rainbow Dash stood next to Fluttershy in the doorway, "Guess you're going home now," Rainbow Dash gave her another hug, "Thank you for listening to me," she whispered.
"What happened to you?!" Lily ran to Fluttershy, causing Dash to end their hug quickly, "Did someone hurt you??"
"Mom, I'm tired, can we please go home??"
Lily sighed and took Fluttershy by her hand, "Thank you, Windy. I gave Bow the money."
"Lily, that's not necessary."
"Just take it, please," Lily and Fluttershy walked through the front door and Lily closed it behind her.
"Honestly, why does she..."
"Mom."
"Yes?"
"I'm sorry, you know, for today," Rainbow Dash felt a sharp stab to her small growing ego, but this decision felt right than saying nothing at all.
Windy smiled, "Fluttershy got through to you huh?"
Rainbow Dash stomped in place, "Mom!!"
"I'm right though," she laughed, "She's a good influence on you."
Rainbow Dash stopped stomping and grumbled, "I guess so..."
***
Meanwhile with Fluttershy...
"So, sweetie, do I think you've found a friend?"
"Maybe...?" Fluttershy spoke softly, "I don't think this friendship is going to last very long..."
"Why is that??"
"I always do something wrong..."
Lily sighed, She's so self-conscious, and at such a young age. "Dear, you should really have more faith in yourself and in Rainbow Dash. When you both get older you may have a couple of hiccups here and there, but I doubt you two will ever fallout."
"Fallout??"
"Stop being friends, Fluttershy."
"If you say so," Fluttershy placed her head on the car door and enjoyed the ride.
Zephyr started laughing, "Hehe, sissy's sleepy," he tried fighting the booster seat he was sitting in to reach Fluttershy. She started giggling at her brother's antics and he stared at her. Then he picked up his toy bear and threw it at his sister.
"Hey now," Lily looked through the rear-view mirror, "Zephyr, be nice to your sister."
"Yes mommy..."
Fluttershy grabbed the bear and gave it back to Zephyr, "Here, don't throw it again please."
"Hmph!! Why sissy get to see Rainbow hair and I can't!!"
"Well Zephyr, your sister is friends with her."
"I want to be friends with Rainbow hair too!!" Zephyr began throwing a fit.
Lily sighed then chuckled to herself, "I have two very interesting kids..."
